Thanks for the tag @thanatostouch! Have the last lines from Mask and Trust (the coffee shop arc/piece, still. They are refusing to shut up and part ways).

Vega nods, pinned in place by the weight sitting heavy on her chest. “Good,” she says lightly. “That’s—” she stumbles over the delicacy of structuring her tone so it doesn’t come across too hard. “I’m glad,” she says, “that you can appreciate the gesture.”

Celeste offers a wavering smile. “Of course. I always appre…” reality striking her expression, memory igniting at mention of remembrance and the past. What’s left of the gentle atmosphere saps through the hesitance. She clears her throat. “I’ve always seen your kindness.”

Vega’s lips press flat as she inclines her chin just barely enough to classify being a nod, weak acknowledgement to the statement that may no longer ring true — is she still seeing it now, even through her fear? Will she still see it tomorrow and in the rest of whatever future is left (because the certainty has melted, is lost as if it was never around, cotton candy in a downpour).

Fave Villain

He is THE WORST and he did it so well.

I really did like Chalothon / Dr. Slomotion / Cocomelon / the many other names invented for this man throughout the course of The Sign. He was a great villian in that he had a clear goal and purpose, it was morally wrong but completely justifiable in his mind and they made that justification clear to us, the audience. At the end of the day, he was given a redemption arc that actually made sense and felt good to me. He saved Tharn from the main baddies, eventually realized the error of his ways and set things right.

ALSO, I said it before and I'll say it again, watching Heng Asavarid go from this...

...to THIS...

...was like GOD DAMN! 10/10 I would like to see him in more things soon PLEASE AND THANK YOU!

The thing thats consistently bothered me the most in the fallout show is the racism. I would hesitate to recommend it because of that alone. And there was obvious love that the set and prop designers, actors, costume department, and even maybe the writers put into the show! There are themes and characters in fallout that i'm certain would resonate with fans of color!

It KILLS me that so many of the fallout entries are damn well unplayable/watchable in this regard because the writers simply Don't Care how the people in their work are presented. That this like hugely popular world with a lot of worldbuilding and thought behind it does such wrong to so many people, fans and otherwise, that you cannot find any game in the series that does it right or well. It alienates a lot of people who might've been fans just because the majority white creators and fanbase don't give a shit, and I'm sick of it.

it's not enough to say "in the fallout in my head that racism doesn't happen," you actually have to put some things into PRACTICE. Allow space in your head, your games/show, your fan spaces for people of color! notice and say something when you see racism coming from media, yourself, and others!
