okay so i was thinking of a joke earlier about how in DPDC Amity Park's slogan "a great place to live" is not only city propaganda but also the city lording it over the rest of America for being normal. But then I remembered that, despite how many DCU Cities with heroes in it there are, the amount of cities in America without heroes still far outnumber the amount of cities in America WITH heroes.

So I did a little digging so the joke would still land. Something most heroes have in common is that they operate in major cities. What makes a major city? I found that the general consensus is that the population is roughly over or around a million. THEN I looked up the populations of cities in the DCU that I thought of off the top of my head. So Gotham, Metropolis, Starling City, Central City, Jump City. All of them ranked up to millions in population (most of them were in the tens of millions).

Amity Park's wikipedia describes it as being similar to specifically Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Philadelphia's Population: 1.576 million as of 2021 Chicago's Population: 2.697 million as of 2021 San Francisco: 815,201 as of 2021

Whiiich means that Amity Park if we take that from canon, is probably a major city. There are approximately 19,000 cities in America with probably less than a hundred that are major cities. Adding the DCU major cities wouldn't skew the data too much.

Which MEANS that I can make the joke that Amity Park's "great place to live" is not only just typical city propaganda, but also its Amity Park lording it over the other major cities for being one of the only major cities that doesn't have problems bad enough to warrant a superhero or a vigilante. Cue stage left the Fentons and Phantom :)

Amity Parkers were probably SO proud that they didn't need a superhero. They didn't have to worry about things like 'world ending threats' and 'super-powered individuals' and 'staggering property damage'. And then enter Fentons.

It also could be used as an excuse for why nobody took notice to Amity Park getting ghosts if folks like me aren't huge fans of the notion of a media blackout via Tucker, Technus, or the US Government. Or if you want to keep Amity Park as its urban city self. Amity Park's news on ghosts gets drowned out in a week because there's news on more popular, well-known cities going on every other day. The shit going on in Amity Park is every other major city's regular Tuesday and it gets filtered as such.

i liked him being angry at his family, i liked him lashing out at the people he cared about most because he felt safe enough to let it out on them. only to feel so incredibly guilty that he did everything he could to make up for what he did to hurt them

let Fitz be angry, let him him hurt the people he loves, let him struggle with what he did to hurt the ones he loves without meaning to, let him feel guilty, let him struggle to forgive himself even after hes been forgiven, because he doesn't think he deserves it

Interesting thing about the Big Dipper is it’s part of a larger constellation, Ursa Major, and the Little Dipper is Ursa Minor. The moles on the Yoshiki face are like the moles on his dad’s except his dad has more. Just kind of further visually connecting Yoshiki to his father with constellations.

For all the problems ROTT had with its story and characters, I actually kind of liked Aja’s part in it, however small it was.

She steps in ready to help and, as soon as she realizes what kind of dangers and risks were involved, immediately suggests evacuating earth. Even after being shut down by the others, she has ships readied in case of the worse. She was the only one to even consider the possibility of innocent casualties caused by the titans stomping around or that the plan might fail and doesn’t want to risk lives on any possibility. It really goes to show just how much more mature and responsible she’d become.

She’s a leader, now, with hundreds of thousands of lives (probably more) dependent on her choices and decisions. She had a lot of mess to clean up after the revolution, especially considering her parents very likely burned a lot of bridges with other planets and races with their policy of neutrality. Bridges you know she wanted to fix, personally. Her position’s allowed her to become much more of a practical thinker and I, for one, would love to see so much more of Actual Queen Aja being a diplomat, a negotiator, a delegator, and someone who’s unafraid to make the hard decisions and tough calls while still keeping her compassionate nature.

Trying to buy jeans that fit is like an actual fucking nightmare I go here are the measurements of my body because I know exactly what the circumference of my waist and hips are and the size guide goes great! Here’s what size to get based on the circumference of your waist and hips :) and I go so if I buy these they will fit my measurements. Because you’ve put there how many centimetres it is. I know how many centimetres my hips and waist are, are you telling me the truth about your trousers? And they go yep. This is the size of our trousers. And then I go hmm your size guide says these run small I will get the size up because even though I know that based on my measurements I should get the smaller size but I want to be on the safe side. And then I try them on and they’re too fucking small even though the waistband is apparently ten centimetres bigger than my waist.

Every week someone makes a post about how annoying it is that Dick Grayson fans don't acknowledge his flaws, and every week someone replies with an explanation that the flaws OP listed are entirely fanon and inconsistent with canon as it actually happened and at this point I have to assume that none of those explanations are ever going to stick because clearly some people just want the fanon to be true.

0% chance of me even coming close to finishing this but I started a New Pork City build on Minecraft

Actually my second attempt, originally I tried basically just going straight off the game

But it doesn't look that good, none of it is sized or styled in a way that feels good in minecraft, it feels very cold and empty to walk through, and my attempts to make it conform to the game's map makes my terrible scaling of everything wayyy more obvious XP (THE STEVE HEADS WERE A PLACEHOLDER i just didn't wanna bother looking for a bunch of custom heads that would fit ><)

So this new version I'm gonna try more to replicate the "spirit" of the game and make something that feels really cool and fits both Minecraft and the MOTHER 3 vibe :D rather than try to transplant a 2D game map to a 3D format

I miiight try sketching out a basic plan of the layout I have in mind, which'll be fairly different

Anyway here's some more stuff I've already built:

While I didn't like the direction I was going with this version, I do like how I did the fake buildings, so this sorta gives an idea of how I'll be doing them in the new version

How much I actually have done XP I've been struggling a lot with the big arch thingy (which I'm moving to be the entrance of the city) Minecraft reeeeally needs more gold blocks for building, copper is GREAT and they need to give more metals as much stuff as copper has

And my first (basically) completed building, Beauty & Tasty! Still needs some work on the walls and ceiling, but it's more or less finished Gives me an idea of the scale everything else will need to be at in the build It's MUCH larger than the first version I did, which was wayyy more cramped and sad

And of course I'll be including the King Statue that I already built ^^ (which would've been wayyyyyy too big at the scale the first version of the city was)

Soooo like I said, no way this'll ever come close to being done, but I'll post updates whenever I manage to make something significant!

I honestly love just how Bad the Addisons are at their job. Except for pink, pink is the only one who does a somewhat solid job.
