Iconic Moments of RH 2023
Tumblr media
A year has gone by and while we can say that there’s not much in the world to be optimistic about lately, it was a great year for Bravo at least.
After years of struggling with weak seasons and poor ratings, it looks like a lot of shows has turned the page.
If it weren’t for Bethenny Frankel’s Reality Reckoning pursuit, I would argue that it has been a very successful year for Bravo and Andy Cohen.
1. Scandoval
Tumblr media
This list is actually reserved for Real Housewives, but how could I not include the biggest scandal and the biggest show of 2023?
Scandoval was the cursed gift that kept on giving with an incredible mountain of shocking details and lies.
Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss became the most hated persons on social media, while Ariana Madix rose to stardom with a movie role and DWTS.
The last episode of the season gave me goosebumps, made me furious, made me emotional. It was an amazing end of a rollercoaster of a season.
2. “YOU. CAN. LEAVE!”
Tumblr media
RHOSLC had one of the best seasons ever this year, and their trip to Palm Springs was one of the funniest episodes I’ve ever seen.
When Meredith Marks has reached her melting point, she’s done!
Her delivery of “YOU. CAN. LEAVE!” will remain as one of the most iconic moments of RHOSLC.
3. Fuck Cancer Opera Night
Tumblr media
Julia Lemigova’s surprise for Martina Navratilova was so entertaining, funny, and touching to me.
She wanted to surprise Martina with singing her favourite opera song for her, and Julia couldn’t sing. Her scheme become more and more elaborate as more people wanted to be a part of her surprise.
And that it was a party where they said “Fuck Cancer” was so emotional for me.
4. The RHONY Reboot Was a Success!
Tumblr media
It wasn’t written in the cards that RHONY would survive a reboot. I don’t think people had much faith that they would make it, especially since they lost Lizzy Savetsky in the middle of filming.
But against all odds the new housewives were able to show us originality, entertainment, and excitement. Bravo’s gamble seemed to pay off!
Especially Brynn Whitfield, Jenna Lyons and Jessel Taank stood out as fan favourites, which is incredible for a basically brand-new show.
5. Mary’s Phone Call to Trixie Motel
Tumblr media
The trip to Palm Springs was a trip even before they had left Salt Lake City.
Mary Cosby’s phone call to Trixie Motel to check what kind of wine and food they had there, cracked me up! Her facial expressions are out of this world!
6. Tribeca is Up and Coming, Right?
Tumblr media
While I was entertained by the first episodes of the RHONY reboot, it wasn’t before the lunch with Jessel and Erin Lichy that I was hooked on Jessel.
Their lunch quickly became a classic Housewives scene.
Jessel is the type of person who says whatever comes to her mind, and that means that she can easily offend others.
When Jessel said that the neighbourhood was up and coming, to Erin’s outrage, I knew that I was going to love her.
7. The Shrine of it All
Tumblr media
As Potomac got themselves a new housewife named Nneka Ihim, I wasn’t completely excited.
She was introduced as Ashley Darby’s friend, and I thought: “Oh no, here we go again. Which character from Sesame Street will we get this time?”
But then Nneka had a very interesting lunch with Robyn Dixon, about Wendy Osefo and allegedly how her family had tried to prevent her from joining the show!
8. Name ‘Em!
Tumblr media
Sutton Stracke is in rare form this season of RHOBH.
When Kyle Richards rightfully said that Sutton has lost her shit multiple times on the show, Sutton was so childish and rude with her taunting.
“Name ‘em, name ‘em, name ‘em…” I understand why Kyle lost her temper in that moment. Sutton wanted to provoke Kyle.
9. Luis Ruelas and Bo Dietl
Tumblr media
At the very toxic and negative reunion of RHONJ it was revealed that someone had hired a private investigator on the women, and Luis Ruelas had said that he was “good friends” with Bo Dietl.
Cue a bunch of strange phone calls to the family members of the housewives. And I believe that Luis is the root of the problems.
10. Shannon’s Hit and Run DUI
Tumblr media
Season 17 of RHOC was one the better seasons, and in many ways, it was the unravelling of Shannon Beador’s relationship with John Janssen.
It was mentioned multiple times that Shannon might have a drinking problem, which she denied time and time again.
But after their reunion was filmed, Shannon had a dramatic hit and run DUI, to which she was sentenced to 3 years of probation and 40 hours of community service for.

It’s done 😭😭😭 episode 10!
It’s just the beginning of this episode and it’s already insane. I can’t believe they stole one of Rory’s wings to hurt them. Seeing Lucifer and Chloe fight to get to where they’re keeping their daughter was awesome and the part where Lucifer flies over everyone was cool.
Chloe has got to stop getting stabbed in front of Lucifer it’s hurts my heart honestly 😭 but she’s so strong that she tries to move on with what they’re doing. The part where Lucifer is talking about how he’d feel pain if he didn’t get to see his daughter grow up and if he had to leave his love and family was so sad. Lucifer often carries around a lot of guilt and sadness over things he can’t control.
She called him dad!!! She has a sort of devil face this is is so weird but I kind of love it and Lucifer talking her down was perfect he wants her to be better than he was to learn from his mistakes. Every parent hopes for their child to live a better life than theirs.
Rory was a lost soul and Lucifer saved her ❤️ seeing him desperately try and keep her with them but her telling them that is okay and it has to be that way and making him promise to keep things the same was so sad 😭 he doesn’t want to leave Chloe and miss Rory growing up
They recreated their first meeting this is beautiful!!
For a split second when I saw them on the Hell throne I was so confused 😂 but I get it lol
Heart and Soul 😭😭❤️❤️ their song!
Dan and his bloody pudding I can’t 😂😂😭😭 and Charlie getting his wings lmao Amenadiel is so excited
Even though he can’t be there Chloe still has her family and it’ll hurt that he’s not there but she has the support she needs.
The black parade omg 😭 also Amemadiel being there for Chloe when she dies
The therapy session was so funny why is Vincent the funniest guy 😂😂
Chloe and Lucifer are always going to be partners that’s amazing they are always meant to be together. I love them so much and I’m going to miss them 😭 fanfiction is going to keep me going. Him seeing her for the first time in ages was amazing and the fact she chose to come to him is perfect. Their relationship is about making their own choices and trusting each other because they’re partners. Deckerstar is honestly the best ship ❤️
I can’t believe it’s over this show has been on since I was 15 and I’m 20 now. Maybe in the future we could get a spin off that would be cool maybe one where Trixie is the main character I’d love that!

i have seen inception an unspeakable amount of times and the most interesting thing is the Crumbs of information we have about all of the characters. he’s resourceful, he’s competent, he’s a great dresser. 10/10 don’t know anyone else who could take down a hotel full of men in a three piece suit with spontaneous changes in gravity. like godDAMN that’s attractive.

8. mazikeen — lucifer

honorable mentions: sokka, katara
10. alaric saltzman — the vampire diaries
okay couldn’t put a gif for this one bc of the tumblr limit but vampire hunter sticks around and acquires a vampire bro and a vampire daughter and trains a vampire hunter son and then acquires a vampire coparent to his 2 biological witch daughters… fantastic trope. i feel bad for him because his wives keep dying but he was a GIFT in the vampire diaries, no one did it like him
honorable mentions: bonnie bennett
tags: @attempted--eloquence @frustrateddumbbar @thecenturiestrickle @rohesiawrites @ttp5000 @cordelia---rose @songbvrd @li0nh34rt @edge0fmydesiree @lucilucialu

After having looked through your blog, I'd say "Call the Midwife" for the TV show ask game. ;)
@captain-sassy-socks You are too sweet!!
Favorite male character: While I love Patrick’s character, Fred is actually my favorite character! He is hilarious but he is also sweet. I love his back story too!
Favorite female character: With Call the Midwife being a female lead and centered show, this is really hard. I would say that my favorite female character is Sister Bernadette/ Shelagh. I love watching her progression throughout the series.
Least favorite character: I hate to say, but my least favorite character is Jenny Lee. I know... the whole series came about because of her books. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I like her character, but out of all of the regular cast members, she’s me least favorite.
Prettiest character: Tied between Trixie (I love her style and her attitude) and Patsy (Emerald Fennell is so pretty).
Funniest character: SISTER MONICA JOAN!!!! She cracks me up in every single episode.
Favorite season: Season 2 is one that I can watch every single episode in one sitting. Plus, we get to see the formation of Turnadette!!
Favorite episode: Season 4, episode 4 is my absolute favorite, followed closely by season 2, episode 5 and season 6, episode 8.
Favorite romantic ship: Turnadette 🙌🏼 all 🙌🏼 the 🙌🏼 way!!! They are my jam!!
Favorite family ship: The Turner family is a given, however the Buckle family is so sweet!! Reggie is absolutely adorable!!
Favorite friendship ship: The friendships on this show are simply amazing!! I feel like they do a great job at showing what a true friendship would look like with it’s ups and downs. My favorite that I look forward to in every episode is Shelagh and Sister Julienne although I do like all of them.
Worst ship: That’s another hard one (mainly because all ships are great), but my least favorite is whenever they try hooking Trixie up with someone. As a viewer, I would rather watch her advance and succeed in her training as a nurse (or as a doctor) as opposed to her trying to find a man. It’s not cool. Let her be happy where ever she wants to be.
That’s it!! This was a lot harder than it looks but it was great to be able to dissect a show and to choose favorites.

Call the midwife? Or if someones beaten me to it, the ninja warrior nuns?
This is for @wonderwanda too. This will be broad strokes considering I’ve watched the whole show and that’s A LOT of eps.
Favorite episode and why Honestly? Lucille’s intro. I love so many eps but I think her intro is just my absolute fave because they’re so used to middle of the night calls being patients and Lucille catching her breath with “I am a midwife” and Val not missing a beat with “of course you are”
Funniest/crackiest/it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode/scene The most amusing and adorable scene to me will always and forever be Chummy naked under a trenchcoat. Though Fred’s shenanigans are very hilarious.
It’s-terrible-and-I-hate it episode/scene All the main character deaths but especially Barbra. I’m still pissed.
Best episode/scene for my favorite character I love s7ep2 and s8ep2 for Lucille a lot. They both have her being capable and overcoming an obstacle to provide excellent care and I just.. she’s SO GOOD at her job and so compassionate. Before Lucille, Chummy was my alltime fave and I loved the ep when her mom died because just gosh it was a lot and she was so good.
Best episode/scene for my favorite ship I love every time they’re together but I find that when Lucille reveals that Popular has become home and Val’s face? I just... it’s everything. Also their first ep, also that next ep, “I’m sorry I doubted you”, also when Babs dies, “You look exactly like you” also when Gran gets sick also also I love all of their moments.
Best episode/scene for a particular supporting character I love the scene where Trixie admits to Phyllis she’s not managing and needs a break. Also Phyllis giving Delia that book of poetry. Also Sister Monica Joan telling Val she delivered her.
Best episode/scene for a character I don’t usually like I can’t think of a scene but I loved when my mind changed about Sister Evangelina and I was devastated by her death.
Most visually beautiful or interesting episode/scene I liked the most recent Christmas Special.
Most emotionally affecting episode/scene Every one of them. I don’t think I’ve ever not cried during CTM.
Most powerful use of music in an episode/scene I forget the name of the ep but when that woman whose house was going to get demolished died and there was what I think is a traditional Hebrew prayer for a death sung when she’s carried out. I sobbed.
Episode/scene that changed my perspective on the show My perspective hasn’t really changed. I’ve always loved it.
Episode/scene where the acting stands out All of them.
Overall best-written episode Too many to count.

Lucifer season 4 spoilers - look away now if you haven’t had time to binge watch it yet.
Okay I know I’ve just posted about Lucifer season 4 but I have to get my feelings out and you, my tumblr nerds, are the only ones who will appreciate them. So here are my thoughts and feels about the season in no particular order:
THAT LAST SCENE!!!! It was absolutely heartbreaking and absolutely perfect. The acting, the music, the KISS! And then of course there’s the love confessions we have been waiting for for four years. And Lucifer got his angel wings back!
I really loved Chloe’s story arc this season. They brought her off of that pedestal that Lucifer had set her on by having her react badly but they gave her the proper time to learn to accept him for who he is.
Lucifer’s story arc was equally well done. He was being pulled in so many directions and it was good to see him finally accept responsibility for things and to start to forgive himself and find out who he really wants to be. And the scene where he called Linda to his apartment was heartbreaking. The way he said that he didn’t want to be a monster, that’s who Lucifer truly is.
Maze’s arc I’m kind of on the fence about, but it was still a hell of a lot better than last season’s and her and Trixie are friends again so that’s all that really matters.
Speaking of Trixie, how adorable was the scene where she visited Lucifer!
Okay, back to character arcs. Next up: Dan. He was a douche. But he also knows that he was a douche and was tearing himself up about it so there is still hope.
Ella was another one whose story arc I didn’t really care about. But she was still the awesome Ella we all love.
Linda was amazing as always. I’m not sure if I like the whole baby story but it did give us some of the funniest scenes in the season so I’m not complaining. Baby-proofing the ceiling was great.
Amenadiel was great until he decided he wanted to take the baby to Heaven. Thankfully he changed his mind and thus has redeemed himself. Honestly, I’ve kinda gone from a Maze/Linda shipper to a Maze/Linda/Amenadiel shipper, which is a first for me. Never shipped three people together before.
Now, let’s talk about Eve. When I first saw the trailer I thought she was going to be adorable, but instead she was just really annoying. I know being naive is to be expected for her character, but this was just way too much. She did have a few good moments though, like when she protected Trixie and when Lucifer was trying to be a cliche bad boyfriend and she just kind of joined in.
But I hated how quickly Ella and Linda fell in love with her. They had just met and yet Ella’s like “oh sure I’ll take these pills that you got from a complete stranger with you.”
Of course, I hated the Lucifer/Chloe/Eve love triangle, but at least it was also tied in with Lucifer’s identity crisis so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
We did get some great Deckerstar moments, though. And I loved each and every one of them, even the painful ones full of tears and betrayal. We didn’t get the necklace scene that the creators hinted at, which is really disappointing, but that last scene at the penthouse makes up for it. When season 5 starts (cause there had better be one) she had better be wearing it.
The Father Kinley story arc was really interesting. Graham McTavish absolutely nailed it. And he made an even better demon.
Speaking of the last episode, can we just take a moment to appreciate the scene at the beginning with Dan jumping into Lucifer arms and then just sort of disappearing into the ceiling!
I wasn’t a big fan of the amount of devil-face (and other body parts) in the season. The CGI was way better yes, but it still didn’t have the same effect as it did in season one where we only saw it in flashes, which, in my opinion, made it a lot scarier. If you look at the Devil for too long, he just looks silly.
And there is just two more things we have to acknowledge. And they are the two best/worst puns in any TV show ever. The first one is Amenadiel calling the baby A-mini-diel, and the second is Lucifer chucking a tyre at a fleeing suspect’s head, knocking him to the ground, and then saying that he got tired. Pure gold!
I could go on more but if I did we could be here all day so I will leave it at that. All in all, it was a great season with only a few minor disappointments and I am really hoping to get a season 5 with all the ups and downs of an official Deckerstar relationship we deserve.

“Just the facts, ma’am” — “Dragnet” (1951 - 1959) (1967 - 1970)
“Ladies and gentlemen: the story you are about to hear is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.” Such a cool opening for one of the most memorable “cop” TV shows of all time. Sgt. Joe  — My name’s Friday. I’m a cop — Friday (Jack Web) and his detective sidekicks (played by Ben Alexander and Harry Morgan) managed to keep us glued to the television with their subtle tactics in apprehending criminals because all they really needed in their quest was... just the facts. So cool. Dum, de, dum, dum! Check out this very cool short video.
“Stifle it, Edith!” — “All In The Family” (1971 - 1979) Archie Bunker (Carroll O’Connor) had a way with words. He called his liberal son-in-law,  “Meathead”and his faithful wife, “Dingbat “ (and he insulted about every stereotype you can name) without getting his hand slapped from the politically correct community. He was so lovable, though, right? Whenever his wife Edith (Jean Stapleton) had an opinion, he managed to stifle her — most of the time. Check out the time she stifled him here.
“Who Loves Ya Baby?” — “Kojak” (1973 - 1978)
Kojak (Telly Savalas) was probably the only New York City detective on TV who made the Tootsie Roll Pop sexy. And, didn’t he start the bald head craze? (OK, Yul Brenner in the “King And I” helped get this trend started).  Who loves Ya, Baby? We do, we do!  (Look here for clip.)
“Good Evening” — Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955 - 1962)
Maybe you had to be there, but no one could grab an audience with an introduction quite like Alfred Hitchcock. His “series of unrelated short stories covering elements of crime, horror, drama and comedy about people of different species committing murders, suicides, thefts and other sorts of crime caused by certain motivations” kept us coming back for more each week. It seems like seven years just wasn’t enough for this film director and his spell-bounding stories.  Take a look at his one-of-a-kind introductions here.
“Would you believe... “ — “Get Smart”  (1965 - 1970)
“Get Smart” (battling the forces of KAOS) had an embarrassment of riches in the catchphrase department. Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 (Don Adams) kept his co-hort, Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon) and the Chief (Edward Platt) on the tips of their toes every time he opened his mouth. “Would you believe” these words of wisdom: “Missed it by that much!,” “Sorry about that, Chief,” and “I asked you not to tell me that.” Yes, we would believe anything you say, Agent 86. Take a peek at these “Get Smart” funniest moments here.
“To the moon, Alice!” — “The Honeymooners/The Jackie Gleason Show” (1951 - 1959) Who could forget the wild and crazy antics of New York City bus driver Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason), sarcastic wife Alice Kramden (Audrey Meadows), NYC sewer worker, Ed Norton (Art Carney) and his wife Trixie (Joyce Randolph)? These four feisty Brooklyn residents tested each others patience on a daily basis which was the reason millions of viewers tuned in once a week. Needless to say, Alice Kramden knew how to draw blood which is why Ralph gave her the what for... “One of these days, Alice, you’re going to the moon!”   “Just One more thing...” — “Colombo”  (1971 - 2003)
Peter Falk made “Colombo” a household name with his unique way of solving the “whodunit” mystery in this clever television detective show. The Fashion Police would have a field day with this disheveled, cigar-smoking detective. (Oh, that rumpled, beige raincoat... how we loved it.) The criminal always thinks he/she has the upper hand in the investigation only to be caught up in the web of Colombo’s increasingly intrusive presence. Just when the suspect thinks all is well,  the polite detective (who always gets his man/woman), has “just one more thing“ to ask.
“Goodnight, John Boy” — “The Waltons”  (1971 - 1981)
This Great Depression Virginia mountain family sure knew how to grab our hearts. Each episode focuses on the “family of John Walton Jr. (known as John-Boy), his parents, John and Olivia Walton, their seven children, and John’s parents Zebulon “Zeb” and Esther Walton. John-Boy (Richard Thomas) is the eldest of the children (17 years old in the beginning), who becomes a journalist and novelist. In the signature scene that closes almost every episode, the family house is enveloped in darkness, save for one, two or three lights in the upstairs bedroom windows. Through voice-overs, two or more characters make some brief comments related to that episode’s events, and then bid each other goodnight, after which the lights go out.”
“Let’s be careful out there.” — “Hill Street Blues” (1981 - 1987)
“Hill Street Blues“is an American serial police drama that chronicled the lives of the staff of a single police station located on the fictional Hill Street, in an unnamed large city, with ‘blues’ being a slang term for police officers for their blue uniforms.”  In the opening, Sgt. Phil Esterhaus  (Michael Conrad) does the police roll call, concluding with his signature line: “Let’s be careful out there.”
“May God bless.” — “The Red Skelton Show” (1951 - 1971)
“The Red Skelton Show” was mainly known for the comedy sketches performed by Red himself which included an array of comedic characters (Clem Kadiddlehopper, San Fernando Red, George Appleby and Freddie the Freeloader). He also had guest star performers including John Wayne, Phyllis Diller, Jack Benny... the list goes on forever. His opening monologue often included his two favorite seagulls, Gertrude and Heathcliff. At the end of each show, he ended it with thoughts that went something like this.
“Lucy! You got some ‘splainin’ to do!” — “I Love Lucy” (1951 - 1957) That crazy redhead we affectionately know as Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball) was never at a loss for words... or hair brained, good-natured mischief. Her cohort, Ethel Mertz (Vivian Vance) was somewhat skeptical at times to play along, but the two BFFs made life interesting for their respective spouses, Ricky (Desi Arnaz) and Fred (William Frawley) to say the least. When Lucy tested Ricky’s patience one too many times, he screamed the only phrase that came to mind (each time): “Lucy, You got some ‘splainin’ to do!” Don’t we all use that phrase ocassionally when we get pissed at our significant others (no matter what gender they are)?
“Yada, Yada, Yada” — “Seinfeld” (1989 - 1998)
Let’s give a big round of applause to Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George Costanza (Jason Alexander) and Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) for giving us the best nine sitcom seasons of our lives. Did you know it was actually George’s new girlfriend, Marcy, who came up with the “yada, yada, yada” expression? If you don’t do anything else today, watch this Seinfeld montage.
“Come On Down!” — “The Price Is Right“ (1956 - 1965) (1972 - Present)
I don’t care how old you are, you have heard — at one time in your life — a game show announcer say, “Come on down!” You know the game show: “The Price Is Right.” And you know the master of all game shows: Bob Barker. The point is, no matter what year you were born, somewhere, on some network, “The Price Is Right” has been on your radar. Unless you live in a third world country. Check out this “Come on down!” video with Bob Barker.
“Sock it to me.” — “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In” (1967 - 1973) The comedy team of Dan Rowan and Dick Martin hosted this psychedelic, fast-moving comedy series that featured series regulars Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzzi, Judy Carne, Goldie Hawn, Arte Johnson, Jo Ann Worley, Gary Owens, Alan Sues and Henry Gibson. Judy Carne became the butt of the joke when she said, “Sock it to me.” They doused her with water or gently assaulted her with rubber objects. Be careful what you say out there.
“Dy-no-mite!” — “Good Times” (1974 - 1979) “Good Times“ lets us in on the lives of Florida (Esther Rolle) and James Evans   (John Amos) and their three children, J.J. (Jimmie Walker), Thelma (Bern Nadette Stanis) and Michael (Ralph Carter). “Episodes of Good Times deal with the characters’ attempts to survive in a high rise project building in Chicago, despite their poverty” ... and hilarity ensues. Fess up, you know you said the word “Dy-n-Mite!” every time something good happened in your life back in the day, thanks to the adorable J.J. (Although nobody says it better!)
“God will get you for that!” — “Maude” (1972 - 1978)
Who remembers that “Maude“ was a spin-off from “All In The Family?” Yes, Maude (Bea Arthur) was Edith’s cousin —  who  somehow got the spunk gene in the family.  And who remembers that Maude was a “liberal, independent woman living in Tuckahoe, NY with her fourth husband, Walter (Bill Macy)?” And if you didn’t know all that... (say it).
“De Plane, De Plane” — “Fantasy Island” (1977 - 1984)
Picture it: a remote tropical island resort where all your dreams come true. Well, not exactly. There were glitches in those wishes. Mr. Roarke (Ricardo Montalban ), assisted by his adorable miniature side-kick Tattoo (Hervé Villechaize) had the best of intentions of making his guests live out their fantasies, but what kind of show would that be if everything were perfect? You could count on one thing. The beginning of each episode,  a plane arrived with their (we’re presuming rich) guests. Tattoo always alerted Mr. Roarke, by pointing up to the sky, announcing: “De Plane, de plane!” Welcome to Fantasy Island.
“What U Talkin’ ‘bout Willis?” — “Different Strokes” (1978 - 1986)
“Different Strokes” starred Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges (Arnold and Willis Jackson), Conrad Bain (Phillip Drummond) and Dana Plato (Kimberly Drummond) who were perhaps one of the first racially mixed families on television.  Arnold didn’t hold back when Willis came up with some bizarre and/or surprise monologue that got his goat. “What u talkin’ ‘bout, Willis?”  Too cute!
“Book ‘em, Danno.” — “Hawaii Five-0” (1968 - 1980)
This may be my all-time favorite detective show based in Hawaii (sorry “Magnum P.I.”). And it may well just be because of one of my all-time favorite detective catchphrases: “Book ‘em Danno.” Detective Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) worked so well with Danny Williams (James MacArthur) in each episode to put the bad guys in hand cuffs. (And who didn’t love that theme song!? Check it out here and turn the volume up and enjoy!)
“Say the secret word and win a hundred dollars.” — “You Bet Your Life” (TV version, 1950 - 1961)
Groucho Marx was probably the first choice to host this quiz show that featured a show chocked full of competitive questions — and some hilarious conversation. As it turns out, the comedian was the perfect host. As in all quiz shows, there is money to be won. But, with the right “word,” a contestant could win an extra hundred big ones. All they had to do was say the secret word. Easy Not so fast. How many words are in the English language? But we loved to hear Groucho announce: “Say the secret word and win a hundred dollars.” Sometimes they did. And that was seriously exciting.
“Say goodnight, Gracie” — “The George Burns And Gracie Allen Show“ (1950 - 1958)

M.A. Larson Roasts the Fandom
Well, originally it was his, at least. From what we can gather, it seems this was an old script they had lying around from when Larson worked on the show, and they’ve retooled it to work for the current season.
Who exactly did the rearranging is still a mystery, although if I had to throw a guess out there, it would make sense that this season’s story editors Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco (otherwise known as the Lady Writers) were the ones giving the script its updates.
If so, that explains why it came out so fantastically despite Larson saying he wasn’t happy with the final product.
From what very little I know about the industry, it’s not uncommon for writers to watch their scripts be turned into something totally, soul-crushingly different from their original vision. So, I’m hoping that behind-the-scenes communication issue is fixed. Even if it doesn’t always affect episode quality, we ended up losing a good writer over it, and I can’t imagine it feels good to put your heart and soul into something only for it to be changed before it airs.
That being said, it’s almost ironic that it happened with such a meta episode. Larson usually gets blamed for the Twilicorn fiasco despite his original script being totally different. So it’s kinda funny that Magical Mystery Cure got him flak for years and this episode — which ended up being sort of an encore after his grand finale with Amending Fences — is yet another episode that was changed without his consent but this time it ended up being pretty well loved (on the whole).
Life has a weird sense of humour like that.
I had to start with that behind-the-scenes stuff because I’m shocked—shocked—that they managed to make an episode that’s somehow even more meta than Slice of Life.
Not only that, but because of its weird production history it’s an episode that perfectly blends the old feel of MLP with the new. I really can’t tell you how much of Larson’s script they kept intact (he seemed to imply not a lot, but it feels so much like classic MLP that I almost refuse to believe some of this stuff wasn’t from him), but this is such a weirdly perfect episode because it brings that Return of Harmony feel to the season 7 version of these characters and this world.
And to top it all off, as a long-time fan of the show whose been in the fandom since season 2, the ponifed mirror it holds up to the fans is just hilarious.
Tumblr media
Pictured above: us rn
Like, actually the best thing. It’s a funny episode for causal fans, but for hardcore fans, it’s amazing—and any commentary that can add a layer for those in the know, but not detract anything for the little fans or casual viewers, is just golden.
It also sort of exemplifies what there is to love about Larson. Even if nothing but his original concept ended up being used (still don’t believe that), it makes perfect sense that this came from him. The smart edge he was willing bring to Pony will forever be missed.
But, at least we have one last hurrah! Sort of. So without further introduction, allow me to fangirl over and pretend to analyze an episode about the dangers of missing the point by over-analyzing!
… wait.
Not Just a “It’s Just a Kids Show” Argument
Tumblr media
Okay, so when you’re a huge fan of cartoons made for children, you tend to come across this argument a fair bit: it’s just a kids show. Why are you looking so deep into it? Don’t over-analyze it, it’s made for kids.
At glance you might think that’s what this episode is arguing, too, that if adult fans want to watch, they should keep in mind that it’s just for kids and not overthink it.
But that argument tends to come with the connotation that kids shows aren’t deep at all and can’t be meaningful because they’re made for kids. And it doesn’t take me to tell you, a cartoon fan, that that’s just not the case.
This episode isn’t devaluing what kids enjoy, or even saying all deep thought over what was intended to be fun, silly, and heartfelt is bad. But it is a reminder not to get so lost in that overthinking that you miss out on what the show’s really about: the fun, silly, cute horses learning cheesy, but still incredibly earnest lessons on life, love, and (of course) friendship.
And this isn’t exactly a middle finger to the fandom, either---I’ve seen it taken that way a few times, too. If you remember Slice of Life and even the convention scenes of Stranger than Fanfiction at all, you’ll remember M.A. Larson (who wrote Slice of Life) and the rest of the staff actually love our creativity and world-building. They dedicated an entire episode, the show’s 100th, to characters the fans created themselves.
And yes, even our analysis community is well-loved by the staff if Quibble Pants is anything to go by (his character may grate on Dash’s nerves from time to time, but he’s also portrayed as incredibly smart, inventive, and learns a lesson in the end to become a better pony).
So, please don’t misunderstand: they do still love our passion and even our crazy, overly-deep ideas, and you can even make criticisms if you want (I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s an anti-criticism thing, either), but the point is that we need just need to keep things in perspective, or else miss out on the fun of it all.
And, that this show is meant for kids. Not “just for kids,” like that’s a bad thing, but that kids are, have been, and will forever be the target audience, and that’s something we should always have a respect for.
I’ve always loved that about the staff. That they have a great love for the young fans of the show, and they’ll always put them first. It’s the way it should be, even with a an older fanbase that they also love dearly (despite our many, many flaws; which come to think of it mirrors the lesson the mane 6 are trying to teach).
So, yeah, this is one of the funniest lessons the show has had to date, and but also one that carries a lot of meaning, for fans young and old.
I warned you that this would be a lot of fangirling.
Character Growth, Comedy, and Criticisms
Tumblr media
God, this episode has so much going for it… I’m just sitting here trying to think of where to start and remembering just how much there is to enjoy here.
Okay, for starters, he nailed the fanbase’s biggest hangups over the years:
Fluttershy: Learning the same lesson over and over Pinkie Pie: Considered flanderized when she seems too silly/not grounded in the moment (think Filli Vanilli, the colouring book in Princess Twilight Part 1, or the balloon distracting her in Three’s a Crowd) Rainbow Dash: Hardcore fans claim she’s perfect, is best pony Twilight: Was better before the wings, or would’ve been better if ____ had happened Applejack and Rarity are hilariously switched. Rarity is the background pony getting all the criticism every time she does anything (has an episode), and Applejack is the one that’s praised to the point of obsession.
Spike, ironically, doesn’t have a role in this episode, and you can tell just based on some of her lines that Starlight took his spot in the rewrites (Spike totally would’ve stayed behind with Rarity in the exact same way). I’m a bit bummed they didn’t put in a joke or two for him, because he did write in that journal, too. They could’ve even commented on whether or not he’s considered part of the friend group (a major character or a supporting character), but there’s only so much running time.
I love that the CMC just got popular on the playground for their entries. Like, no drama there, they’re just loved because they’re adorable and sweet, and isn’t that accurate though?
Also: they actually are going to have an episode later this season about that summer camp idea they had, called Marks and Recreation. And some people wonder why I love the later seasons.
And I like that by calling some things out in-episode, like Fluttershy’s baby steps or Pinkie’s silliness, they actually get a chance to say, yeah, you might be legitimately right, but here’s how they’ve grown as characters.
Even just listening to some of the lyrics of the song: Rainbow Dash’s ego is huge, but it gives her the courage to fail, Pinkie might seem overly excited on the outside, but it’s just because she’s so excited to be with her friends. Twilight’s was a bit rushed to get to the chorus, but aside from hers, they each get at the heart of why these characters are so compelling and endearing and I just?
I just really love that.
Oh and I want to take a moment to appreciate the design of the song, because Daniel Ingram puts in so much freakin’ thought to these sometimes. The point of the song is that their flaws are what make them who they are, and by extension make them friends, so what does Ingram do?
Not only gives them each a verse to detail one of their biggest flaws, but lets them come together in perfect harmony for the chorus. That perfectly matches the meaning of the song.
If it sounds similar to another season 7 song because of that harmony, you’re not wrong: it’s similar in structure to Until the End of Time (or was it When We’re with Our Team?), only that was half a joke song: the point was that in comparison to Starlight and Trixie, the girls have a ridiculously easy time getting along. Super catchy and upbeat, but also a lot more vague than Flawless because it’s focusing on just how well they get along after all this time of being friends. So, this episode’s song ends up being the more meaningful of the two.
Oh, and then there’s Starlight Glimmer in a supporting role! See, this season has been letting her play the supporting role instead of always being the star or costar in her appearances, which really helps integrate her more and more into the cast. Even though she comes up with the idea of showing the girls they’re appreciated, she doesn’t overshadow their efforts to solve the problem.
A part of me doesn’t like that she had to take Spike’s role in the episode to do it, and again, that would’ve been remedied if Spike had a small joke about being on the run from crazy fans asking how close he is to Twilight and the girls really. It’s not like whoever revised this episode didn’t have a great sense of humour too---if nothing else, our Mystery Editor(s) definitely must’ve put in Starlight’s line about needing to copy the Communist Manifesto, so I’m sure they also could’ve reworked something funny for Spike quickly.
But at least we have a Spike episode this coming week to help make up for it.
Back to this episode, can we just.
Can we JUST appreciate the comedy?
Not even ‘oh this episode made the giggles’ but just like... the sheer variety of kinds of jokes? We had slapstick, we had sight gags, we had things floating into frame, we had the frame moving over to the punchline, we had ridiculously hilarious expressions, character humour, smartly written lines, and to put the cherry on the cake of course, we had meta humour.
Like, this episode is a comedic gold mine.
It makes me appreciate the different kinds of humour the show has to offer. Dr. Wolf just recently made a video on the lack of slapstick in MLP in recent seasons, and as a fan of director Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, At World’s End, Baby Driver, etc), I recently watched a video on how he does visual comedy like no other director. Give it a watch if you’re interested.
So, yeah, since most episodes have one or two styles of comedy they rely more heavily on, it’s just refreshing to get a full buffet.
Oh, but even after the lesson, I should probably still say something critical in this this critical analysis, shouldn’t I?
Well, fine.
For one, the townsponies viewing the mane 6 differently once they know their personal thoughts is somewhat reasonable, but if you take a step back from the meta of the episode, it does put this episode in the category of: the town acts like jerks for an episode... episode
I find it hilarious and don’t have much of a problem with it, but I realize that for some, this is an actual problem because this is supposed to be such a loving, kind world.
At least this time there’s a reason for them to go total Jerk---unlike, say the marketplace in Putting Your Hoof Down or the squabbling delegates of Princess Spike---but for some this is going to be an issue.
Also, you have to wonder if they censored some things in the journal, because otherwise, everyone now knows Daring Do is A.K. Yearling...
... unless that’s what upcoming episode Daring Done is about. Have I mentioned I love the continuity in this show?
Oh, and I think I might make the details section its own post this time. Normally save a space at the bottom to highlight small details I liked in an episode, but this post has already become a huge love-letter, so I should probably spare your dash from being eaten alive.
So, overall, to me, this episode is kind of masterful. Larson was definitely the man for the job: I can’t think of anyone else who could so eloquently put the fandom in their place without straight up insulting them---or have the cojones to try! All while reminding the fandom of all the reasons there are to like the show in the first place!
Brilliant in concept, and in execution, so even though I spent this post praising Larson himself, I’ve also gotta give some love to the current staff members for this one. Like I said, it blends classic MLP sensibilities with all the polish, development, and emphasis on continuity of the current seasons, and for that, it’s a truly unique, wonderfully insightful episode.
And right off the heels of The Perfect Pear, which was an emotional masterpiece in my eyes, too! Right now, I’ve gotta say, it’s good to be an MLP fan.
Need more pony? I always do. That’s why I have all these episode reviews and editorials for you! And to make it easier, have the last three things I’ve done:

OKAY BUT concept: Lazytown, but it’s meant for teenagers
Okay but- imagine how different Lazytown would be if it were meant for teens while STILL trying to be educational
Like, it’s a few years into the future, and all the kids are now in middle or high school (depending on age. I like to think Ziggy 13, Stingy and Stephanie 14, and Trixie and Pixel 16)
Of course, Sportacus, Robbie, and the other adults would all treat the children differently now that they are older. They are open to talk to the kids about more mature and serious topics
The teens are a really confusing time to be going through, and I’m sure Sportacus would still be just as supportive and willing to save the day...he just does so in different ways now
The show would cover and educate teens on  issues that teens might go through like
*Ziggy being self-conscious about his weight to the point where he just- stops eating and Sportacus tells him that how his body FEELS is more important, rather than how it LOOKS (covering body positivity, eating disorders, showing that boys can have that problem too)
*Stingy developing his very first crush on someone and becoming very clingy and possesive and needing to be taught that people are NOT like things and you can’t just CLAIM a person as yours (covering consent and healthy relationships)
*Steph getting her period for the first time and she and the Mayor have no idea wtf is going on (cuz lbr, the mayor is kind of dumb) so Sport’s crystal beeps and they’re like “she’s bleeding!” and Sport knows what’s happening but doesn’t know what to do so they actually call Bessie for help. But after that, Sporto starts carrying pads/tampons along with him just in case cuz you gotta stick out for your friends
*Given the amount of time Pixel spends with computers, I’m sure you can make at least one episode on internet safety with it. Pixel’s crush on Stephanie might be good material for episodes on teenage romance and healthy relationships too
*Trixie maybe starting to realize that she’s “not like other girls” and doesn’t really pay much attention to boys like they do (covering sexuality) Perhaps she even likes Stephanie a little which could add the element of a love triangle
*Maybe in that same episode, Sport teaches them about gender and sexuality in general and he brings up non-binary gender and Robbie overhears and identifies it with himself, giving us a message that it’s never too late to come out or discover who you are
*Imagine the drama of an episode where one of the kids gets their hands on a cigarette and Sport catches them just before they’re about to light it and for the very first time EVER, he’s visibly VERY ANGRY at and DISSAPOINTED in the kids, but it’s all out of a place of concern
*Or an episode where Robbie slips Sport just ONE shot of alcohol in secret and given how sensitive his body is to just SUGAR, Sport instantly gets alcohol poisoning which leads to Robbie freaking out and probably asking the kids for help or something because not even sportscandy is fixing it (teaching kids to be careful around alcohol and also what to do if a friend happens to get sick)
*Sport shown to actually be overwhelmed with worry about the safety of people in town every once in a while and having anxiety over it, and being confused because he goes outside a lot and eats healthy so WHY is it happening? And Robbie who also dealt with anxiety issues in the past actually telling him that sometimes, that’s not enough and how sometimes, medications and therapy may help (teaching that it’s okay to let people know you aren’t always ok, and that you shouldn’t hide it)
And of course, Sport would STILL be promoting a healthy lifestyle in general. He’s the cool high school health teacher dad, who’ll talk to the kids about anything they want to know, from puberty to sex to crushes, anything. And Robbie has toned it down on the schemes a bit (since the kids are older and much less guillable now so there’s no point) and has warmed up to the kids a bit now that they are older. But, he’s still the lazy insomniac we know and love. Maybe sometimes, ...Robbie might even be a better teacher in terms of MENTAL health than Sportacus even, given all the stuff that he himself has dealt with having
...Not to mention, an older target audience opens up potential for Sportarobbie to actually be a thing?
There’s just- so much potential that Lazytown could STILL have, even if it weren’t meant for younger kids
This is just- something that I really really want and like to think about
EDIT: Some MORE ideas for you since I came up with more
*Pixel’s crush on Steph just getting bigger and bigger but he has no idea how to talk to girls, so for whatever reason, he asks ROBBIE for advice on how to do that, who ends up bringing out Rottenella for him to practice on
*That ends up being a bust given that Rottenella can’t talk, so he ends up asking TRIXIE to help him practice and even after realizing that the girl he has an eye on is Stephanie, ...she helps him out anyway even if it hurts, because Stephanie and Pixel are her friends and she actually....sacrifices her own feelings for theirs
*Sport is the one person that Trixie can talk to and vent to about her feelings for Steph, being the one guy she can trust, and then Sport totally hits us with the feels by being like “I understand what you’re going through....the person I like wants me out of town forever.”
*Robbie going through one of his depressed states during the winter holidays (perhaps seasonal affective disorder? The episode covers depression) and isolating himself around Christmas because his self-esteem is in the gutter and he’s convinced that nobody wants him around, so he’ll spend the holidays alone, and Sport is just heartbroken and like “No, you’re very wrong, we WANT you to come be with us and we love you” and we finally get a translated performance of “Aleinn um Jolin”
*Robbie reprogrammed Sugar-Pie to act like a normal dog, but one day he stops functioning  and is beyond repair and basically “passes away”, and everyone else is like “??? but it’s a robot, just make another.” But Sport reminds the kids that regardless, this was someone that Robbie was close to and that they should let  him grieve and be there for him (covering loss, death, and the stages of grief, which is something everyone goes through at some point)
*Bessie becoming the unofficial mom that helps the girls out with the things that Sportacus and the Mayor might lack ability or knowledge to help in (like, bra shopping and shit like that because the idea of momma Busybody is just great, you guys)
*Being the youngest, Ziggy is just entering high school and the older kids support him and help him get used to the transition from middle school
*At least one episode with the trope where one of the boys is dealing with their voice cracking due to puberty (Stingy, because he would be the funniest)
*There is still a Bing Bang at the end of each episode, but each one is different where sometimes, a different character sings it, or the music changes genres or parodies some sort of pop culture reference
...You can make at least 12 episodes out of all this? That’s like, half a season right there
ANOTHER EDIT: I’ve noticed how a big handful of you said that you fucking want this? Well, I’m not stopping you? Everyone, be my fucking guest if you wanna contribute to this in any sort of way.  Actually...it might be kind of fun, making this into a sort of group project (collaborate on art, fics, etc) You guys can like, message me if that sounds cool

HE KISSED HER HAND. A fucking doctor kissed a nuns hand people, how scandalous & this was THE MOMENT I KNEW I WAS CORRUPT AND WAS GOING TO HELL, I AM SATAN I WANTED THE DOCTOR TO KISS A FREAKING NUN ON THE MOUTH LIKE WTF WHO RAISED ME? MY MOTHER WANTED IT TOO SO IDK BUT THIS KILLED ME, LIKE R.I.P HERE LIES GABBY, I WAS IN THE GROUND DECEASED. I’m actual trash. Someone dispose of me in the proper bin #recyle
for real, this is when I really knew that I was never going to love any other show like this and I allowed it to ruin me
BUT HONESTLY WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING? THATS A BOLD MOVE
BOLD IN GENERAL BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW IF SHE LIKES YOU BUT BOLD x1000 BC SHE IS A NUN, YOU KNOW MARRIED TO GOD, VOW OF CHASITY AND ALL THAt??
What if she would’ve freaked tf out or told sister Julienne? I don’t even know. I’ll just be grateful for how things turned out
“At this moment I only know I’m not turning my back on you because of you but I’m doing it because of him” AHHHH, DONT WORRY BBY GOD LOVES U AND UNDERSTANDS YOU LOVE HIM AND THE DOCTOR, LOSE THAT HABIT AND GO PROPERLY KISS PATRICK 😭
Sister MJ judging the baby contest is the purest thing & I need it to cleanse my disgusting soul that wants a dr to get with a nun #notsorrythough
“In Nonnatus we were good at tending other’s wounds and there were times I felt we were all each other’s children..” brb I’m crying I love that they’re like a family 😭💕💔
I’m so happy they didn’t kill Nora and she actually was happy in the end. I really wasn’t sure for a moment (obviously when I first watched lol)
“ Free reliable contraception came too late to help her, but in time the scientists triumphed. Her daughters and granddaughters lives remained transfigured, long after man left fleeting footprints on the moon.” Vanessa always knowing what to say in the end.
Lets see how the pill is going to be reintroduced this series, I’m interested  in how it’s going to play out.
I’ve said that so many times though so I’ll be done
The End.

Am I making this a thing too often? Oh well, I HAVE THOUGHTS IM SORRY
Series 6 is finally here & the first episode was pretty intense so I’m watching it again & I guess just posting my thoughts that no one actually asked for
- COLOR! Or COLOUR, either way new intro
- Ok I actually really like this, time are changing #LetsGetIt1962
- Shelagh and Angela omg, Tim shaving! Cute Turner Morning but now that I’ve seen this once, this could’ve been a chance to show Shelagh having morning sickness
 - Sister MJ dancing is the cutest thing
 - welp here comes Sister Ursula ready to ruin everything. If she wants to “gyrate” let her wtf
- Patsy fixing Delia’s hair is cute but let’s be real Patsy’s needs the fixing - Ugh again Sister U, go away
 - welcome home fam, it’s about to get real
 - I miss my bby Trixie but I’m not going to dwell on it because I know she’ll be back - like the minimal food isn’t even the worst of it, just get ready. *** ALSO, Sister Ursula is lowkey petty with that line “don’t sit down yet please, the mother house will be calling soon” She’s knows what’s about to go down and is enjoying it.
 - Sister Julienne’s voice cracking, she looks so sad. My heart. Why would she be demoted?! I still don’t get it.
 - * Awkward clapping *
 - So did Patrick not notice Shelagh was constantly sick and carrying around those rennies?
 - “Biscuits are for fainters”, which is funny because she tells Mickey later on to go with her and find the biscuit tin.
 - No Patrick we’re not having a raffle lol
- “We’re taking a gamble is you ask me” Shelagh’s accent sounds so cute in an serious tone haha
- Sister MJ’s little angry moment with the duster, I feel.
- Can we see sister MJ with Angela please? - Why does Mickey need a patch for astigmatism? My brother has it in one eye and always just wore regular glasses. I feel the glasses struggle though, I love my frames but I hate wearing them. Okay off track whoops -
 - I knew the husband(Lester) wasn’t to be trusted from the get. - - WHERE DID SHE TAKE THE DAMN TV?
- aw Tom.
 - That’s all lol. I don’t know why this ring story isn’t that appealing to me? kinda boring
 - PATSY IN JEANS YES, HERE FOR THE NEW WARDROBES
 - Also all the cocktails, I love it. Barbara was some “practice” haha. Patsy’s toast was cute
 - That random guy telling Phyllis “give us all a thrill” and she cringed. That’s me
- Lol @ Barbara’s Zsa Zsa Gabor reference but she just died so RIP - - I wanna knock Lester tf out
- This is period drama indeed but sadly, this is not an issue of the past. -
 - Everyone feels bad for Sister J
 - “No I can’t prescribe, because I’m only 15!” 😂😂 I’m dead. - I wish he would get more screentime haha. I’m almost hoping he’ll feel weird about the new baby so he can have some kind of interesting storyline
- Sister W’s face telling Tim “comb your hair”, why does she make the funniest faces - “Cape Town Tummy” lol if that’s what you wanna call it
 - Thank the climate appropriate bri-nylon for Baby Turner - Can Patrick please make a joke about it? Like Fred can squeeze his wife’s ass, let Patrick at least have a good line
 - “Is it both ends?” wtf sister W😂 why would you ask?
 - Shelagh’s so polite “the smallest room haha"
 - IM LAUGHING BUT CRINGING AT SISTER WINIFRED’S FACE I LOVE IT -
- Lol here’s freco Fred
 - Why does it even matter if Barbara has a ring to show off Violet, we didn’t see yours lol -
 - Oh no he’s taking Mickey right
 - Shit yes he is, WHYY - this kid is so precious omg
 - Why would he tell is son this
 - THIS STRESSES ME OUT UGH I KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN
 - Coño this man pisses me off
 - Mickey 😪
- Damn it Peter why do you always have bad news -
 - "Television kills the conversation” no you kill the conversation
 - PHYLLIS’S REACTION IS GOLD
 - what are Patsy and Delia doing?
 - YES LESTER YOU’RE A DISGUSTING COWARD, I WISH I COULD PERSONALLY HURT YOU
 - my heart hurts but I’m also furious
- lol babs with pottery is symbolism of me handling university
 - Why was this relevant though, that could’ve been another Shelagh scene
- Yes Trudy with the knife. So strong. I’m here for her
 - HOW DARE SISTER U QUESTION SISTER MC’S FAITH
 - YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HER
- Trudy really walked her way over like that’s incredible, she just was hit so hard.
 - YES SISTER JULIENNE
 - I can’t wait till she storms out again bc that was empowering, forget that vow of obedience for a second
 - I don’t even care the Sister U is nice to Mickey, it’s too late for redemption I know what you say later to Dr Turner and it cancels out
- MUCAS EXTRACTOR
 - Shelagh’s best at that
 - Why was there no scene showing Mickey at the Turners !!? That would’ve been precious
 - Phyllis 💔 I freaking love her. Especially her with Trudy at the end
- “You contradicted my authority last night” YES TF SHE DID IM PROUD
- YES SHE LEFT, NONNATUS IS STILL YOURS SISTER J
 - SOMEONE GIF THAT JACKET PART
 - Yes Trudy. She played this so well
- I wish I cared more about Barbara and Tom
 - They’re cute but idk I just don’t care enough. The ring part at the end is cute because who cares about convention I’m here for that.
 - Oh no this is the part right
-  shoot yea it is. Sister Mary Cynthia 😪
 - PATRICK SHOULDVE PUNCHED HIM
- sister J not forcing her way in, I’m glad
- Sister MJ 💔 my freaking heart is shattering
 - Give Bryony an award for this
 - Such a heartbreaking, accurate yet beautifully performed depiction of mental illness
 - THE GROUP HUG, THIS IS WHERE THE TEARS STARTED
 - AYE COÑO SISTER J AND SHELAGH
- THIS IS WHERE I LOST IT THE FIRST TIME, RIGHT AFTER “IM SO AFRAID” - I’m going to insert a picture because I’m serious I was sobbing
 - Shelagh’s skirt is so pretty
- I’m here for her outfit, lets get it 1962
- Okay let me press play and cry again
 - Give Laura an award for everything - HER FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, HER ACTING, SHE’S SO AMAZING
 - Ah damn I’m crying again
- Sister J “I never stopped praying” omg💔
- I’m so glad she told her first.
- Why is Trudy’s mom a bitch? Wtf care about your daughter and grand kids?
- SNARKY PHYLLIS
 - what’s this bs.
- YOU DONT BLAME A VICTIM
 - I HATE HER MOM
- PHYLLIS BACK HER UP -
 - Patrick is so empathetic and understanding because he legit was on the other side
- “That means you can be healed"
- YES YOU CAN BE HEALED 💕
- If Patsy is in the next episode they should’ve just brought her problem with her dad for the next episode? Since this episode does seem jammed packed but it’s all good
 - PHYLLIS AGGRESSIVELY MAKING A COCKTAIL IS ME
 - except I’m a poor university student so it’s no cocktail
- Phyllis knows something’s up looking at Pats acting weird w/ Delia
  - Patrick suggesting Northfield. That’s character growth
 - GET SISTER U OUT OF HERE
 - PHYLLIS HANGING UP THE PHONE TO SET PETER STRAIGHT REAL QUICK
- Patsy and Delia having a cute moment. I think everyone wants a significant other like Delia? Like Patsy always shuts her out when something happens but Delia doesn’t leave
 - Does Patsy’s dad have Lou Gehrig’s disease or what’s it really called - oh ALS?
- Here come the rest of the feels. Phyllis is amazing, Trudy is amazing. I just love this freaking show. Phyllis never judges and truly helps and I just need her to give me a hug and tell me it’ll be alright - I do like this part. Good for you Babs. Defy convention, it’s 1962.
 - So much more diversity in the community centre I love it 💕
- Can we get a Latino/Hispanic family story on here please Heidi
 - ANGELA IS SO CUTE AH
- THEY’RE DRAWING YES
- I’m so glad for Trudy
 - THE PARALLEL
 - "Patrick you gave me a note once..” *internally screaming*
- I forgot Shelagh can draw
 - “PLEASE WILL YOU BE MY DAD” AW MY HEARTTTT
- but honestly though Patrick should’ve been freaking out with more excitement like it’s a legit miracle
- MY BBYS ARE HAVING A BABY
 - Doesn’t matter that was perfect for me, I love parallels it’s so cool
 - PHYLLIS WAVING BYE AWW And Vanessa Redgrave’s outro And the end. Wow what an episode, ready for next week
