30 Day OTP Challenge - Day 30, Doing something sweet (finale)

For a while after Ash becomes a champion, he hardly has any time for himself. It’s exhibition matches, fan signings, and paid promos one after another. But one day, he gets a letter saying that his schedule for the next week has been completely cleared. Attached to the letter is an airplane ticket to Kanto International Airport—perfect for visiting his hometown. After his long half-globe journey, Ash sleepily drags himself through the arrival gates. Suddenly, Pikachu squeals in his ear to wake him up and paws at his face to look ahead. In the distance, there’s a familiar young man with purple hair and a soft smile on his face.

“Look who finally took a vacation.”

“…Long time, no see, Paul.”

MSR Fic Tropes Part II

Mulder always teases “Scully, you wound me!”

Scully steals Mulder’s shirts on cases and wears them as bedclothes at home. Mulder always sees her in them. 

Mulder crosses a room in two (max three) long strides. 

Scully takes forever to think before finally nodding. 

Mulder brings Scully her favorite coffee every day. 

Scully falls asleep before Mulder can watch his favorite movie with her. She can also fall asleep anywhere.

Mulder has insomnia until he gets more settled in his later years.

Mulder will sadly watch Scully rebuild her walls after a trauma.

Scully misinterprets Mulder’s actions-- thinking he's interested or dating someone-- and tries to deflect by saying “it’s none of my business.” Mulder will always insist it is her business.

Mulder always says Scully is "the strongest person I know."

Scully and Mulder share beds in motels to escape nightmares (despite there only being one or two incidences in canon of any nightmares.) 

Mulder constantly pushes Scully’s hair behind her ears gently.

Scully and Mulder call each other in the early morning hours after having nightmares. They usually don’t admit this on the phone; but the other always senses it. Mulder ends up usually driving over in the middle of the night.

Mulder and Scully do not simply hold hands: they interlace (or simply lace) their fingers together. 

Skinner always catches Mulder and Scully being coupley.

The thing that makes me mad about finding cool quotes/references to use as titles or some such for stories is they're basically impossible to consciously look for. Sure you can just Google "cool quotes" or something but it's just gonna return stuff that everyone knows. By nature the coolest quotes always come from things that you read/watch/listen to and are drawn towards, maybe not even realizing why you're drawn to them. You can't "look for" cool quotes because by nature the coolest quotes are the ones that are cool to you personally. So ultimately the only reliable way to find profound phrases/references is to consume a lot of art and find the things that are meaningful through sheerly opening your mind and trying new things

i'm sure it probably occurred to others before but one unfortunate consequence of steve and danny casually saying 'i love you' to each other would make accidental confessions of romantic love less effective. angrily yelling 'BECAUSE I LOVE YOU' during an argument? well, duh, it's a given, of course you worry about me because you love me, we've been over this. drunken 'i love you so much'? who hasn't blurted out an 'i love you' to friends and animals and random passer-bys while drunk, doesn't mean anything. an out of blue 'i love you' when overwhelmed with gratitude over something they did for each other? again, we been knew. 'i love you' as a 'good luck' before danger? yep, been there. 'i love you' as they are about to die? almost cliché at this point.

whichever of them breaks first will really have to work for it. and what if danny lost his patience first.

danny: hey, steve?

steve: yeah?

danny: i love you

steve: aw, you too, buddy

danny: no, i mean, i really love you

steve: love you too, aren't we a bit needy today? :p

Story Ideas that I need to elabroate eventually

Blonde Knight One: a lady knight swore loyalty to the crown, but after finding how vile and twisted her kingdom was, she swears loyalty to a tricksy witch and becomes her knight. The story follows the adventures of her and two magicians: a transgender sorcerer (she/her) called Adam (short for Adamite) who is very very cheesy and has a boosted ego, and her equally chaotic counterpart, a black trans bard called Eve who is way too flamboyant. The separated may be prime examples of magic casting, but together, they are so unhinged the knight's job is usually to keep them from getting them expelles from whatever kingdom they have a mission on. Based on random ideas from my daily life that somehow fit together, and Vibes.

Venera and [unnamed]: Venera is a russian lved in paranormal adventures with this nonbinary guy (clove motif) that has a more open and dumbass personality than him. They are a great contrast, but they work well together. Based on a design challenge.

The Chosen One: Victor is a chosen one hero from a prophecy in a fantasy world; he knows what his duty is, and hed be happy to comply, if there wasnt so much paperwork. Victor is supposed to slay The Dragon, but each time he gets close, he has to sign so much stuff and get so many appointments before getting close to actually killing it that hes in that for ages. Gabriel, on a fairly distant country, is a magician (he has his diplome) that uses his time helping passerbys and prophecy heroes that criss his path. He is quite poor and had a hard time paying for his magic scholarship, unlike his friend Toriel, a way wealthier magician. One day, Victor stumbles upon the bar where Gabriel usually hangs out, and after they meet, the three of them go in a mission to try and slay the dragon that has been terrorizing their kingdom for ages.

New one: Two freed slaves, a guard dog and a guy who was forced to do sex services, go on a journey together and the Romantic finds out he is actually a chosen one. And can fuel the power of The Seven Deadly Sins, that are the basis of the magic system on this world. Neither the guard dog nor the romantic have pleasant personalities, but now they'll have to save the world ^v^

I will be honest, I don't read very far and wide in the fandom these days, but from the servers I am in, I have heard horror stories about the way that folks write and read clones.

The tropes I have learned in order of what the fuck:

Rex is oppressed because he is a natural blond.

That's it. That's the one that keeps me awake at night. I'm sure there are others, but just typing that sentence literally drained every other thought from my head.
