remember when you used to be able to play snake with the… hold on what’s it called
hmm. don’t think i’ll be calling it that. anyways i was gonna say remember when you could play snake with the buffering circle on youtube but. now i have other concerns
garfield could probably understand the mechanics of driving a car but his legs are too short and stubby to reach the petals. this is also known as "Yoda's Quandry"
i've mentioned it before but French wikipedia has a fascinatingly distinct tone and style from the english one. attention to stylistic cohesiveness is neglected in favor of just pumping out as much tangentially-relevant info and analysis as you can find or come up with. some movie articles devote whole sections to goofs ("this character is shown wearing a watch in this scene, but doesn't have it in the next") and "clins d'oeil" ("winks", ie. easter eggs/references). check out this article about what i can only describe as old-timey french kazoos (note the scrollbar)
the scariest thing about old tv isnt really the racism or the sexisim because you kinda go in braced for that it's all the scenes where suddenly an actress is holding a lion cub or a chimpanzee is in the same room as a toddler, or suddenly theres a lion, or there's a chimpanzee again but it's driving a car, or holding a lighter, or holding fireworks. You just kind of watch in horror as over and over an actress performs with only 1960s tv film shootings best animal handling between her and the opening to Nope.
i actually dont mind tumblr posts reposted to pinterest. the 13 y/o "pinterest in the only social media my parents let me have" girlies deserve a little treat
