A few of my favorite "Boromir's sleeve" moments from Fellowship, where we get a close-up of another character and his red shirtsleeve--- rubbing Merry and Pippin to keep them warm on Caradhras, comforting Gimli at Balin's tomb, and holding Frodo back as Gandalf falls. Also this superfast, silent exchange between him and Aragorn in Moria, which I love because there are LAYERS happening. Who's sitting above the other? Who's brooding over how to get them out of this mess? Aragorn hasn't had to step up yet! They haven't fully come to terms with the ramifications of Boromir's title and Aragorn's claim. Boromir is still thinking like a commander and Aragorn is still thinking like a ranger. And yet! Even though they don't quite trust each other, they have this brief moment where they're just Two Guys in a bad situation.
Just Men! Being Dudes! Alone in a group of weirdos, lost underground! I love it!

I did not have time to draw creatures for last goblin week, but I have time now. So, here are orcs of Moria and drums in the darkness ♥

Will anybody ever acknowledge that it was Boromir (wtf, man?) that tossed a stone into the water at the entrance to Moria and woke the fucky tentacle freak?
Pippin gets such a bad rep every time for having done every dumb thing that happened in Fellowship, but this dumb thing, one of the dumbest ever, really ain’t on him
Boromir: i will teach you how to wield a sword, little man
Pippin: and i can teach you how to get everyone into trouble by doing nothing more than just being yourself
Boromir: *throws the stone that woke the underwater guardian bitch*
Pippin: *tears in his eyes* he knows already

Another short LOTR comic I made, adapted from the chapter “Journey in the Dark” in Fellowship of the Ring.
I really felt Frodo’s homesickness in this passage, and the beginnings of his deep regret for how things are unfolding as well as what will never be again. Also love getting a glimpse of the friendship/allyship of Elves and Dwarves of old because of mithril, and of course had to sneak in Celebrimbor and Narvi. My favorite part of Rings of Power has been Khazad-dûm and the dwarves thriving (for ONCE!!)
