Storm Hawks and if they would Survive Dracula

Aerrow

Aerrow is pretty optimistic when he meets this strange bureaucrat. Even with his strange ways, he lives with Stork after all. I'm thinking hes doomed. Although I could see him escaping Dracula by literally leaping off the top of the castle and gliding away. Half drained and all. He lives(barely).

Piper

Knows something is off immediately and sneaks around to investigate. Never learns he was a vampire but thinks he was some kind of serial killer. With this in mind she braves the wolves outside. Probably lives.

Finn

A night into staying he actually catches on that he is a vampire and calls him out on it. Instead of keeping this to himself so he could get away. Also flirted with the vampire brides multiple times. Probably dies.

Junko

Hes tries really hard to fit in. That he just assumes all their weird antics are just rich people way. Doomed.

Stork

Didn't even get on the carriage. Heard the story from the locals and didn't go.

Radarr

Could smell the wrong of Dracula, and also didn't go in. Although he did have a terrible night trying to escape the wolves outside.

HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEEENNNN!!! SPOOKY DAY IS FINALLY HERE AND I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT MY CHEEKS ARE HURTING WITH HOW MUCH I’VE BEEN SMILING ALL DAY!

Anyways, as promised, HERE IT IS! The special Halloween fanart I’ve been working on since Spooky Month started! And if my followers who were present last year recognize Aerrow, Piper, Perry and Finn’s design, that’s because this fanart is basically part of the same AU! Or rather, an upgraded version of the AU.

Because I love Halloween, I have a tendency to try imagining characters I love as Halloween-y monsters and characters like vampires and werewolves and witches and so on. And this year, I finally came up with a proper AU to facilitate these Halloween-y versions of characters I love. I call it the Hallow-verse. It’s basically an AU I’m going to let myself use for any fandom I want to. So, it’s kind of a crossover AU, except I’m only using one fandom at a time and I’m not having characters of different fandoms interact in the Hallow-verse except on special occasions. Because I’m actually super-mega picky about crossovers (I don’t know if you guys knew that before, but I’m letting you know now). I’ve already got a lot of lore in mind for this AU, but I won’t share it yet because I gotta post this before the trick or treaters start showing up! XD

Part 2 of the field guide is here quicker than expected!

As I’ve said before, all vampires have the ability to transform into a feral form so I won’t repeat it here.

But here’s some more info on a unique part of my vampire lore: Soul Marks.

All male vampires are born with a special marking on their back known as a “Soul Mark.” Soul Marks often take the shape of a symbol of their truest self. Most are other animals, like fish, mammals, birds etc. but some can be more abstract like the moon, or elements.

It is believed these come from the god of death, Astennu, since he was the first to have one.

Soul Marks are believed to be a way tods attract mates, the more interesting or flashy a marking is, the more attractive that tod is. Once a pair has committed themselves to each other, the vixen will gain her partner’s marking. The process can be painful, but it is only temporary.

In the case of two tods becoming mates, their markings will merge to create a new one.

Aerrow sometimes breathes out smoke and embers when he’s annoyed, it turns into fire when he’s especially mad.

He can create blue flames at will and can use them to light candles or shoot down skimmers, if he focuses, he can even fly for short distances.

He can also heat up his body enough to cut through thick sheets of metal with his claws.

So I’ve definitely drawn Aerrow in his feral form before but I never formally introduced it? Lol sorry about that.

So here he is :D he’s received a few tweaks over the years. Hope this one is the final design but you never know with me.

He becomes a vampire in the last quarter of the story or so. It takes some getting used to along with his new fire powers but turns out transforming into a giant wolf can be fun!

He stands at 4’10” in this form.

His soul mark is the storm hawks symbol of course, to not only tie him to his destiny but also to show his heroic nature and strong spirit.

Meet Bakari!

Bakari was a noble and beloved member of one of the first packs of vampires. He was charismatic and adventurous, often getting himself in trouble because of his daring and rebellious nature.

He was very popular but only one person ever caught his eye. A young vixen named Khepri.

She had fur that shimmered like the sun, and eyes as warm as honey. Their love was so pure and devoted that even the gods took notice.

But that’s a story for another time.
