[Image Description: A colored 9 panel comic based on LoZ: Tears of the Kingdom. Panel 1: Zelda is seen from behind, a dialogue box saying "You don't deserve that sword" Panel 2: Link holds the Master sword, looking at her empatheticly, "But-" Zelda turns around, interrupting him, looking angry, "No!" her dialogue box glitches. Panel 3: Zelda's features turn more draconic, and she shouts at Link "You have failed her twice!" Link leans back, eyes wide and frightened. They're separated visually by the decayed Master Sword, that continued from panel 2. Panel 4: The Light Dragon looks forward and says "You failed me twice" Panel 5: "Zelda!" Link shouts. He raises a hand to his throat, crying. Curled around him, framing the panel is the Light Dragon. Panel 6: The Light Dragon's jaw is open, over Link's head, who looks up frighteningly. The Dragon hisses "Silence. You have had more than enough chances" Panel 7: Link flails forward in bed, panicked. He is in black and white, arm glowing teal. Panel 8: Link huffs, glow fading. He looks down, eyes wide. Panel 9: He covers his face, distressed. End ID]
I think Link's dreams would terrible... Especially after chasing Evil Zelda and the Dragon Zelda reveal... Just think of all the questions surrounding her fate, who she is and will be and what she thinks

Got another evil au idea, but I don't know how I want to do it... vote time!
Keep in mind that the results will make things take different amounts of time. I have a LOT of wips I'm juggling, which is why I'm uncertain in the first place. I think drawing will do the idea the most justice, though. Any opinions would be appreciated!

After everything he’s done, he’s finally had a guilty conscience...
But it mostly concerns Link from other people’s mock comics. To Link from my AU the so-called ghosts of the past will have other claims.
Let me explain, I've seen a lot of comics where BotW/TotK Link was portrayed as careless idiot, that can only create chaos. But my friend @pichichustudios went even further, and she decided to draw a reaction of Links from previous games to what Wild had done. And when I saw that, I thought, what if they had met him in person? They’d probably start gaslighting Wild, just like those parents with their "I worked three jobs at your age and you’re too lazy to make your bed".
{Previous drawing] [Next drawing}
What follows is just my thoughts. If you are not interested, then you don’t have to expand the post.
And after reading all these comics, I thought: why do I even love this character? This pyromaniac and korok sadist. Why am I shipping him with Zelda? If they’re together, they’ll obviously have a kind of toxic (or at least one-sided, which isn't good either) relationship because of Link’s lack of romantic feelings towards her.
But then I did a little analysis and it all made sense (if anything, these are just my headcanons).
The thing is, Link has a little bit in common with characters like Sponge Bob (from the classic seasons) and Shaggy (mostly because of his love to food). He is a naive, good-natured and hyperactive young man who has a rather small life experience and is accustomed to doing what more authoritative people tell him. Then he saw the harsh realities of this world and had to literally survive. He then went into a coma, after which his brain was almost completely cleared. Because of this, all the stories about his past seemed like legends to Link. The sad backstory of the Champions did not cause him much emotion, because he no longer remembered exactly how it happened. The photographs only partially restored Link’s memory, and he was unable to recall the full picture of the events. For the same reason, he did not have very romantic feelings for Zelda: he just forgot how he met this girl and how good it was together. I think that after the events of BotW he just got to know her again.
These posts are perfectly explain the relationship between Link and Zelda in BotW and TotK.
About his antics? He just took every opportunity to show his true nature.
About the Master Sword? I guess, this comic will explain it much better.
About the fairies, one of which Link ate in the top left picture? He's probably believed to Beedle, who told him that eating fairies will make anyone invincible.
And about koroks? Well, I think Link just got mad at them after spending a lot of time collecting 900 of them and recieving a piece of golden turd as a reward.
So, I don’t mind Link being a goof, but let him be kind one (like the same SpongeBob), not a mean jerk who causes troubles and doesn't feel sorry about it (like mid seasons Patrick).
Let's say this is an improved version of my Linktober 2022 entry.

The Hero Enraged
My fanfic for the first day of Zelink week 2023, organized by @zelinkcommunity
Prompt: Yearning
Rating: M for somewhat graphic violence
Wordcount: 902
WARNING: Major Spoilers for TotK Main quests and for the Dueling Peaks stable Penn quest
Note: I actually wrote this ages ago but I procrastinated finishing it for a while and it fit the Zelink week prompt very well. I’m still pretty new to fanfic, comments of any kind are very much appreciated
“Link… Open your eyes…” The princess’s voice was the first thing Link heard as he awoke, not fully sure of his surroundings. He saw nothing but a bright golden light. “Wake up, Link.”
Link took the time to take in his surroundings. The last time Zelda had woken him up like that was almost six years ago, when Link had woken up in the shrine of resurrection with no memory other than how to fight and his own name. Soon after, King Rhoam’s spirit set Link on a quest to save a girl whose name he didn’t know, but still stirred his heart when he heard it. Now, he was lying in the bed they shared.
Usually Link rose before his love and made breakfast for the two of them. Today, however, Zelda was leaning over his back, trying to shake him awake. He groaned and grabbed the pillow.
“We’re going to explore the tunnels under the castle today, remember?” Zelda said as she shook him. A survey team had recently discovered that there was a labyrinth of tunnels beneath Hyrule Castle while clearing some of the rubble, and Zelda was itching to explore it. That explained why she was up so early.
“Don’t make me have to pull you out of bed, sleepyhead!” She poked him in the cheek as she made that last remark. Link responded by grabbing the pillow, quickly turning around and hitting her with it before she realized he was up. “Sneak strike!”
Zelda fell forward onto the bed, and Link reached out his arms to grab her. She was laughing as he grabbed her sides. “Link, Stop it, get some clothes on!” Link smirked at the princess laying on top of him. “Ok fine, we’ll finish this tonight.” He got up and planted a short kiss on her nose.
---
It had been 8 months since Zelda woke Link up early, vibrating with excitement over what they might find below the castle. That was the last time Link had seen Zelda with his own eyes. The love of his life had been unfairly ripped from his arms once again. And now he didn’t know if he would ever see her again.
Link witnessed Zelda’s experiences in the distant past, and 1 month ago he discovered the truth about where his beloved was. He could hardly bare thinking about it without spiraling into dread, but he had to keep going. Zelda sacrificed everything that she was just to give Link a fighting chance. And so he made his way onto the back of the light dragon and claimed the Master Sword.
He wasn’t sure what to think now. He encountered Penn on top of the Dueling Peaks stable, who heard reports that the Yiga clan kidnapped Princess Zelda and were holding her somewhere in the Dueling Peaks. Somehow Link managed to keep himself together when he heard that.
He had to investigate the rumor. Link hadn’t spotted the Light Dragon since arriving in the Dueling Peaks, so maybe it was true. Maybe Zelda had been miraculously restored, and got kidnapped by the Yiga before she managed to find anyone else. The small hope of seeing her again led him to reminisce about that last morning. It seemed there was a chance that mornings like that would come again soon.
Link spotted the cage on the south side of the mountains. He flew across on his paraglider and kept quiet as he approached the cage, and there she was. She was standing in the cage, looking exactly as Zelda had when he lost her. “Link, help me!” She caught Link’s gaze, and called out for his help. Link activated Ultrahand and lifted the cage away from her.
“Only the Valiant, Golden Haired knight known as Link could move such a sturdy cage like that.”
Link knew right away that something was off. His Zelda would never address him like that.
She began to approach Link, chuckling. “I knew we’d lure in some heroic wannabes if we used Zelda as bait, but we’ve even managed to snare you!” Link reached back to the Master Sword in its sheath.
“Hey, don’t worry! Once we find the real Zelda, we’ll send her to join you! Promise!”
Link drew his blade.
“Alright everyone, this is definitely the golden-haired golden boy. Get him!” The false Princess revealed themself to be another Yiga assassin, one of the many who Link had beaten. Two more Yiga footsoldiers appeared in puffs of smoke.
Link had fused his sword with a wicked sharp silver Lizalfos horn. With it, he quickly took out the two Yiga who teleported in, who fled just as quickly as they arrived. All that was left was the one who was disguised as his Princess. He rushed at Link, who parried the assassin’s blade with his shield and deftly returned a strike to the clansman’s back.
The attempted ambusher was about to teleport away, but the hero wasn’t finished. He had never been this furious before. The assassin had dangled the hope of seeing Zelda again right in front of his face, but it was nothing more than an illusion. In that moment Link sought nothing other than vengeance. Link leapt at the fleeing clansman and drove the Master Sword into his opponent's chest. The body collapsed to the ground with a thud against the rock. Hylian blood stained the blade of evil’s bane.
Blood along his sword was a surprisingly infrequent occurrence for Link. The monsters he normally fought didn’t bleed, and he usually let the Yiga escape since they were more of a nuisance than an actual threat. Even their leader rarely posed a problem to him. But this time, his anger boiled over.

Gloom nightmares...
Link is totally sleep-deprived on his Tears of the Kingdom quest.
He NEVER rests. But despite all his efforts, it is inevitable: Link collapses and sleep wins over him... and when that happens, Link has the most vile and repulsive nightmares!! Puppet Zelda and her cruelty is always there, ready to mock and torture him.
PS. Nintendo could've gone waaaaaaaay worse with Puppet Zelda if you ask me
PS 2 If you are wondering, yeah, this is a shameless homage to that iconic Evil Dead 2 scene. Groovy! 😊

Link is a Hylian of few words, he wouldn’t dare inconvenience Sidon with his feelings for him. Especially not in the middle of a nationwide disaster. Besides… Sidon is already engaged to someone else.
Sidon is a Zora of too many words, but he wouldn’t dare let Link know his true feelings for him. Besides… it wouldn’t be fair to Link, because Sidon is engaged to someone else.
IF YOU ARE READING MY OTHER SIDLINK COMICS THERE IS NO ORDER IM SORRY IM JUST MAKING THEM UP AS I GO

[Tears of the Kingdom]
So this comic was in the works around a few days after the last TOTK prelaunch trailer came out. At the time, I saw the leaked artbook where Rauru and Sonia were first shown off. So when I saw the trailer, a theory came into mind. Combining the older trailers with this one, I had a theory that something was going to happen to Sonia (who I nicknamed Basket before her name was revealed). So from that theory, I started drawing this comic. Sadly, things got in the way and I couldn’t finish it before the game came out. I still wanted to complete it so here it is.
*spoiler talk at the bottom*
So I watched the story cutscenes and a friend play the game, and it turns out I was on the right track. I dont know if I should pat myself in the back or be devastated by that fact.

TOTK where everything is more or less the same except the dragon tears are as giant as the springs that Zelda went to, and Link has to wade through them to experience the vision. On top of that, after he sees the vision in full, he can relive that vision for as long as he stays in those tears.
Now, the reason why I want that is because I want to see Link witness the final memory and turn numb with denial and guilt and grief. It should not have surprised him the way it did; he knew in the previous memories she had planned to do it. But there were still more geoglyphs to search, still more time and hope for her to realize there was a different way, a better one that didn't ask her of so much.
He was wrong, of course. Destinies like theirs were never so generous.
Imagine that he appears expressionless, a stark contrast to his more emotional nature that has come out during gameplay. And yet his eyes are noticeably glazed over and he's frozen to the bed of the spring. The sages watch him through their vows, knowing this to be the last memory, and they feel it, immediately, that something is wrong. They desperately try to talk through their avatars, much to the surprise of their loved ones.
"Link? Link, snap out of it!"
He hears nothing.
And so the scene parallels to the off-screen moment Urbosa had with Zelda -- a careful Sidon wills his avatar to carry Link away from the cursed waters, and is pained when he's met with vehement resistance. Why would his wonderful friend drag himself back there, when whatever he saw tore his heart and shattered his soul? It wasn't good for him, to deal with grief in such a poisonous manner.
But for Link, he would weather the heartbreak in watching that bright, curious, ambitious girl sacrifice everything that made her who she was infinitely if it meant he could commit her face to memory. The Sheikah Slate that he took pictures of her with had been dismantled, and the Purah Pad contains no recollection of Zelda. He would watch his princess lose herself, over and over again, in that damned tear, than forget what she looked like.
He couldn't do that to her. Not again.
In the meantime, Tulin, Riju, and Yunobo have created a circle around him together, blocking the hero from hurting himself any further.
By this point, Link's expression is wavering, brows furrowed and lips pressed to a thin line. They don't get it, do they? All of the closest friends he had from an era past are gone; yes, Impa, Purah and Robbie are still alive, and they belong to that era too, but they didn't know him like the Champions did. Like Zelda did. She fought for him in death as much as he fought for her in life, and now he lost her too.
He finally collapses to the ground, shaking, and cries.
He had one job: Protect the princess. And he failed her. Twice.
