honestly while Piccolo was kind of an ass in dbssh, I think its justified to a degree. He has ulterior motives (getting gohan to fight) but he still had a good reason and total control over the situation... and he was kinda right about how Gohan SHOULD have sensed his energy... (which I think is out of character for Gohan, ngl. He should've been more than smart enough to know it was piccolo)

i think you're kinda right. i think it's in character for piccolo to be mad that gohan slacked off on training (i don't really blame gohan tho. i know phd students it's rough out there) and even kidnap pan to get him back in the game but i still think it was kind of an insane move considering piccolo would know how gohan would react to that emotionally considering what was at stake (at least in gohan's eyes?). which i know was the whole point (gohan sees loved one in danger> goes insane pipeline) but the fact that piccolo specifically put pan "in danger" even knowing about cell max just to get him to train more was kinda wack. i also know pan was supposed to not be in any real danger but like cell max should have set off some alarm bells imo. i'm not really upset about this choice too much anymore because again i think it's kind of in character for piccolo and also dragon ball doesn't go deep into exploring complex emotions so whatever it made for a good movie

AND YES IT WAS OOC THAT GOHAN DIDN'T SENSE PICCOLO'S ENERGY WTF.... me and my friends joke that he was so frazzled from being in The Zone that he just was totally out of it but the second he saw red ribbon goons show up he should have been more on guard. now that i think of it it's funny that he was treating them like a casual nuisance not just because of his strength but because it's also a very "you're goku's son alright" moment but in the end he should have at least noticed one of them had a strong ki signature :[

ok this is also entirely unrelated- was gonna write this in the tags but *i* think it's too funny for that. like if they had showed gohan visibly sleep deprived and/or hopped up on caffeine MAYBE that would have conveyed the obliviousness a little less ooc BUT ALSO how funny would it be if beast gohan was a DIRECT result of the unholy cocktail of massive sleep deprivation and energy drinks. beast gohan more like monster (tm) gohan

Amélie's obsession with sharks was a relatively new development. Jean wasn't completely sure what had sparked it, but he was sure it couldn't be narrowed down to a single moment anyway. All he knew was that one day, she came home from a trip to the library with a stack of books filled with shark facts, and since then it had been a steady stream of information about sharks.

He did his part though, and regularly tried to find books for her that might have new information for her to learn. Her bed was filled with shark stuffed animals, and although their mother had refused to let her get shark-themed bedding, she coated everything else with stickers she'd gotten from the aquarium they'd last gone to.

spent the whole day at an archery competition yesterday!!! twas really fun and i got slightly better :3 i also spent the whole day with long sleeves till it was my turn. it did not prevent the sunburns. i have a stripe pattern on my left arm now (caused by my arm protection)

#yes i forgot sunscreen. i also forgot to take a spoon to eat my pasta salad. #to be fair i didn’t forget anything that i put on my list. but i did make the list at past 11pm while completely tired #and with the knowledge i’d have to wake up at 5am #also there was barely any sun or warmth for the entire morning. i was nearly cold actually #when twas my turn in the afternoon the sun suddenly started to burn for an hour and i could feel it. and then it rained jdhdhjs #nothing like last week’s competition where we were drenched and kept waiting for 5min between each flight for slightly better conditions #(no lightning in the 5min span) #yesterday there was a lot of wind too which is more worrying than the rain #but i dealt really well with it and i’m proud of that!! i release my arrows really quickly usually but!!! #i took my time to find the best window between the blasts of wind. we have two minutes for a flight of three arrows and it feels so so long #(because really. it *is* very very long. the longest 2min of my life are when i wait for my turn) #but i really help to know that i am able to fly my arrows fast enough. so i know i can calmly wait for 20 seconds and still finish on time #anyway i had fun!!!!!!! i socialised the whole day!!!!!!!! with good people!!!!!!!!!! #and i got some advice which is always valuable

“Yeah, look, I couldn’t even think about food right now, to be honest” Damien flopped backwards onto his bed. “Still traumatized from whatever the fuck was in that blue jello. Heard some blokes say it could’ve been pig dick but I’d rather not know.”
