Continuiations of the one I did for earth ponies! Here’s my headcannons on unicorns, featuring twilight (pre-ascension) and rarity <3

Text reads:

- The color of a unicorn’s magic is determined by their ‘aura’ color. This color glows from the ‘rings’ of their horn while performing magic.

- unicorn ears are more similar to a zebra’s in size and shape.

- The superstitious believe that the shape and length of a unicorn’s horn is indicative of different proficiencies, power, and even personality.

- Long, curved horns are widely seen as the most desirable/attractive. - It’s not uncommon for unicorns to dock their tails, however it is most commonly seen in blue collar workers.

A unicorn’s potential power is largely genetic. However, proper education, magical exercise, and type of magic use is the largest factor in a unicorn’s functional power.

I’ve really been jumping around art wise this week ahaha— but have an older ori! He’s seen some shit 👀 did this for a fanfic im currently working on that revolves around ori ✨✨

I imagine his tattoos represent his status as a master scholar, the meanings being A) a third eye, or seeing what others cannot, and B) smth kinda like eyelashes under his real eyes to symbolize keeping eye wide open

hair wise, I think he keeps his hair as a cross between dori and nori’s hairstyles— something of an homage to his beloved brothers UwU

I’m falling back into my mlp obsession— help me 💀

Main text reads:

- the tallest of the races, earth ponies can be characterized by sturdy legs, thick necks, and classically horse-like ears.

- Earth ponies most commonly wear their manes and tails short and/or tied up. - Protective leg wraps are commonly worn by all races, but especially earth ponies, during Manuel labor or demanding activity.

- While technically “magic-less”, earth ponies have deep connections with the earth. Most are able to tell sense sick or unhealthy areas of nature on some level.

- Earth ponies are also the most intuitive of the races, having a more developed "sixth sense" in regards to nature, danger, and/or emotions. - Pinkie pie’s ‘pinkie sense’ is an abnormally strong variation of this innate sixth sense, And is largely unheard of— however, it could be indicative of powerful unicorn lineage.

Persephone from lore Olympus! one of the things I’ve always loved is the art style. The rest is… problematic to me. But I’m not going to comment on the rest, cause I don’t wanna get into any drama or anything. anyways. I was just always a lil disappointed because it’s kinda hinted that Persephone is chubby, but i feel like she’s drawn not. That way. so! Have a pseudo redesign-pseudo fanart. had a go at redesigning Charlie from Hazbin hotel :)

I wanted her limbs (especially arms) to be a little longer than usual.. hopefully make her a bit weird to look at lol

Also tried to include softer, rounder shapes… her original design is very sharp and angular, which personally throws me off because it feel very much antithetical to what I imagine her shape language to be

Race: Alicorn x Earthpony Build: Short and stocky, with an odd mixture of unicorn, Pegasus, and earthpony traits.  Voiceclaim: Allyn Rachel (‘Bee’ in Bee and Puppycat)

Talent: stratagem/logistics

Description: Saccharine Artifice is rarely bested in matters which necessitate strategy or cunning, with a mind umatched in regards to tactical thought. She most especially has a knack for reading the ponies around her, seemingly always one step ahead in a, usually, one sided game of wits. Unfortunately, This means she’s really rather quite bored half the time, which in turn ensures that the other half is spent eagerly searching for an enticing enough challenge. 

Still, Saccharine is, at her core, an extroverted pony with an, albeit overwhelming, emotional intensity and unforgettable presence. She sees little to no issue asking others uncomfortable, or even inappropriate, questions, either in a misguided attempt at making friends or to satiate her own curiosity, and has no concept of small talk unless it’s part of some elaborate plan.

With very little interest in her role as her mothers’ successor, bored to bits just by the very idea, Saccharine avoids her duties like the plague. She resents her position deeply, and this has caused a large rift between herself and Twilight.

Saccharine has a few odd quirks, both magical and physical. She possess an amount of control over magic that is wholly unheard of in any race outside of unicorns or alicorns, and was born with a few glaringly obvious ‘mutations’.  While Saccharine typically maintains a purely pony-like appearance, she only rarely hides her teeth, which are much sharper than usual. 

After much research, it was discovered that this is all due to pinkie pie’s brief stint with discord’s magic, which has left her with an incredibly abnormal amount of chaotic magic even after its removal. This magic seems to have had interesting effects on Saccharine, the full breadth of which is still left to be discovered.

Drew a hair progression guide for Ambrose from act 1 - 3, + his hair in the epilogue/after ! I don’t know if it comes across well but his epilogue hairstyle is an attempt at giving him short butterfly locs 🥲 hopefully I’ll get better at drawing them with practice lol

I also included screenshots of his profile, for those curious about what he looks like in game! They were taken in act 2. I definitely exaggerated his hair growth a bit.. but tbh there’s not much difference between the shorter and slightly longer buzz cut looks for my taste :P

I imagine he changes his hairstyle in the epilogue a lot, experimenting with different looks and generally just having fun with his longer hair— Especially because the short buzz has been his only style and length for the majority of his life.

Ok on a hobbit kick and haven’t been able to get the idea of hobbits using large dogs for mounts out of my head for the last few months. So here’s a lil thing lol.

Text:

1; “saddles” are typically a simply blanket, though bareback riding is common. 2; dogs are trained to move according to leg, weight, and sound signals. (Adding: this removes the need for reigns or other control mechanisms)

3; dogs are used for fast travel, and/or minimal work. Ponies are used for harder labor. (Adding: for example, ponies would be used for plowing, pulling carriages, carrying large loads, etc. dogs would be used for work that requires swift movement and/or light loads such as relaying messages, carrying light loads, managing herds of farm animals, and etc.)

4; most commonly used for farm work, and are especially valuable for the ability to work both with and without a rider on their back. (Adding: So they can be both a mount and your classic working dog.)
