:(((( did something happen to that all-women's village that made jewelry, Umoja? Their entire website is out of stock and their Instagram last posted in 2020. I've been meaning to buy from them for YEARS now and I think I missed my opportunity...

“You do know there are villages run entirely by women that currently exist in the world, right? Those are far more indicative of what female only societies would look like than some stupid gameshow.”
Go on, show me these completely female run villages. Let’s see how advanced and groundbreaking they are, as well as how beneficial to women they are in the year 2024. It’s funny how you’re completely changing the subject and thinking you’re being slick. The original idea was men and women being taken away from the comfortable society they’d always to known to survive in groups of men and women respectively. And the women failed. It’s not just that sample of 10 women either. It’s a consistent pattern. But I’m sure you’ll come up with all sorts of excuses.
There are functioning female separatist communities all over the US, some of which have existed since the early 70s. I've been to one down in Florida and it was great. It's very strange to me that you claim to not be a misogynist then also claim women couldn't possibly survive without men. What exactly do you think men do that we are totally incapable of doing? Manual labor? Growing food?
Obviously not. So, what is it? Why are female only societies doomed to fail?
Umoja is a village worth looking into and the one I was referring to in particular when answering your last ask btw. It was formed because of the relentless sexual violence these women and girls face from men, incidentally.
(Btw-if you want to continue this conversation it had better be from your blog because I don't argue with anons as a general rule due to it being fucking annoying. Quit hiding and stand behind your words).
Also "It's a consistent pattern" no it isn't lol. I watch survivalist shows all the time and the only pattern I notice is women being better at it more than half the time. Also as someone correctly pointed out on my last post reality TV is notoriously scripted. It's not a legitimate source to begin with.

your idea about female separatism or superiority is delusional. Women are not inferior but you’re not superior either. put all feminists on an island on their own for a year. See what happens. There was a show actually, the women and men were put on the other sides of an island. All the women had to do was find the men and they quit after one day while the men made spears, houses and had a great time dancing and singing. And don’t just dismiss it saying it’s only a few women blah blah bc you know damn well if it was the other way round you’d be using it as proof women generally are better or superior in some ways.
Female separatism isn't a hypothetical thing lol. It has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen. There's larger-scale examples like Umoja, the famous village in Kenya where men are strictly forbidden, and Jinwar in Syria, another female separatist village inspired by Umoja that began construction/planning in 2016. If you're looking for more local examples, womyn's land and off-the-grid women's communes have been a thing ever since the peak of second-wave feminism in the '70s. These communities are/were self-sustaining, growing their own produce and constructing their own buildings. You can find the tag “womyn's land” on my page if you're interested (there's also Wikipedia).
I wish you provided the name and details of this show you saw – not knowing the context means I can't comment on its validity lol. I guess that was intentional on your part.
Regardless, female separatism doesn't harm or affect men in any way, so there's no reason for you (assuming you are a man) to concern yourself with it. If we are delusional, incompetent, and unable to survive on our own, that's entirely our own problem. Shouldn't you guys just be grateful that us feminist types want to separate ourselves from mainstream society?

Umoja (unity):
Umoja, the first principle of Kwanzaa, is a powerful concept emphasizing unity within the family, community, nation, and race. The principle, pronounced oo-mo'-ja, is celebrated on the first day of Kwanzaa, which begins on December 26th. It embodies the idea of striving for and maintaining unity, a key aspect of the holiday's focus on family and community bonds.
The Dagi Knot, a Pan-African symbol of unity found in various African cultures such as the Bushongo, Hausa, and Yoruba, is associated with Umoja. This symbol reflects the principle's significance in fostering a sense of togetherness and solidarity.
During the celebration of Umoja, the first candle lit is the black one, representing both the principle of unity and the African-American people. This act of lighting the candle is not only symbolic but also a reaffirmation of the values and goals of the African-American community.

just wanted to share one of my favourite documentaries on what i think are some of the worlds coolest women
"amongst the samburu tribes of northern kenya, where the desert merges with the footbills of mount kenya, women have been living under a harsh patriatchal system for as long as they can remember. female genital mutialition has been one of the most important rituals amongst the samburu for generations. once circumcised a girl can be given away in an arranged marriage to start her own family. this practice has seen girls as young as 12 yet married to men old enough to be their grandfathers..... 25 years ago a group of women led an exodus and took matters into their own hands to free themselves, and started a movement in the samburu region creating the first villages in which no men were allowed. the establishment of umoja was a inspiration to many women in neighboring villages who have risen to take control of their governments."

when we talk about "matriarchy", do you see it as a feminine equivalent of the patriarchy (eg a hypothetical society where women would oppress men), or a society more centered around motherhood with relative equality between the sexes? the latter is sometimes used by anthropologists, leading some of them to consider the Mosuo as matriarchal (even though men have power too).
anthropologists consider the mosuo matrilineal, not matriarchal. the current majority belief is that there is no current evidence of any matriarchy that exists. that doesn't mean that they never occurred, because they could have been cultures with no written language, they could have been peaceful cultures wiped out by violent patriarchal groups (like the minoans potentially were), and most importantly, they could be not as we currently think them. when anthropologists look for matriarchies, they are looking for an equivalent to a patriarchy, but it is fully possible that when women are considered the heads of a community, they do not oppress or are above men, but instead create an egalitarian society, also not having single rulers like queens and chieftesses, making modern determining of sex balance difficult. so, a matriarchy equivalent to a patriarchy just isn't likely (also, men are stronger, if they were faced with violence or threat as a group, they'd easily revolt). even the majority female villages in africa that are inspired by the umoja, but allow husbands that agree to the rules, do not oppress the men or treat them poorly, the men are treated well.

What’s going on in the world is female separatism, something y’all are hellbent on destroying in the West. Places like the village of Umoja exist for a reason. Movements like South Korean 4B exist for a reason. Meanwhile, we try it and are accused of being discriminatory and told that we need to teach men how not to harass us 💀
….yes we are trying to destroy the segregation in the west because it is no longer benefitting us. Noah fence but if you’re in a part of the world that needs it, mind your own feminism in your own sphere of the world. Idk if you can read my description or not by it’s says “american” and we are talking about chess, originally. Segregation of the sexes was a stepping stone not the end goal.

"Village with no men"은 Ninson의 여러 사진 시리즈 중 하나입니다.
