if cargo skirts were real i’d wear them idc. cargo skorts specifically. whenever i wear a dress or skirt i always wear shorts underneath bc i’m paranoid and also i love sitting with my knees to my chest. but anyways they might be ugly but imagine what i could do with all those pockets. i think it would look cool idk i’m not like a fashion expert or anything tho one of my most common pairs of shoes is knockoff off brand crocs i got at five below for five dollars. they’ve held up for a year so far and don’t seem to be breaking anytime soon though so like, i feel like it was worth it yknow? anyways yeah.

I so desperately want Buddy to not meet Helio. Because he was raised in a cult. He was raised, literally and figuratively, to die in Helio's name. So if he meets Helio, regardless of how he feels about his death, it is over for him. He is done.

I want this to happen.

Buddy Dawn opens his eyes, and he is not greeted by the endless corn fields of his god. No, he finds himself in a forest at night. He hears the skittering of small (and perhaps very large) things moving about, just out of sight, and he instinctively moves to grasp his holy symbol (which, for dramatic reasons, is around his neck). But it is not there. Instead, he meets a hand. It is warm, pleasantly so, under the cool chill of the wind. It carefully takes his, and as his eyes clear, he sees in front of him, Kristen Applebees. But not quite.

The being before him is a Kristen with long hair, in a ponytail, and a tye-dye camp t-shirt (he thinks of a summer camp he went to, and quietly notices the same style). She is clearly not mortal.

But Buddy Dawn was raised nothing if not righteous under Helio's law. So he asks, "Where is Helio? Where is my god?"

She, who he now knows is Cassandra, tells him, "Are you sure he was yours? Or were you his?"

And Buddy thinks. He thinks of days in service where he could barely breathe for the singing, of days where he saw people around him use Helio to do terrible things, of days where he could not eat enough because of how weak (malnourished) he had become and the tests. The tests upon tests of his faith, where he wondered, if only for a moment, if Helio was worth this.

Buddy Dawn hears a branch snap, somewhere off in the woods. Close. Too close. It is so dark in these woods. He realises he may be scared. He doesn't know how to fight. Not really. Rats and spiders can only do so much.

Cassandra takes his hands again, from where they have fallen beside him. She looks him dead in his Helio-worshipping eyes, and tells him, "This is what I offer."

And he thinks, What is she saying? Fear? That is what she offers?

"I," Cassandra says, "offer this. There is doubt. You are in the woods, at night. But you are not alone. I am holding your hand. You cannot be hurt with me. It does not matter what is lurking in the trees. It could be a monster, but it could also be...a fox! Or a rabbit. Just because there is noise does not mean it could hurt you. I am the goddess of finding comfort in doubt, in uncertainty. You do not have to fear."

And Buddy Dawn, Helioic to his very core, begins to cry. "I was a kid. That isn't fair! I wanted to live."

And Cassandra, goddess of the unknown, smiles, and tells him, "Would you like to become alive again?"

He asks, through tears on his bloodstained clothes, "What?"

And she tells him, "Were you ever really alive, or did Helio just tell you that you weren't only surviving?"

And she hugs him, and he feels his throat close, and it is comforting. She gave him a sentence that most Helioic people would run from in fear, and it is comforting.

And Buddy Dawn wakes up.

I feel like one of the peak aspects of the early RWBY fandom was the excitement for some of the the more minor characters. It seemed that everyone enjoyed looking for emblems and speculating where they would appear in the future. Except. Rooster Teeth makes a bunch of characters they do nothing with, and instead make new ones for every little role they need to fill instead of utilizing preexisting ones. And it's frustrating, because some of them have legitimately good designs. But instead, we just get new characters chugged out like the second Thursday of every month. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think large casts are acceptable as long as you can write every character to be distinct. The Danganronpa and BNHA franchises manage to do this, and they're wildly successful. However, as I said earlier, RWBY does NOTHING with them. A lot of blind fans will be like "Oh why does that bother you? Their only purpose was to fill this infinitesimal role!" Which... isn't an excuse for character bloat? It's like every time a new character is introduced only to be tossed in the trash can later creates this annoying itch in my brain. It took YEARS for us to get something from half of team SSSN (a team which, by the way, was one of the first ones Monty designed, and seemed important to him), and of course Scarlet and Sage are one-dimensional and dickish. Some of them even have more visual appeal than the current designs of the main characters. Hello? Team ABRN? Team FNKI? Even BRNZ? Ciel? It's incredible that we've been loosing memorable designs all across the board in favor of these bland bleak color schemes with so little visual appeal. It feels like it's representative of the creators of said show no longer caring. Not only would utilizing pre-established characters from the Beacon or tournament era add visual diversity, it would add diversity in fighting styles too. It would be so cool to see more international fighting styles represented, as we've gotten a lot in the European and East Asian realms. It would also even be great to see a mix of simple weapons and cool transforming ones. Ironwood is one of the best fighters in-show and his weapons are just a pair of pistols. I personally enjoy the idea of showing both sides of the coin where characters have a more simplistic fighting style, but are good enough to the point where it's still interesting to see, as well as those cool transforming weapons that RWBY originally had as a selling point. Utilizing characters would also provide opportunities for cool merch, and we know Rooster Teeth likes making money. Nah, let's just stick with bi-colored tye-die hoodies and screenshot T-shirts.

☾ - sleep headcanon

Tara was always a curler, even before she was kidnapped. She likes having huge blankets on top of herself. This is even more pronounced after her experience with the Shadows, since heavy blankets help remind her she's not in the Shadows dorms.

Brion tends to sprawl out in his sleep and curl any blankets up around him. No matter what position he starts in, he will be in a different one when he wakes up.

We actually see Jaime wake up, and he was sleeping on his back without a shirt or blanket on, having fallen asleep while doing homework. Khaji Da is actually weirdly comfortable to fall on, and does their best not to interrupt Jaime's sleep. Gotta keep healthy, after all.

Jason can fall asleep anywhere, but he's prone to nightmares when sleeping alone. This was true even before he died- he woke up plenty of times in Wayne Manor with a half remembered dread. It's rare, but sometimes he has horrific dreams so realistic he needs a bit of time when waking up to remember they were dreams.

★ - sad headcanon

Due to the informational isolation she was under, Tara genuinely thought everyone abandoned or ignored her until after her rescue.

Markovia isn't fully accepting of queer people, so Brion was in the closet to the public and is convinced he can never come out.

Jaime knows first aid from his mom. He learned it so that he could help Tye when Tye was injured without needing a doctor.

Jason's life in the comics is already pretty sad, but he had friends who he saw die on the streets long before he became Robin. He also basically ran the house as his mom died of drugs and while his dad was dead.

■ - Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Tara's place is very sparse. She's a teenager and her tastes changed greatly from before she was kidnapped, and she's trying to rekindle old interests or figure out new ones.

Brion's not the neatest. Teenager who had maids growing up, he doesn't rip places to shreds but he did have to learn some things about doing chores when living with M'gann and Conner.

We see Jaime's room! He totally adds a poster of Dan Garrett later though, and after he gets Ted's notes a 'WWTKD' card also rests there.

Jason is incredibly neat and he has fancy tastes. There are coasters and doilies. He has a book shelf full of classics. His bed is always impeccably made and nothing is out of place. This is why people sometimes get Brion and Jason's room switched up.

- heavily scarred and "inspired and enlightened" by the incident that it shows up in their own personal ego ,(some sorta thang I gotta design that goes around their neck) normally uses scythe as their base weapon but decided to go with a short range close combat weapon for limbus because they're bad at it.

- absolutely miracle this fucker hasn't distorted by now. Broke into tye library to trade info and then got booked six or something times (you gotta figure out how to unhook people no way that lady did it naturally first try when they let everyone out of the libraby)

- got in contact with an arbiter (bee guy) and gave whatever info they had because man. Theyrr not fighting him.(moreso they just fucking appeared at their doorstep and they had no choice but to answer)

- straight up quits being a fixer for "unknown reasons" to join limbus. Also goes missing for like. 6 months before this.

Not that these are much less revealing, but since it's swimsuit option, some "women's swimsuit options" that are a but less revealing, search for "retro womens swimsuit one piece"

A majority that come up will be one pieces with shorts or shorts/skirts combos, and the ones with v shaped bottoms will be less extreme (so hopefully require less shaving and skin exposure to wear). I was aiming to find the old style where they kind of looked like one piece body suits with shorts.

Tomboy is nice but I hate the price

Amazon and a few sites seem to label these styles as boy-leg one piece (I personally prefer that bottom style so worth knowing the name), and Retrostage on the right also looks like the style I'd hoped to see. Retrostage has more similar offerings on their site.

Additionally if you do like two pieces, and like the bikini or halter top, slightly less revealing options than a bikini bottom (only slightly) are waist high bottoms (I personally like these they cover the stomach up to belly button and tend to have less extreme v shapes but still a v shape bottom) and women's swim shorts (cover the same amount as booty shorts). Also buying men's swim shorts, which are guaranteed longer, and then pairing with either a bikini top if you like that or a "halter top swimsuit"/"tankini top" these tend to cover anywhere from the amount a sports bra would, a crop top, up to an entire long tank top. I know there's also long sleeve versions of the crop top style as I've seen them recently in style.

Searching "long sleeve bathing suit top" will get you anything from bra coverage but with long sleeves, to full length long sleeve shirt with booty shorts included. With the majority tending to be crop top length with long sleeves, and a v bottom of varying levels of extreme with some being more modest and some being steeper (steeper tends to be in style right now). I can guarantee you I've seen this option in more goth looking bathing suits lately so if that's your style it should be findable.

Floral, tye die, plain colors seem to be the common patterns
