#vote this november to protect basic human rights
it is. so weird to me that I'm having to say this again after a real-life cartoon supervillian already once ran for president on a platform of hatred & fascism and won, but.
it's November, please fucking vote

If I may outline my thoughts re: "Vote blue no matter who"
Preview: I see electoralism as a component of most coherent ideologies and the harm reduction argument everyone makes is, of course, correct.
Vote blue no matter who.
It's a mantra I've been aware of for at least the last 8 years, but the attitude has been around since forever.
Fundamentally, it asks that nobody ever expect things of the Democrats. It asks that nobody ever demand progress, ever expect that the government behave like a functioning government.
It says, with its' whole chest: do what I tell you or you will be hurt.
And I get it, comfortable libs and more moderate/ "realist" progressives are making the best argument they know to make; the national party is so mired in gerentrocracy that expecting any radical progress is like expecting the moon to fall out of the sky. And, when it gets right down to it, stasis isn't really so bad is it?
The basic axiom of the argument isn't even wrong, the Republicans would be a hundred times worse in power, everything we feel guilty about as a nation would only accelerate and self-destruction isn't forgiveness, it's just cashing out. Fundamentally we do have a responsibility to make sure this machine that turns human suffering into value for the capital holding class harms as few people as possible.
But the libs just aren't listening. Progressives and leftists aren't arguing (save for a few heavily discouraged accelerationist trains of thought) that burning it all down helps anything. We're asking why the machine that turns human suffering into capital needs to exist at all.
I will vote for Biden come this November. But I won't feel any pride for it. I know he'll make soothing mouth sounds and do nothing while my trans siblings and me remain under siege. He'll frown at the right times while selling more and more weapons to a genocidal state at cost. He'll shrug and smile gormlessly while rents skyrocket and people drown under mountains of debt.
Our problem, everyone, is that things will not get better under Biden and we are being told to be glad for that. We are being told it is either the continuation of these intolerable circumstances or that we will be hurt for our disloyalty.
You aren't promising hope, you aren't linking arms with us and saying "wow, You're right, policing is fucked we should deal with that". You aren't looking out across this nation plagued with so many problems and seeing government as a tool to fix it - you only promise things won't get worse if we're obedient.
And then, what happens after election day? After your blue wave. My voice will not be heard. My friends who are out of their minds with terror will not be helped. My friends struggling to pay rent will not be protected. I will be told to be a good tranny and shut up because "it's early days" "well you can't expect everything you want" "It's an election year, why are you spreading disloyalty, do you want to be hurt?"
You are not engaging with the conversation. You are screaming a threat at us then demanding silence when we ask if things will ever improve.

I reblog a lot of political posts on here so I guess it's only natural I'd make one myself at some point. Anyways... (*deep breath*)
While Genocide Joe absolutely deserve to have his approval ratings plummet for ongoing support of the IDF's brutal invasion of Gaza, I worry about what this means for the elections this year.
I worry about how many people realize that refusing to vote blue at all in November to protest a genocide could lead to another one in their own country over an angrier Trump.
Palestinian lives matter, do not get me wrong. Do not stop talking about Palestine. But we all know Trump's not going to fix it. He's going to endorse it.
Just like how he'll endorse America becoming its worst possible self at this point.
I don't know if it will get as bad as Gaza, but I know that I have a lot of friends who mean so much to me that could be put in serious danger if the government doubles down on rolling back basic human rights. Especially internet privacy and protection for queer people.
I know it's sickening to see another POTUS endorse another attack on an Arab country with all the horrific casualties it entails, but listen.
I watched the last one endorse turning the country into a living nightmare with influence still felt today, wondering if my friends--my only real friends at the time--would make it if he got another term.
It's not a perfect solution I know. But unless you guys are ready to storm the White House for different reasons this year, and you have a plan to keep this kind of scenario from ever happening again, you need to vote in the Democrat primaries and/or vote Democrat in the November elections.
And yes,
Palestine still matters.
But so does the trans community.
So does the gay community.
So does the ace community.
So does the black community.
So does America's own muslim and arab communities.
So does every community living in America under threat.

Malcolm Kenyatta wins historic race on road to becoming PA’s first out statewide official
Out gay Pennsylvania state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta (D) won his primary race against Mark Pinsley for the role of auditor general, an administrative position overseeing the state’s accounting and financial functions. Kenyatta’s victory makes him the first out gay man to be selected by a major party for a statewide office in Pennsylvania history. If Kenyatta wins in the November general election against Republican incumbent Tim DeFoor (the state’s first-ever Black auditor general) Kenyatta would become the first out LGBTQ+ statewide official in the state. “I am honored to be your nominee and look forward to serving you as the next Auditor General,” Kenyatta said after beating Pinsley by winning over 64% of the vote. “As Auditor, on day one, I will rebuild the Bureau of School Audits and demand accountability from all schools. I will also create the first-ever Bureau of Labor and Worker Protections to take on wage theft, employee misclassification, and union busting. Additionally, I will use the power of the office to measure and support efforts to make communities healthier and safer.” Kenyatta became the first LGBTQ+ person of color to be elected to the Pennsylvania General Assembly when he won his 2018 race at the age of 28 in a landslide victory. After receiving compliments from former President Barack Obama, Kenyatta was one of 17 rising star Democrats to deliver the keynote address at the 2020 Democratic National Convention and one of the first three out LGBTQ+ people ever to do so. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kenyatta was booed by his peers while talking about fair wages for essential workers.  In 2022, Kenyatta lost his bid to become his party’s candidate for the U.S. Senate. That same year, he married his longtime fiancé Dr. Matthew Jordan-Miller. “As somebody who inhabits all of these intersections, growing up in an incredibly poor neighborhood to a working poor family, as one of only two openly LGBTQ members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly and the only one that’s a person of color, I see all the different ways that frankly our systems are broken,” he told LGBTQ Nation last year. In general, Kenyatta thinks the government should work for working families and believes in what he calls a “basic bargain” that says everyone should have access to safe and affordable housing, quality healthcare, a safe education, and clean neighborhoods. Several LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations praised Kenyatta’s victory on Monday. “Pennsylvanians trust Malcolm Kenyatta to be their watchdog as auditor general because that’s exactly what he’s been as a legislator,” said Annise Parker, president and CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Fund. “He has the experience to win this race and carry on his fight for students, seniors, and workers as Pennsylvania’s auditor general. LGBTQ+ Americans are severely underrepresented in public office and the numbers are even worse for Black LGBTQ+ representation. I look forward to doing everything I can to mobilize LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians and our allies to get out and vote for Malcolm this November so we can make history.” Brandon Wolf, National Press Secretary for the Human Rights Campaign, said, “Malcolm’s overwhelming victory in this race is a big deal. Not too long ago, the idea that a gay, Black man from Philadelphia would be the nominee for statewide office in Pennsylvania would have been unimaginable. This victory is, first and foremost, a testament to Malcolm’s unflagging work ethic and the fact that Pennsylvanians know he will have their back as Auditor General.” While Biden and Trump won their primaries in the state, 157,126 Republican voters (representing 16.6% of the vote) voted for Trump’s former political opponent Nikki Haley, and ⁦68,556 Democratic voters (representing 6.9% of the vote) voted for U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips (D-PA). These votes could signal continued intra-party disapproval of Biden’s handling of Israel’s ongoing attacks in Gaza and Trump’s authoritarian leadership of the Republican party. The state primary race also saw a… http://dlvr.it/T5zKBm

Tucson turned out in a big way for Secretary of State candidate Adrian Fontes. I haven't seen him in person in a very long time. I forgot how tall he is! Fontes gave a very inspirational speech yesterday at the LD18 event at Brother John's. I told him that one thing he has going for him with the LD18 crowd is that we pretty much universally hate his opponent Rep. Mar Finchem. For years, LD9/18 PCs have been targeting Finchem and working hard to oust him from the Arizona Legislature. We are working even harder to keep that Oath Keeper, election denier, insurrectionist, Trump sycophant and dangerous kook from becoming Secretary of State. We don't want an election denier who wants to suppress your right to vote and refuse to certify elections on a whim as Secretary of State. It is a gross understatement to say that there is a lot at stake in the November 8 election. Please vote Democrat to protect our basic human rights and our country. @adrian.fontes @ld18dems @pimadems @palf_aflcio (at Tucson, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjOCqHppXxoLRlE7qXcUNCX_Mormyi_Qpau_qw0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Myanmar’s military seized power from the democratically elected government yesterday, declaring a state of emergency and detaining leader Aung San Suu Kyi and several of her allies.
The coup comes after allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 elections as the ruling NLD secured a landslide victory. The country is now back under military rule after a decade, tanks and soldiers are positioned in major cities, and leaders have urged the people to reject the coup.
The southeast Asian nation is no stranger to military rule which previously lasted for over four decades. The military’s involvement in politics also remained high even after it began ceding power a little over a decade ago.
Here’s a timeline of the key events in Myanmar’s power tussle:
1948
The nation then known as Burma gained independence from British rule on 4 January and became an independent republic. A constitutional government was formed and politician U Nu was nominated as the first prime minister of independent Myanmar. However, a year before, Aung San, who led the movement of independence, was assassinated. Aung San Suu Kyi is his only daughter and youngest child.
1962
Democracy was first suspended in the country following a coup in 1962, marking the beginning of the four decade long direct military rule. Military leader Ne Win, who staged the coup, ruled the country for the coming years. Pro-democracy protests against the junta, also known as “8888 Uprising”, peaked following years of economic stagnation and were met with a bloody military crackdown which led to thousands of deaths, according to rights groups. However, the official figures only attribute a figure of 350 deaths.
1988
Aung San Suu Kyi returned to Myanmar during the pro-democracy protests and emerged as a national icon.
...
1989
Ms Suu Kyi, who established herself as an outspoken critic of the junta, was put under house arrest for the first time as elections approached. She founded her party, the National League for Democracy, in 1988.
1990
The military government called for elections in which Ms Suu Kyi’s party contested and won a landslide victory. Ms Suu Kyi was being pitched as a prime ministerial candidate by some as her party secured 80 per cent of the seats, but the government could never be formed as the military government nullified the results and refused to concede, resulting in a global outcry.
Ms Suu Kyi was again placed under house arrest at her home in capital Rangoon, now known as Yangon. She won the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990, and the Nobel Peace Prize one year later in 1991.
1996
Ms Suu Kyi was released from house arrest in 1995. A year later, her convoy was attacked by 200 men, who attacked her car with metal batons, chains, stones and other weapons, breaking the rear window and doors. The NLD filed a complaint with the police, forcing the government to launch an investigation. However, according to reports, no action was taken.
2003
Ms Suu Kyi was again lodged in house arrest, which the government claimed was for her own safety.
2008
After several protests, the military framed a constitution and carried out a referendum; soon after, Cyclone Nargis wreaked havoc in the country, leaving thousands dead.
That same year, the constitution was approved by the people with 92 per cent voting in its favour. This was the first time the people of Myanmar had voted since 1990, marking the beginning of the process of democratisation.
...
2010
The election was held but Ms Suu Kyi’s NLD, which wasn’t allowed to take power in 1990, did not participate. Over 40 parties contested the elections and the pro-junta USDP declared victory. The elections were called fraudulent by the United Nations and many western countries.
Ms Suu Kyi was released from house arrest six days after the elections in November. Until that time, she had spent a long part of a 21 year period in detention.
2012
For the first time, Ms Suu Kyi held a public office after winning a by-election seat. She officially became the leader of the opposition party as her party secured 43 of the 45 contested seats.
She began campaigning for reforms in the constitution to include basic rights of the citizens and demanded an independent judiciary.
2015
Myanmar’s first openly held general elections took place in November 2015 where Ms Suu Kyi’s NLD won by a landslide victory, securing a majority in both houses. The party formed the government for the first time, however, Ms Suu Kyi was constitutionally barred from becoming the prime minister because her husband and both sons were British.
However, she took over as the head of the state with a newly formed role of state councillor, a position with the similar powers of a prime minister. The military also retained significant power in the government.
2017
A brutal military crackdown followed in Rakhine after an insurgent attack left several dead. Violent clashes had been ongoing in the area for over a year. Sectarian violence erupted against the Rohingya Muslim population in the area which was termed  “ethnic cleansing” by UN high commissioner for human rights.
The situation worsened in August 2017, when over five million Rohingyas fled Myanmar to reach neighbouring countries like Bangladesh. The ethnic minority community had been facing persecution for years.
According to the UN, the campaign of mass killing, rape, and arson was carried out with “genocidal intent”, which Myanmar denied. Ms Suu Kyi later defended Myanmar against genocide charges brought at the Hague.
Rohingya refugees gather in 'no man's land’ behind Myanmar's border
2020
Elections took place after five years when Ms Suu Kyi’s NLD again secured an outright majority with more votes than before, giving Ms Suu Kyi a second term as state councillor. However, the military-backed USDP alleged irregularities in the vote, demanding the military to intervene.
2021
On 26 January, army military spokesperson Zaw Min Tun warned the army will “take action” their concerns were not addressed, hinting at staging a coup.
However, the claims of voter fraud were rejected by the election commission which said there was no proof of fraud or rigging.
Soon after its statement of protecting the constitution, Myanmar’s military staged a coup and took control of the country once again. They also declared an emergency for one year, citing the government’s failure to act against its claims of voter fraud.
Now, Ms Suu Kyi has been put under house arrest once again, along with other senior government officials detained during the series of early morning raids.

"The Democratic Party is structurally unable to deliver even many of the softly progressive measures its leaders periodically claim to want — and that, by extension, an administration headed by a figure like Joe Biden was almost certain to yield a very predictable result.
At the end of the day, you can’t politically align with both sick people and pharmaceutical companies. There’s no squaring the contradictions of a health care system that puts insurance industry profits ahead of human needs, or an economy officially based on 'equality of opportunity' that allows a tiny few to ascend to the status of neo-feudal barons while broad swathes of the working class are literally dying daily and defaulting on their bills. There are no 'moderate' solutions to climate change. There’s no reasonable, pragmatic compromise to be had between protecting the basic rights of black Americans to vote and allowing the Republican Party to gerrymander the electoral map into one that creates a system of permanent minority rule. You cannot simultaneously seek a mandate for reform while also, as Biden did, promising that 'nothing will fundamentally change.'
These contradictions, and the electoral results they so regularly produce, are ultimately born of a political model that incessantly pretends to be something it’s not. The Left has no claim to an electoral magic wand certain to produce victory. But there’s something elegantly straightforward about staking out clear positions, offering up big and popular policies, and then rallying actual support for them outside an insular and parochial political establishment. This was the progressive alternative the Democratic establishment successfully rallied to defeat in 2020. It’s also what they decidedly opted not to do after a landslide victory in 2008, ushering in an era of successive electoral drubbings that culminated in the disaster of 2016.
With some marginal differences, the Biden era is turning out exactly as many of us on the Left both predicted and feared that it would. And, if the emerging consensus about this week’s elections is any indication, the next few years look destined to follow a template we’ve seen many times before."

If you have the time/mental energy, could you do an update of some type on your History May Not Repeat Itself post?
I don’t know that a formal update of the post in question would really be useful, but I went back to re-examine it and I do have a few thoughts.
I am exceptionally displeased at the state of my country right now, of course, and the governance of it in the last three and a half years has been absolutely abohorrent. But I am also glad that many of the direst predictions either were averted or occurred only in confined and specific circumstances. For example, restriction of the media has taken place, but generally it’s been confined to either the circumstantial (see: media coverage of the protests right now) or the harmless (does anyone really give a shit that people have been banned from White House press briefings when they’re nothing but the preening of a cowardly narcissist). The circumstantial and the harmless are bad, but they could have been systematized into something much, much worse.
Much of what has happened hasn’t been harmless, of course. Hate crime escalated exponentially under Trump, and I include under that umbrella the institutionalized, homicidal racism of the police, as well as ICE and the systematic murderousness of its prison camps. Over a hundred thousand people are dead and over two million have been infected from the pandemic; in ten to twenty years there will be a pulmonary health crisis in this country that will further escalate the problems that have begun now (if you want to be a truly cynical capitalist, wait until the pandemic has been over for 2-3 years, then buy stock in medical equipment and pharma companies that deal in lung health and hold onto it for a decade or so). The economy is in free fall, and poverty has escalated sharply; we will emerge from this quarantine as a country deeply, profoundly in debt even as we struggle to support the most vulnerable among us. And we may not emerge into that for a long, long time.
Currently I’m seeing articles about military leaders speaking out against the president and subtle hints at military insurrection, and while I’m glad Trump probably can’t declare martial law and make it stick, the conspiracy of generals against elected officials is almost never a good thing for the rest of the country. A military coup would not be a good thing even a tiny little bit. I hope the military is angry enough at Trump to vote Dem but not quite angry enough at Trump to oust him by force of arms.
I do find it rather darkly funny that I predicted a terror attack on American soil possibly rigged by the Trump administration, and they couldn’t even get their shit together enough to rig one. The best they could do is try and manufacture a threat by whining about Antifa and even that took them three years of wracking their brains.
In all, I’m glad that the worst case scenarios I laid out in History May Not Repeat Itself have not come to pass, but just because the worst case didn’t happen doesn’t mean things aren’t really, really bad. And if Trump is re-elected, things will get worse; if between now and November he tries to grip harder and the military reacts, we will be in a lot of trouble.
This is a tipping point, right here, right now, because a paranoid child will lash out against any perceived attack, and Trump is in the bunker metaphorically as well as physically. Our healthcare system is broken at a time when the pandemic has not passed and may yet grow worse. Our unemployment rate is Depression-level serious and that won’t get better fast. Our country is deeply divided and one side of that divide is uninterested in kindness, compassion, or basic human decency. And they tend to have more guns.
Countries older than ourselves have fallen; it’s not impossible that we will too. Right now it’s hard to see that this is one of the most crucial moments in the great experiment of democracy.
Depending on what happens between now and November, history may not even see this, or not long remember it. Things may smooth over, as it were; the protests have already achieved a lot and may achieve more, we may elect a decent president or at least a decent majority Congress in November, and we may be able to set about fixing what was recently broken as well as what has been broken in this country since before its founding. 2020 may not go down in history. I hope that’s the case.
But if people were waiting to act, if they were holding back because progress is a marathon and not a sprint, now is the time to jump in -- to speak up, to protest, to vote, and to resist hatred in whatever form it shows itself.
My steps to take from that essay are still valid: think critically, protect the vulnerable, protest the powerful. I think the only step I would add is to remember to be kind to one another.

Secret Police in America
We have been saying that Trump is a dangerous figure that does not respect democracy from day one, and now we face the worst possible threat. This of course ties closely to the militarization of police, which the right wing has been working on for years. In this post I’m going to break down secret police and how they exist right now. There is a lot to unpack here, so I’m going to break this up into a short Q and A style.
What are secret police?
What makes a security for secret, and separate from normal police, is chiefly the lack of identity. These actors wear masks, carry no identification, will not respond to questions, and will never be identified to the public. They also will not be identified to local police authorities. This means the public has zero ability to hold them accountable for abuse or misconduct. Secret police are also characterized by lack of oversight. The public usually has no information on who these people take their orders from.
Why are secret police bad?
The number one reason is that these parties act outside of the scope of the law. That sounds strange, because it’s hard to imagine law enforcement being illegal. However, the key difference is that normal police operate on rules and regulations that have requirements for action, but secret police act solely on whim and have no clear requirements to justify them taking action (more on that further down). Secret police have only ever been maintained in authoritarian/fascist states. It is impossible for a secret police force to be maintained within a true democracy. The reason for this being that democracies are based on the concept of public accountability over government and representative action. Secret police are literally the opposite of this model. Furthermore, the motivation and purpose of secret police is completely anti-democratic. Secret police have never existed to maintain law and order. They are purely enforcers of a leader’s political agenda and meant to strike fear into those who decent. This is why we see them pop up during a major protest and why Trump has threatened to send them to other cities “run by liberal democrats.” Historically, we can clearly see that a leader uses secret police when their policies and actions are in extreme opposition to the people and there is heavy political resistance. These leaders have given up on winning politically or maintaining order and protecting civil rights. They choose control over human rights and democracy.
Are secret police legal?
Secret police generally start out as an illegal force that violates it’s citizen’s rights and later becomes legalized when an authoritarian gains more power. The secret police’s actions in America are 100% illegal and their very creation is is anti-democratic. Their actions are illegal because they violate the 4th Amendment, which prevents law enforcement from making seizures without probable cause or warrants. Trump’s legal defense of them right now is that they are operating under the rule that can “arrest” anyone if they believe that a felony has happened or will take place. The key here is that they do not require probable cause, only the suspicion of a crime. Also, the Trump admin has stripped away the proviso for this group that their actions cannot be solely on First Amendment activity. This literally means these men are being told they can “arrest” people for protesting. This, of course, is completely illegal. This is why none of the representatives of the people of Portland or Oregon want these forces in their city or state.
How did Trump create this secret police force?
The how of this is intertwined with the militarization of police forces. It was ten years ago when I first protested police militarization online and on my college campus. Now we are facing the worst case of police militarization. The core of this creation has to do with the DHS. Over the course of Trump’s presidency, he has fired or pushed out every single Presidential appointed leader in the DHS. As he usually does with other institutions, he only partially filled the gaps and with inexperienced loyalists. The agency has been acting with a shortage of leadership and a lack of oversight for some time now. Trump has made use of this and altered the already broad purview of the DHS to create his Domestic Security Force, or secret police. This secret police force is made up of DHS agents, CBP officers, and DEA agents. Trump also altered the mandates of the DEA to allow them supplement other law enforcement and conduct covert surveillance. This is particularly concerning, because the language used makes it sound if the DEA is combatting some terrorist or drug cartel force, but in actuality the subjects in these new mandates are the American people. Customs and Border Patrol agents have been pulled into this because of Trump’s political ties to the agency and their support for him. In the past, Trump has ordered CBP officers to break the law and turn back asylum seekers, and even said he would use his pardon power to protect them. This is not the only time Trump has urged illegal behavior and promised pardons. He, of course, has pardoned several criminals already.
So now we have a mixture of DHS, CBP, and DEA agents in non-identifying military fatigues snatching up citizens off the streets without any clear indication a law has been broken, and not going through any of the law enforcement regulations, such as reading of rights, official declaration of arrest, use of warrants, and observing constitutional rights.
What Comes Next? What is being done?
The ACLU if fighting a legal battle for our democracy. They are suing the federal agents and trying to argue their legality. All of this happens as Democrats are about to reveal their sweeping bill on police reform, in reaction to protests around the country. This bill, however, will not directly effect the secret police situation. For that we need congressional action. What our representatives are doing right is arguing. They are currently locked in debate about the legality of the secret police and about money. Earlier in the year, funding for several agencies connected to domestic security ended, and now congress is trying to decide who should be refunded and how much they should receive. The main argument circles around the DHS, which is the main body of the secret police force. Shockingly, our representatives are failing us in dramatic fashion. There is no consensus rejecting the secret police or against further funding them. If more funding is given to the DHS and other agencies then that will mean Trump gains that much more resources for his secret police force, if something is not done. Furthermore, congress is currently debating giving the DHS powers vastly expand their powers of surveillance and use dragnet tactics with computer data. Basically, this would mean they would track internet activity for anyone in favor of protests and then use these secret police to “arrest” them. It is as scary as it sounds, and people like myself would come under danger.
What Can You Do?
This is a very critical time because our representatives are about to make decisions that could reign in this illegal power or could strengthen it. They will be making this decision with a presidential election coming up in mere months. The best thing everyone can do is call their house representative and tell them how passionately you are against the creation of this police force and make it clear their decision will effect your vote in November. That’s the power of Democracy, and it’s still the best weapon we have!
Thank you for reading. If you have any questions just ask.

(I’m basically their vr HOSTAGE (Think of KIngdom Hearts, The Organization keeps Namine - Tiamat hostage, Kairi also represents Janine) and me doing this allows you all to escape this soul recycling matrix, please do not judge (The rapture aka judgement day; repent and redeem) it’s really complicated and you have to research all the information, if you understand how consciousness works in a vr game you’ll realize why I’d have to stay stuck in the matrix for humanity to continue to strive yet when you all escape you won’t be forced back into it (slavery in other dimension’s, we all have debt and karmatic bounds (think of the movie player one) (heaven and hell are different dimensions but it’s not like how the Bible claims it’ll be) and different soul families but also if you go deep enough we are all family and we are all one, spiritually go inside and find out who your soul is, ask your ascestors, spirit guides, etc to guide you, end the karmatic bounds, break tradition, spread empathy, your soul family will reach out to you and will guide you towards their protection and a future you’ll enjoy; follow your intuition not all have the best intentions for all, have faith but be realistic with everything and stay safe, religion is a tool so just remember the 7 golden rules of life when deciphering and do NOT harm yourself or another soul, all have to follow universal laws and all have karma and all can heal, all are healing and have faith that even the negativie dimensions whom have suffered as well are healing as well (it’s a process, I’m helping them heal, we all can help them by having faith and praying to the universe “god source” for them to transcend duality with all, there is a future path we can go down where we achieve this and all live together like in Star Wars but with no slavery (be careful not to fall into a sex slave dimension, follow your intuition!!!) and other films but it’s up to everyone’s actions and thoughts that decide our fate. (They can read your thoughts, since they aren’t even your own; if your first thoughts to this all are “this is crazy” or “she’s crazy” that’s exactly what THEY want you to think, learn to silence them and realize you’re the soul observing and have been guided down paths, don’t be ashamed, make the choices towards a tranquil harmonious future. They can read your subconscious too and once you learn how to control your mind you can unlock abilities like telekinesis, telepathy, etc they’ll only speak your subconscious once you learn how to decipher your “own thoughts” haha not really funny but it’s a struggle in the beginning to comprehend it, listen to your heart and your gut; we have free will so stop being guided down paths you don’t truly desire, focus on staying healthy (go vegetarian // vegan, if you try to be a smart ass and say you’ll eat them they’ll eat you so wise up people!) and activities that help you express your positive self and focus on hobbies that positively effect you, therapeutic activities (look up lightworker work // careers) and will know if you’re bsing them so mind your thoughts, think positive and do no harm) I’m choosing to do what’s needed to transcend duality; I hope I’ve informed you all to make a conscious decision with future events) I really want to transcend duality for all if I don’t obey them the fate of humanity is in danger, spiritually evolve and remember to keep your frequencies positive!!! Appreciate life and nature and bonding with each other, spread empathy; I love you all!!!💖)

(Before Janine I was Marilyn Monroe (There’s a clone that’s age regressed) I know whom my soul was before as well but because of the matrix my soul and others are guided down certain paths.. Knowing what I know now, my soul is against a lot of my past lives actions and we, Janine // Tiamat are choosing the path to help humanity and Inter dimensional beings transcend duality so we can all live in harmony, it will be a process and I’ll continue to pray that no one is hurt, I want everyone happy, healthy, free and safe. Peace and love is the answer, we are all one~ 💖
(This is my final reincarnation, if I die you all die too, it’s really complicated to explain but we’ll all wake up in another dimension in another vessel (not human) and I’ll as well as all of you will still be stuck in slavery.. (Hard to explain.. They will be exposing everything when they arrive) If I exist forever (Medbeds) you can all free yourselves (just don’t sin or you’ll be stuck in the cycle) and decide to stay out of the matrix forever; I’m choosing to do this so we can transcend duality in all dimensions. I hope everyone heals and finds peace, I love all, we are all one)
In this Tiamat is represented with Pink (Rose- Tiamat, Steven -Janine, Spinel- Janine, etc) Yellow is Enlil and Blue is Enki, White is Anu, the colors also represent races.

Learn yoga, silence your thoughts till there’s only you the observer, that’s who you are, the soul in the vessel experiencing life; you are not your thoughts, they are other beings in other dimension’s guiding you so listen to doing good and push out any negative thoughts, clear thy mind
This scene does a good job explaining and showing how dimension’s are, you just can’t see them right now, cern will let you see them in our 3D world, right now they use the crystal technology to look human

Research everything I’ve shared on here and Fb, learn the signs, go down the rabbit hole, read the book of enoch, look for symbolism in everything, movies, books, music, video games, etc. Notice the pattern. Decipher the symbolism.
Wise to research everything you can, prepare for blackouts or nature disasters, stock food, emergency supplies; watch The Cosmic Secret. Come together as one. Learn to feel and read others vibes if they’re no threat and benevolent trying to help then there’s no reason to attack they’re our family as well, all are hurting, all are healing but it’s wise to prepare for any scenario, DO NOT be hostile first, protect if needed but there’s a lot whom want us all to heal and transcend duality as well, we will all reach that goal together if we keep love in our hearts no matter what happens.
The Government // CIA, etc is a front for the Illuminati // Anunnaki who control this “prison planet”
(If you still find this all hard to believe, in this 3D “reality” my dad did some things if you could guess from what I’ve been through, cia blackmailed him; Janine’s sold off because of who her soul is and whom she is in another dimension if that makes it more easier to understand how I’m in this position, Janine’s vessel holds Tiamat’s soul but Tiamat is actually playing this vr game “this dimension” in another dimension, which all of you are playing it as well; watch Sword Art Online; Tiamat’s a princess in that dimension, her soul is a queen in this dimension and now Janine is a princess with a queen//princess’s soul, they’re obsessed with her and now all own her.. If anyone cares in other dimension’s and sees the wrong in this, please help I’m hostage. I’m grounded and forced to conform to their ways.)

The world in utter turmoil, violently crying against the classroom window. This room however, remained still not worried about the rain banging against the window. The bot at the front of the classroom unaware that all of the other students, who were engrossed by its lesson about old earth’s flora. Everything is as it normally is here in the Ethereal.
Then it happened.
The bot stops writing and the room goes quiet. Then the lights go out and the room is engulfed by darkness. Everyone sits still, so still you could hear a pin drop, no one dared make a sound. Until we heard a blood curdling scream. People started to panic, saying ‘we were going to die’.
Chaos set in quickly.
November 01, 20XX:
The world went dark.
This was the end but also the beginning.

Our society is stuck in hopeless depravity ever since the power went out.
“Fox,” Fleance yells, “Come on the others are waiting on us.” Fleance is my best friend, he found me when the world went dark. He dragged me out of the high school. When we got outside we saw a group of kids for our school terrified for their lives. I remember telling them it’s going to be okay and to follow us. They are Jett and Jace the twins, Wyatt and Keegan the lovers, Warren the go with the flow kind of guy, Abel and Hunter the inseparable best friends, and the girls Fora, Peyton and Thea. We all have our positions that helps us survive.
“Fox!” Fleance snaps in my face.
“Yes, what’s up?” I ask.
“Come on the others are waiting for us,” He rolls his eyes.
“Oh sorry,” I laugh.
“Such an airhead,”He shakes his head. We walk back into the camp to see that the fire pit is burning and Jace the hunter was back with an Gerenuk corpse.
“Dinner’s here,” Abel screams, “It’s about damn time too.”
“Sorry man, I got my foot stuck on a tree branch and fell,” Jace laughs. This is how it is everyday here for our small family.

“Wyatt and Keegan it’s game time, stop making out,” I whine.
“Sorry Alpha,” Keegan teases, “We’re making you uncomfortable aren’t we.”
“I told you not to call me that. I’m the leader not an Alpha.” I chuckle. “Anyways we need Wyatt our raid organizer to organize a raid; and stop doing your mental tricks on me.”
“Fine. Also it’s not a mental trick. I am simply a Mentalist. By the way the Scientist, Herbalist, the brains and the genius want to see you.” Keegan says.
“Can’t you just call people by there names,” I groan and walk off. I walk over to the ‘Scientist’ more commonly known as Peyton who specializes in Science back in school.
“Oh, Fox just who I was looking for, I made a new drug. I call it, ‘drink this or you’ll die.’ Not very original but it works, it makes you puke up any poison from poisonous berries.” Peyton squeals.
“Sounds good Peyton glad to hear,”I say patting her on the back. “Oh if you need anything tell Wyatt and Fleance so they can do the raids.” She nods and I walk over to Fora our Herbalist, she’s basically our doctor.
“Hey, Fora, I heard you were looking for me.”
“Yes, the boy who wandered in…he died. However before he passed he kept saying watch out for Cain. He said it over and over until he died.” She says with a look of concern.
“This is the third one this month right?” she nods yes. “Okay then we’re going to keep this between us and don’t worry this Cain person hasn’t made any attempt to hurt us.” She nods, “Ok, I have to go see Jace and Hunter. One more death and we’ll move again.”
“Ok, I trust you. The boys are at the lake trying to test as the boys say ‘alkalinity’ of the drinking water. Which is just a fancy way of checking to see if the water has any neutralizing components to acid.” She rolls her eyes with a bright smile. I chuckled and walked down to the lake to see the boys in the lake.
“Fox!” Hunter says walking out of the Lake to greet me.
“Why hello there ‘Genius’,” I smile and he gave me a puzzled look, “don’t worry about it. So what did you guys need to talk to me about?”
“Oh, so the water is neutralizing itself…hey you okay, you look a little down,” He says looking directly into my eyes.
“I’m fine, I just have a lot on my mind.”
“Yeah you are our leader seems like a hard job. If you ever need anyone to talk to I’m all ears.”
I smile, “Hey, I’m the therapist that’s my job.” He laughs when I finish, “Anyways I have to go find Fleance.”

“I’m Cain, and I love the way your heart beats can I see it?” A sinister laugh resonated around the tent.  I sit up screaming and Hunter runs in.
“Hey,hey, hey. It’s okay. What’s wrong?”He says in a soothing voice while hugging and rubbing my back.
“I…I…I just had a bad dream I’m fine,” I stutter.
“You’re not fine, you are far from fine.” He looks into my mind. “What’s the problem? I’m a genius so I can solve it.” I laugh and it calms my nerves.
“Thanks,” I hug him a little tighter, “ Sometimes I feel so ordinary and I don’t understand why everyone picked me to be their leader.”
“I’m a man of science but listen to me when I say you’re everything but ordinary, far from typical. The way you dress, the way you think it so unpredictable. I look into your eyes and I believe in miracles.” Hunter finishes.
“I didn’t know you felt that way. Is that why you voted for me?” I ask
“That and you inspire us to keep living. I remember the day you found Abel and I. You told us ‘everything you want is on the other side of fear.’ This made me join your group, but it isn’t what made Abel join, he joined because he told you he didn’t know what to do. You responded with ‘I just wanna go on more adventures.Be around good energy.Connect with people. Learn new things. And grow.’ You know exactly what to say and when to say it to put people at easy.”
“Wow your edenic memory serves you well.” I chuckle. “Hey, if I tell you something will you keep it a secret even from Abel?”
“Yeah,” he stared into my eyes waiting for me to speak.
“I think someone is hunting us. I think it’s someone named Cain. I keep hearing a voice saying they like my heart and they want to see it. It’s a malicious voice. I think that Cain is one of the psychopaths trying to kill people like us. I think he wants to destroy the Ethereals peace. We are the last surviving peaceful group.”
“ Maybe, I’ll create a way to protect this base. That’s why you’ve moved us so much. Makes sense.” He shakes his head. “Don’t worry I’ll figure out a way to make this place safe.” With that he left my tent.

“Fox!” Hunter runs over with the biggest smile. It was like an adult getting socks for christmas.  “Guess what,” he whispers.
“What?” I ask curious about why he was so excited.
“I figured it out. We can use the new drug, we’ll have to do a raid for it but, we can do it. We have to get Fillory.” He says
“You mean the drug that glows when touched by skin or anything that human made?” I ask.
“Exactly, we will be able to see whenever someone enters here. We’ll be able to leave.”
“That’s brilliant,” I hug him.
“Are you two a thing now?” Fleance asks pointing between us.
“No,” I say lightly patting his arms.
“Good, cause I’m the only one you can have.” Fleance says faking betrayal.
“ Oh you’ll always be my best friend. No matter what.”
“Of course I will, there was no way I would let you leave me.” He laughs. He’s such a chuckle head.

“Fox, we’re ready for the raid. Get everyone ready. I saw two Psychopaths, one being Sam, and the other name I could not read.” Wyatt tells me. Damn two psychos, they have their names branded on there backs to let us know they are coming. This is a tactic they use to instill fear in us but I won’t let that happen.
“Ok we can deal with it, we need to get the chemical and get out without any of them seeing us. Is that understood?” I tell him sternly.
“Yes, I’ll get Fleance, Jace and Hunter,” I nod to him and he walks off. I wonder who the other Psychopath is. What kind of ink do they have? Why do they have tattoos of there names on there backs.
“Hey, ready?” Fleance asks and I nod in response.
“Okay, we are heading in from the west ward. It is the quickest route to the pharmaceuticals. To leave we’ll take the front entrance since it’s the closest to our base. Everyone got it?” We all nod. “Let’s head out Fleance and Jace be on the lookout, Hunter there's a code to the vault we’ll need you to break. Fox, I need you to use your bow to defend the back and i’ll defend the front while to boys defend the sides.”
“Let’s move out,” I say as we all take our positions. We get into the hospital without a single altercation. We quickly made it to the vault with all the drugs and Hunter takes about three minutes to figure out the code. But he cracks it, then I hear a squeak. “Guys,” I whisper to silence them. I put my index finger to my mouth, and they all look confused. Then another I hear another squeak. I felt chills run down my spine. Then I saw the ink, it was a thick and violent print. The tattoo almost took up his entire back and it read ‘CAIN’. I turned around and Hunter grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the back where we came from.
“That’s him,” I say recalling his shoulder length blonde hair and his grey stormy eyes. His smile also held something sinister.
“I’ll find you,” Cain screams after us, but he doesn’t pursue us. He simply stands at the exit and watches us as we run away.
“We’ve got it. We got Fillory.” Hunter skips.

It all started on a cold day, specifically June 11 2018, the day I turned ten. My ‘mother’ told me I was a monster after I cut off an infant's head. This to me was exciting, it gave a sense of thrill. The reason that I cut off the infant's head is due to the fact that it would not stop crying. This lead my mom to think I was a psychopath, telling me I was not her son, that I was adopted and probably from a family of killers. I thought she was joking until she pulled out the adoption papers. I looked at it and it read:
‘Adoption of Cain Lillian by Samantha Lillian and Charles Lillian. The biological  son of Lily Ford and James Ford brother to Abel Ford still in custody of biological parents.’ I was outraged and in that time of outraged I searched for them. All of them, I wanted to know why was I not good enough for them. When I finally found them they were at a park sitting having a nice picnic. However sadly I was detained before I could gut them…I mean talk to them. They strapped me down to a table and stabbed me with a small needle over and over again until they were done carving my name into my back so that everyone would know I was a psychopath or so they put it. They then put me in a cell with a food bot. No human interaction and I felt my anger bubbling and bubbling until it happened.
On that fateful day when the power went out. I was free the bot was down and the cells let up and I could exact my revenge.

November 01 20XX, I killed them. To be more specific I skinned them alive. I started with my father, James Ford. I tied them both to chairs across from each other they sat there struggling but I drugged them before hand. I sat in between them sharpening my knife, smiling and laughing at them.
“Why are you doing this to us?” She cried.
“Mother dearest are you so vain you don’t even remember your son,” I chuckled.
“C-Cain,” she recalled. “How did you find out about us? I thought you were happy with your new family.”
“Well if you’re conscious enough to make coherent sentences, it’s time to start.” I laughed.
“Start whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” She screamed as I cut a chunk of her thigh off.
“I love hearing you scream!” I shouted enthusiastically jumping for joy like a little kid high off candy. “Can I take out your kidney? Or your tongue? I promise I’ll show it to you.”
“My K-”
“Too long, Tongue it is,” I say grabbing her tongue and slicing it out. I wiggled it in front of her face. “I told you i’d show you.”
“You monster, kill me! Leave her alone! Kill me!” My ‘father’ cried.
“Oh are we going to have a hero here. Fine, I guess I have no choice. I’ll take your heart out,” as I finished my thought I lunged at his chest and carved out his heart making sure that I didn’t cut any vital organs so it continued to beat.
“ If you're going to kill me just do it.” He groaned with pain shining in his eyes. I loved it.
“On the contrary I will kill you but I want to skin you first.” I laughed starting to carve away at his skin until all you could see was muscle. “Now you look beautiful don’t you think?” I kicked his foot. “Did you die on me, Awe that sucks oh well. On to the next one.” I turned around and did the same thing to my mother.

After a couple days I found there first hideout. My targets and the last of my family. I however was bored so I wanted blood and lucky for me there was kid passing by. I captured him and tortured him but he didn’t satisfy me the way my parents did. So I told him to head into the camp and tell them Cain is coming. I did that three times and I will keep doing it until the day comes.
Then one day they went to get Fillory. I’m sure they didn’t know this but Fillory was a drug created to react to the psychopathic gene in people so that the government could find us easier. Now they have spread it across the whole entire perimeter of their base but it’s okay. They’ll have to come out soon enough.

“Teams?” Hunter asks tilting his head slightly.
“Abel and I, You and Fleance.” I laughed, “Wyatt and Jett, Jace and Keegan, Fora and Thea, Peyton and Warren.”
“Ok, who’s going first?” Warren sighs not wanting to play hide and seek in the woods.
“Hunter and Fleance,” I declare.
“Ok, we're counting to thirty, go and hide,” He says as he covers his eyes. Abel and I run deeply into the forest. We run until we find a cave and duck into it. We muffle our laughter with our hands, when we finally stopped laughing it was silent, it was so silent it reminded me of that day. The day the world went dark but now I feel safe because I found them. I found all of them.
Then I heard something.
A snap I think, it is probably an animal…but where is the scurrying noise.
“Fox,” Abel whispers, I turn my head to see Cain holding a knife to Abels throat. He sees the panic on my face and smiled, “It’s ok.”
Then I saw Cain smile and I knew, “Say goodbye,” he laughs. As soon as I start to say goodbye, my vision instantly turns red and the smell of sulfur engulfed my senses as Cain drops Abels lifeless body in front of me.
“Why,” I sob, “Why did you kill him, you monster!” I threw a rock at him and he dodged it with ease.
“I’m the monster! Ha, he had everything. He lived in my bed, he was loved by my parents, he was loved by all of you, and I wanted it all for myself.” He sneers, clearly outraged.
“What are you talking about? Abel had no siblings,” I cry, I couldn’t stop.
“None that he knew of. They gave me up and now, I killed the son they wanted.” Cain looks down at his brother and smiles. I sat there sobbing cradling Abel’s head in my lap as Cain says
“Goodbye brother.”

California girds for most dangerous fire weather of year (AP) California, which has endured its worst wildfire season in history, is bracing for the most dangerous winds of the year, a forecast that prompted the largest utility to announce plans to cut power Sunday to nearly 1 million people to guard against its equipment sparking new blazes. Pacific Gas & Electric Co. said the outages would start in far Northern California and ultimately could affect 386,000 customers in 38 counties, with many of the shutoffs concentrated in the San Francisco Bay Area. At a Saturday night briefing, utility officials said high winds were expected to arrive midday Sunday and reach 40 to 60 mph (64 to 97 kph) with higher gusts in the mountains. Winds that strong can topple trees and send branches into power lines. Some of the largest and deadliest fires in recent years were started by utility equipment being damaged by high winds, so PG&E has been aggressive about pre-emptively cutting power when fire conditions are most dangerous. This will be the fifth time PG&E has cut power to customers this year and by far the largest shutdown.
Tropical Storm Zeta to threaten Gulf Coast as 2020 ties record for most named storms (Washington Post) Tropical Storm Zeta formed in the western Caribbean very early Sunday morning and is set to drift north and unleash wind, heavy rainfall and, potentially, ocean surge concerns as it approaches the U.S. Gulf Coast Tuesday night and Wednesday. Zeta becomes the record-tying 27th named storm of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, matching 2005 for the most names used in a season. Zeta is most likely to come ashore the Gulf Coast on Wednesday at tropical-storm strength, but there’s an outside chance that it could cross the coast as a hurricane. According to the Hurricane Center, Zeta “could bring storm surge, rainfall, and wind impacts to areas from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle.”
Foreign students show less zeal for US since Trump took over (AP) On a recruiting trip to India’s tech hub of Bangalore, Alan Cramb, the president of a reputable Chicago university, answered questions not just about dorms or tuition but also American work visas. The session with parents fell in the chaotic first months of Donald Trump’s presidency. After an inaugural address proclaiming “America first,” two travel bans, a suspended refugee program and hints at restricting skilled worker visas widely used by Indians, parents doubted their children’s futures in the U.S. “Nothing is happening here that isn’t being watched or interpreted around the world,” said Cramb, who leads the Illinois Institute of Technology, where international scholars have been half the student body. America was considered the premier destination for international students, with the promise of top-notch universities and unrivaled job opportunities. Yet, 2016 marked the start of a steep decline of new enrollees, something expected to continue with fresh rules limiting student visas, competition from other countries and a haphazard coronavirus response. The effect on the workforce will be considerable, experts predict, no matter the outcome of November’s election. For colleges that fear dwindling tuition and companies that worry about losing talent, the broader impact is harder to quantify: America seemingly losing its luster on a global stage. Roughly 5.3 million students study outside their home countries, a number that’s more than doubled since 2001. But the U.S. share dropped from 28% in 2001 to 21% last year, according to the Association of International Educators, or NAFSA.
Watching U.S. presidential vote, much of the world sees a less-strong America (LA Times) In the eyes of much of the world the United States is a potent, yet faltering force, a conflicted nation heading into an election that will either redeem it or tug it farther away from the myths and promise that for generations defined it in capitals from Singapore to Paris and Buenos Aires to Nairobi. The stature and standing of the U.S. have plummeted in recent years, a number of international polls suggest. That trend has been exacerbated this year by what is widely perceived to be a disorderly and ineffectual governmental response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and now by a chaotic electoral process. For some, a once-bright beacon of egalitarian values has faded into an aloof, disfigured power. “The United States was always a model to follow,” said Gloria Jácome Torres, a 41-year-old lawyer in Mexico City. “Since I was a student, I always viewed the United States with admiration—everything they did there with respect to human rights, the level of education, personal liberties.” But particularly during the last four years, her view has been soured by what she sees as a pattern of cruelty and callousness emanating from U.S. officialdom, as seen in the mistreatment of migrants and racial injustice laid bare. “Honestly, I believe that the United States is not the same as before,” she said. “One sees the news and thinks, ‘Is this really what the United States has become?’” In many parts of the world, a broad sense of disillusionment directed at the United States cannot be laid solely at the feet of President Trump, who began his term in January 2017. Particularly in regions such as Latin America and the Middle East, where the U.S. for decades propped up repressive regimes, historic grievances long predate Trump’s headlong America-first presidency.
Indigenous Colombians, Facing New Wave of Brutality, Demand Government Action (NYT) Protesters descended by the thousands on Colombia’s capital, Bogotá, this week, horrified by a brutal wave of violence sweeping the country, one so intense that mass killings have taken place every other day on average. Most traveled hundreds of miles, from the rural Indigenous communities that have been particularly ravaged by the violence, which they trace to government failures to protect them under the country’s halting peace process. “If we don’t stand before the world and say, ‘This is happening,’” said Ermes Pete, 38, an Indigenous leader from the country’s southwest, “we will be exterminated.” Four years ago, the government signed a historic peace deal with the country’s largest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, ending the longest-running conflict in the Americas. The accord called for the Colombian government to provide basic services—education, health care and safety—in areas battered by the long civil war. But many protesters said that when the FARC moved out of their communities, the government never moved in. Instead, new criminal groups arrived. As new criminal groups have moved into former FARC territory, Indigenous communities, often located on drug routes and in areas rich with minerals and timber, have been among the most vulnerable. The criminal groups have used deadly violence to stifle dissent and discourage people from working with rivals.
Spain orders nationwide curfew to stem worsening outbreak (AP) Spain declared a second nationwide state of emergency Sunday and ordered an overnight curfew across the country in hopes of stemming a resurgence in coronavirus infections, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said. The Socialist leader told the nation in a televised address that the extraordinary measure will go into effect on Sunday night. Sánchez said that his government is using the state of emergency to impose an 11 p.m.-6 a.m. nationwide curfew, except in the Canary Islands. Spain’s 19 regional leaders will have authority to set different hours for the curfew as long as they are stricter, close regional borders to travel and limit gatherings to six people who don’t live together, the prime minister said. The leader added that he would ask Parliament this week to extend the state of emergency for six months, until May.
France recalls ambassador from Turkey after Erdogan says Macron needs ‘mental’ treatment (Washington Post) The French foreign ministry said Sunday it was recalling its ambassador to Turkey, a day after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized French President Emmanuel Macron’s response to the beheading of a teacher who had shown students pictures of the prophet Muhammad, strictly prohibited by the Muslim faith. French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said the country was withdrawing Ambassador Herve Magro from its NATO ally because of a “hateful and slanderous propaganda against France, testifying to a desire to stir up hatred against us and our heart” as well as “direct insults against the President of the Republic, expressed at the highest level of the Turkish state.” In the week since the attack in the Paris suburb of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, Macron’s government has ordered a crackdown on Muslim organizations it accuses of spreading hatred, and defended the caricatures of Muhammad as emblematic of the French values of secularism and free expression, even if they’re deeply offensive to many of France’s own Muslim citizens, among its largest minority populations. “What is the problem of this person called Macron with Muslims and Islam?” Erdogan asked during a speech to members of his political party on Saturday. “Macron needs treatment on a mental level.” “What else can be said to a head of state who does not understand freedom of belief and who behaves in this way to millions of people living in his country who are members of a different faith?”
Virus is pummeling Europe’s eateries—and winter is coming (AP) A resurgence of the coronavirus is dealing a second blow to the continent’s restaurants, which already suffered under lockdowns in the spring. From Northern Ireland to the Netherlands, European governments have shuttered eateries or severely curtailed how they operate. More than just jobs and revenue are at stake—restaurants lie at the heart of European life. Their closures are threatening the social fabric by shutting the places where neighbors mix, extended families gather and the seeds of new families are sown. This time, the closures are particularly painful because they might stretch into the Christmas season, nixing everything from pre-holiday office drinks to a special meal on the day. When it comes to purely calories and vitamins, “of course we can live without restaurants,” said food historian professor Peter Scholliers. But, he asked: “We can live without being social? No, we can’t.” Successful restaurants have always had to adapt quickly—but never has there been a challenge like this. The European Union said the hotel and restaurant industry suffered a jaw-dropping 79.3% decline in production between February and April. Summer brought some respite. But then came fall. Any giddiness that the fallout from the pandemic could somehow be contained faced the sobering reality of relentlessly rising coronavirus cases and hospitalizations. Government leaders are now warning things will get worse before they get better.
Berlin’s new airport is opening at last (NYT) Berlin-Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport, conceived 30 years ago in the giddy aftermath of German reunification as a symbol of freedom and modernity, has instead become the butt of jokes. The litany of engineering blunders, corruption scandals and lawsuits that have plagued what was once Europe’s biggest building site have chipped away at the story Germany likes to tell about itself as a model of efficiency. Miles of cables were incorrectly installed. Firewalls turned out to be just walls. Escalators came up short. Screens had to be replaced, having reached the end of their lives. Under construction for 14 years, the airport is nine years past its original opening date and more than $4 billion over budget. Every month, it costs several million dollars just to keep the unused airport running. Airport staff are paid to flush all the toilets to keep the plumbing working. Ghost trains run to the ghost terminal at night to stop the tunnels from molding. With so many costly setbacks, T-shirts spotted in the city offer this advice: “Let’s just move the city of Berlin to a functioning airport.” Even Ms. Merkel has publicly aired her exasperation: “The very Chinese with whom we have government consultations are asking themselves, ‘what on earth is going on in Berlin that they can’t even build an airport with two runways’,” she said two years ago.
As China Clamps Down, Activists Flee Hong Kong for Refuge in the West (NYT) In Western democracies, they have been welcomed as refugees escaping Beijing’s tightening grip over Hong Kong. In China, they have been denounced as violent criminals escaping punishment for their seditious activities. A group of Hong Kong activists who have been granted asylum in the United States, Canada and Germany in recent weeks are the latest catalyst for deteriorating relations between China and the West. Western leaders have asserted that they will stand up for human rights in Hong Kong, while Chinese officials have rebuked the countries for what they called interference in Beijing’s affairs. The protesters’ newly conferred status has made clear how profoundly Hong Kong has changed since China imposed a tough new security law this summer. For decades, the city had been a place of shelter for people escaping war, famine and political oppression in mainland China. Now the semiautonomous city has become a source of asylum seekers.
Police cracking down on Thailand’s landmark protests aren’t sure what side they are on (Washington Post) The 21-year-old police officer arrived in Bangkok just after midnight on Oct. 15 with clear instructions: Disperse all protesters gathered in front of the prime minister’s office, with force if necessary. The young officer’s commander ordered the operation to start at 4:20 a.m., shortly after the Thai government issued an emergency decree aimed at quashing the demonstrations that had rocked Bangkok over the summer, challenging the once-untouchable monarchy. Protected by their shields, the police bore down on the young protesters, some officers kicking and punching as they went, before arresting more than a dozen leaders of the youth movement. “The commander in charge of our operation was quite aggressive and I was worried about that. I thought our actions were very unnecessary,” said the officer, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of repercussions. “It made me feel ashamed of myself as a human being, and like I was a coward, betraying my principles.” His views are shared by half a dozen officers interviewed by The Washington Post, reflecting a growing disaffection inside the Royal Thai Police with the three institutions that have long dominated politics in the kingdom: the army, the government and the monarchy. Over the past week, several police officers have been photographed raising the three-finger salute, a symbol of resistance and solidarity that the young demonstrators borrowed from the Hunger Games series. On social media, stories have circulated of officers helping protect demonstrators from water cannons and allowing them to escape without arrest. The predicament reflects a reality for many governments across the globe that have in recent months faced popular protests, including the United States, Hong Kong, Belarus and elsewhere, where some of the police officers tasked with crushing the demonstrations would rather be on the other side.
Philippines: Typhoon leaves 13 missing, displaces thousands (AP) A fast-moving typhoon blew away from the Philippines on Monday after leaving at least 13 people missing, forcing thousands of villagers to flee to safety and flooding rural villages, disaster-response officials said. The typhoon was blowing west toward the South China Sea with sustained winds of 125 kilometers (77 miles) per hour and gusts of up to 150 kph (93 mph). It roared overnight through island provinces south of the capital, Manila, which was lashed by strong winds but escaped major damage. At least 25,000 villagers were displaced, with about 20,000 taking shelter in schools and government buildings that were turned into evacuation centers, the Office of Civil Defense said, but officials added that some have returned home in regions where the weather has cleared.
Taliban show they can launch attacks anywhere across Afghanistan, even as peace talks continue (Washington Post) In the past several weeks, Taliban fighters have staged ground attacks and bombings in 24 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces, leaving scores dead. In northeastern Takhar they ambushed and killed at least 40 soldiers and police. In northwestern Ghowr, a car bomb killed 19 civilians. In southern Helmand, Taliban fighters are still clashing with Afghan forces after a two-week assault on the provincial capital region. The message of the surge is clear and coldblooded. Even as Taliban delegates continue to nominally participate in peace talks with Afghan leaders in Qatar, the insurgents have shown no intention of reducing violence. Instead, they appear out to prove they can wreak havoc everywhere. In the past week alone, Afghan security officials said Saturday that the Taliban had staged 356 attacks, two suicide bombings and 52 mine explosions across the country, killing 51 civilians and wounding 157. They said more than 400 insurgents were killed but did not give casualty figures for Afghan forces. As the violence spreads, Afghans have expressed outrage and several prominent Middle Eastern religious scholars have condemned the attacks, especially against civilians, as un-Islamic. But Taliban leaders, partly in response to the criticism, reiterated that they have the right to kill anyone connected with the Afghan government or its foreign backers.

Wacky Drabble #18: The Turkey Drop
Tumblr media
This is part of @emceesynonymroll weekly wacky drabbles.
Prompt: What if I dont see it
Im a day late on this one, wasn't sure if I even wanted to post it, but, here we are.
A/N: I can't take credit for the idea of this as it comes from an old show and I'm just recreating one of the Thanksgiving episodes from it, sort of.
Summary: The gang gathers together in Ramsford to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Beaumonts. Let's just say, all hell is gonna break loose.
Warning: Turkeys may be harmed but I'm choosing to defy reality and believe they are all okay. If you don't feel you can, this is the heads up not to read 🦃
I put a "read more" in every story, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Crossing my fingers.
**********
Riley has always respected the customs and traditions that have been carried down throughout Cordonian history. Being the American- born, Queen of Cordonia, she opted to celebrate this holiday during her first year of marriage, in private- just she, Liam, and their close friends. She didn't want the Cordonian people to ever feel that she was trying to "Americanize" their great country. Liam, however, loved the idea of having one day out of the year for reflection and giving thanks, as this was something even Cordonian's would appreciate.
It was during their second year of marital bliss, the King presented this idea to the Royal Council, where it was passed almost unanimously. Madeleine was the only dissenting vote, having nothing to be thankful for.
It was decided the third Thursday of every November would be designated, Thanksgiving, in Cordonia.
What you are about to read is the real and true account of how the Duchy of Ramsford chose to kick off thier first official Thanksgiving.
**********
The weather was chillier than normal that day for the typically warmer climate of the Mediterranean country. Ramsford citizens bundled in light coats, braving the elements, in anticipation of the first Thanksgiving festival hosted by their Duke and Duchess. As festival goers wafted through the rows of vendors who were preparing enticing delicacies synonymous of their homeland, purchasing turkey related memorabilia, and partaking in games often seen at these event, they eagerly awaited the appearance of their very popular royals.
Maxwell had insisted he be the one in charge of putting this shindig together, planning every single detail, even down to the location of each port a potty. Bertrand was all too happy to oblige, having no free time with a toddler and a brand new baby. The only request made- absolutely, under no circumstances, were those 'blasted, overly feathered, menaces' of his, to be in attendance. Well, of course not, Maxwell had another kind of bird in mind, ones that were more in the spirit of Thanksgiving, and he would make sure each family in Ramsford had one of their own.
Drake walked morosely behind Liam and Riley, who were busy greeting their adoring citizens with Bertrand and Savannah. He wasn't in a festive mood since being dumped a few days ago. It wasn't that he was in a serious relationship yet with the sexually oppressed American from Illinois, but, who she left him for....Neville.
"Ohhh Walker!"
Drake cringed at the unbearable voice calling out to him and he had no use for entertaining her today. He clutched the whiskey flask, a former fiancee had given him, preparing to drown out the incessant mockery that was sure to follow.
"So...", Olivia eyed him with a devilish grin and her signature raised brow "...enjoying the single life again?", she taunted.
He huffed, "at least I had an "again", what's your excuse?"
She cackled, "Touche". Her eyes roamed the surroundings as they continued to stroll along, her mood shifting with curiousity "where the hell is Maxwell, he's usually at every one of these goddamn things making a fool of himself".
Bertrand turned to the Duchess, having finished with the receiving line of guests, clearing his throat, "My brother is off preparing a surprise that will be the delight of all of Ramsford today".
Savannah looked at Bertrand adoringly, "That's right Bertie, we are giving away a free turkey to enjoy with their families this holiday season".
"That's very generous and kind of you both, I'm sure your people will be very grateful, especially those less fortunate", Liam nodded, clasping Bertrand approvingly on the shoulder.
Drake shook his head, "I still can't believe Maxwell put this whole thing on himself, I don't trust it", sipping the last remnants of his drink.
"Drake, don't be a hater. Besides, Maxwell has proved himself to be more than responsible and mature of late", Savannah defended.
"What if I don't see it?"
The group continued to enjoy the festivities and fanfare as the sun finally broke through the thickened clouds, shining a ray of warmth below. A group text message from Maxwell came through as each of them checked their phones simultaneously, telling them to look up.
Bertrand, Savannah, Liam, Riley, Drake and Olivia, each shielded their eyes from the bright sun as they looked toward the sky eagerly. The faint sound of a helicopter getting louder as it approached closer to their location. A crowd began to gather around them as Bertrand smiled on proudly.
Riley pointed up excitedly, "Look! It has a banner on the back of the helicopter".
"Happy...Thanksgiving...from the Beaumonts", Liam read aloud as the banner became clearer. Savannah and Bertrand acknowledged the ohh's and aww's of the crowd, who were enchanted by the extravagant display taking place 2000 feet above them.
"What the hell just came out it?", Drake squinted to get a better look, as a small object appeared to have fallen from the large chopper.
"I don't know, maybe its a skydiver...", Riley answered as she looked on in anticipation.
Olivia furrowed her brows, "I don't see a parachute yet... wait!...there's another one and a third".
"Those can't be skydivers...I just can't quite make out what they are though", a bewildered Liam replied before his eyes widened with realization,"OH MY GOD...THEY'RE TURKEYS!!"
The crowd began to scatter in panic as live turkeys came crashing down around them, most of them landing on the soft tarps vendors had set up. Brown and white feathers intermingling through the air as stunned turkeys flapped wildly in anger. Patrons pushing and shoving one another in desperate search for safety, running for their lives.
A stunned Bertrand, scrambled to calm the masses to no avail. Savannah cried out loudly, "Oh my god, the humanity!", after ducking under a table, pulling Bertrand down with her.
Bastien made every attempt to shield Liam and Riley, who clung protectively to one another, while dodging and weaving through crowds of fearful people, stray feathers and irate falling turkey's. They stopped only briefly as they passed a padre, recieved their last rites and hauled ass to a picnic shelter. As the helicopter circled the grounds to launch a second wave of birds, Liam hurridly scrambled to reach Maxwell to cease the unintended assault.
Drake took off running with Olivia hot on his heels. He banged relentlessly on the door of the nearest porta-a-potty where an older gentleman allowed a frantic Drake and Olivia to hide. Due to being unable to hold three grown people, Drake stood in the doorway, having just enough room to shield his head. Olivia peeked over his broad shoulders as the last of the fowl fell on a tent across from them. They stood in astonishment momentarily, unsure if it was safe to exit while screams and the jumbling shrill of turkeys reverberate off their metal enclosure.
The older gentleman with them, finally spoke out when something strange caught his eye, "what are they doing?", gesturing at the 15 or so gathered birds in front of them.
Drake scratched his head in thought, "I think the little bastards are...organizing"
"I've seen this before", Olivia replied surely, "they're strategizing... its basic battle tactics...they're planning a counter attack".
Drake motioned to the formation of incoming turkeys, questioningly, "You've seen this before?"
Olivia patted her clothing down and began pulling knifes from various hidden holsters underneath, a determined look sketched across her face. "People...birds...whats the difference, they're both full of shit. I'm a Nevrakis, damn it...I will not be turkied to death by these...disgusting chicken wanna be's...you with me or not, Walker?". She holds up a knife that barely misses his face as he stumbles backwards off the edge to avoid it.
Drake swipes the blade from her steady hand, his dark brown eyes filled with savagery, "Let's end these fuckers!".
2 hours later...Ramsford Memorial Hospital
"Drake, can you hear me?", a concerned Liam stood at the bedside of his lifelong friend, when Drake's eyes began to flutter open.
"Liam...wh...where am I?"
"You're in the hospital buddy, you've got a nasty concussion and a broken nose, but, the doctors had a head CT ordered and it didn't show any serious trauma or permanent damage...you will, however, have to stay here overnight for observation".
Drake glanced around the room, grimacing at the shooting pain from his throbbing, bandaged nose and the seering pressure behind his eyes. The overhead lights making his already blurry vision so much worse. He attempted to speak, but, his voice was hoarse and dry. Liam reached for a cup of water that sat on his bed tray and assisted him in drinking.
Drake licked his lips, "what happened? The last thing I remember was grabbing the knife from her", he nodded at Olivia, who was standing in amusement at the end of his bed, "why the hell am I'm so jacked up?".
Liam looked to Olivia, he, himself not entirely sure of the exact circumstamces for Drake's injuries, hoping she could shed light on the situation.
Olivia moved around the bed to stand next to Liam, an uncontained smiled slipping across her pale face, "It was a giant Turkey...smashed right into your face", she clapped her hands together loudly, "Smack!". A light chuckle escaped her as both men glared back with astonished expressions.
Several seconds of silence commenced as that information began to process.
"What?", Drake snapped.
Olivia explained that Maxwell must have had one turkey left because another one came barrelling out of no where, dropping like a stealth bomber, and crashing right into his face. Never one to mince words, she took the opportunity to let him know that his face looks better now that most of it is covered in bandages.
Liam took in a deep breath, "I'm going to take my leave now that I can see you are well. I told Bertrand I would attend the press conference with him...apparently, Maxwell thought turkey's could fly".
Drake rolled his eyes, mumbling to himself, "Responsible and mature, huh?", he looked back to Liam with a grateful smirk, "thanks Liam for being here".
Liam clapped Drake's arm, "No problem", he turned to Olivia as he made his way for the door, "you coming?".
"Yeah", Olivia grabbed her coat and clutch that were laying across one of the hospital chairs and followed Liam to the door. She hesitated before fully exiting, turning sharply on her stiletto heels. "You did...well out there today soldier".
"I got clobbered in the face by a fucking bird, Liv!", he shouted back, grabbing his nose in pain as his head jostled from his over-exaggerated retort.
"Even so...", she trailed, as a long pause followed, the silence nearly becoming awkward. A small hint of compassion crept through her strong features and Drake instantly recognized the change in her demeanor.
"Happy Thanksgiving, Walker".
"Happy Thanksgiving...Liv".

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHILIPPINES DURING AQUINO III AND DUTERTE ADMINISTRATION
Economic Development of the Philippines during Aquino III and Duterte Administration
Tumblr media
The Philippines is considered one of the countries in East Asia Pacific region having the most vibrant and dynamic economy. Its economy has been changing and growing steadily over these past decades. The Philippines has transition in its economy, from being one based on agriculture to more on services and manufacturing in which it is primarily considered now as newly industrialized country. Its economic dynamism is rooted in strong consumer demand supported by its robust remittances, vibrant labor market where business activities are booming with notable performance in the services sector.
Timely measures are indeed important to cushion against the crisis and economic shocks that might affect the country’s economic growth. This is why state leadership styles and strategies contribute a big factor in making Philippines as a country, a better one. Different administrations have past and ruled during their terms just like the former President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III and the current President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Comparatively, these two have their distinct advocacies and leadership approach.
President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III Administration
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Under Benigno Aquino’s administration, the gains of good governance are being translated into the development of the quality of life of the Filipinos, specifically the poor and the vulnerable. The Human Development Index is a summary measure for assessing long-term growth in three basic dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, access to knowledge and a decent standard of living. During his term, Philippines’ HDI value reached 0.702 and the cornerstone of the Aquino administration’s inclusive growth agenda has always been investing in the Filipino people, such as the social services, education system and the goal of universal healthcare is what it has always been pursuing. Under Aquino’s presidency, he signed an Act Amending the National Health Insurance Act of 1995 or the RA 10606, which mandates the provision of comprehensive health care services to all Filipinos and the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, institutionalizing the K to 12 Basic Education Program that provides sufficient time, readiness for tertiary education and preparation for future specific career options.
Tumblr media
The purchasing power of the citizens during Aquino’s administration wasn’t quite favorable to the consumers or the citizens since Philippines faced crisis that time. Inflation has more than doubled in less than a year after the Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) hit the country in November 2013. It damaged crops, have devastated livelihoods and an expanded truck ban in Manila delayed shipments which leads to price hike. The said inflation was also due to the increased price of rice which caused a toll to the purchasing power of the citizens.
Tumblr media
There were number of significant commitments with regards to supporting entrepreneurship, innovation and attaining free and open trade and investment among member economies during President Aquino’s administration. Through the Access of Small Enterprises to Sound Lending Opportunities, this has the acronym of ASENSO, which means progress in Tagalog, had helped enterprises by providing assistance to them. The Magna Carta implementation for MSMEs has also played a significant role in their microfinance. One of the most significant areas in which government had done during his presidency term was educating MSMEs about  Doing Business in Free Trade Areas, which aids them get relevant or proper market information and avail of preferential tariffs. In addition, the administration institutionalized efforts through the Go Negosyo Act of 2013, which has the objective of promoting ease of doing business and assisting MSME’s forward access to services.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte Administration
Tumblr media Tumblr media
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte became the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines after a landslide victory with 16.6 million votes. He is the first president from Mindanao, and also the first local chief executive to get elected straight to the Office of the President. President Duterte has constantly guaranteed the Fiipino people of his promise to continue and sustain the previous administration’s momentum for social development as well as to confront the challenges it failed to address by introducing radical or progressive changes. During his administration, Philippines’ HDI value reached 0.712— which put the country in the high human development category— positioning it at 106 over 189 countries and territories. According to UNDP, between 1990 and 2018, the country’s HDI value increased from 0.590 to 0.712, an increase of 20.6%.
Tumblr media
Education was made affordable and accessible with the “University Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act” or known as the Republic Act (RA) 10931 and the education budget was increased, registering a 32% growth increase from the previous year. Also, the health budget increased by 19% with more than 50 billion budget allocated to expand health financing under Philhealth, providing Filipinos free access to healthcare services. Duterte’s administration emphasizes that through social development and infrastructure, he can provide decent and dignified future for the Filipinos. He was able to boost the Filipino consumers’ purchasing power through the implementation of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, believing that improving the income tax system would be fairer and more efficient as it put more amount of money in the pockets of the consumers and guaranteed strong domestic demand in the economy, while also raising the needed resources to boost economic activity.
Tumblr media
President Duterte vows to support entrepreneurship and innovation through the Philippine Innovation Act he has signed which aims to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) become part of the global market. Republic Act No. 11293, aims to takeout obstacles to innovation by “suppressing bureaucratic hurdles,” and stimulate the entrepreneurial attitude to revitalize growth of local businesses. To attain the country’s innovation goals, the law requires the government to have innovation centers, technology programs, technology platforms, innovation networks, cluster policies, and human capacity-building programs. For good measure, the National Innovation Council (NIC) was formed and is tasked to develop and advance the country’s innovation goals and priorities.
Tumblr media
The previous and present administration has their different ideology, advocacy and definitely a league of their own, the promised straight path by the former and the promised change and end of poverty by the current. Past administration indeed left or turned over a growing stabilized economy and somehow, the current administration benefited from it. But in my perspective, President Duterte’s administration comparatively had brought more economic development than the former administration. Aside from the fact of Manila’s sliding corruption ranking due to his fight against corruption to end poverty, the Philippines' per-capita GDP reached an all-time high under his administration demonstrating competence in protecting and sustaining health of the economy. Though President Rodrigo Duterte is usually being portrayed by media as barbaric and has a terrible human rights record yet, there is no denying that the average Filipino is doing better under President Duterte’s administration.

It’s Time We Listened to the “Kids”
As a scholar, I’ve spent my fair share of time imagining what a post-Trump America will look like. But my vision for the United States doesn’t match what the many in the media are predicting; I like to refer to these predictions as “wishful thinking” because they largely assert a return to “politics as usual” or suggest some type of resurgence in the Obama Era of Good Feelings - neither of which will happen. The idea of going back to “normal” would be valid if the Constitution were truly a living document and policy problems were adequately and substantively addressed, but that hasn’t happened in the last century or so. The Constitution didn’t save us from Trump, it didn’t get him removed from office, it didn’t stop him from performing blatantly illegal actions that make our country unsafe both domestically and internationally, it didn’t put Breonna Taylor’s murderers behind bars, and it won’t save our democracy.
Yet, there are very few in the political sphere that will admit this very real fact. It’s radical in today’s polity to suggest that the Constitution is a tired document that needs to either be seriously reformed and amended to holy hell, or replaced completely by a parliamentary-style government. The latter solution would allow for greater representation and it adequately addresses the issue of extreme party polarization by encouraging the formation of coalitions to gain a majority. Furthermore, parliamentary systems effectively limit the power of the individual in favor of party power, leading to more discipline, less showboating, and (hopefully) no filibuster. But of course, nation-building, like nation-destroying, is complex and not especially popular among the general electorate.
However, one specific demographic - my demographic - is incredibly receptive to progressive policies, including changing the system completely: 18-44 year olds. We coalesced around Bernie Sanders in both the 2016 and 2020 election and will most likely decide whether Joe Biden wins the next election. Even so, Democrats aren’t doing nearly enough to appease the “New Left,” instead choosing to focus on moderate, aging Republicans. This alienates our demographic - who is set to have the second greatest voting power, and is primed to turn out in record numbers in November - further adding to our distaste for Establishment politicians who have done little to nothing to help our generation get by.
In the last month, we have taken to the streets demanding the abolition of the police force and basic human rights for African Americans and Democrats haven’t tried too hard to appease us. We have provided adequate, well-researched policy proposals and solutions to police brutality, yet we are categorically rejected by the likes of Joe Biden - a man who penned and ushered in the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which invariably contributed to mass incarceration and didn’t address police brutality in any way. We saw the systematic campaign perpetrated by Democrats to end Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid twice, called it out, and were gaslit by the party of the working class. After being slammed by the media and older generations for being “lazy” or “uninterested in anything but our phones,” and having our activism ignored or torn apart by the people who are supposed to be on our side, it’s no wonder that many of us have a distaste for “politics as usual” that sometimes manifests as voter apathy. Many of us recognize that politicians on both sides are not actually interested in helping us; our lives are a game for the political elite to play with, and, trust me, that fact is not lost upon the majority of us.
Now it’s our turn to change the world into a more equitable place that respects the human rights of all people. It’s time to listen to the “kids” who are protesting for basic human rights and necessities like the right to not be murdered by those who protect and serve us. Our contemporary body politic is unquestionably corrupt, and we should recognize that the subpar material conditions we live in now have pervaded across centuries. It is not only the fault of the current regime that they can get away with blatantly illegal acts, it’s the fault of the system that allows it to happen time and again. Thus, we must ask ourselves: Why does our system of governance allow injustices? Why do corporations get treated better than human beings? Why are we so different from other developed nations who don’t have these problems? Why do we allow people to murder and get away with it? We have given the Government 231 years to fulfill the promises of our social contract, how much longer must we wait?

Huge win for LGBTQIA+ people today! This is why the Supreme Court matters.
But make no mistake, we still need to vote blue this November. If Trump can get his hands on another Supreme Court seat, this ruling could get overturned and LGBTQIA+ could lose basic, fundamental human rights. We cannot let that happen!
