The reason why I don’t write 2012 Leo agsnt much because I can’t take it and I might end up give him even more than canonical trauma, and the other is the fact we got enough agsnt in the show itself. You can’t see it unless you really look and think about it.

i really just. cant stand rise. the character designs irritate me, the animation irritates me, the voice acting irritates me and the theme song is so obnoxious. ive watched exactly one episode and that was more than enough, the entire premise irritates me to no end. and i get that people enjoy it, even if i dont get why, but it really grinds my gears when people call the other shows outdated or whatever. like, rise wishes it could touch i, monster. rise seems goofy and feelgood, which is fine if you like that, but its so annoying when people just dismiss the other shows as dull or not as interesting. “funny” doesnt equal interesting!! and i know my friends are absolutely sick of hearing this rant but like. fuck i hate rise i really do. it seems tailored to a very young audience compared to 2k3 or 2k13- which, again, is fine! but lord im tired of seeing rise and rise only in the tags. even blocking all the associated tags doesnt help because people just tag as tmnt and the designs themselves are just so annoying to me that seeing them makes me mad

AHHHH you're too kind hahahhaha! Ah, the three fandoms I actively read fics for are Johnlock (John and Sherlock), Ineffable Husbands (Crowley and Aziraphale, Good Omens), and Rimmster (Rimmer and Lister, Red Dwarf), LOL. I haven't really strayed from those three fandoms in literal years unless I get nostalgic and feel like reading an old fave.

I also love Kingdom Hearts, used to be a fairly active in the Darkwing Duck fandom, Ninja Turtles, and I used to write fics for Sonic back in my teens, LOL. I've bookmarked fics from Fruits Basket, A:tLA, Megamind, TMNT (2K5 and 2K13 series) and Monk on my Fanfiction.net account WAAAAAAY BACK in the early 10's, before I joined Ao3. I haven't been back for........... 7/8 years? LOL. It's been awhile.

BUT if it's a fic for me, I've been gifted Freebatch, Good Omens and Sherlock fics before, and I loved them all. HAHAH. Ah.

Hi Callie, I have a quick q sesh for you if you don't mind... so, what do you think of the new tmnt comin' out this year? Do you think you'll watch it or nah? Do you have any opinions on the new art-style? What do you think of 2D animation? Do you prefer 2012's aesthetic so far? Sorry, I'm just curious to know what you think since the fandom has been greatly divided by the announcement of Rise, as you probably already know, and I was just wondering where your opinions fall as a fellow fan.

So far, Rise looks like it has a lot of potential. I had been worried and I’m so far not crazy over the character designs aside from April’s. IDK, I think they’re trying /tooo/ hard to make the guys distinguishable and I orefered the more simplistic approach 2k12 did. Some of the changes, like Raph being the leader and Leo seeming to be more of an immature trickster, also make me raise a brow.

Despite this, I really like the animation. It has an anime-like feel to it that can make for some great fights. I also like the focus on mystical themes since 2k13 was so heavy with sci-fi. And I am VERY happy to have it in 2D. I loved 2k12’s animation, but 2D is ultimately what I love and I’m glad that it’s back. And I can accept the changes and admire the creators for trying new things. But we’re going to have to see the quality of the stories first to see if these changes were a wise decision or not.

I have my worries, but I’m excited for a lot too. Is Rose going to be good? I have no idea. I assume that more will come out next month durind SDCC, but yes I do plan on watching it. If it’s good, I’ll stick to it. If not, I sinply won’t watch it. But either way, I’m excited to see the Turtles back on TV!

i like mona lisas character but the only thing i didn't like was raph changing her name and her just be like ‘yea ok w/e’ like ?????? no thats kinda shitty tbh? it just reminded me of white ppl being like ‘yea can't pronounce that lets give u a western name shall we?’ to poc. unpopular opinion but i still really don't like that they keep shoving romance into this show. the new ep was good apart from the scenes where raph just turned into a complete idiot bc there was a girl that they liked present (and i hate that they've done that with all of them its so annoying?? they just turn them into someone who is not themselves and that bothers me). i watch tmnt for the feelings i get about mutated turtles who have all this pressure to save the world and have a father who lets be honest is rly shitty and problematic bc he legit hits them every time they do something he doesn't approve of. not for the romance pls stop with the romance its rly creepy ok they are turtles.

You know how the turtles made all their own gear for their Vision Quest? Makes me wonder if Splinter taught them to make clothes or armor.

They made their gear in Heroes in A Half Shell, Vision Quest and their Owari outfit….

They hand crafted their weapons too, which means they can repair their weapons and with how many times their weapon broke (Leo and Donnie), it’s essential to have this skill. And yet from what I can see, Splinter does the fixing…
