Looking through the legends, Invasion establishes a few parent/child pairs of characters. Barrin and Rayne get paired with the Hannah card, Karn gets paired with Blind Seer (who is Urza), Crosis is Chromium and Piru's son (Piru won't get her card until MH2), and Rith is the daughter of Palladia-Mors. If we look outside legends, all the Shivan Dragons are descendents of Vaevictis Asmadi, so we had a possible nonlegendary parent/child pairing by Legends.
But Barrin/Hanna is first of those. (At least with Urza having a card called Urza.)
