1. i mentioned about having medical issues and some people got concerned so i just want to quickly explain the thing yk; in short it turns out having anxiety can cause heart arrhythmia ????? which can be like kinda dangerous;; but like in most cases it's fairly harmless so i should be alright :] !! still have to go check it out at the hospital (which i have been sorta putting off for a while bc yk. anxiety,, lol) but like other than it stressing me out a bit, everything is relatively fine :]

it has lore with rape and stuff in it because yeah it's engaging in the long myth history of the world and there's weird shit in mythology that's fun, modern fantasy stopped engaging with the history of myth and started it over and now it's only in dialogue with the past 30 years of dungeons and dragons and that's boring as FUCK,

but like my standards have improved. morrowind basic bitch too often. morrowind does "this is the species called 'black people'" and that's where it goes "uhhhhhhhhhh." because like holy shit all the cool redguard lore, most of that was added in afterwards and in TR and shit like ooooh buddy

there's so much potential in the sidelore and fans have added fun shit like sloads (giant necromancy slugs with living airships like hell yeah okay that's neat) and the 20 khajiiti forms and TR is supposed ot make the telvanni weird again so like hell yeah but

god so much of morrowind deep down really is just part of the ES tradition of "this species of people are Africans. this species of people are Romans. this species of people are the Japanese." and while it's not as bad as in Oblivion so much of morrowind feels its age where parts are phoned in, where parts are taken for granted, where, like

you know when you're writing you can fall into the trap of writing in stock phrases? so that everything you write is just something someone else said already, cut up and put together? it was a dark and stormy night but like for real using nothing but preconstructed phrases like legos? no real thought or effort put into how you're making the words go?

Human faces and heads 😭😭 My art styles very mismashed and inconsistent on the finer points, mainly bc I have awful spatial sense for art I've got a strong 2D image in my head and drawing is just me feverishly trying to make it Feel right more than look right. Faces are the HARDEST for it. I have the hardest time visualizing them and drawing them which sucks bc I drawing expressions. I don't think I've ever settled into a good bad proportion animally vibe my anatomy has with faces yet haha. I find it much smoother to bullshit anatomy in my specific way with human bodies and then even easier is creatures. Animal anatomy is where I'm 1900th the most comfortable winging.

6) Subconscious inspirations

So many it's crazy. Deltora quest (book and anime are a hugeeeeeee one) dex Hamilton alien entomologist, wracking my brain for more uhhhhhhhhhh. Oh watching Evangelion as a preteen absolutely altered my brain in some way if that's anything. The 2009 astro boy film absolutely impacted my writing, didn't hold back on the emotional conflicts and death at all it rules I'm very fond of it.

Erm. Ranma 1/2, Guillermo del torro films. Card captor Sakura. Honestly too many to pick my brain for I couldn't have inhaled film and cartoons and library anime dvds faster as a kid and up to current day.

12) easiest body part to draw

Hmm I'd say anything around the shoulder / torso area. Idk that's the most animally part of the human body to me when it's contorted it's the easiest to do without thinking.

Look up tutorials for coloring techniques!

I've also learned the beauty of redrawing other artwork when I can't think of something original to draw, but have the urge to draw.

Now, let me clarify--I mean like, famous artwork. Not a fellow internet artist's work--that's more on par with stealing? I mean for fandom purposes--there's nothing wrong with redrawing a show's official art, because odds are when people see your redraw, they are more than likely aware that you redrew it. Also noting that it's a redraw is good anyway.

When I'm really starved for inspiration and just can't get creative and think of something, I have started finding panels that I really like, and either redrawing them with the characters that they already contain, OR what I have had fun doing lately is redrawing specific manga panels but with different characters!

Also just because my art roots are traditional, I'd say not to lose that skill if you find yourself doing more digital. Don't forget to pick up a real pencil every so often, don't lose your traditional skills.

If you've never done traditional then, well, that's fine. I just hate the idea of losing a skill I once had, so there's that advice.

When coloring--have fun with colors. I, personally, hate coloring skin. I hate using skin colors because I'm afraid of making people too light, too dark, too much pink or yellow toned or whatever. So if you're like that...just use non-natural colors lol. I do it a lot. Sometimes Tomura gets blue skin, sometimes he gets red skin, sometimes he gets green skin, sometimes purple lol. Don't let yourself feel bound by colors.

The author of D.Gray-Man, Katsura Hoshino, is a heavy influence on my coloring style because she just does whatEVER she wants with colors. I've decided that I prefer to do the same thing, and it's worked out quite well for me--made me enjoy art more.

I think I got a bit tangential here and didn't really give any useful tips...lol. But I'm always willing to try if you specify.

23: i'm so used to my own idiosyncrasies that identifying strange habits is hard lmao. i make a lot of weird noises!! i try to keep it to myself but if i get excited or whatever i'll like,,, make this grinding noise??? and i have a lot of weird little phrases that will get stuck in my head, or that i just physically have to say out loud in certain situations! (honestly face masks have been a life saver as far as this is concerned because now i can just mutter "oh dick" or some random german sentence under my breath after fucking something up and no one has to know!!!!)

29: oooh!! i think i'm exceptionally easy to bond with lmao. just,,, talking about blorbos and stuff (either having someone tell me about theirs or letting me yell about mine for a while), also talking about/sharing music!! and activity-wise i don't think there's anything better for the social animal in me than playing video games with people. whether that's jack box with a big group, or stardew, or just co-gaming and playing separate games while hanging out i think there's nothing better for the soul tbh

58: four??? yeesh uhhh idk if i would call it a talent, but i very much enjoy writing and i think that's neat. oh! i think i'm pretty good at socializing (in that like,, it's a thing that takes a lot of brain power and has been a Journey for me and so i'm always happy when i can manage to have a normal and pleasant conversation with someone lmao. also working in customer service it's just something that's really handy at the moment). i like to think i'm fairly emotionally intelligent lol? idk if that counts as a talent either. boy i sure do like to think i can be funny sometimes so that'll be my fourth one lmao

66: i think my favorite flower is probably lilies of the valley! there was this bush outside of my childhood home inside of which my siblings and i created a little hideout and the path was surrounded on both sides with lilies of the valley. also magnolia flowers! partially because of gang of youths and partially because there have been magnolia trees in a few cool places throughout my life and they've left a good impression

88: greatest wish is intense ough,,, i think just to feel fulfilled and feel supported/surrounded by a good community! i'm at the point in my life where i'm just striving for stability and a lil comfort ig lol

98: this is hard because i don't think i have favorite eras as much as i have favorite little pockets. it could easily be argued that bronze age greece should be up there, for sure, but i think i'm mostly interested in the fantastical/mythological elements of it. i really like pirates! but i'm not necessarily a fan of the early 1700s in general lol. i also saw you said you like the victorian period and i have to agree!! cowboys and gothic vibes in one time period?? impeccable vibes, and spiritualisms popularity during this time period has always been something that's fascinated me! mostly i just like bits of history that remind me that humans have always been the same kinda goofy guys, i think it's neat

Something about the light is fascinating, but Wille can’t say what as they stand there. They’re not even aware of it, really, just a looping thought of <em>’I need…’</em> playing in their head amid the panicked silence of their mind.

Valentine's Day Applications

He hadn't expected anyone to fill this out. He'd only really posted it on a whim. So getting not only a response, but one from Haru of all people, was a major shock to his system.

He'd always been rather fond of Haru, from her resolve, to her kindness, to how she was always thinking of others well-being, even when she was struggling herself. And as he got to know her better, that fondness developed into a bit of a crush of sorts.

She was always a joy to be around, whether she was gardening, working on her coffee brewing skills, or even just a simple phone call. The first of which gave him more of an appreciation for nature that he'd never really had before.

Despite all this, he tended to push those feelings to the side in most instances. Part of this was because he never imagined in a million years that she could ever feel the same way, but it was also because he felt... unworthy of her. After what happened to her father, something he felt partially responsible for, having her company at all was a luxury he didn't feel he deserved.

Be that as it may, she wanted to spend Valentine's Day with him. And he'd have to be crazy to ever turn that down, guilt or no guilt.

"I-I uhhhhhhhhhh-"

... Accepting it, however, would be a struggle in of itself.

"Y-you- I- um-"

'C'mon Aaron! Get yourself together! This shouldn't be that hard!!'

"I'd... like that."

"A-and don't worry about the making out thing. H-honestly, I should've crossed that one out-"

Why was it even on there in the first place?? He couldn't imagine ever making out on a first date, and if it wasn't your first, why would you even need an application??

"B-but I am definitely looking forward to it! Everything you put down sounds lovely-"

The cuddling part especially brought a bit of warmth to his cheeks, but he was doing his best not to think about that. He'd be even more of a blushing mess if he did.

"-though if I may make a suggestion, perhaps I could make us dinner, and then we could go to the movies? I-I know Valentine's is more about you treating me, but I um... I'd like to do something for you too, if that's alright?"

1. What book did you last finish? When was that?

"Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries" by Heather Fawcett. i finished it a few days ago. ^^

9. YA, NA or Adult? Why?

I like pretty much all of them for their own specific reasons. :D

I'll reach for a YA book if I want a somewhat simpler plot, diverse and fun characters, and when I want a book to really give me a nostalgic sense of joy.

NA books are close to my own age, so I can see myself in them. I can connect through the characters and their struggles, so it makes me feel seen and validated, while also giving me some new insight.

And Adult books usually offer me something serious, something complicated, with lost of underlying themes.

This is all a very general explanation for it, but yeah. I don't restrict my reading material purely based on its targeted audience. I just reach for what speaks to me in that moment. :)

10. Sci-Fi or fantasy? Why?

Fantasy. I love a good sci-fi story, but fantasy has a special place in my heart. <3

26. If you could be a character from a book for their entire life who would you be and why?

Uhhhhhhhhhh... Gotta think of some character that actually has a sweet life...

Maybe Lyra from the Golden Compass? I haven't read the whole series, so I guess I would regret choosing her, but I would like to have a daemon and befriend a polar bear.

I usually just refrain from reading and focus on another hobby. Or I put down the book I'm currently reading and pick up another one instead, preferably from another genre entirely, so I can rest my brain a little. ^^
