TECHNICOLOR JACKASS
Sometimes looking the best means being the worst.
Features:
3 Armor Sets
5 Shaders
i'm sorry
For some reason, the original version was very popular on reddit
Originally made in protest of the Competitive Spirit set's un-modifiable decals, the bright and clashing colors aided my community service as "Embrace the Light Helper".
Tumblr media
For those unfamiliar, Embrace the Light was a Triumph from the first Guardian Games that required 25 Super kills in Rumble. However, being a free-for-all PVP mode that was popular with elite players and (at the time) having very little matchmaking, it wasn't uncommon for matches to pass so quickly that it wasn't possible to get a Super charged in the first place. Many complaints were made about this poorly-conceived Triumph, so I decided to take it upon myself to try to help the situation, entering matches and loitering in obvious locations so other players could get their Super kills.
Tumblr media
Things quickly escalated when other players noticed my efforts and began organizing around me, either attempting to protect me from non-Super attacks or simply taking turns casting their Supers.
Tumblr media
In the end, I helped somewhere in the ballpark of 200 Guardians get their Embrace the Light triumph, and a good chunk of those players remain on my Friends List today.
Unfortunately it's a lot harder to do something similar now since we can't change names freely anymore, but when I'm wearing the outfit in the tower people frequently stop and dance with me.

Raven and Starfire: Sleepover set and pajama designs
I'm back on my design BS. My friend is a part of a not for Profit cosplay organization called "The Bombshells". They recently put together a calendar of their sleepover in cosplay photoshoot. I thought it a was really fun idea and right up my alley. So I give to you my ideas for Raven and Starfire. I think I should do the Young Justice ladies or the Batgirls next.
As it always is with my work, happy zooming in on the details if you are so inclined. I'm kinda proud of Starfire's phone case and Raven's duffle LOL

So I’ve concluded that there are 2 possible explanations for the Titan having a Hooty sticking out of his eye:
1) This is simply a component of Papa Titan choosing to appear as an amalgamation of King’s family: glyph pajama pants for Luz, Bad Girl Coven t-shirt for Eda, & an eyeball parasite for Hooty
2) The Hooty backstory they had to cut for time was going to amount to “Turns out your house is the optic nerve of god.”

Undersea Alien collection by Shira S for @starfirecentral STARFIRE: A Fashion Zine

Shoutout to Per for coming up with the name actually XD
I’ve been avoiding making this post, because I have a lot to say about this collection, especially about my various inspirations as well as my design process. The former of which I’m going to try to condense underneath a cut, the latter I’m debating maybe making a second post where I show discarded design concepts/different looks I had to cut when finalizing my designs. I’m just a *teensy?* bit passionate about it all, as I put a LOT of time and thought into this collection.
WOW OKAY!!! I have WAY too much to say!!!
Initially, my idea spawned from a drawing I never finished of Kory in a mermaidcore look I designed for fun, when I was brainstorming ideas for this collection I decided to then take that further and use the ocean as my core concept. Kory’s from space which is like. unexplored and mysterious and like looks cool as shit. You can say the same about the ocean. I actually had a number of more conceptual ideas based off more specific sea creatures, alas, this IS a very small collection with limited looks, so I only did 4 underwater ones and only 2 of those being sea creatures (jellyfish)
What was also really amazing, is that around the time that I was designing these looks, Halle Bailey was doing press for the Little Mermaid movie, and when I tell you that every single red carpet I saw her step on my jaw fell open in “holy shit, that’s the vibe i want to get across” or this photoshoot she did. I’ve also used Chloe Bailey a number of times as a Kory reference and I think Halle’s face is actually perfect for her but that’s besides the point.

My last main inspiration i’ll touch upon is Miss Sohee. I think it will be obvious when I show pictures of some of her gowns, how her design aesthetic influenced me in designing the dresses my own dress. Fun fact! One of the aforementioned press tour looks was a custom miss sohee gown!! (the other one I used as inspiration is the purple one I include later)

FINALLY!!! here are more specific inspirations for each look!😄 (you can scroll up to compare, alas i have no room to include them side by side)

SAVAGE BULWARK
Easily the most complex outfit I've ever worked on, but you wouldn't know it by looking. I'm ridiculously proud of that.
Features:
5 Armor Sets
5 Shaders
holy shit the fucking fur
Let me tell you about fur. You see how the fit has the fur being all the same color? That's because I beat this outfit into submission after many, many hours of effort. This is what it looks like without all that effort:
Tumblr media
If it's not immediately obvious to you,
every piece of fur has different texture mapping
Ursa's forearm fur has its own textures and cannot be recolored
The Helmet's plume uses leather #1
The Chestplate's fur uses cloth #1
The Mark's fur uses cloth #2
Trying to use a single shader on these armor pieces results in wildly different colorations for what should be identical materials, resulting in the most time I've ever spent putting an outfit together.

Raven - Teen Titans
I found out that the classic Raven look was inspired by an Indian model so I created a new look for her ❤️

This titan has done a great job matching several different armor sets with the Phoenix Cradle exotic to make a cohesive outfit.
