TVD SEASON 2 FINALE:

How I’m choosing to believe it went

Bonnie (rightfully) refuses to help Stefan find a cure for Damon because he’s horrible/doesn’t deserve to live and he wouldn’t hesitate to let Bonnie die.

Bonnie pretty much starts putting herself first from here on out because she deserves better

Damon (thankfully) dies from the wolf bite at the end of season 2.

Elena doesn’t forgive Damon for any of his misdeeds because death does NOT equal an automatic pass for all of his appalling actions.

She doesn’t give him that disgusting kiss while he’s on his death bed. (That kiss wasn’t their first kiss either btw, their first kiss was when Damon forced it on her in 2x01)

Stefan doesn’t leave town with Klaus because he didn’t have to go to him for help for his undeserving brother

Without having to take the cure to Damon, Katherine would remain trapped with Klaus and would be taken with him when he leaves MF

Stelena continues to flourish (as it should)

Life for the MF gang remains kind of normal (as normal as it can get in a supernatural town)

Season 3 pretty much doesn’t happen because it wouldn’t have the chance to snowball into the events that occurred

The only thing that would remain the same is the Jeremy/Anna/Vickie storyline I reckon

Season 4 would only partially happen because the hunter would still come to town, and Shane would probably still be a problem

Anyway, Damon dying from the wolf bite solves lots of problems and that’s why he should’ve perished!

Joseph Morgan is going to be part of a new Vampire show?!

I just watched a video that he posted for the subscribers to his Instagram and he talked about being on Halo (which I’m only watching to see him at this point cause I was never a gamer🤣) but he also announced that he’s trying to create a new vampire show that seems to be based off a popular novel.

Idk what it is but I’m more than happy to watch Daddy Hybrid play a new vampire role! I’m so excited!

And I’m surprisingly excited to watch Halo and see him be a manipulative ONI ruler🤣

Season 2 trial prediction/speculation

Claudia's diary entry (from Merrick) being read out loud on stage and used to judge her.

(That would put a very interesting spin on it all, and we know from episode 4 that one diary was in Paris.)

"It has been so many decades since Louis presented me with this little book in which I might record my private thoughts. I have not been successful, having made only a few entries, and whether these have been written for my benefit I am unsure. Stefan VS Damon

Both are HOT. But...for different reasons. This is what I think.

Preface: I am new to the TVD fandom. I just finished season 2 and am a slow watcher since I am watching the series exclusively with my cousin whenever we hang out. Of course I am aware of the big debate...Stefan or Damon (although Jeremy Gilbert is superior imo lol).

Here is my (un)professional take so far:

Stefan would sacrifice you to save the world (bc that's what you want). He loves unconditionally and fully. He wants nothing more than for Elena to be happy, even if that means her happiness comes at his expense. He also completely understands the value that the people she loves have in her life, and he would understand that if it came down to it: her or the world(and therefore the people she loves), he should try to save the world FOR HER. Because Elena wouldn't want to live if the people she loves aren't there. Not only that, but my guy Stefan is a feminist, and everything that is done is always about ELENA'S CHOICE. That means even when he doesn't agree, or it is painful for him. He is always on her side.

On the other hand

Damon would sacrifice the world to save you. Because while Stefan loves softly and passionately, Damon loves recklessly and incessantly. Damon wouldn't spare a second thought to the world, because his love is like a fire burning desperately wanting more. He "loves" Elena, but her happiness is an after thought. He *s2 spoiler* would rather force his blood down her throat than risk the possibility of her dying and not coming back. Because he loves her and her ONLY. He doesn't think about what she would want...only that he couldn't bear being without her. And Damon would kill or destroy anything or anyone in his way if it meant that she was safe. Because while Stefan needs her happiness, Damon could care less about that...Damon just needs her. And this is by no means healthy...but golly gee, it's attractive.

Idk what is gonna happen. Maybe something significant will go down leaving me angry with Stefan, but as of right now I could not imagine him messing up that bad. Right now idk how I could ship Damon with Elena when Stefan is right there. Yes the chemistry between Delena is AMAZING, but he doesn't want what is best for her. And honestly, I kinda think that he views her as an idealized version of Katherine instead of who she actually is. Yes, Damon deserves love and deserves to be happy and I want nothing but joy for him, but I don't think that joy is going to come from Elena. Imo Stefan is so much better for her, and (as of rn) I stand by that.

I know this is probably stone age old, but I just noticed something as I was re-watching TVD...

In the last episode of s2, Bonnie and Stefan were trying to contact the Salem witches to reach a cure for Damon's werewolf bite. Emily was being bitter and had Stefan believe that she wouldn't help because he was asking for Damon, because Damon was "a monster" (whatever that means to the witches who refuse to help often for selfish reasons). The witches wouldn't tell them anything, but Bonnie did hear them say "Klaus."

Now, you wanna know what I think? No? Well, sucks to be you, cuz Imma say it anyways.

As far as I can recall, Emily had no personal reason to hate Damon. In fact, she had reasons to like him, because he tried to keep her safe (as a ticket for "Katherine's escape from the tomb", but... Eh), so the reason why she didn't wanna help was, in fact, Niklaus. Neither she nor the other witches wanted him to appear sacred or rare to vampires, because imagine vampires knowing they no longer had to fear wolf bites? That would disrupt the real balance of nature. Also, at the time Nik wasn't doing any real self development to be a good person, so the last they knew of him was all the witches he wronged, abused and daggered, so they also had a selfish reason.

But they would have Damon, Stefan, every character in TVD and us think that no one liked Damon, because he's a real monster with no redeeming qualities, even tho we've seen what witches can do.

Bonnie should’ve never existed to where she benefits Elena and Caroline’s need while having little to no room for her own emotions. I just hate that many many fans expect Bonnie to feel very little or nothing so that Caroline or Elena can be happier in their lives. Instead the argument is about who Bonnie care about more but cannot name many moments where either girl is giving pouring into Bonnie as she gives i to them lol

Season 2 Haylijah

I'm always shocked when people try to use season 2 haylijah to argue they are bad for each other. To me, season 2 proved how much they loved each other.

Recently, someone tried to say Elijah didn't accept Hayley when she first turned. And I hate to tell people to rewatch, because I think it's rude, but that statement is just not true. One of my favorite deleted scenes (deleted scenes are still canon) is Elijah telling Hayley they will explore everything she has grown to be (a hybrid) and he reminds her she is still a wolf and a mother. He doesn't not accept her as a hybrid but he was watching the woman he loves mourn the loss of her child and fall apart. We are also watching this as we see flashbacks of him having to pull away from Marcel because of Klaus' jealousy. The show very purposefully parallels these events. Elijah feared stepping up and taking care of Hayley because he knew Klaus would have spiraled and been an absolute menace if he had. So instead he steps back and forces Klaus to step up. He knew Hayley so well he knew to send her to her pack because she needed to reconnect with her humanity. And sure enough, once she has purpose again, she starts to feel more comfortable with her new life. It's also very clear that his decision to step back was hard on him. He felt isolated and alone because of it, but he thought it was best for both Klaus and Hayley. Hayley of course doesn't know all of this and does get angry and pulls away herself, which is what Elijah felt was necessary. Twice this season we see Elijah abandon his own home and family in order to give Hayley what he thought was best.

Even though they are not on the best terms, they still support each other and care for each other. Every time Hayley needed help, she went straight to Elijah because Elijah had always been there for her. Even when Elijah is at the safehouse Hayley calls him for advice. I also love this season because season 1 showed Elijah seeing the potential in Hayley and then season 2 showed Hayley living up to that potential. They both worried for each other but trusted the other to handle themselves. Even when they are in different relationships, they are still each other's comfort. I once read that if you want to write a compelling relationship, they should still be compelling if they were not sexually attracted to each other. To me, season 2 shows that for haylijah. They cannot be in a romantic relationship and yet they are still so important to each other. They were each other's friends and family above anything.

You may not agree with all of their decisions in season 2, but you cannot deny they always tried to put the other first. Elijah was constantly checking in with Hayley to make sure she was safe and happy. Relationships are not 50/50. Hayley is going through so much and she needed Elijah to give more than she could. We see it in later seasons that when Elijah is unable to give more, Hayley, without hesitation, pulls the extra weight. They are true partners.

I genuinely believe that if Rose would’ve lived or survived the werewolf bite, Damon would’ve fell in love with her. Yes, of course, he was in love with Elena by then. But Elena hasn’t not fell in love with Damon by then, and was still with Stefan. Realistically, I think Damon would’ve strayed away from Elena, unintentionally, and fell in love with Rose.

imo stefan and damon salvatore are such functional and delicious love interests bc they boil everything down to absolute essentials. one of them is good, and hot, and sweet to you. and one of them is bad, and hot, and forbidden. so you have plenty of tension to simmer away at there. and then through circumstances and choices the script is flipped and suddenly the good one is bad and the bad one is good and we can start all over. Stefan gets to be more audaciously bad than Damon ever was, and Damon gets to show his concerned, protective side. two of octavia butlers famed sexy concepts are transformation and evil; with damon and stefan, everyone gets a chance to transform and everyone gets their turn at being evil, tingeing the otherwise moralistic vampire code they live by with the reality of danger. it's taking good boy/bad boy to a whole other level. and they're also. fucking. brothers. delicioso
