I’m so happy this is finally finished! It took awhile to finish but i’m so happy!!

This is just a fanart of a headcanon i have of MC in a transformers fanfic i read in quotev where in the future she becomes a rebel against the senator council and goes threw out Cybertron graffitiing peace protests against the government and puts up hologram posters of facts and the lies that the council puts up to propagandize Cybertron’s population.

Honestly the hardest part on MC’s design is the shoulder and legs wheels cause i’ve never drawn transformers so i was racking my head on how to draw them. And also is it just me but why are transformers helms so hard to draw?!! Like i know it’s a helmet but just kept feeling like i just made them bald. But it’s so much fun trying to draw something that i’ve never tried before and so glad that there’s a concept art for the MC of the story in chapter 18 cause if there aren’t any i’m an absolute goner to draw this!!! And I mostly drew this in the Transformers animated style cause primus save me it would have took me ages of life to draw this in like prime or IDW style (to those who can transformers in that style, i bow to your superior skills cause most people would think that drawing detailed blocks are easy but PITS NOPE!!!)

And i gave little reference on the paint that’s inside the paint spray gun where the colors i referenced to the cover of the fanfic (and i also made MC holding a car spray gun to do her graffiti cause i kind of thought that no one in Cybertron have graffitied yet so for MC to do it in Cybertron like back in her life as a human she uses spray guns that are used to paint cars/alt modes in transformers. And if someone ask on why the spray gun is attached to a hose on MC’s bag thing, the black part of that bag is to storage paints so like the bags used by graffiti artists that i found and the red bottom part of the bag is an air compressor thing like it’s used in car spray gun but in a more portable size. And honestly not sure if i should call it bag cause, atleast in my headcanon on how MC made her handicraft bag, technically it’s just a metal box that MC found that she attaches a cut hose for the sling and maybe and old used air compressor she fixed cause if I remember correctly bags aren’t a thing in Transformers so i tried to incorporate that). And in the background is actually those colored beats like in videos where each music beats the video shows it as a reference to MC’s love of music (and the blue pink colors are not only referring to MC’s optics but also cause in the fanfic she has the power to open a portal to the void/shadow realm so i was referencing that). And the white lines on the edges of the drawing is a referencing to MC hacking and putting up hologram posters cause i thought that if MC is going to get the truth from the government she will need to be able to hack computer systems and such to get them. And it’s just a tiny detail but the curves inside of Nebula as she swirls behind MC where it’s sharp is a reference that she looks like flowing flames but I didn’t want it to be too obvious so i just decided to make her a flowing blob (cause i thought that that’s what she looks like in the solid world if MC isn’t in the void) shadow with slight sharp angles like how stylized fires look like. Also can someone tell me if there’s a device in Transformers to make hologram posters? Cause I wasn’t sure what it would look like so just made it look like a flat disc in MC’s right servo. And just a headcanon as well, MC’s will absolutely splatter herself with colorful paints as not only as protest against the government that tries to make her to convert to their ideals but also just as a fun self expression where while MC is covered it messy paints it’s also made her beautiful with her confidence on not being afraid to stand out and be different (tho i have a feeling that if Knockout saw her like that he’ll have a spark attack) kind of like a transformer’s version of tattoos and such. The feathers on MC’s helm i intentionally put rainbow colors on them cause i kind of thought that the feathers are holographic so every time MC moves her feathers reflects and changes color. And the reason why i made MC and Nebula surrounded with so many colors is sorta kind like a representation how went from just living by under the rules of Cybertron to taking charge in trying to help Cybertron by doing things that’s different by the standards there and giving color to the lives around her. And i made Nebula with wings as a little nod on her connection with Unicron and i just made her sparkly cause i thought it’ll be pretty hehe~ along with the mismatched mascaras that MC uses cause i just thought it adds abit of that rebellious allure especially since the colors that are used are the shade of the other optic’s color!

Honestly this is one of my favorite drawings i made! I’ve always loved those drawings where monochromatic colors being surrounded by like a rainbow bomb around them, so this drawing is definitely my absolute favorites!

OK, NOW for the videos I found; they were all FLC, so I converted them to gif, since there was no audio anyways. Sorry if some of these are VERY low res- they were already, but I had to convert them to like 3 different formats back and forth thanks to file size limits and general paywalled bullshit.

There's more of these in the comic creator, but I can't find a gif compressor that isn't a pain in the ass and converting them to a small mp4 and back only makes the gifs bigger for some stupid reason. There's also another video I couldn't find in the files that showed a creature doing a test drive emote in the creature stage.

Some of this program's files just- do not show up in the folders when they do for my friend. I'll have to try and properly get some of it some other time, I'm far too tired for this nonsense right now. I might have to uninstall adobe air for half the stuff I'm trying to do to even work properly. If you want to rip files from this yourself, DO IT BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE GAME.

So. I just had to reinstall Sims2... again. About every 18 months I will get careless with my CC, muck with the TSData etc with no backup and lose everything. You'd think I'd learn, but apparently the lure of playing the first 24 hours of the Brokes in a clean Pleasantview makes me subconsciously self-sabotage. So, I thought why not use this opportunity to lay everything out (with links) so that I have myself a handy-dandy guide to All The Fixes. Because currently I use about sixteen different walkthroughs for different things.

I genuinely like how the dark blue original UI blends into the visual background more than the cleanUI, no matter how good a mod that is. 800x600 UI size at 1900x1600 resolution is my dream!)

Step 10: Commence binge-downloading CC, forgetting (as always) to keep it neat and subfoldered. Some things are essential (thanks be to Numenor, HugeLunatic and Honeywell for Build Mode especially) other things vary each time depending on how I want this particular installation to look/play. Get on Tumblr. Get on MTS2. Get on Pinterest. Get on TSR and wait 1 min per download as a last resort. Fill yer boots!

How to download high quality videos onto iOS devices using Shortcuts

MOBILE GIF-MAKING SERIES

So you want to make GIFs or a fun little video edit for your fandom. The problem is, you don't have access to a standard desktop computer—just an iOS device that is not jailbroken (i.e., you're limited to apps in the Apple App store). You can always just screen record. But if you want something that gives you a clean file at its highest resolution, there's a pre-made shortcut for the Shortcuts app will allow you to download video files from hundreds of different websites at their highest available quality with a few clicks.

Operating systems: iOS (iPhones, iPads)

Difficulty: Easy

Required apps/tools: Shortcuts SW-DLT shortcut; A-Shell Mini (recommended) or A-Shell

Optional apps: VLC Media Player and Video Converter and Compressor.

Input: video links (compatible with links from hundreds of websites)

NOTE: If you have a desktop computer or an Android device, there are ready-made apps that will do this for you which you can download freely—for example, 4kVideoDownloader.

If you're unfamiliar, Shortcuts is an pre-installed Apple app that lets users make "shortcuts" that execute a series of operations across one or more apps on their device with the click of a button. You just need to add a community-made shortcut that does all the downloading for you to your Shortcuts app, and give it the free terminal app that it needs in order to do its thing.

NOTE: Shortcuts are, by nature, open source. This shortcut in particular is a "wrapper" for yt-dlp and gallery-dl which are also open source and hosted on GitHub.

1. Required materials

A-Shell Mini

You can download this terminal app for free in the app store. Don't worry—you don't have to type a single thing into it. All you need to do is download it.

NOTE: The full version, just called A-Shell will also work, but it's over 1 gb in size while A-Shell is a few hundred MB, so save yourself the bloat.

Shortcuts SW-DLT shortcut app.

The SW-DLT shortcut can be shared to your Shortcut app via this link on RoutineHub.

Select "Get Shortcut" to open the shortcut in your Shortcuts app. Then tap "Set Up Shortcut"

The following panel will open:

All you need to be mindful of here is the "isMini" line. If you downloaded A-Shell Mini, this line should read "True".

If everything looks how it should, select "Add Shortcut" and it'll be added to your shortcut library in the Shortcuts app.

2. Copy the video link you want

I'm going to copy a youtube video as an example, but you can download links from hundreds of sites. When you've copied your link, open your Shortcuts app, go to the "Shortcuts" view and select "SW-DLT".

A prompt like this should open (it'll automatically grab your link from your clipboard).

NOTE: Throughout this process, Shortcuts is going to ask you for a lot of different permissions. If you just click "Always Allow" for each one, going forward you shouldn't get those prompts a bunch).

Select "Download Video" and two more panels will open. The first asks you to select your desired video quality/resolution and next asks you to select frame rate (choose 30FPS if it's a TV Show or a Movie).

After selecting your FPS, the shortcut will automatically open A-Shell Mini and begin running a script that downloads your file.

NOTE: The first time you ever use SW-DLT, A-Shell-Mini won't download the video—it's instead going to set up everything it needs to get videos downloaded from here on out then it's going to send you back to the Shortcuts app. Just go back through the process of clicking the SW-DLT shortcut and choosing the quality and FPS again. You won't have to do it twice anymore after the first time.

When your file is finished downloading, a share sheet will open.

Select the drop down arrow at the top of the screen to select how you'd like to save your file.

DO NOT click "Save Video".

Hit "Save to Files" instead.

Selecting "Save Video" will result in your device trying to save the file to the Photos App, which can't load or save some video files because of their codec. A video's codec is different from it's container (file extension type). In other words, the MP4 file format of this trailer I downloaded isn't the issue. The way it was transcoded results in its codec being incompatible with the Photos app.

If I just want to play the video locally as is, I can download VLC Media Player and play the video there. But if I want to use it do edits on my phone... it'd be a hell of a lot better if it was in my Photos app, since a lot of apps only access media from there, right? So I need to re-transcode it.

3. Transcode the video so it can be moved to the Photos app.

Transcoding a video allows you to change its codec and its extension. I've come up with two free ways to do this on iOS so far.

Video-Converter.com

This is what I recommend you use. It's an online tool that converts videos up to 4GB in size to different video and audio codecs and file formats and can give them back to you at their original quality in just a few clicks. I was able to upload my 4K video in this tool on iOS and have it transcoded to the (default) H.264 codec, playing on my device still in 4K in a few minutes.

Hit "Open File" and select the video from your Files app. After it loads, you can choose your video and audio output options. However, I left everything at default and it worked.

If you open "settings", you can see the video codec that Video-Converter plans to use. If those codecs are H.264 and AAC for video and audio respectively (which should be the defaults), you'll get a file that plays back on your iOS device. Click "Convert" and it'll begin making the new video for you and will give you a download when it's done. You can save that new download to your Files app, and then share it to the Photos app by finding it in your Files app, holding down on it to open options, and selecting Share > Save video.

Video Converter and Compressor

I would only use this if you need something offline. It's slower, it has annoying ads, and it bugs you about a paid version you don't need. It will work though and it's the only one I found in the app store that doesn't paywall what you need or limit you to some kind of free trial. Select "Video Converter">Files/iCloud and select your video. The following panel will open:

This is again—a lot of options. But if you toggle "Advanced" you should again see the H.264 and AAC video and audio codecs are the defaults, and those will play in Photos. Select "Convert" and it'll serve you an ad, but once its done, your video will begin downloading.

As someone who has tinkered around with youtube video stuff on a very amateur level, I would absolutely love to hear some details on what you do to your audio to neutralize sibilants. I've tried many things to clean up my audio — and I'll flatter myself to say that I believe I've largely succeeded — but those S sounds stubbornly stay stable.

I would say it's nothing special, but it's also something I have dialed in slowly over the course of the last ten years. I go back and listen to some of my earlier videos and they sound absolutely dreadful, and 80% of the time that's down to the EQ work on my voice.

And not to throw shade or anything, but I even listen to guys like Super Eyepatch Wolf and think "jeeze, dude, turn down your EQ knobs a little." Dude seems to crank the bass and the treble as high as they'll go.

For that reason, I've tried to keep my process simple. So here's the current version of the plugin chain I use in FL Studio:

First, I run it through something called the "Soundgoodizer", which is a general collection of EQ presents you can turn up and down. I leave it fairly low as to not overpower the audio (which would give me the Eyepatch Wolf effect). Mostly this fills out the bass and balances the audio a little.

In the EQ bar there in the middle, I also drop out the highest frequencies. Just completely zero them out. This is the biggest component of the sibilants. It greatly reduces the sharp sounds that come with the S and C words.

That's FX channel 1, which then feeds in to the main FX channel, where the rest of my plugins are. So everything I just said was step 1, and now these are step 2:

First up is a Multiband Compressor. These are a lot of scary knobs but I just use the "Mastering 2.4db" preset. This also levels the audio to make sure nothing is too loud or too quiet. It also does some of its own EQ work, but mostly its to make sure everything stays in balance.

Next I run it through a Low Pass filter at 16000hz (again, another preset). Dropping out the high frequencies in FX Channel 1 does a lot of legwork in cutting down the sharp sounds and this finishes the job. However, if you look at the full size image, the mixing knob for this one isn't at 100%. That's because at 100% mix, I find it makes my audio feel a little muffled, since I'm basically doing a low pass (FX1) on top of a low pass. Turning the mix down to 75% helps retain some clarity while making sure you aren't being stabbed in the ears.

The Parametric EQ plugin is the only plugin where I'm not just using a preset. The EQ profile you see on the left is something I looked up on a guide somewhere once years ago for how to attain the so-called "radio voice" EQ ratio. I've modified it a bit here to be less aggressive than the guide showed, because I'm looking for a light touch, since over-EQing your audio is easy to do.

Down at the bottom is a Fruity Limiter plugin, which is always there every time you start a fresh project in FL Studio. It's kind of just another kind of compressor, and I never think about it or look at it or mess with it. I don't actually know what it even does to the audio. Like I said, it's just there on every fresh project by default. It might not be doing anything at all.

After all of that, this is the end result:

Not dramatically different, and some would even say the raw audio from the microphone is good enough, but again, it's all about having a light touch on the enhancements while catching and limiting the problems. You'll notice that on the sibilants (the S sounds), they still exist, but they're a lot less sharp.

If worst comes to worst and there's something I just can't get rid of, Vegas also has an audio plugin called "Multiband Dynamics" that has a de-esser setting, but I find that can sometimes make my audio sound a little strange, so I use it as a last resort.

I don't know if any of this means anything to anyone but me, but maybe it did! And I hope it helps.
