She is the fiercest nun you’ll ever come across and, if you’re attending Lady Immaculate College, she’s the woman in charge. sister michael so reminds me of the nuns who taught me. they're tough and sometimes a little harsher than a woman who dedicated her life to god should be but they're also wonderful people. i had a nun teacher who was 60 years old and would do handstands. another nun (also in her 60s) told me god was nonbinary. another was really mean and made me cry. (so did the handstand nun.) while the catholic girls school is The Catholic Experience, the school wouldn't have been the same for me or the derry girls without at least one nun who seemed to have sprung up out of the ground fully formed, ageless.

Ok listen. I know this is a stretch but hear me out. He says “oh my God” in the Twitter takeovers so we know this is a possibility. I see him as a Christ-like figure because I saw his whole confrontation with Mephiles and was like “this is a thing that happened in the Bible??” and the pose Mephiles shows him in is literally like a crucifixion and Mephiles is meant to be a demon / false prophet reference. And also he’s called a demon in Shadow The Hedgehog 2005 then the guy who calls him that is like “I was wrong I’m sorry” and that also reminds me of a thing with Jesus in The Bible. But the biggest reason is his whole thing with Maria cause I think he’d come to earth and hear Ave Maria once and convert to Catholicism idk he’s like we’re comforted by a female familial figure named Mary sometimes called Maria?? And her color is blue????? Heck yeah I’m in because I Will Cry. Also feel free to share this as propaganda obv even if he doesn’t get in the bracket just. It’s funny.

I feel like he’d battle a lot with being seen or portrayed as a demon and how the aliens he’s related to very much look and act like demons idk lmao- and also I feel like confession would just be good for him I think he needs it for his mental health

There is a debate on the lovely website tunblr that Shadow T. Hedgehog is an allegory for Jesus Christ.

He is Jesus, idk what to tell you. He lived, he was sealed away, he was awakened again and deemed the ultimate lifeforms, he’s angry but not evil, does what he believes is best for people and the world at any given time. Total loser.

There seems to be some confusion in the notes. He is Catholic. It may not be explicit, but it can be inferred.

Shadow was created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, and for the early part of his life, lived with Gerald and his granddaughter, Maria Robotnik.

Robotnik is not a made-up name. Google Search results may only bring up pages related to the Robotniks of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, however, it is a rarely used Polish surname. Poland is a historically Catholic nation, and… come on. Maria is the most Catholic name ever. The Robotniks are Catholic. Shadow was created and raised by Catholics.

Now you may be wondering to yourself: Does Catholicism even exist in Sonic? The answer is yes, at least in the Archie comics, where Protestants are explicitly mentioned.

Couple this with the fact that several characters, including Shadow, have canonically taken the Lord’s name in vain, it is reasonable to infer that Christianity, and therefore Catholicism, exists.

So… while Shadow’s own religious beliefs may not have been explicitly addressed… at minimum:

Catholic is a cultural designation that Shadow will always be allowed to claim based on the family that made him.

Whether he’d actually want to claim that designation is a different conversation, but the other propaganda does a fine job of explaining why it may be appropriate to headcanon him as a practicing Catholic.

Now that we’ve established that Shadow has as much of a right to be in this tournament as anyone else, there’s one very important reason you should vote for him:

It would be funny if he won.

Essays are done!! Here’s some Shadow propaganda because the propaganda we currently have sucks and I need to fix that. While yes, Shadow being Catholic is a meme, there is more to outside of the simple “fandub said so” and its not quite stated its Catholicism but just how he behaves and his actions. There’s a lot of Sonic content so I will try to keep this brief. Gonna get headcanons out of the way.

Shadow is Chilean and so are Maria and Gerald Robotnik because I fucking say so and they’re Catholic. He definitely had un rosario next to his like. Bed or test tube whatever he slept in. So did Maria btw. Alright let’s move on because I am 100% correct.

Let’s start with some background for Shadow. Shadow was created as a cure for a girl called Maria and he grew to care for her as a sister and loved her deeply. He was artificially created but still holds a soul that is similar to Maria’s. Long story short, Maria is killed protecting Shadow who watches as she’s shot in front of him. He has his memories tampered by Maria’s grandfather, Gerald, who manipulates him into carrying out revenge on the Earth, even if Shadow ends up as collateral.

Shadow struggles with frequent identity crises, even before Maria’s death and always wondered what his purpose was, what he was made to do. Was he a weapon? Was he a cure? He’s the Ultimate Lifeform, but what does that truly mean? ? He’s Shadow, but what more is there to him? He doesn’t know what his purpose is other than what others have prescribed to him, and he guides himself through the will of others (something that he breaks through afterwards but not yet). Shadow at his core is self-sacrificing and constantly punishes himself. This is where you can see some of that good old guilt that everyone has been using as propaganda, but we also see someone who is giving and kind.

He is snarky in the game, especially when interacting with Sonic, but he’s having what is essentially an ongoing mental breakdown but keeps moving because it is his duty to his sister. He doesn’t believe himself important enough to continue on after her and sees it in himself to act out on “Maria’s wishes”. After the revelation that Maria’s final wish for Shadow was for him to make those on Earth happy and to protect them, he immediately sacrifices himself to do so.

Okay, that’s a lot and you’re probably asking “Okay, you mentioned he is a giving person and yeah he has guilt, but that’s not really Catholicism” and yes you would be right! So let’s go into the more important part of being Catholic. The charity, the community, the kindness, etc. Shadow is a very reserved person and has the habit of being a dumb teenager because well. Yeah. Anyways, he definitely has a soft spot for those he cares about and while his whole arc (in my opinion) is about finding the freedom of self-autonomy, it is also Shadow growing as a person and deciding not to save people because others have told him he needs to, but because he wants to. It is born from his soul and its his nature to care for people. It is who he is, and he knows it now. He’s not doing it because he’s a hero or because he is told to do so. Shadow is a very giving person and I think people tend to forget about that especially due to bad writing from the past decade or so. He is also stated to help out at food shelters and volunteers a lot. He is proud and a bit prickly, but he cares so deeply about those he loves. He is stronger with his loved ones and will always do his best to protect them. These are minor, yeah, but you don’t need sweeping and enormous acts to get attention for the good deeds you do. Most of what you apply of Catholicism is done at the personal level, between your friends, family, and community.He also goes to Mass whenever he can and if he can’t he goes to the capilla and also does the sign of the cross whenever he runs by a church. xena didn’t just fight gods. she fucked up a girl’s life so bad that she (calisto) devoted her entire being to destroying everything that xena loved that ended up with calisto becoming a god in order to destroy xena, which didnt work because xena entombed her in lava. and then when xena and gabrielle encountered calisto in the (christian) afterlife (different from the greek one which they also fought her in), calisto dragged gabrielle to hell so xena became an archangel in order to save gabrielle and then sacrificed herself in order to undo all the harm that she did in calisto’s life and then when not!jesus (played by timothy omundson) revives xena and gabrielle, calisto impregnates xena with the reincarnation of calisto’s soul in order to end the cycle of hate. xena doesnt just fight gods. she creates and destroys them

She has a double-bladed sword called Rakuyo that can split in two to be dual-wielded; She's haunting the narrative and the whole game foreshadows her existence

She wields the rakuyo, twin-bladed trick weapon that can transform into a matching katana and dagger, making it a versatile weapon; She one of the highest-ranked Hunters in the game, and fights like an experienced PVP opponent. During the boss fight against her, she stabs herself twice, first to bloody her blades and increase the range of her attacks, and the second time to cause her blades to emit flame when she strikes. Finally, she starts off the boss fight with this quote: "A corpse, should be left well alone. Oh, I know very well how the secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will cure you now. Liberate you from your wild curiosity."

She fights with a sick twin bladed sword which can split into two smaller swords, She was too hard and I couldn't beat her :'(

Duel wielding sword and dagger that combine as a twin blade; Best boss in the game. Also taller than your character by a full head. Her outfit is fashion as fuck as well.

Okay this is not a situation you wanted me in, in fact it was the last thing on your list. Especially in the Butt Fuck middle of nowhere RUSSIA out of all places, but. You & Leon literally had no choice, then again when did you guy’s EVER get a choice??

You both were currently in the middle of a facility in the literal snowy mountains FAR away from Moscow, freezing your tits off, You both had to split up into two separate directions in hopes of finding a vaccine for yet another virus in the US started by whom you ask? Glenn fucking Arias.

So here you were climbing in a fucking vent to sneak into a very secured scientific laboratory since you did not have a key card to get in, Your earpiece started going off and soon you heard your beloved husbands voice “How are we doing gorgeous? Any progress?” You grunted as your elbow slammed into one of many metal walls “If you consider climbing in a vent in order to get into a science lab progress then Yes, lots.” You smiled lightly when you heard Leons chuckle.

“Do your thing sweetness, I’m looking around, just got finished mugging one of the guards of his uniform & keycard“ You were now on the verge of murdering Leon so you just hummed in response, You had finally reached the end of the vent and starting lying on your back as you held up your legs in-front of the vent barriers “I gotta go Leon. I made it to the lab” Before he could even get a response in you kicked the barrier open & jumped out into the lab “That was easy.”

You walked around the room and noticed the Vaccine in a small casing & looked around hesitantly before breaking open the glass box and grabbing the formula “bingo.” You unzipped your body suit just a little bit before shoving the little bottle in between your cleavage and zipping back up and patting your chest before you spun around and immediately got thrown threw a glass window “WHAT THE FUCK?” You groaned as you looked up noticing Maria fucking Gomez making you sigh and plant your head back against the floor “Y’know since I keep running into you I might have to ask my husband if you want to help us spice things up in the bedroom since you love body slamming me so much-“ she walked over to you and pressed her shoe against your face making you grin slightly and grab her ankle “Shut. Up.” You hummed at her before responding after throwing her onto the ground and climbing on her lap and leaning closer towards her face lips almost touching “Make me.”

Now if you’re wondering ‘But what about Leon?’ He knows exactly what you do during your little cat fights, your in-fact quite the minx and MOST of the time it gets you what you want making your guys’ mission easy & successful plus, you really have fun confusing the ladies during your mission, sometimes both of you get in on the act together.

Maria glared and smacked you across the face and started pulling on your hair before you both end up rolling around the room fighting, hitting, shouting, kicking & just because you like to make things uncomfortable sometimes a loud moan. And of course Leon hears ALL of this over the earpiece but he thought you had things under control. Sort of. You we’re currently slammed up on a table so you had to kick Maria a few times before wrapping your legs around her shoulders so that when she stood up you had her head in between your thighs while you hit her a few times on the head before flipping her onto the ground which did NOT have a good outcome for either of you, You broke your fucking leg & she broke a shoulder so both of you laid on the ground groaning & even screaming. She breathed heavily as she laid in a bunch of glass and you were somewhere under a table “You Kennedy’s are a pain in the ass” you chuckled out lightly before nodding and holding your left leg which was the broken one “Yeah well- it’s our job..”

Before you could process the entire fight Leon walked into the lab and chuckled looking at you both “seems like you had your fun gorgeous” you hummed and held up the middle finger while Maria couldn’t even move. He sighed walking over towards you but looked at her “Looks like my girl kicked your ass a bit too much huh?” She glared up at him and spat in his direction which irritated you so you tried swinging your fist towards her but he swatted your arm and pointed his finger at you “Hey, Be good knock it off.” You rolled your eyes “just get me the fuck out of here.” You groaned “I need you to carry me. I broke my leg.” Leon widened his eyes before running his hand down his face “Jesus fucking christ, You really need to start behaving more.”

You sighed nodding your head as he picked you up bridal style “Nice uniform.” You winced out making him smirk nodding “Thanks, It’s new.” He started walking towards the exit and looked back at Maria who was coughing and bleeding quite a lot from all of the glass “It was nice seeing you. Tell Glenn to stop being a pain in my fucking ass for me will ya’?” He turned back around and proceeded to carry you out. Once he left the facility with you in his arms.

A few hours later you woke up in a hospital back in Moscow and saw Leon sitting in the corner reading up a news paper before looking towards your direction and smiling “Well good morning sunshine.” He got up and stood next to you while you smiled “You doin’ okay?” You hummed in response with a nod as-well making him smile lightly and caress your hair “You kicked quite some ass today baby girl. So proud of you, your leg is gonna have to be in a cast for a while though, but good news is..thanks to you the formula is safe & sound now & with rebecca and chris.” You smiled nodding “Well that’s good, not so much my leg but certainly the vaccine. I feel super sore though..”

Leon chuckled nodding “I would assume so pretty girl, you were being slammed around quite a bit today, too bad I won’t be able to do that for a while.” You sighed out in sarcastic sorrow before splaying your hand on-top of his chest “don’t remind me.” You both chuckled as he leaned in and planted a comforting kiss on your lips making you hum and run your hands through his hair “did so good f’me today princess..such a good girl for me.” You smiled softly as he mumbled praises against your lips before pulling away

For the remaining night you & Leon stayed in the hospital for safety precautions on your leg but to keep it peaceful he ordered take out to the hospital & you both stay in the bed feeding each other and enjoying each other’s company not even wanting to think about what the next mission will be in the future.

hello and welcome to the final results of the tournament! we've had over 920 votes in the last round and all categories were pretty close, i think! now it's time to reveal the results and what better way to start than to honour the contestants that might have not made it to the final round, but were still influent enough to warrant some crying when they got eliminated. let's check out the first category right after the cut!

the trailblazers of f1 are not only a source of inspiration with their determination and sheer will, but also a sweet refreshment to the women loving portion of the fandom. these ladies were spread out thinly through the decades, from 1958 to 2014, but they have left a mark enough to be here today. here are your nominees:

it's time to highlight the electric hotties of Formula One history. they came to f1 and they flopped, even if we don't want to admit it. however, as we all know, one of the hottest attributes in any person is their ability to persevere and these guys weren't afraid of challenging themselves in formula e. as a reward, they reinvented their careers, looking pretty hot while doing so. let's take a look at our nominees:

"I can't be like you," María says and she reels herself back in last second just in time enough to avoid making it sound like she's snapping. In the end it fades into something more petulant than anything else, which has María grimace at herself and then stare up at Deva again. "You're, like... I'm not level-headed like you. Maybe I don't want to be. Don't you want to... act sometimes?" ((hyello~ >:3))

In the year following the 74th games, victors Cesare Rosales & María Castro ; a year of agitation in Panem as the social crisis, trials and executions rise, a year before the Quarter Quell.

Deva's eyes land on Maria from across the room. To each one of the younger one's words, the leader listens carefully. She understands. She understands it all. The rage. The anger. This unadmitted need to just burn it all to the ground. To Maria's last words however, Deva's sharp eyes bend into a glare, narrowing. Slowly, she crushes her cigarette down the ashtray on her desk. Does she Act sometimes? "Watch it." Speaks the leader, her eyes on the smoke escaping from the incandescent stick. "I know you are angry right now but do Not disrespect me." Eyes now up, back on Maria. There is something naturally authoritarian in Deva's tone, demeanors, and ways - and so, even though she does not raise her voice, it is harsh, like a razor made of ice. Truth is : Deva too is angry, not at Maria no, at the ongoing situation in Panem. A group of young ones from District 8 have been arrested in the night - it was a confidential matter only the Heads of the Capitol and Snow's private Militia were aware of. Maria only got the information by overstepping. The arrested ones were up to the number of 10 : 6 boys and 4 girls from the lower social statuses aged from 18 to 23, accused of conspiracy against the Capitol, now threatened of being executed. It wasn't anything new in Panem, however a matter that seems to happen more and more frequently these days - something the Capitol wanted to hide at all cost, was it the beginning of another social crisis? To kill the opposition against the power is typical of any dictatorial political system - and here is standing Maria, almost accusing Deva to be part of it by not standing up against it. The regal stands up from her leather chair, in her usual colors - a lady suit, the blazer taken off, her white shirt first buttons already undone, the pants are black and golden by the belt. "I've been at this game for twenty years, you weren't even born. Life wasn't always so Pretty for the victors. Yes, the luxury remains unchanged but their rights was jack shit. Shiny slaves, exploited puppets, suicidal addicts - that's what the victors were. I'm not saying the Capitol doesn't hold us in the palm of its dirty hand still but trust me, not as much. Path and progress was made, our voice now matters and trust was earned. How do I know that? Because Patrick and I took the goddamn hits and we did everything we could to get us this safety, this status, hell, we even get a chair and vote at Snow's table. Do you know how game changer that is? Without all that, you would be under curfew, unauthoriazed to travel back to your district or locked in a room, interrogated, suspected of collaborating with those kids by simply frowning." Indeed, the arrested ones were from the same district as Maria, perhaps another reason the young girl was so angry. Deva walks around the desk and finally reaches Maria's position at the other side of it. They stand one in front of the other now. Even though it's almost uncatchable, there is tenderness when Deva looks at Maria, there is care, there is worry. And deep down, she admires the young one's strength and unapologetic rage. Sadly, the world there are living in is not made for it. "I can't be like you either." The leader speaks on almost a nostalgic tone now. Remembering pieces of her own youth. "I once was... Just once. And it felt good, so damn good. But it made me lose everything"

Aeri.

"It costs me to play by the rules too, I was not made this way, but to follow the book has its perks as well. I know you want to slice their heads off and piss on their graves. There are so many graves I wish I could piss on. too" Deva speaks, a side smallish smile drawn - not a smile of fun but a smile of reassurance as her hands reach out of Maria's, holding them, tight. "If you truly want to help them, you can. You got cards in your hands, you have to play them right. But not by acting up, not by sending yourself to prison by their sides, understood? Cautious. You have to trust me on this."

Chapter 3: Unsettling

Previously on the Bachelor. The contestants were separated into two teams of eleven and had to put on a play. Things got heated with group A as Claudia and Maria got came to blows. [insert clip of Claudia and Maria fighting over who should be the lead of their play. The group voted for Maria after her plea of having stage experience as a singer]. In the end, it was Maria's inability to remember lines that lasted longer than 3 minutes that gave group B their edge (with Anthony's brother Benedict here to judge) and it was group B that won the outing with The Bachelor, Anthony [insert clip of group B being announced the winners and some members of group A, Claudia and Rachel, complaining about Maria]

Today, the winners of the last episode will have a nice fun time at a salsa dancing class where each of them will get a chance to dance with Anthony but this class is more than education and whoever Anthony feels he has the best dance chemistry with will be the winner of the first one-on-one date of the season. The stakes are high but remember the first one-on-one date could set the tone for the season and the aforementioned winner could get a rose before the ceremony at the end of the day [insert Anthony talking to a mysterious lady about how much chemistry he is feeling]

Just remember dears, Lady Whistledown will be watching.

"Daphne, what the fuck are you doing here?" Anthony said immediately after shutting the door to his room.

"I just wanted to see you," she said sheepishly.

"Okay you have seen me now get out of here before anyone gets a long look at you and see that you are pregnant," Anthony gesticulates towards the door.

Daphne sniffles and then starts crying "I'm sorry, I just didn't know who else to talk to,"

Anthony immediately feels bad and embraces his sister while directing her to sit down on his soft couch. "Daf what's wrong? Is it Simon?"

Daphne sniffed "Yes and no. These pregnancy hormones are doing a number on me but it's about you,"

"What about me?"

"I know why you are doing this and I feel bad-" he tried to interject but Daphne held her hand up "-please just let me finish," He nodded and Daphne continued "I know you are doing this so no one finds about me and Simon and I feel bad. You never liked having public relationships and now you are dating multiple women on national television and it's all my fault,"

Anthony took a deep breath. He didn't know what to say. He hadn't known what to say to his sister or his family about this situation for months. "I'll handle it," was kind of his motto at this point.

When Daphne and Simon had shown up on his London doorstep 5 months ago having eloped, he was disappointed. Disappointed in his sister's choice of partner but also that Daphne had forgone all of the things that she had always wanted as a little girl: the big wedding with all her family there and yeah it hurt that one of the few things that Anthony looked forward to as the family's pseudo father figure was the ability to walk his sister down the aisle and he missed that chance with Daphne. Despite it all, Anthony swallowed his disappointment and helped Daphne and Simon announce their situation to the rest of the family. Anthony usually sat at the head of the table so he had a clear view of everyone's reactions. His mother Violet Bridgerton looked at him first and then smiled at Daphne and Simon, taking her daughter's hand. Hyacinth and Gregory who hadn't quite learnt any tact yet asked about Fred and everyone looked at Daphne and Simon, while Anthony took another sip of his drink. It burnt his throat as it went down but he needed it.

Daphne thought she might have been helping the situation because even Eloise joined in on complaining about the suddenness of Daphne's nuptials. Daphne looked to Anthony for help but he shrugged his shoulders, he had warned her. Mostly he warned her that if she could not stand up to the scrutiny of the family when Daphne does eventually go public about her and Simon's relationship the scrutiny would be even more heavy. She then exclaimed, "I'm pregnant!" It silenced the table and Anthony had honestly never seen his family so shocked since Colin had run off a month ago to go chasing after a girl who did not want him. His mother stood up to congratulate Daphne in a hug which got Daphne to finally relax while the siblings all murmured congratulations while Fran, Hyacinth ad Greg spoke about who the favourite Aunt/Uncle was going to be.

Anthony thought it was over, at least for a while, until he got an appointment request from Charlotte Queen. Anthony was prepared to grovel for her forgiveness on behalf of his sister but instead of an angry executive, he got a cool and calm one. Which to be honest, was a lot scarier to him. Charlotte came as a courtesy to let Anthony know that she was going to be making her nephew the new Bachelor. At first, Anthony did not understand why that was news until he realised that that would mean people would be asking questions about why Daphne and Friederich did not work and whatever Fred said on the show could make or break Daphne's reputation. Friederich wasn't a bad guy but he was incredibly sincere and a bit naive, it made it hard for people not to be on his side. It could easily make Daphne look bad especially when news of her pregnancy got out. Anthony asked Charlotte if there was anything he could do to get Frederich out of the next season and Charlotte made it clear that she would someone of equal standing to take her nephew's place. Anthony knew what he had to do next. It was excruciating but after cancelling his meetings for the day and having meetings with all his solicitors and media people it became clear that this could do good things not just for Daphne but as a way to clean up his romantic image as well.

Later that week when Anthony announced that he was going to be the next Bachelor his news gave way to a very mixed reception. Ben and Colin went in on the teasing Hy and Greg were intrigued but it was Eloise who was able to figure out that Anthony had secret motives. That is when Anthony had to come clean about why he was doing it. Everyone understood and no one could offer up any other solutions so Violet then proceeded with the Sunday lunch and the family moved on to lighter topics.

After the lunch was over Anthony went outside to get some fresh, not to smoke a stress cigarette, and Simon came out to speak to him. It was stilted at first, in a lot of ways Anthony had lost one of his oldest and dearest friends to his sister and no one knew how he was feeling. Anthony had a line drawn in the sand for their relationship now: Simon was Daphne's husband and that was that. Things took a turn when Simon commented how this could be a good thing for Anthony and his philandering ways when Anthony lost it. He didn't know when he started but he knew that he was punching Simon relentlessly and Simon did not fight back, it only made him angrier. It was only when Ben came to pull Anthony off Simon did Anthony see the damage he had done. Every one of his siblings looked at him like he was something to be afraid of and Anthony did not stop to speak to any of them as he left Bridgerton House.

It had 4 months since the incident and everyone in the family had moved on. Everyone except Daphne, who he hadn't spoken to in months. He got information about how she was doing from their mother and his siblings but he realised that he could not speak to Daphne or Simon without getting angry and he did not want to be angry around his pregnant little sister.

"Daf I don't know what you want me to say," Anthony said softly.

"I want you to speak to Simon," Daphne said looking at him with those bright teary eyes.

"What would we speak about? I already apologised for the punches. It's done now,"

"Except it's not done. Simon was your best friend. The only other people you are close with are Benedict and Fife, and Fife is terrible and Ben is family,"

"Simon's family now too Daphne, that's what happens when you get married,"

"I know I just didn't think you would lose your friendship over this," she said softly

Anthony got up feeling agitated "Well, we did. He went from being my best friend to your husband that's how these things work,"

"He can still be your friend," Daphne pleaded.

"Except he can't Daf. Not the way he used to be. Simon was the person who I could go to outside of this family, whose loyalty was to me first. It was nice it was freeing at times but now he's your husband and that means his loyalty is to you first," Daphne looked like she wanted to interrupt but Anthony continued "And that's okay. I wouldn't want it any other way for you and my baby niece or nephew in there but it just means I have to keep things a little close to the chest a bit. It may not be this glamourized version of how you thought this was going to go when you married your brother's best friend but it is what it has to be. At least for now,"

Daphne sniffed some more and nodded her head "I wish I had done things differently,"

Before Anthony could answer her there was a knock on the dressing room door.

It took Anthony right out of his moment and he went to go answer it. It was Kate.

"Hi," she said softly.

"Hi," Kate was so beautiful sometimes he needed a moment to adjust "Listen I don't have the time right now to speak,"

"Yeah, I didn't come to speak to you. Well, I did but not like that. Sophie and another line producer are coming to get you so that you can record your confessional for some of the contestants,"

Anthony nodded his head and went to close the door but he must have looked confused because Kate stopped the door from closing and said "I'm telling you this because few people know of your guest and the state she is currently in. We all sign NDA's but things get out. You might want her to put on a cap and leave through the back entrance,"

Anthony sighed and nodded "Thanks Kate,"

"No problem. You have 10 minutes," she said as she quickly walked away.

Anthony tried not to get too distracted by Kate's figure walking confidently and rushed to get a 6 months pregnant Daphne out of the studio lot.

Edwina was a nice girl. Nice being the operative word here. There was technically nothing wrong with her but as he got mic'ed up for their one-on-one date he could not help but feel like he made the wrong choice. Edwina was just one year younger than Daphne but she had already accomplished a lot, she was a principal dancer with the royal ballet, a dancing ability that helped a lot during today's salsa class, she had a degree in psychology and played the piano splendidly. These were all the things he needed reminding of going into this date because although no one could deny Edwina was a beauty, there was nothing distinct about her looks, bright wide eyes, soft delicate features and a smile that made you want to melt inside. It was usually his type but he could not help make the comparison between her and Kate. He did not know why but every time he saw Edwina he thought of Kate. Where Edwina was polite, Kate was cutting. Where Edwina was soft-spoken, Kate was direct and loud. Edwina was pretty, beautiful even but Kate was stunning. A strong beauty with strong features.

Anthony had to shake himself off from thinking about Kate. It was strange but also it made him uncomfortable that he looked at one Indian woman and saw another. Edwina and Kate may share similarities but it's not like he looked at Josie or Anika and saw Kate so why did Edwina remind him so much of Kate? Was he a racist? No way.

As the date with Edwina went on, they spoke about a few things. Anthony asked if she ever went horseriding and Edwina made a face "No not really. I'm not a big fan of horses. I like the small cute kind of animals that curl up in my lap,"

"The really cute ones like you," Anthony internally cringed at his comment but Edwina seemed to like it.

"Thank you. Tell me about you," Edwina prompted.

"What do you want to know?" He asked.

"What animals do you like? What books have you read? I want to know everything," she said sweetly.

"Everything huh? Well, I like cats and horses. My family owns a breed of horses," Anthony could feel that not only was he losing the interest of Edwina but the crew who seemed bored at the conversation unfolding. It was embarrassing, to say the least, he had never had his romantic charisma on display like this before "But if I had to be honest. The last thing I read was accounts and ledgers for my family company. I know it's incredibly boring,"

Edwina giggled "I don't think so. I love to read so I can keep you appraised about what the shelves are being stocked with for the both of us,"

Anthony chuckled a little bit and said "I'm glad, I always loved being read to. Especially by someone with a smooth voice like yours,"

Edwina visibly blushed and Anthony knew he had her hooked. He really was good at this. They spoke about family, Anthony told her to her shock that he had seven siblings and Edwina was nervous but said she did not have any siblings. Anthony figured her nervousness came from the thought of having seven members of his family she might have to impress.

After the end of his date with Edwina, Anthony was feeling invigorated. He liked her. Not as much as someone like Siena, Claudia or Maria but he did not want to give Siena a big head by showing his interest just yet. After recording his confessional, Anthony was able to spot Kate walking around on the grounds.

She was pacing staring at her phone and Anthony knew he should stay clear of her thinking about all the things he has been thinking about since he met her. The way she had already worked her way into his dreams. He convinced himself to go and speak to her by saying it was merely to thank her for the warning about Daphne earlier.

"...Yes, but she may be a bit over her head here. She is only doing this because of her grandparents and what they said," Kate said to Mary, her stepmother over the phone.

"Those people are vile Kate but Edwina can handle herself unless there is another reason why you think Edwina should not be in the running for one of England's most eligible Bachelors?" Mary asked with a sweeter tone

'Yeah, Edwina's gay mom' Kate thought but did not say, this was something Edwina was going to have to figure out on her own and she sure as hell was not going to be the one to out her sister.

Kate then heard someone behind her and saw Anthony heading her way. "Hey, Mom I gotta go. Send my love to Newton please,"

"Will do sweetie. I love you,"

"Love you too," As Kate ended the call Anthony had just reached her. Man, he smelled good. If she did not draw the short straw and had to rally footage for the girls in the house today then she would have been able to see his date with Edwina. She was nervous. Edwina was always good at putting on a show she just hopes that she didn't hurt anyone in the process.

"Who's Newton?" Anthony asked with a quirked eyebrow.

"Why do you want to know?" she asked.

"Why did you answer my question with another question? Is he your boyfriend?" He asked.

Kate was surprised by his boldness then again he had a way of making her heart beat faster. "Would that be any of your business?"

"Maybe not but I feel like I have to know," Anthony said.

Was it just her or did his voice get deeper at the end of that sentence? Kate felt herself heating up and said "He's my dog. A small little corgi,"

Anthony said "A dog huh? Why am I still jealous?"

Kate tried not to be affected by his question but she always loved showing pictures of her little boy so she brought her phone out and asked "Do you want to see how cute he is and how no one stands a chance next to him?"

"Sure,"

Kate showed Anthony a picture of her and Edwina lying on the grass with Newton stretched over her legs. Anthony looked taken back and then pointed at the picture it was then that she realised that Edwina was in the picture "You know Edwina?"

"Yes, she's my little sister. I told you I was here for family reasons just like you," Kate said nervously because she knew she should not have shown him that picture but at the same time hoped that it might prompt him to expel her sooner.

"That's surprising,"

"Surprising? Come on we look alike a bit," Kate said self-consciously about the fact that people liked to make jokes about how Edwina was the pretty one and Kate was the smart one. It was condescending but also opened Edwina up to people who liked to take advantage of her because she might not be historically clever.

"I know you look alike. The minute I saw her I thought of you. It was weird I thought I was racist for a second," Anthony was rambling but Kate found it cute.

"Well, take this as a warning to treat her with kindness," Kate said poking him in the chest.

Anthony grabbed her finger that lingered on her chest and Kate's heart skipped a beat "And why aren't you concerned that she might be the one who would be the mean one?"

"Edwina is kind and sweet and one of the few pure things in this world," she said.

Anthony quirked his brow "Is that so?"

"It is," she said.

"Well, I promise to treat her with the exact amount of kindness she gives out," Anthony said as he dropped Kate's finger to her surprise and disappointment.

Anthony walked away even though wanted him to stay. For what? She doesn't know but Kate knew she had to get a grip quickly because Anthony was supposed to be finding love on this show and she cannot be one of those women who is known for sleeping with people on the job.

Later as Kate watched footage of Edwina's date with Anthony did she realise Anthony's confusion. Edwina did not claim her. To be fair they were only half-sisters and a lot of Western families do not claim siblings that were not full but that was not how she and Edwina were raised so even though it hurt she kept on and tried to find the best angle for Edwina to come out of this date.

I know it's a bit of a stretch, expecting Lady Maria to be able to face off against a Locked Tomb character of all things, but I nonetheless feel that getting knocked out in round one is an injustice. She's tall, stoic, ruthless, kind, and will murder you with a pair of swords, one of which is made out of her blood.

She once gave a friend of mine nightmares that lasted for months after he was plopped down in front of a playstation with no Bloodborne experience and told to beat her, which he eventually did. For that power alone she should be able to get a pass to the second round. Hmph.

shes going to give you all nightmares for months too unless you vote for her NOW!

A new party, drama, school children Palestian, attacks on demonstrators 4.9.2022

I went with Gershon Baskin today to Givat Haviva as he is a member of those who want to form a new party of Arabs and Jews. I think they have left it a bit late but wanted to hear the ideas. For me the highlight was meeting there after so many years a Palestinian student of the school of social work who had worked in our library. I had been very fond of him. He had been such a handsome young man and such a good worker. I went up to him and said, "Do you remember me" and for a moment he looked at me blankly and then his face changed and he hugged me and I hugged him and told everyone how I had been his first boss at his first job. I told them the story of how he had come to work after going home for the weekend. He had gone by bus and stood up for an elderly woman and then they got talking. At the end she told him she would like to introduce him to her daughter. BUT during the trip she had said some very nasty things about Arabs. He said to her, "Lady, the only person who stood up for you on this bus was an Arab." He said it was the highlight of his day and for me too.

There were about 100 people but not so many women and no young people which is sad. One man said that we are not only striving for equality but also for a coming together of the two people. One woman summarized it…recognition, apologizing and sharing on both sides. Achinoam Nini, one of the few artists who openly sides with the left was also there and she sang for us and, even without accompaniment, it was beautiful. She said she has paid heavily for her affiliation with the left . She had sung at the tragic meeting when Rabin was killed and had just come down from the platform….ten minutes later and our world had changed. She thought to herself of the price he had paid and said to herself that she could also pay the price. She sang Ave Maria for the Pope at the Vatican city.

One of the guys who went down with us said that it was a waste of time thinking of a new party but I think, even the faintest light when we are going down into such dark days is worth supporting. I don't know if I would vote for them if it becomes reality. But I am glad to know that they are there. Anyone who looks for a new way.

I did not go to Sheikh Jarrah as we came home in the afternoon and even though it had not been physical I was exhausted and I have been invited out for supper.

What got left out of my previous letter…..a drama group has been started at Nofim. Only about 10 of us. But it was great fun. The woman, for example, would give us the word "Shalom" and then teach us how to use it in different ways. A lot of what she does also reminds me of Miami, our exercise guide and we started off with light exercises. I was quite surprised at some of the people who came but it made it more interesting. Reminds me of the moment for Rabbis For Human Rights founder Rabbi David Forman z"l back in 1988 when his daughter went to meet a friend at the Jerusalem Central Bus station with a "controversial" shirt with "Freedom of the Press" in Hebrew, Arabic and English. A crowd surrounded her and began shoving and spitting, and then a police woman said her shirt was "illegal," and she must take it off immediately. What happened afterwards is not clear. I think Arik Aschermann quoted this.

We had a very pleasant Saturday morning. I went with the Mothers against Violence two visits to the children of two villages which are always under attack from the settlers. We took them all the knick knacks that the children love but also because it is it the beginning of the school year, backpacks for some of the poorer children, clothes……..and bottles of water. The green settlement overlooks the arid, dry village where water flows into the swimming poot, where showers are taken with no problem, where gardens are watered daily, but to this village we take water. Do you remember about 80 years ago when Jews were deprived of water in the ghettos? The settlers do not care to remember this.

The children sat and drew. Some of them an home to tell the brothers and sisters of the largess and of once, instead of demonstration, there was these happy faces. The lady in the bottom photo is an amazing woman who fights for the rights of women and children in the community. None of you can have any idea of how strong these women have to be to hold their own in a patriarchal society and she says she can only do it because of the support of her husband and family.

Saturday night there was a demontration I Tel Aviv and, as I had had time to rest after the morning which had been most enjoyable,I decided to go. It was against performerrs who perform in the occupied territories and clubs which give such performers access…I doubt we did anything but the main thing was that I was dying to go to the toilet and eventually someone said I should go into a restaurant. The receptionist was very nice and told me to go down one floor. One floor, I thoughT, I can walk but then it turned out to be 4 flights of steps. I was completely bewildered when I got to the bottom as I did not look like anything I knew, almost like a boiler room but at least I found a toilet. So I saw there was a lift but it did not say which floor was exit. I tried the first floor and came out in another absolutely wierd space. It looked like it should be flats but was completely deserted. I dived back into the lift before I lost it and tried the next floor, even worse. I began to feel as if I was in some strange movie.After all I had been told I had only to go down one floor. And then ….at last…another floor. I peeped out in suspicion and heard the sound of music and voices. It was truly the sounds music. Never again.

The demonstrations are becomingh more violent. I was not at Sheikh Jarrah this week but at least there it seems that they have changed to commander of the police. He pushed away the most violent and filthy mouthed demonstrator from Mossie Raz who is in the Knesset and at the end of the demo went up to Mossie and shook his hand. So if he remains if bodes well for the future. The previous guy simply incited the police to violence against the Israelis on the left and the Palestinians. But as you can see from the above PDF it is getting dangerous and this is not the first time.
