i loved ur post about how cod fans have been treating the characters!! i found it insane how they were having a moral panic over makarov (is the cod fandom like one of the few fandoms that does this? lol) but it needed to be said… people are drawn to cod characters for many reasons and i’m sure it’s not because of “morals”

Thank you!! I was very nervous posting that, since I know parts of this fandom can get pretty aggressive about other opinions. I wasn’t trying to target or insult anyone with my statement, but there’s very clear double standards with characters!

I actually just made another post about this topic (sounds like self-promo I’m so sorry) because, yeah, this fandom can’t seem to understand that art isn’t always about good morals. Being sensitive and mindful about what you produce and engage with is very important, and doing your part to not be influenced by the problematic content that you consume is very important. However, all media is problematic in some way, especially COD (y’know, the military propaganda series). People need to be able to engage with media like this because, if everything is morally “pure,” then we lose out on important discussions about real-world issues, safe spaces for troubled folks, and lessons on media literacy.

I’ve talked about this and thought about this a lot in the past couple days. Like, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in the past 48 hours stepping back and looking at myself and my behavior in this fandom. I always try to be mindful, sensitive, and very careful with what I produce. That being said, I’m far from perfect. I have an ongoing fanfic for Makarov on my writing blog. Valeria is one of my favorite characters. I’m indifferent on Graves, but will gladly admit that he’s a very compelling villain and an interesting character.

Acknowledging that these problematic things are problematic isn’t saying that you can’t engage with them. You absolutely should engage with stuff like this if you so wish. The important thing to remember if you do choose to produce content of these characters, however, is that there’s nothing romantic in what they do, and they are based off very real issues in our world. Explore the different sides of them, enjoy them, but do not romanticize them.

A very good mindset that I’ve taken to heart is this: these people may be horrible, but they are still people. Humans are not one-dimensional beings. Explore the other sides of them. Humanize, but do not romanticize.

Sorry for the rambling, but thank you again for the response! People need to be kinder to each other and more mindful of the content they engage with, but that doesn’t equate to complete media purity.

If you’re shorter than him then be prepared for the occasional forehead kiss, if you’re taller than him then I hope you’re okay with having your face cradled so he can reach your forehead. Gaz: He’s just happy to be close to you whenever he can. That’s exactly the reason why you’ll be receiving lots and lots of pecks from him just about anywhere he can reach. You’ll see him try so hard to not smile, but fail eventually. It’s kind of amusing to watch how his eyes give him away, his lips curling up too. If you reassure him enough that you’re alright with him kissing you he’ll start slow and small, pecks on your cheek becoming the most common gesture afterwards. He’ll work himself up to kissing you on your lips eventually.

Soap: Very enthusiastic, gives you a kiss whenever he can. When he’s giving you a side-hug he’s likely to press a kiss to your temple, or just your head in general. He can get a bit loud, but forgive him for that, he’s just excited for you. Except when you’re down, then he’s more down to Earth and gentle.

Rodolfo: I’m not sure if it actually counts as a kiss, but his favorite form of one is rubbing your noses together. It’s actually extremely calming to him. He can’t really tell you too much about what he does, but at the very least, at the end of a mission, he has you to look forward to. Closes his eyes contently when you press your foreheads together. His kisses are usually very gentle, he doesn’t want to hurt you, but they do linger a bit. If he can, he’d love to hold you close and tuck your head under his chin afterwards, but if you’re too tall for that then he’s more than alright with simply guiding your face to the crook of his neck and taking in your scent. Loves physical affection, as mentioned before, but rarely asks for it. Please initiate it first, this man will fall even harder for you if you do.

Valeria: Won’t do anything in public, very much against PDA. The risks are too high. But when she knows that no one is around to see it but the two of you? She’s more likely to give you a kiss than a hug. Small pecks to tease you, long, passionate kisses to show you who really is in charge. Valeria will leave you breathless, making you yearn for more. Usually has that smug grin of his as well, especially if it makes you flustered. It doesn’t matter how tall you are, he will put his arm around your waist, maybe even pulling you onto his lap. Small pecks to your lips to tease, but he usually doesn’t want to hold back after some time. Will dip you when he gets the chance to and you don’t expect it. Graves also has a tendency to make his lips just barely brush yours, making you ask for it before he finally kisses you. Again, if any of those things fluster you, you’ll never see or hear the end of it. Likes to put his hand under your chin or on your cheek to guide your face.

Alex: So gentle about it. He’ll cradle your face before giving you a long and loving kiss. If his mustache tickles you he’ll laugh a bit, especially if you pull away giggling because of it. If he’s feeling especially playful he might kiss and nuzzle your neck to get you to laugh some more. But other than that, he loves kissing you as much as he loves being kissed by you. He’s fairly big on physical affection, giving and receiving. His eyes light up whenever you give him a small peck on the cheek. It fuels him, it keeps him going throughout the day. If he’s feeling especially lovey-dovey while you do it he’ll rest his head on your shoulder, looking at you with such big adoring eyes. This man is smitten. Farah: Whenever she kisses you, there’s a chance it might be her last time, she’s lost too many people to still wholly believe in an eternity like that. But even so, she gives it her all. She, too, wants you to know just how much she loves you, how much you mean to her. She fights for her people, but she also fights for you and to keep you with her. She’s a strong woman, but the smallest tint of sadness in her eyes doesn’t go unnoticed by you either. Likes getting a forehead kiss from you more than she would like to admit, it keeps her going. She can lead many people for the liberation of Urzikstan, but it’s important that she knows you’re there for her as well. It’s the small things, holding her hand, kissing her temple, rubbing her back, but she appreciates it more than you’ll ever know.

Laswell: Not very big on PDA either. The less attention she attracts in public the better. She will be very domestic in private, though. Exchanging smiles as you’re preparing some food in the kitchen, with her finishing up cutting a vegetable. If she passes you she’ll sometimes give you a small kiss. Price, unlike the others, was more interested in your abilities Why are you lying? he had read your files. All he could say that is he was impressed. He tried getting you on his team, unfortunately, you had taken two years off the military to heal from your last mission.

He had heard from Lasweel, that you looked like a mummy when the doctors were done. They say it was a miracle that you survived, sadly, the scars will be forever graved on your body, just the memories in your mind.

Now you were back, with a few rumours lit up like fire in the woods about you. They were all absurd of course, yet some seem to believe them, resulting in them avoiding you like the plague, but you didn't seem to mind. Actually, he had noticed how agitated you become when you share the same space as someone else.

You are always tensed and on guard, whenever someone was talking to you, the only person who you seemed to ease around was Soap, who the moment notice your packs accidentally when you were training together, was stuck like the glue to your side.

You never pushed him, you responded to every question he asked, like patient parents with their children, and somehow you were able to understand his weird choice of words, and even then you spoke few words, only listening and humming along the way.

That gave Gaz some courage, to try and talk to, and boy did he feel bad!

Gaz was one of the people who believed the absurd rumours. He found them to be real. You never tried to prove him wrong, until, he sat by your side, as you prepare something to eat.

Soap had practically dragged him, to meet his crush you. For a movie night. You didn't speak much, you just listen attentively to each word that comes out of Soap's mouth, and he could a crossed smile, even it was small each time Soap throw a joke, no matter how bad it was.

He watched you all night eyes only focusing on you. In his mind, he was watching waiting for one wrong move, while his heart was memorizing each part of, each move and the reason behind it. Maybe that's how he knew you well.

You didn't do anything that night that proves that you were the person in the rumours. You weren't arrogant, and even with the little emotion you had shown, he was able to conclude that you were a good person, just broken.

That's how you become close with Gaz, not like how you were with Soap but enough for you to salute him or pat his shoulder or head. Which always flustered him.

A few minutes into the fight with your friend and you already tackled them. You, on top of them, hand behind their back comfortable setting on their back.

They start wiggling under you, and for a moment 1-4-1 halted in their movement eyes intensely watching your breast bounce.

Synopsis: Valeria has her Las Almas Cartel. You are one of the Los Vaqueros. Unfortunately, the two of you are twins. So, one day when TF 141 comes to arrest El Sin Nombre, you are confronted with your own family. It will be a hell of a ride to tell your mother, when both of you visit her for dinner together.

It wasn’t really a pleasant situation how you found out that Valeria – your own fucking twin – is the leader of the Las Almas cartel. Alejandro and Rudy had a long conversation who is actually going to tell you in person, because they knew you would be mad. In the end they just flipped a coin. Alejandro lost unfortunately. It’s an understatement that you were fuming with anger.

“VALERIA!”, you burst into the conversation between Graves and your sister. “You two know each other?”, Phillip looks at you with dislike since you interrupted him. “Ah, we are even closer than that. Same bloodline, eh?”, Valeria winks at you.

Alejandro and Rudy have a hard time to hold you back as you curse a whole lexicon of Spanish swear words over her. “That’s how you greet your long-lost twin, (Y/N)?”, she still knows how to push your buttons. Such a sibling thing of her.

“You disgrace our family. Father would turn around in shame in his grave because of you, pendejo”, you reply playing the same game she does. Valeria leans forward now the one who swears in Spanish; ready to pounce any second.

Graves puts his hand on her shoulder to keep her in the chair. “Get your fucking hand of her, gringo!”, you yell at Graves hating him from the second you first saw him. Valeria leans back in her seat. Something like proud shines in her eyes, “See? Don’t fuck with my little Doberman. I’m well protected.”

For a second your hand curls around the handgun by your side, then you raise your hands in a defensive gesture, “Tell them what you know, Valeria.” With that you turn around to leave before your short fuse will blow up finally.

“Fine, I will. We see each other Thursday for dinner at Mother’s place~”, she yells so you still can hear her words. You don’t turn around or stop. This is going to be the worst week of your whole damn life.

Valeria called you her little Doberman for most of your life, since you were always there to protect her. She is actually the older one for about a minute, but you took your task of keeping your twin safe very seriously. Both of you are very dangerous soldiers. Back when you served together side by side, you were a dream team. Until the day she betrayed you and the army.

Valeria would never admit it out loud that she actually missed having you by her side. She is also a bit jealous how Alejandro and Rudy held you back. It’s like they are your family now. Well, she can understand it after what she has done.

After Graves’ betrayal you didn’t want to be on the team with Alejandro and Gaz to secure Valeria. But what can you say? She is still family. You hate how proud and confident she looks as you put her into the car to bring her to the next prison. “I will be free in 24 hours”, Valeria smiles at you innocently. Both of you know that she tells the truth.

Thursday arrived. You hoped with all you have that Valeria would not be at the dinner with your mother, but no one heard your silent prayers. Your mother opens the door more than happy to see you alive and in one piece, “Come in!”

There she is; sitting at her old place at the dinning table with a glass of wine in her hand. Valeria opens her mouth to greet you, but you raise your hand to stop her right away, “Don’t talk to me, pendejo.”

“What are those manners, (Y/N)?!”, your mother puts her hand onto her chest. “Yes, my little Doberman. Why did you arrest me?”, Valeria smirks knowing exactly how to turn a little flame into a breaching fire. Family is the highest priority for your mother.

“You are fucking El Sin Nombre! I’m militaria! I can’t let you go because we are family!”, you sit down opposite of Valeria. Your mother watches the two of you with furrowed eyebrows, “You arrested Valeria? And you are the cartel leader? Dios mio!”

Your sister leans forward to emphasize her statement, “I just do what it needs to protect you two!” For a second you can see the old Valeria sitting there. “You almost shot me last week”, a slight smirk appears on your lips.

Your mother gasps loudly, “VALERIA! THIS IS YOUR FAMILY!” Your twin rolls her eyes annoyed, “I did miss, right? If I wanted to shoot you, I would have done it.” Laughing you grab the wine bottle from the table, “You were never as good at shooting as me, Val. A few things will never change apparently.”

In the same moment both of you put your handguns onto the table, showing each other no mercy. Just like the fucking old times. Neither of you would hesitate for a second to pull the trigger. It has always been like that.

“NO HANDGUNS ON THE TABLE!!”, your mother yells through the entire room. Both of you flinch with the intensity she still rules the house. “Sorry, mother”, you mumble under your breath and holster your gun quickly. Valeria does the same without any apology just like always. There only two or three things she is actually sorry about.

“If you are going to kill each other, at least after eating! I cooked all day long for you”, your mother shuffles into the kitchen.

Valeria and you keep shooting each other death glares over your plates. When your mother doesn’t look you kick each other underneath the table. Neither of you is going to back down like a true Doberman.

The rest of the dinner actually runs way smoother than thought. Of course, both of you help your mother with the dishes. Your mother puts on her favorite record as she swells in the happiness to have you both back safely.

“You missed a spot”, Valeria exclaims and points her finger at the plate in your hand. “Shut up, it’s clean!”, you still try to suppress your anger at her, but she keeps pushing you. Probably hoping to find your breaking point.

“I will tell Mom that it’s not clean”, she grins at you. Without a word you slap her hand hard so she lets go of the plate. It shatters on the floor into thousand pieces. “MOM! VALERIA BROKE ONE OF THE PLATES!”, you return the winning smile at her.

“No! I didn’t! You did that!”, Valeria tries to explain as your mother comes into the kitchen to find the mess on the floor. “Dios mio! Those are the good plates, Valeria”, she leans down to pick up the shards. Smirking you flip Valeria off with your soapy hands. Of course, behind the back of your mother. She would get a heart attack for sure.

Your twin rolls her eyes annoyed and throws the wet rag into your direction. “No fighting in the house, you two! You can beat each other outside. Do what you have to do to get out your anger”, your mother shushes both of you out of the kitchen. Valeria takes her chance to trip you on the way towards the front door.

“FUCKING HELL! You make me go haywire!”, you raise your hand to smack her square in the face. Suddenly your mother grabs your ear and Valeria’s to bring you down onto her level. She will always have enough strength left to lecture you two.

“I want you to get things right. Like I said: fight, shoot or whatever. I don’t care, but no killing each other. I will see both of you next Thursday to dinner again, comprende?”, she releases both of you with a slight smile on her lips, “Great! Have a nice evening. Love you!”

Without a further word you stumble outside with Valeria right behind you. For a moment you stare at each other, ready to blame the other one for this mess. Valeria starts first to laugh and you can’t help but join her.

“Well, that was fun. See you next Thursday, my little Doberman!”, she makes her way towards the black car that waits already for her. You don’t want to admit it, but you kind of look forward to it.

John “Captain” Price

Will set up just the perfect spot, perfect lighting and the perfect ring for you.

When he hears the word no his heart will immediately shatter. Yet he will understand or will try to understand.

Asks you why in the most respectful way and what can he do to make you yes in the future.

Still your boyfriend even though it hurts him not call you his wife.

It becomes obvious he can’t take the heartbreak and breaks things off with you. Try’s his best to still at least end it in good terms.

Realizes his mistake after a few weeks of being apart and begs to be with you again.

“Y/n, please..im sorry that I broke our relationship off..” Price says holding your hands tightly so you can’t escape his grip. “..Please take me back, Im a fucking mess without you.. please..”

“..Okay..” You mumble looking at him slightly scared of his behavior. “..Just let my hands go it’s hurting me.”

Kyle “Gaz” Garrick

Sets up a romantic dinner with you, has everything planned all the waiters and half the restaurant involved.

When he hears the words no, the people scream thinking you said yes, but soon realize you didn’t.

Things become hella awkward in the restaurant and you leave quickly.

He will chase after you and grab your hand and start asking why you said no.

Will start making a slight big deal about it and become embarrassed when you tell him you’re not ready yet.

He will break off things immediately.

“Y/n! Why? I seriously.. made it the best way to propose..” Gaz says holding your arm tightly. “You know what.. maybe we shouldn’t even be together anymore..I’m sorry.”

“..Gaz I wasn’t ready..” You mumble softly as he lets go of you and walks away. “Gaz..!”

John “Soap” Mactavish

He proposes on a beautiful night on a beach.

Surprise to see you said no and respects your choice.

Apologizes for proposing to you and try’s to make things normal.

Feels that the tension is too much and walks away from you after a couple minutes.

Too worried about the whole thing and texts you instead of talking about the problem face to face.

Soap: Y/n, maybe.. we should stop seeing each other. I don’t understand what made you say no.

Y/n: where are you soap?

The recipient you are sending to has chosen not to receive messages.

Simon “Ghost” Riley

Sets it up when you open the desert that he made for you.

Remains hella silent when you say no and get up from the table.

Grabs your hand tightly with force and stares at you for a long time.

Lets you go after realizing some fear in your eyes and tells you to get out.

You do as told and leave his house immediately, only to hear a loud crash of plates in the house.

Doesn’t break up with you but becomes hella more distant. All the trust and things done together mean nothing to him now.

Will be more cold towards to you when you try to be lovely with him.

You break things off after a while he doesn’t like that. Making him show up late in your apartment.

“Ghost..did you break in?” You mumble softly seeing the lock pick in his hand. “..please leave my apparent..”

“..Mhm..” Ghost hums looking your sleepy face. “Go back to bed.”

Alejandro Vargas

Sets up the most romantic and over the top proposal.

His smile fades when you say no making him drop the ring.

Asks you why multiple times in Spanish and shakes his head in disappointment.

Torn between asking you again or letting you go.

Asks you why in later following days until you finally snap and tell him you’re not ready.

Feels hurt by your response after years of dating.

Decides it’s best to not be together and breaks it off and completely disappears into his work.

“Alejandro I’m just not ready..” You say handing him back the rose. “I’m sorry..”

“..Okay..” He mumbles before walking away. “Adios Mi amor.”

Rodolfo “Rudy” Parra

Same with Alejandro, he wants to make sure you’re treated like a queen.

When he hears the words no from you mouth he goes into a complete meltdown.

Begs you to tell him what he did wrong to make you say no.

Begs you to marry him and he will treat you way better than before if you do.

Alejandro has to stop him from becoming a crazy man and takes him away ending the relationship at the moment.

“¡Por que!” Rodolfo says looking a you, tears running down his face. “What did I do wrong? I I can treat you better! I swear I’ll treat you way better!”

“Rudy!” Alejandro yells pulling him away from you. “I’m sorry y/n..uh.. you should go home..”

You give a nod as Alejandro pulls Rodolfo away from everyone sight.

Valeria “El sin nombre” Garza

Sets the best fucking thing she can think of which is at a party she’s throwing.

Glares at you when you say no answer gives a cold dry laugh thinking your joking.

Notices you aren’t and drags you away with the guests.

Demands to know why you say no.

Laughs when you tell her your not ready.

Insults you telling you someone else would love to be in your place. Wishing to be next to the best damn girlfriend.

She then forces to put the ring on or else she would kill you and replace you easily.

“What do you mean not ready?” Valeria hisses at you holding your arm tightly. “Do you know how many damn people would love to be in your spot!? You better put this fucking ring on before I kill you here right now and replace you like that.”

“..Okay..” You mumble softly in tears as she forcefully puts the ring on you.

König

Sets it all up at his home, with some of the other members and close friends.

When you say no the who the room goes silent. Hella solent that puts König in the spot, he becomes anxious and leaves the room.

Doesn’t bother stopping you from leaving the home.

Shuts himself out for days and ignores your calls and messages apologizing.

Finally has some strength to see you face to face..way late at night.

Knock a on your apartment door and breaks things off.

“Y/n.. This isn’t working out.” König says looking at your sleepy face. “Bye.”

“What..” You mumble as he walks away quickly. “..König..?”

Phillip Graves

Sets up a somewhat romantic date. Doesn’t go over board but gets you a nice ring.

Becomes silent when you say no and stares at you.

Gets up and throws the ring away in front of you then walks back to the table.

Crosses his arms and glares at you until finally asking you why.

Laughs when you say you aren’t ready and shakes his head finding humor in your “childish” behavior.

Gets up from the table and makes you pay for the bill then ghosts you right after that.

“Not ready?” Graves gives a long laugh making others look at the table. “Jesus..what a dumb reason.”

“Graves!” You hiss as he leaves the restaurant. “Mother fucker..”

Summoner AU Ghost x Soap x König (Part 2)

(Part 1)

There is this local summoning community, kind of a very loosely associated circle of people who are working with the occult. They are, for the most part, fiercely competitive and manipulative. Everyone tries to get information out of the other people, giving back as little as possible.

Valeria is known for ending up with peoples notes and research after they die under mysterious circumstances, presumably murdered by entities they had in their service for years and years without any problems. The circle suspects her and is wairy, but they can't really prove anything.

Shepherd is a nasty piece of work, always trying to set himself up as a coven leader, trying to establish an archive under his control with all of the knowledge they have. He is power hungry and uses demons to further his political and social sway. But he gets shit done and has been in the game for longer than most, so the other summoners do not downright disrespect him.

And Graves? Graves is sucking up to him, rubbing shoulders with any person who can benefit his motives. Shepherd has taken a shine to him as well, because he basically does as he is told, no questions asked. Soap keeps away from him as much as possible because crossing Phillip means messing with more powerful people than himself and he is basically just there to learn more.

But almost all summoners have one thing in common: no matter if they keep familiars, temporary servants or entities of any form, they treat them like shit. Trapping them in objects, using cattle prods to whip them into shape.

It is common knowledge that your demons will kill you, if you let the control slip, if you untighten the leash, so nobody does, there have been too many cautionary tales. People ripped apart, eaten, strung up on their own ceiling.they tell each other “It is like dealing with a rabid dog. If you need to keep it, you do not coddle it, you keep it locked up, its fangs away from your throat.

So naturally, resident sunshine Johnny MacTavish sticks out like a sore thumb. He is happy to share small tidbits, mostly stuff he is particularly passionate about. He usually doesn't brag unless someone prompts him or laughs about his accomplishments. He is notorious for having things blow up in his face, but he usually walks away from it with just a few bruises, head still firmly attached to his shoulders. Everybody knows he messes with forces who seem way too big for such a young and inexperienced summoner. It makes him a liability and a risk to be around. But sometimes, on the rare occasions he shows off his summoned entities, they are baffled. He shouldn't be able to keep such a diverse and strong portfolio of spirits.

He also rotates them at an alarming speed, never binding entities for very long. It is honestly a mystery what he is up to.

Everyone who's a practitioner is like "Soap is a fucking terrible demon handler, none of this is safe, he'll get himself killed! In fact, how hasn't he already gotten himself killed already?" And Soap's only secret is that he treats the entities with respect and kindness like a good fucking cookie and they wife him

He just rolls up with Ghost and König at some point, they are visible, following his every step, silent and menacingly. And PHILLIP out of all people is practically salivating over Soaps entities and asks how he „keeps them enslaved“

And Soap is like: „Uuuuhm? Enslaved? I do not keep them enslaved?“

Graves just rolls his eyes and is like: „You know exactly what I mean, it must be a hell of a workload to keep them docile like that, what do you use?!” Soap looks at him as if he is stupid (which he is, it’s Graves we are talking about) and tells him that usually, he just „asks them nicely“ and when they refuse he drops it. But they seldom do and if they do, he asks if they would like to tell him their reasoning. And usually they have thought of something he wasn’t aware of so it makes perfect sense why they refuse him. And even if they don’t, wouldn’t it ruin their friendly relationship if he made them do something? He is an adult, HE can handle being told no.

Graves is fucking livid because he thinks Soap is fucking with him and implies he is stupid.

Hid daddy will hear about this.

oh i’ve got plenty of headcanons. some i won’t go into too much detail about because it would dipping into spoiler territory, but here ya go:

gaz was a big momma's boy as a kid, and when she died so soon after his father it left him with a lot of big, confusing feelings for an 8-9 year old

he was angry at price for a long time after his parents' deaths and it wasn't until well into his teenage years that he started warming up to price

farah was adopted after gaz, when her parents were killed during price's and the 141's first go around with makarov when they were both building their "empires" (we'll go more into that in the next few chapters)

gaz and farah took to each other easily, often finding comfort in their similar struggles and complicated feelings for price

price does everything he can to help gaz and farah remember their parents, mostly out of respect and love for them and their parents, but also due to that quiet guilt that he's the reason their parents are gone

gaz goes back on forth on calling price dad, but always refers to farah as his sister

farah does not call price dad, it’s always either old man or price

farah does think of gaz as a brother, but can’t bring herself to actually call him that because it makes her think of hadir

farah and gaz are best friends through and through tho

price cannot visit their parents' graves with them, he doesn't feel he has a right to, and if he goes with one of them he’ll wait in the car until they’re done to go to the grave himself

price has talked about canary to gaz’s dad’s grave

i hc price's favorite color as blue in general, hence all the blue he puts his women in

there is a difference between the blues when he gets canary a dress vs when valeria makes her one

valeria's come in various shades of blue while price's are always the same shade of blue as his eyes

he is absolutely doing it as a way to mark his territory

graves loves his women in gold and jewels and designer, it's a way to show off his wealth and status and how much he spoils them

it's all part of a carefully put together show to make himself look good

makarov does not give a fuck about any of that

his women are on display as a way to taunt and tempt his enemies because they know better than to touch what's his and he drapes them in blood-colored fabric as warning

price had a playboy phase after his (amicable) divorce from kate and it only got worse when gaz’s parents died

he never loved or really cared for any of his significant others, knowing most were just after his money, status, or bragging rights - they used him and he used them as a stress relief

when gaz moved in to the manor, he tried a few short-lived relationships that never lasted more than a few months

he stopped completely when farah moved in

price tried dating once or twice when gaz and farah were older and things were more stable but it was never anything serious until canary

price has never been in love until canary

price, nik, and gaz's dad were bffs with farah's dad joining later, and nik loves gaz and farah like his own

at one point, shepherd was included in that little group

alex and farah had a romcom-esque meet-cute at a 141 gala where alex was a guest of kate's

alex fell first, farah fell harder

price, and the rest of the 141, are good friends with kate's wife, but they don't see her often since she's not involved in their business

kate tries to keep her wife separate from that side of her life for her own safety

roach, könig, and horangi live in a three-bedroom apartment because the third bedroom was originally ghost's

outside of soap, ghost is probably closest to roach and sees him as a younger brother

no one except ghost knows how old roach is, he changes the answer every time someone asks him

roach was not born mute, it happened during a bar fight where he shielded ghost from someone with a broken bottle

ale/val/rudy have known each other since they were kids

rudy always had feelings for alejandro but never said anything, content to be friends

alejandro and valeria dated first, they broke up when valeria and alejandro disagreed with how to run the vaqueros

alejandro and rudy started dating in that time, but rudy broke up with him when valeria came back and rudy felt like alejandro wasn't over her

it was a lot of drama and feelings being shoved down that culminated in one night of drinking, arguing about emotions, and eventually a threesome

the three have been together ever since

alejandro and rudy do not necessarily approve of what valeria does with her own business - she takes a very jason todd approach to it all (aka "you can't stop crime, but you can control it") - but she does get positive results so the arguments are few and far between

rudy is a doctor first and foremost, but he's always enjoyed cooking (something something cutting into meat the same way he'd cut into a body something something) and it was his own suggestion for him to be the club chef

valeria never intended to do fashion design, but she enjoys the finer things and has specific tastes for how she wants to look

since every tailor/designer she had hired eventually ended up disappointing her, she took up the job herself

running a club was nik's idea, and it took him a few months and a lot of badgering to convince price to go along with it

price agreed only because 13-year-old gaz mumbled that "it'd be kinda cool" one night at dinner

the singer position at the club was made specifically for farah because she found comfort singing songs her mother used to sing to her and hadir when they were little

on special occasions, soap will take over at the bar and alex will get on stage and play guitar alongside farah as she sings

soap was gaz’s friend that he introduced to the club and he became fast friends with everyone

eventually price hired him after recognizing how smart and perceptive soap was

soap is in his position for a reason, the guests are more than happy to ogle the handsome server with too many buttons undone and not notice that he's watching them back with a far sharper eye

soap and ghost were supposed to be a one-time thing meant for stress relief but ghost caught feelings and kept coming back

it took ghost ages to admit he cared for soap and when the realization hit, it scared the hell out of him but roach convinced him to talk it out with soap

soap is the only person ghost would ever disobey price for, but he would never admit that

alex gushes to gaz about farah nonstop and talks about how he knew he was going to marry her the moment they met

gaz was happy for them, but he never really got it...until he met tabby

nik sometimes gets too drunk and reminisces about his wife back home

no one knows if he actually has a wife, or where “back home” is, his stories are all the same, but the little details change every time

könig and horangi were together before they joined the 141, and könig moved in with roach and ghost completely unaware that they worked for price

the 141 refers to kortac as "könig's people" because it's a far more complicated system of contacts and connections that would take a week to describe

ghost’s entire spine pops when he gets out of bed in the morning, and it freaks soap out

roach was a track star in highschool

price has the highest kill count in the 141, soap and valeria have a not-so-friendly competition going for second place

canary got her nickname from her father

graves did have romantic feelings for canary at one point, but that quickly got overshadowed by his want for adler to recognize and approve of him

adler only approved canary and graves’s marriage because canary asked him to - the contract was his one condition for that approval

russell adler died two days after canary and graves got married

graves only has two preferences when it comes to his women: rich & powerful

price cares about his people, but it borders on a possessiveness that he keeps very well hidden

price has built a very strict set of rules about who his people kill and how far they can and cannot go

he will end business relationships if someone steps out of line

valeria has come close on several occasions

makarov does not care - he will kill men, women, children, old, young, pregnant, etc. blood is blood, it doesn't matter who it comes from

that’s not say price wouldn’t do what needs to be done to protect his people

price cares about family above all else, and he will go scorched earth on anyone who would dare to threaten or hurt them
