What Makes an Ad Campaign a Success?
Tumblr media
“What makes an ad campaign a success?” This is the question we often hear from advertisers who are planning to start an ad campaign. Well, the answer to this question solely depends on how appealing your ad campaign is to your targeted audiences.
In this blog, we are going to discuss 4 primary factors which can help you  make your ad campaign successful.
4 Primary Factors To Make an Ad Campaign a Success
Here are four primary factors that should be considered while running an ad campaign to make it a SUCCESS.
1. Powerful Tagline
Predictable and boring advertising taglines get rejected which results in the failure of a campaign. Therefore your campaign’s tagline should be unique and powerful, which can easily draw people’s attention.
Some Best Ad Campaign Taglines of All Time
Apple: Think Different
L’OREAL: Because you’re worth it
Airbnb: “Belong Anywhere”
Phonepe: Karte Ja. Badhte Ja
Paypal: PayPal Is New Money
Microsoft: ‘We All Win’
Burger King: ‘the whopper detour’
Spotify: ‘listen like you used to’
Cadbury: ‘donate your words’
2. Consistency
Consistency is the key to make any campaign a success. You have to advertise consistently if you want your targeted audience to remember your brand and products.
How does consistency help to make an ad campaign successful?
Build Brand Awareness
Build Trust
Makes Your Brand Memorable
3. Choosing the Right Advertising Platform
While running any campaign, one should always choose the right platform for their ad campaign. Campaigns can give different results on different advertising platforms. Now the question might arise “where to advertise your business?”
How to choose the right advertising platform?
Your advertising campaign depends on 3 factors: your business, Your targeted audience, and Your campaign goal.
What is your Business?
To choose the right platform you have to analyze what type of business you have.
Is it B2B or B2C
Is it local or worldwide?
How is your target audience?
After you have analyzed your business type, now you need to know who is your target audience? This can depend on:
Age
Gender
Geographical Location
What is the goal of your advertising campaign?
When selecting the right platform for your advertising campaign. First, you need to fix an advertising goal.
Is it to increase website visit
Is it to increase sales
Is it to build brand awareness
4. Set Advertising Budget
After selecting your advertising platform, now you have to set an advertising budget. How much money you spend on your campaign will greatly affect the success of your advertising campaign.
How to set an Advertising Budget?
Analyze your audience’s purchasing power, so that you can estimate a return for your advertising investment and set a budget accordingly.

Tumblr media
As the word 'Transit' implies transportation, this category of advertising is non-traditional form of advertising where different vehicles like Cars, Auto Rickshaw, Buses, Train Ads, cycles or any other moving objects become the medium for communicating to the target audience. Transit advertising is also a part of outdoor/ out-of-home advertising as the motive is to catch the attention of the audience on the move.

Tumblr media
Wall painting advertising ideas are a great way to promote your business with colourful, creative and creative wall painting advertisements by artists.
Introduction: Art of Rural Wall Painting Advertising & How it Effects Marketing
The art of rural wall painting advertising is not a new concept. It has been around for centuries and the colors and patterns used to be hand-drawn or painted by artists. With the advancement in technology, many people have started using digital tools to create these wall paintings.

I know it seems like striking on social media might not do enough, but as someone who has been outright obsessively using the internet since I was a child to the point that it is literally woven in my soul, been active and involved in online activism for about five years, and been using social media as marketing for about the same amount of time, I can confidently say that
THIS FUCKING WORKS!!
People base their entire businesses on their success on social media. They look at trending topics on twitter and don't see bite sized chunks of culture distilled to its finest and worst moments, they see market data! They don't see you as a single human being, they see you as a data point among thousands run through a probably AI assisted system that's prone to fucking up, that determines everything they're going to do.
How they're going to advertise, who they target it with it, what the general public wants. Every single major corporation uses data from social media websites to do this. Every. Single. One. Social media is a lot of things, and one of those things is a tool for business and politics. We know for a fact that social media politics bleeds out into the real world very fucking quickly.
Even if you can't strike financially, even if you have to go to work or school to survive, striking on social media is one of the best things you can do. Even if it's quiet. People are going to notice when thousands upon thousands of users across various sites go completely dark, and even more when some of them start getting real fucking loud about this. The US Capitalist Infused Government loves sweeping war crimes under the rug once they think the general public has forgotten about their atrocities and fallen into complacency. This system has been doing this for literal centuries.
Social media is just the newest and most expansive form we as a species have developed in the ongoing invention of ways to express our thoughts about things. It's the weirdest one, that's for sure, but executives pay attention to it. They don't often seek to understand it beyond a very basic level, because as I said, they view us as numbers on a screen, not as multifaceted incredibly and deeply fucked human beings. They do not seek to understand us on a personal level unless they think the cost of it won't outweigh the potential profit.
Pattern recognition is the tool of the moment. Machine Learning. Gathering endless amounts of data so we can replicate human existence through machines. You may think that social media strikes are ineffective because social media is just on the internet and it's "not real", but it is real! You are really doing stuff! You are contributing! Even if you're just lurking! Basic amounts of engagement can make a huge impact in a busted algorithm. Maybe you're not someone who would ever be drafted into an actual war-zone due to physical or mental health conditions, but you are probably a part of a key demographic of people that businesses are absolutely hungry for.
The budding adult has always been the target of greedy capitalists basically since this system was established and continued to get worse over time. The stage of your life when you are in the age range of 18-25 is an incredibly important transitional period, followed by a transitional period every six months until you lose sense of what six months even is because you haven't been happy in eight, and if you're in the 18-25 range currently, you got extra fucked by the pandemic. The world is in a turbulent stage and we are at the center of all of it and have been since 2001. Every single social media marketing expert will tell you the 18-25 demographic of social media users is a target demographic, because they are the most prone to extremes due to a life chock full of them.
We have to remember to be human, but we have to also know how to speak their language. They just see us as numbers? Let's show them some fucking numbers. Make posts about Gaza trend on every platform you have your hands on. Even if it's just liking posts, that gives them a slight boost in the algorithm. Commenting on posts is especially important on sites like Twitter and Instagram. But across every site the most important thing to do is reblog/retweet/share/send/copy link, whatever it is for that site, it is the biggest thing that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE looks at.
From a humble artist to a head of marketing at a billion dollar corporation about to have a meeting with a barely over 21 intern about how they need to run the twitter account, to said intern bumbling their way through adulthood with a job they only feel they're good at because they've been using social media since Skype was invented. We need to be loud, we need to make sure this can't be ignored, we can't sweep this under the rug. Mass media, especially coming out of the West, has been trying to censor, de-sanitize, and keep this issue quiet.
DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE SILENCED
There are tens of thousands of DEAD CHILDREN who have been BOMBED while in CIVILIAN AREAS and that is a FUCKING WAR CRIME.
THIS IS A GENOCIDE
Say that as many times as you can. Do not let it be ignored. A silent populous is a complacent one. Use your voice, even as small as it may seem. Make noise. Be loud. Be annoying. Don't let this be ignored. Talk about it everywhere you go. Do not let this be ignored.
Sometimes even we get disconnected from the real people around us. We base our sense of worth as a person based on the numbers going up or down but instead of developing a gambling addiction we just got angry about it but still fall into it because of cultural conditioning. But even if you only have let's say, completely random example, 70 followers. And only a small percent of them will see your post. Let's say maybe 20 on average, 30 on a good day, and even higher based on the machinations of fate. That's still 20 people who took time out of their day to read something you wrote, process something you created, share a part of your experience of living.
And likely they felt compelled to share it too, therefore increasing the spread of people who feel your influence. 20 people may not seem like a lot, but that has a major impact. Now imagine posts into the hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands and even millions. Those aren't just numbers. Each and every single one of those is just another person who might have reblogged a post because someone they like shared it, or because they wanted to spread its message, and that simple act causes a single post to have massive waves of effects from simple ripples.
Don't let yourself be discouraged. Don't think your voice or your impact "isn't enough to matter." Everything counts.
Don't let this be ignored. Don't become complacent. Know that every little thing counts, and to do every little thing you can.

We don't have good statistics or estimates for the population size of transmasculine sex workers. Part of that is a lack of data on sex workers in general, but part of it is that trans men are often not visibly trans when they participate in sex work. A lot of the trans men and transmasculine people who sell sex do so under a female persona. The escorting profile of a trans man might be indistinguishable from the profile of a cis woman – intentionally on his part – to attract as many clients as possible. This means that in practice, this segment of the transmasculine population are recorded as cis women. If we were to assume the population of trans men selling sex was accurately reflected by the profiles visible on escorting sites, we would likely come to the conclusion that trans men are a tiny group within sex work. The reality is that even openly trans men are much more likely to engage in more informal kinds of sex work, such as on apps like Grindr or with people they meet and in social spaces, just like cis gay men who sell sex. The transmasculine people who claim to be cis women whilst working do share needs with cis women who sell sex, but such resources do not serve all the needs of those hidden trans people. Trans men who are not socially or medically transitioning are driven to sell sex by the same forces which push women to sell sex, with the added pressure of saving money towards transition care and the certainty that they will not be able to sell sex under a female persona forever. Their clientele are also much more likely to shift towards gay and bi men when they do come out, which will change the experiences they have at work and may change their health concerns. [...] [...] So on what basis do I assume the real numbers are so much higher than the few ads we can find online? The impetus for my initial wondering was prompted by the fact I sold sex for many years before I even came out to myself as trans. And I continued to work under a cis female persona until I had been on testosterone for several months. I’m not arrogant enough to think I’m an exceptional case, so I kept an eye out for others like me.  As I began to speak about my experiences in sex worker group chats, on social media, and in meetings with advocacy organisations, I began to hear from many others in the same situation. Every time I speak up, I hear from more trans men and non-binary people who are hidden. No advocacy group is going to find these people unless they identify themselves this way, and transmasculine people are unlikely to do that when an organisation is explicitly geared towards women. I’ve heard from more trans men working under female personas than the total number of openly out trans men advertising across all of the escorting sites I use. I’ve never explicitly asked anyone if they have this experience – they’ve all come to me. And with every story I hear there’s a common thread: they want to medically transition, but fear losing their entire income when they do. Top surgery is a definitive end to being able to work as a cis woman for most, but even testosterone alone can be prohibitive given enough time. By three months on testosterone, clients were beginning to suggest I was a trans woman who’d had genital surgery, and were much more violent with me. This kind of violence rooted in transmisogyny won’t be everyone’s experience, but it happens.

Types of Digital Advertising
Advantages of Digital Advertising
III. Outdoor Advertising
Definition
Types of Outdoor Advertising
Advantages of Outdoor Advertising
IV. Differences between Digital and Outdoor Advertising
Key Differences
V. Conclusion
I. Introduction:
In today's world, businesses have several options when it comes to advertising. With the rise of digital technology, digital advertising has become a popular choice. But, outdoor advertising still holds its ground. In this article, we'll look at the differences between digital and outdoor advertising and help you understand the benefits of each type of advertising.
II. Digital Advertising:
Digital advertising refers to the use of digital channels such as websites, social media, search engines, and mobile apps to promote a product, service, or brand. It allows for targeted audience reach and measurable results, with the ability to make real-time adjustments. Digital advertising is cost-effective, but can be more expensive compared to other forms of advertising.
Types of Digital Advertising:
Search engine advertising
Social media advertising
Mobile advertising
Video advertising
Advantages of Digital Advertising:
Targeted audience
Cost-effective
Measurable results
Real-time adjustments
III. Outdoor Advertising:
Outdoor advertising refers to advertising through physical media such as billboards, transit advertisements, and street advertising. It has a large audience reach and can be cost-effective for high impact ads, creating a tangible impact and good for building brand awareness. However, it provides limited measurable results compared to digital advertising.
Types of Outdoor Advertising:
Billboards
Transit advertisements
Street advertising
Building advertisements
These are all types of outdoor advertising, which refers to advertisements that are displayed in public spaces outside of buildings. Each of the listed forms refers to a specific way in which outdoor advertising is accomplished:
Billboards are large, freestanding structures that display advertisements, often along highways and in high-traffic areas.
Transit advertisements refer to advertisements that appear on vehicles like buses and trains, as well as on subway or bus stations.
Street advertising involves posters, banners or signs attached to street furniture, buildings or on the street itself.
Building advertisements refer to the use of buildings or their facades as a display surface for advertisements.
Advantages of Outdoor Advertising:
Large audience reach
Cost-effective for high impact ads
Tangible impact
Good for building brand awareness
IV. Differences between Digital and Outdoor Advertising:
Key Differences:
Audience reach
Cost-effectiveness
Measurable results
Tangible impact
Flexibility
Creative limitations
Geolocation targeting
Environmental impact
Reach and frequency
Interactivity
Audience reach: Digital advertising allows for targeted audience reach through channels such as websites, social media, and search engines. Outdoor advertising, on the other hand, has a larger audience reach through physical media such as billboards and transit advertisements.
Cost-effectiveness: Digital advertising can be cost-effective, particularly when compared to traditional forms of advertising such as television and print. However, the cost of digital advertising can vary greatly depending on the specific channel and target audience. Outdoor advertising can also be cost-effective, particularly for high impact ads such as billboards.
Measurable results: Digital advertising offers measurable results through metrics such as clicks, conversions, and impressions. This allows advertisers to adjust their campaigns in real-time to optimize performance. Outdoor advertising, however, provides limited measurable results and relies more on brand recall and impact.
Tangible impact: Outdoor advertising creates a tangible impact with its physical presence, particularly for high impact ads such as billboards. Digital advertising, on the other hand, relies more on the use of metrics to measure its impact.
Flexibility: Digital advertising allows for real-time adjustments and changes to campaigns, whereas outdoor advertising typically requires more lead time for changes or updates.
Creative limitations: Digital advertising has the ability to use interactive and dynamic elements such as video and animation, whereas outdoor advertising has limited creative capabilities.
Geolocation targeting: Digital advertising allows for targeting specific geographic locations through GPS technology and IP addresses, whereas outdoor advertising is limited in its ability to target specific geographic locations.
Environmental impact: Outdoor advertising has a potential impact on the environment through the production and disposal of physical media such as billboards. Digital advertising, on the other hand, has a lesser impact on the environment but may consume energy in data centers.
Reach and frequency: Digital advertising allows for a large number of impressions and a high frequency of exposure to the target audience, whereas outdoor advertising has a more limited reach and frequency.
Interactivity: Digital advertising allows for two-way communication and interactivity with the audience, whereas outdoor advertising is limited in its ability to engage with the audience.
In conclusion, both digital and outdoor advertising have their advantages and disadvantages. The type of advertising that is right for your business will depend on your specific advertising goals, target audience, and budget. It's important to understand the differences between digital and outdoor advertising to make an informed decision.
V. Conclusion:
In conclusion, both digital and outdoor advertising have their advantages and disadvantages. The type of advertising that is right for your business will depend on your specific advertising goals, target audience, and budget. It's important to understand the differences between digital and outdoor advertising so you can make an informed decision for your business.

I know the kids in general aren't your thing but what are your thoughts on june egbert as a whole?
I've seen opinions on her existence be pretty varied (tho I guess more recent years its a widely accepted fanon and uh some ppl treat her as canon when.. she's... not lmao..) so I'm curious on your opinion if you have one!
(I personally don't subscribe to the headcanon but otherwise I don't have any strong feelings about it ppl can do whatever they want forever lmao)
I've been vocal about this previously, but in my opinion, all J. Egbert is good J. Egbert. June, John, Transfem, Transmasc, Transneu, Nonbinary, Genderfluid, Multigender, whatever the fuck, I don't care, have fun. Whatever gender people subscribe to the character isn't my business, and I have zero way of telling what it means to people unless they're being super blatant about it, which... Doesn't actually happen often?
I have no way of telling if people subscribe to transfem!June wholesale because that gives them comfort, or transmasc!John because that gives them comfort, or genderfluid!Egbert because that gives them comfort, or even just... Cis Trans Ally John, because that gives them comfort. These are all things I've seen before. I just choose to assume good faith, as is healthier, and respect whatever OP is tagging. If they're tagging art as June, it doesn't matter if she looks the same as she does in canon, or if she's pre-transition, that's June to them, so I'll tag it as June myself. If they're tagging art as John, I tag it as John. I have no way of knowing what their idea of the sex of this character is, and I'd find it weird to "correct" them, when they could very easily just be drawing a headcanon they've had for years and found major comfort and gender euphoria in. I don't know their life.
I think the way people have been using June's confirmation- not canonization to HS^2/HS:BC, she hasn't appeared yet- as a way to be transphobic in any direction is vile. I think if you use June as a way to be transmisogynistic, you're an asshole and a transphobe. If you use June as a way to be bigoted against trans men, you're an asshole and a transphobe. If you're finding a way to use it to be bigoted against nonbinary or multigender people, you're an asshole and a transphobe. I would sure fucking hope this isn't a controversial statement. There's no good reason to be a bigot. A disagreement over gender headcanons is an especially pathetic reason to reduce yourself to transphobia. Come the fuck on now.
More Discussion Under the Cut:
Miscellaneous thoughts include... 1.) She is not canon to Homestuck proper. This is because every piece of Homestuck media outside of literal Homestuck (2009) itself has been very open about the fact that they are not canon to Homestuck (2009). Homestuck (2009) is canon to Homestuck (2009), and nothing else is. HS:BC is canon to itself. HS^2 is canon to itself. The Homestuck Epilogues is canon to itself. Pesterquest is canon to itself. Hiveswap is canon to itself. They are not canon to Homestuck, though. These aren't condemnations of these pieces of media, nor is it a reduction of the meaning of this form of the character to people, it just needs to be stated that they're not canon to Homestuck. This is by design, and is also a well advertised fact about them. 2.) She was not "always intended", or "always canon". I see a lot of people say that June was being intentionally alluded to since 2009, and... That's just... Really blatantly not the case? Extremely magical thinking happening there. I think if June was supposed to happen in Homestuck, and was allegedly intentionally alluded to in Homestuck constantly... She would have happened in Homestuck? There's nothing wrong with an author getting asked to make a certain gender headcanon canon and then, you know, canonizing it because they think it's cool, nor is there anything wrong with an author realizing that an interesting arc for a specific character would be a gender transition in sequel material. It doesn't have to always be a "This was all planned from the start" situation. As someone who is a writer... That's genuinely just not really how writing works, and it really isn't where Hussie's politics were at during the time. Hell, I know a lot of genders, pronouns, sexualities, races, ethnicities, religions, and disability statuses were changed throughout me working on my own writing projects. They weren't all "Planned from the Start", and there's nothing wrong with that. 3.) June fans, I am so sorry. You all deserve so much more than these years of J.K. Rowling-tier """canonization""". This was said to be something that was totally going to happen... On Twitter... Through a magical Toblerone wish... Several years ago. And nothing has really come of it since. Not even a hint!! That sucks so much. 4.) Not to be blunt, but some people are really misogynistic about her. Transitioning doesn't completely change your personality. It doesn't fix all of your problems and flaws. Growing into femininity doesn't magically make you a ditzy bimbo girly girl whose only personality traits are Cute, Stupid, and Female. That's just fucking weird, dog. The way some people treat her status as a woman reads very... Caliborn-esque...

Posting this on main in hopes someone sees this and spreads the word, because I think it's important.
I just got an ad on Youtube, for what seems like a legitimate documentary, published by Epoch TV. It's a docudrama.
The ad topic? "Transgenderism". The trailer for this documentary presents the "Transgender Movement" as an agenda created by social media, corporations, the government, social media, etc. as a means to create a division between Parents and their Children.
This advertisement, EXPLICITLY says that. It says "They're turning our children against us [parents]". It says "'You should let your child transition. Or else their chance of suicide increases.' Therapists are trained to say that."
This so-called truth-revealing documentary presents the "Transgender Movement" as a war against Parents. It is FEAR MONGERING and MISINFORMATION. It is TRANSPHOBIA.
It's blatant lies if you're educated enough about trans people. It's not blatant lies if you're uneducated about trans people. It's an advertisement directed at anyone who isn't educated about trans people, who don't have the time, or energy, or education to look up real research studies.
It's an ADVERTISEMENT, directed at PARENTS. On YouTube. YOUTUBE. This is an advertisement I got on a video that was an anime song quiz. Anyone can get this ad.
Really YouTube? You're going to force everyone to stop using adblock, and then play this shit? This passed your advertisement standards?
This is what the website looks like. There is an embedded trailer if you scroll down.
Tumblr media
Beneath the trailer, there are 14 featured guests. Most of them are labeled as anti-trans activists or "investigating the roots of the transgender movement", or something similar, on a quick google search. They have "patriotic", conservative, and/or religious beliefs.
Tumblr media
Beneath that, there are three reviews.
Tumblr media
All three of these reviewers are in the movie. And profiting from the movie.
Pamela Garfield is a known anti-vaccination, anti-trans activist. More information can be found at this link.
Walt Heyer is a detransitioner. I do not know much about him other than the fact that he is also an anti-trans activist. More information can be found at this link.
I'm fucking pissed about this. There is already a lack of media literacy. There is already a lack of critical thinking skills, fact checking, etc.. There is already enough hate towards trans people.
It should be ILLEGAL to present your propaganda as fact and scientific research. It should be ILLEGAL to intentionally spread misinformation, advertised not only as "the real truth" , but also using it as a means to make money. It costs you $5 to watch the documentary. That is evil, preying on people who are uneducated or who won't google a researched statistic, and then manipulating them to parrot your beliefs.

can’t imagine the watcher decision wasn’t informed by the success of dropout, a streaming service I and many other people happily pay for, but this news undeniably feels like a disappointment in comparison, and am trying to articulate why:
1. amount of content. I can’t speak to when dropout first launched (I think I started subscribing late 2019?), but I know that when I joined, it already felt like there was an enormous backlog of series to explore—not to mention the amount that was also uploaded to youtube, albeit on a delay (I know I watched at least the first half of fantasy high s1 on youtube, if not the whole thing, and by the time I signed up for dropout, there was also s1 of unsleeping city, bloodkeep, tiny heist on the horizon, and s2 of fantasy high currently live streaming. not to mention the number of full episodes they'd uploaded to youtube of um actually, game changer, breaking news, etc. and how much more was then available on dropout)
I don't know what conversations were happening behind the scenes at dropout, I don't know in real-time what was subscriber-only and what was getting uploaded to youtube, or what the breakdown was of series getting created and solely released on dropout in comparison to content they were releasing for free. all I know is that when I heard about d20 and wanted to check it out, I was able to watch a good chunk via youtube, enough to know that I wanted more, and also to know that dropout had a whole lot else to offer that I was also curious about.
so that's one of the things that feels immediately different about the watcher announcement. they're teasing new series that will be available, but for the moment, it seems like everything that will currently be on the new platform is already available for free on youtube (to clarify, because there's been a lot of confusion on this front, they are not deleting their old content off youtube. all those videos are staying there). there's also a question of release schedule — are they talking about weekly episode releases of one season airing at a time, as was their youtube model, with stretches in between? I guess I come back to, if you're trying to go subscriber-only going forward (with the caveat that the first ep of a season will also get released on youtube, and also with the caveat that obviously dropout had to reach a certain level of success before it was able to release content at the volume, consistency and quality it does now), are you creating enough to justify the sort of wholesale transition they seem to be implementing? i'm not sure the answer is yes
2. paying/supporting artists. no one's arguing that you shouldn't pay or support artists, and there are incredibly valid critiques of how youtube hamstrings creativity and the issues with being beholden to advertisers. more creative freedom is a good thing. more independent artists is a good thing.
that said, it feels like there's a disconnect between what supporters are looking for from where there money is going and how watcher wants to spend it. the video really emphasized wanting to make tv-quality productions, and that they feel like they've hit a ceiling with the youtube business model in terms of achieving that aim, but are watcher fans looking for tv-quality productions? of the new series they mentioned, travel seemed like a pretty big element, which is obviously expensive. I think of new shows released on dropout, and they've clearly got solid production value behind them, but they're also still all filmed on a set (it's 3am in a warehouse!!) — even ambitious and expensive episodes of game changer are still basically shot in the same set of rooms, with the stakes raised from there (the escape room ep, bingo, etc.)
look, I don't work in digital media, and so I don't have a sense of what it costs to put on a show, but I can't help but look at some of watcher's stated ambitions that clearly need to have a significant budget behind them vs something like too many spirits (something I have to imagine has to cost a lot less, but which is just as enjoyable to watch) and wonder if part of the backlash has to do with how it feels like their current revenue is being spent/prioritized
and maybe the problem is that there's just a fundamental disconnect between the kinds of shows watcher wants to make, and what their audience is looking for, but if that's the case, it doesn't feel like moving to a subscriber-only system is the solution

depressing news for US people with mental health issues (depressingly unsurprising) - first part pasted below:
The rapid growth of the new 988 mental health hotline has been greeted with positive media coverage. As many people expected, calls, texts, and chats to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, now renamed “988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline,” started climbing immediately with the launch of the 988 number in July of 2022. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the nonprofit that was given centralized control over the 988 system, Vibrant Emotional Health (VEH), have been releasing monthly updates on key metrics.
In April 2023, compared to April 2022, calls answered increased by 52%, chats by 90%, and texts by 1022%. The trend was heralded by federal Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra to CNN: “Our nation’s transition to 988 moves us closer to better serving the crisis care needs of people across America. 988 is more than a number, it’s a message: we’re there for you.”
However, as previously reported by Mad in America, a percentage of people who contacted the former National Suicide Prevention Lifeline were subjected to geolocation tracing of their phone, computer, or mobile device. The Lifeline advertised itself as a place for confidential discussions about suicidal feelings but, according to its own policy, if a call-attendant believed a person might be at “imminent risk” of taking their own life in the next few hours, days, or week, the call-attendant was required to contact 911 or a Public Safety Answering Point to send out police and/or an ambulance to forcibly take the person to a psychiatric hospital.
Many Lifeline users described the experiences of betrayal, public exposure, police interactions, loss of freedoms, and forced psychiatric treatment as dangerous, harmful and traumatizing.
So, since the transition to 988, has anything changed? As contacts to 988 rise, how many people are getting forcibly subjected to these types of unexpected, unwanted interventions?
It appears detention numbers are climbing dramatically, too—even as VEH, SAMHSA, and many news outlets continue to obfuscate the facts publicly.

What is Transit Media Service and why does your brand need it?
Transit media advertising is a type of mass media marketing that primarily utilizes public transit to show advertisements, such as on buses, cars, taxis, trains, or any other means of transportation. Instead of using social media, websites, and other forms of marketing, businesses strive to reach out to their consumers with automobile advertisements, which are shown on the top, sides, and interior of a car, auto, bus, train, airline, and other vehicles. They can also place banners, digital advertisements, and other forms of advertising at hotels, roadways, hospitals, railway stations, airports, malls, and other locations. You can contact Four Square Media Services, India's Most Trusted Advertising Firm if you're seeking a company that can give Transit Media service.
Advertising through vehicles
Vehicle advertising is not a new medium for promoting your business, but it is still prevalent in India. Vehicle advertising, often known as transit media, is a cost-effective and efficient way to promote your business.
Buses provide a wide range of creative and large-format options that are visible to thousands of people every day. Inside the bus, numerous formats are employed, ranging from full bus covering with variously distinguished stickers to wrapping the sides or back portion with instructive material, to smaller and minimum format chances such as over door stickers, bus floor stickers, and several other formats.
Hoarding advertising
Four Square Media Services also provides advertising hoarding services. Large boards built around a building site that can prominently exhibit printed images and patterns are known as advertising hoardings. While these panels can be left blank, they're a great place to start for an outdoor advertising campaign. Naturally, the type of advertising shown on these hoardings will be determined by several factors, the most important of which is generally the firm that owns them. The contractor who arranges and pays for the hoardings advertising installation will frequently wish to use them to promote his or her own business, which is why so many hoardings advertising construction businesses use this trick. However, there are times when the hoarding panels are sold to third parties. Hoardings can occasionally provide a source of cash for a contractor to recoup part of their investment; for example, the panels may be supplied as blank canvases for local (or even national) firms to advertise on.
Hoardings advertising are typically located in areas with substantial public activity or footfall, which makes them lucrative as an advertising medium while also allowing them to serve as a useful tool for pedestrians. Hoarding graphics can give instructions, valuable local information, or convey information to the wider public about the construction project's plans.
Transit media service
These can take nearly any shape, but they generally include a few basic elements like branding, logos, and the advertiser's name, address, and phone number. Hoardings' distinctive format also makes them a fantastic candidate for a one-of-a-kind creative design that takes advantage of the long, wide-format with attractive images or graphic design.
