Wakfu art dump because yes

This post is gonna be super long because I will ramble IN DEPTH today

So huh if you like my rambling or my art just read ig, otherwise scroll away idk what to tell ya

Showing some of my art and ramble because wakfu is part of my current big 3 hyperfixations ( along with WH and Trolls )

So huh enjoy my growing insanity ( I compiled it in one post to not annoy people too much :')

Presenting my oc Sharm !

An (very pink) Eliotrope

She's based on my in game character but I kinda gave her lore and a story so

⭐INFODUMP about Wakfu in general ! ⭐

Basic infos for those who don't know anything about Wakfu :

Wakfu is a french animated serie made by the studio Ankama, who also made several mmorpg games ( and way more, like the amount of content and lore is crazy)

Most of the stories will take place on the World of Twelves, populated by 12 main races (with many variation)

And there is a 13th "main race", the Eliatropes, which is the race of the main character of the anime, Yugo

Eliotropes ( with a o instead of a) are a subrace of the Eliatropes ( lore is explained in the serie but I don't wanna spoil, so to boil it down, Eliotropes are unstable pale copies of eliatropes) [ they are playable in the game wakfu]

So, what about Sharm ? Well she was born a pretty regular Eliotrope. She had two "brothers", Chance and Vitali, who unfortunately ended up fading away with time ( mechanically, when an Eliotrope die, his/her essence will go to the nearest Eliotrope to allow them to live longer)

So Sharm was left alone for very long, and stayed in Eliatropes ruins she found. Those were overgrown by stasis ( type of crystals, very bad, generally associated with corruption and destruction)

However, the essence she got from her siblings passing could only last so long

One day, in a desperate attempt to not die, Sharm took stasis and...ate it. Chewed on the mf crystals, and surprisingly, an interesting reaction occured : it stabilised her essence. It also made her basically frozen in development, Sharm cannot grow anymore and her power levels are quite limited in quantity, unless she uses stasis.

So my girl went through the ages, she kept on researching on the remnant of the eliatrope race ( wiped out aside from a few) and became sort of an archeologist

Nowadays, Sharm travels from a country/city to an other, often with mercenaries she hires as bodyguards . The other two ocs in this sketch page are the said mercenaries

And the cat is called Noiraude !

Sharm needs protection because she is stupidly useless in combat

I kinda just need to scream for a moment

Beware, big spoilers for the serie ahead ! Stop now and go watch Wakfu !! It's all on Netflix ( season 1, season 2, then the 3 oav, THEN season 3 and you will be ready for season 4 :D)

So, this character is Nora (second drawing is a headcanon version of her)

Who is Nora ? She is the sixth eliatrope of the Council ( Eliatropes are rules by the six first borns of the race who can reincarnate along with their dragon twin)

Nora appeared for the first time in a flashback the episode "Quilbi" in season 2

In 2011

And back then she was in a flashback, so presumed dead from the war that wiped out the Eliatropes

BUT

Lately, as clips and trailers of season 4 of Wakfu has been released

It's confirmed that Nora is there

She's alive

She's in season 4

She is real

The finale is coming.

Episodes 11-12-13 are coming soon now.

But despite feeling excited, the main thing I’m feeling right now is dread and confusion.

Dread because there will be big things coming up in those episodes.

And confusion because this will be the finale.

But it doesn’t feel like a finale. Sure, it doesn’t feel like it cuz we’ll then have the manga following season 4 (and the game which has always been available for anyone) but it just won’t feel the same.

For many, Wakfu came from their childhood so seeing it leave just like that feels very weird. It’s always been here and now it’s leaving? Yeah, we’ve all seen it coming, that’s what happens to shows but it’s been there for so long that we might’ve thought it would stay a bit longer.

I’m ranting because I genuinely don’t know how to feel for the near ending. On one hand, I’m excited to see more episodes but I’m also aware that these will be the last ones. If Tot changes something throughout his plan however then I’ll be extremely happy since Okoo did claim that Wakfu got first place on the app.

I just know that this won’t be the end of Wakfu though. It’ll only be over for the show. Something that most of us grew up with and came back to check on from time to time.

And that’s what I’ll keep doing no matter if it’s over for Wakfu and Waven comes in.

HELLO HELLO MY SUNBEAMS. For most every category, there was an impressive turn-out for pitches, so I thought we’d utilize the weirdness of this year’s GIFTENING to give something new a try. The popular vote winner for each category will happen on the first day, but on the second, the winner will be chosen from YOUR PITCHES. Mostly those pitches will be to me. The exception is in Miscellaneous, where you’ll be pitching to my family, because what I want to do and what is most entertaining isn’t necessarily the same thing.

So! How will we do this thing? GLAD YOU ASKED. I’ll link you to a form in a minute with space for one pitch. Once you fill it out, you’ll be asked if you want to do another. There’s no limit to the number of pitches you can send in! But remember that if you submit multiple entries for the same category, you’ll basically be competing against yourself.

NOW WE’VE GOT SOME RULES FOR DOING THIS (which I mostly stole from Holligay, because I have no creativity this year). Please read them carefully! I’ll toss pitches that break any of these, and I’d rather your hard work not go to waste.

I am glad for the Wakfu S4 Kickstarter but

For every Wakfu fan out there we must be all happy that the kickstarter is going great and we are so close on getting that 13 episode. However is anyone worried that season 4 might be good. Now I know what you are thinking��“But Ninja they made almost a million euros to fund it it can’t be bad” That is true but I must remind you guys on another kickstarter that made as twice as much money and still failed. FLASH REPORT: Wakfu Season 4 is Now Currently in Production [#OneNETnewsEXCLUSIVE]

PARIS, FRANCE -- A longest running french animated cartoon known as Wakfu, now on it's 4th Season with a new information from a press release as first reported from a news article of Gamosaurus.

Based from a yearly programme line-up of 2021 to 2022, the production company of Ankama Animations secures a broadcast rights to France Télévisions for a contract renewal in a first quarter of 2021, which is a free-TV public broadcasting arm of France 3 & France 4 for Okoo's children and teens programming block.

Subsequently since the online fundraising of Kickstarter was skyrocketed and fully-funded a year ago at the end of June 2020 (during a post-Pandemic of CoViD19 in France), a total of almost 18,000 backers of €UR1.5M (PHP89M) or 72% from the actual animated production price of €UR1.1M for Episode #13 in season finale, as according to our Research Team of OneNETnews.

Show Creator of Wakfu was named by Anthony Roux reveals from a tweet post:

In a roughly translated French dialect as the show creator (Roux) told exclusively to OneNETnews, there will be 13 new episodes for this 4th season within 22mins. long each and a 2 new specials for 40mins. long. One is the Oropo special, and the other is a secret one (for the exclusive backers of Kickstarter themselves when given a private direct link when it's fully-funded). Wakfu probably connects the essential events from a history of Krosmoz previously from Season 3 (based from a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game or MMORPG) as Gamosaurus reported.

In between to 2 new specials, the Ankama team will conduct a pre-production episodes later this year in September onwards. While the episode writings, storyboards and others are included in the coming several months will commence by early 2022 or more. But, we don't have any information yet for a televised release date for France 3 and/or France 4 as according to Roux.

Here is a final show synopsis and information, direct from the France Télévisions' press release to our news team:

"After the destructive battle with the antagonist suspect named Oropo and their own personal demons, Radyo Patrol #11 reporter (Yugo the Eliatrope) and his friends (Amalia S. Sharm, an Ankama News stringer reporter for OneNETnews; Tristepin de Percedal & Evangelyne Percedal; married and the affiliation of a Brotherhood of the Tofu) find themselves at the gates of Ingloriom, the kingdom of the gods. The Brotherhood of the Tofu (TBT) don't have time to wonder what the Twelve Gods have in store for them in response to the sacrilege, the floating lands have been completely devastated! Is there a connection between their recent victory and the chaos in Ingloriom? Are they responsible for this situation, or are they dealing with something far worse? And how far will our heroes have to go this time?"

If you look at a single promotional photo, there is a possibility either a fight scenes with his magically cross-bladed weapon or the inception of a fast-teleported direction to a locally numerous portals upon heading out probably to Ingloriom or places with a new location personally on the go. The expectations from a french cartoon of Wakfu might get a bit challenging for a kids show in advance, as under the rules from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Unfortunately from a kids block of Okoo on France Télévisions, there is a catch. France 4 and France Ô will officially having a Final Broadcast probably on Free TV, Digital TV or both starting in late mid-August 2021 as Le Parisien reported in a news article. Françoise Nyssen, a former Minister of Culture was announced in June 2018 says, a televised cost-cutting from a double broadcast closure should allow France Télévisions to save money. Educational and/or Cartoon programming may have a last resort for some time, France 4 and France Ô recalls in extremis the role as a public broadcasting station (which is owned by a French Government).

Okoo will continue to serve in most of a children and teens programming either in a newer shows (Nate is Late, Rabbids Invasion, etc.) or the reruns (like LoliRock and Angelo Rules for example) of France Télévisions themselves, except for France Ô (which is an Overseas French Departments and Collectivities station in real life).

In a meantime for a post-Pandemic of CoViD19 in France, it is best to support the show and the original show creator like Roux for a new episodes straight from a production company of Ankama Animations.

The new season of Wakfu in Season 4 is coming soon -- on-air, online at France.tv, and on the France TV & Okoo APP (only if you live altogether in France).
