Guys sorry, I am not immune to Hazbin/Helluva propaganda. I am also not immune to criticizing the designs and character motivations.

So! Let’s start with one of the most redesigned characters in the show: Beelzebub^^

So, sorta hot take, I really like the idea behind Beelzebub in the show. Ik "boo tomato tomato," but hear me out. I like how she is meant represent the hellhounds she rules over (ik she actually is a reference to Jay Jay, but let me have this connection PLEASE). However, the source material is very bug-like and compact.

The HB Beelzebub is NOT that bug like. Or compact.

With this redesign, I decided to pick all the stuff I liked about the og, and what I wanted to see more of. I kept her colors and general vibe but made her more built like a bumble bee with more inspo from the fly Beelzebub.

This is what I got.

DESIGN EXPLANATION:

Anyways, I always imagined Beelzebub to be, y'know, more BEE like. The show did not give me that, so I did it myself. I made her wings bigger, gave her an actual bee tail and face (with the proboscis and stinger too), and more stripes and fluff. I also made her small and slightly chubby. Gotta hone the bumble bee.

I thought the hair made the original design too cluttered, but I wanted to keep the party colors. To compromise, I stuck all the goop in her tail. It sort of works like a firefly's abdomen and a lava lamp. I also nullified her cloths, so they would blend more with the body and help pop the neon colors in her eyes, antenna, and tail.

When she stands at her normal form, she is the smallest of the sins. But when she is in her "true" form (that I have not illustrated yet), she is the biggest of the sins. This is a reference to how gluttony starts small but gets really large over time, both mentally and physically.

As for additional details, I wanted to keep her "foxness". So in a brilliant brainstorm of ideas, I came up with the concept of "Masks". Basically, all the sins I'll redraw will have them. The masks are meant not only to represent their hellborn, but to represent how the sins pretend to be good things at first.

Stuff like "Rest a little more, it won't hurt" and "Be proud and don't care for what others say" are how they present on the surface, but if you continue those mindsets in a toxic way, it turns into sloth and pride and stuff instead of self-care and being proud of things.

For Bee specifically, it's "Have a little more, you deserve it!" and she has a hell-hound/fox mask. This also feeds into her personality change.

PERSONALITY CHANGES:

In the og, she's a party animal who cares for... moderation??? Yeah, I hate this about Helluva Boss. Why is it so hard to write *sshole/negligent people in power and why is it only Mammon who's allowed to be like this? Give me more morally dark grey powerful people!

That's where Bee is different for the redesign. She runs te lowest ring in hell and is in charge of hellhounds, the lowest species in hell. B/c of this, she is much more lenient compared to the higher ranked sins in hell, which is why she is often seen talking and hanging out with lower classes. (She gets slack for this from the other sins). She is also the only sin who has had open relations with lower class citizens all the way down to hellhounds. However, none of them last. Most of her relations outside of the sins are one-night stands and flings.

As for how she sorta sucks: she is still a party animal, yes, but she purposely chooses to be blind and ignore all the suffering that occurs at the parties. People have fun, but they overindulge, and as a result get sick, sad, and violent. However, Bee leaves the parties before they get this way. She does not want to see it. She is negligent. When she comes back to the party aftermaths, she quickly gets her workers to clean everything, so she does not have to discover anything gruesome and sad. She just wants to live, party, and see people "happy". (Sort of like Gatsby's parties minus the pining for a single woman who does not care for her).

... I wonder what would happen if that mental image she had shattered? I guess only the future will tell.

Joy, toontown be upon ye!!

So starting off, we have my designs for the C.F.O and the S.V.P because i was inspired by some designs on tumblr and decided to do my own crack at it!!

Next is my oc, Cherry Pop, who originally started off as just a Really Tall Toon and then I was like "...hey what if they were a cog" and then it morphed into "they're the head of Robot Resources"!! I have lots ideas that im probably gonna put into another post!! also ignore the fact that it says "antelope" i forgot the word jackalope and never went back to fix it

Next up is a doodle sheet of some of my designs for the managers (i want to eventually ink and color this but for now all you get is messy sketches)!! I have the idea that essentially, after awhile, they replaced just the suits being a part of the body with clothing so that (a) it would be harder for toons to infiltrate and (b) repair costs would go down because the price of fabric is a lot less then the price of metal. So, you have someone like Derrick Man, who is an older model who hasn't transitioned over to the newer model so his suit is a part of him, and then you have someone like Misty, who has transffered over into the clothing style!! I have a lot of headcanons about these guys so 👀👀. also high roller is there because i like to think that he's a seperate person who just pretends to be a fusion for the bit because they think it's funny.

And the final two are just shitposts I decided to make about how down bad Cherry Pop is for the C.F.O and also about my mental state leading up to April.

Hello!! @llatimeria and I are both opening our commissions to help keep us afloat while we get our situation all sorted out! This time around I'm gonna go with a basic minimum price for each tier, and the more you pay beyond that, the more details/rendering/etc i can add!!

SKETCH - $15+

Sketches start at $15, which will get you a fully monochrome bust like the first one! (Can be any color, not just b/w!) The second one (fullbody with separate lines + 1 color) would be around $25. The third one (detailed bust with shading) would be around $50! This sketch tier is definitely the most variable of all of them, so we'd have a discussion to figure out a quote that works best for both of us!

I can also do sketches with multiple characters, interacting or otherwise! Each additional character in the image gets a discount of 25% from the original base price for the level of detail you wanted

ICON - $40+

These are more or less a flat rate! I don't have any current icon examples without shading, but $40 will get you flat colors, while $50 gets you shading like in these examples!

FULLBODY - $70+

Fullbodies come with flat colors by default, but can be discussed! The example on the left would be $70, while the example on the right (the same detail/rendering, but with multiple characters) would be $175! Each additional character in the image gets a discount of 25% (so an additional $52.50 per character for this example)

REF SHEET - $70+

Ref sheets start at $70, which will get you one like the first example! Ref sheets also come with flat colors by default. Each additional form/outfit/pose/angle/etc in the image gets a discount of 25%, so the second example here would be $122.50 total!

[BONUS] DOODLES - 100% PWYW

The doodles tier is the most wildcard tier, the effort put into them will reflect how much you pay :) This is the only tier that doesn't include any in-progress updates - you can request whatever details upfront, but the final drawing will be a surprise! You really just get what you pay for with this tier - if you pay a dollar, you're getting a $1 doodle!

If you, for whatever reason, want to put more than a couple dollars in for this tier, I'll most likely draw multiple characters in this style, like in my imp oc examples here, or i might throw some basic colors on it. Let me know if you have any preference!

EDIT: As of November 14th 2023, I've decided to start keeping track of when a post does not include a single-letter element. Single-letter elements are, in order: H B C N O F P S K V Y I W U. These posts will be tagged with "missing single".

Spaces, capitalization, emojis, numbers, and punctuation will not be taken into account. For example, the term "lush🍃13garden" would still count for Mercury (Hg). Letters are the only thing that interrupt symbols.

Anything that isn't a tally is tagged with "not a tally", asks are tagged with "Arsenic Potassium Sulfur", and posts people tagged me in are tagged "Thanks for the tag!" (because "tag" and "tags" unfortunately can't be made with only elemental symbols. they could if we had G but we do not)

Some things to keep in mind:

I try to avoid any piece of moving media (video/gif) that has words in it of any kind. I'm already a transcriber as a job, and while I love it, I'm not gonna do it on my silly little side blog.

I usually don't analyze anything fandom-related, since nothing good can come from a fandom post leaving its circle. There are some exceptions I'll make, though.

I use a script to search for the symbols, but it can't read the words in images, so they have to be retyped into the script 100% manually. I'll most likely still do it, but just keep that in mind when sending in posts with lots of images.

I'll only analyze posts where it's very clear what order things are read in; charts, graphs, doodle pages, and other images with words all over the place won't be counted.

When it comes to URLs, I don't count them for the main tally unless they show up in a screenshot or as a tag somewhere in the thread; instead, the URLs of the users in the thread are listed out afterwards in their own separate tallies, with the elements listed in the order that they appear in the person's URL (this does not include URLs that only appear in screenshots/tags).

If you tag me in a post, I won't be counting anything that you added to the thread, though you will still be part of the secondary URL tally.

When I make a tally, I (usually) won't be adding my own comments, and on the occasions that I do, whatever is in my comment is not added to the final tally.

I tend to stray away from analyzing posts with other similar gimmick blogs already in them these days. This is because we all tend to influence each other's results- for example, if I analyzed a post where alphabetcompletionist tallied up all 26 letters, that would (potentially) artificially add Cd, Mn, and No to my tally. If I did end up doing this, I would be highlighting Cd, Mn, and No in a different color to denote that they would not have been there had I not reblogged from alphabetcompletionist directly.

remembered some of my host design thoughts from 2020 just gonna straight up copy and paste them some grammar mistakes don't mind that too much

schmitty - when i listened to his (scared) tmp2 voicelines i imagined him (and did like 2 doodles) as a humanoid red quip. whether or not that's because me and my friends memed said quip a lot and i began assoisating the quip with schmitty might...idk be up in the air lol.

anyways i basically made him a human verison of the red quip and my human verison for him came later

cookie masterson - i think i listened to his F U easter eggs? and then boom. cookie, made his tie a ...cookie tie bc of his name lol

REDACTED - i think i listened to the tmp1 " voice reveals "? i forgot, man it's only been two months. anyways i know i based their look soley on something said on their tumblr page, " based raised in the woods ". and i made their " not shadowy " form not too long after

to quote myself: " well hes a serial killer or something right " . oh and i believe i made his shirt purple bc that color is sometimes associated with evil! woo. as for my first take on his Totally normal man in society he did not seem like a guy that could play off being a Totally normal man in society. he had fricking pink eye and was bleeding from his mouth and looked really sickly

todd - ah the funny internet man! my first design for him ..funky hair. i know i went through like 3 hairstyles for him and whether or not i wanted to give him shorts.

the 3 things that stayed through out all the designs are: shades, fire tie/fire on the pants and green crocs. now that i think about it his clothes are weird lol..

nate - soley based on his F U easter egg. " i'm pretty (fricking) expensive. " i also wanted to use a different head shape.

from my first sketch of him, nothing has really changed except for the stripes on his tie

guy towers - oh fgod my first reference drawing of him, the colors and design are pretty much the same now except i changed his shoes a bit and give him a short ponytail

idk hes the sports guy and sports people wear visors...yea

binjpipe - oh uhhhhhh ,is pink , hair shapes a b, she is the only character with a eye color (i guess bc i didnt really bother giving eye colors to any of my hosts)

my design for it has not changed, the onyl thing i added recently was circuits on her hands! bc . idk circuits are cool

schmitty but human - ohhey i found it, i imagined in his ydkj days hes just...pretty tired. hence gray hairs! and i know the tie i very loosely based on Funny Faster Funnier or wahtever it is

dr ro (hc name: dr.rangsey) - short science girl! idk i think the phrase " lab safety is mint colored! " fits her and thats something i thought about..and her colors are based on her game

again her design did not change much i think i just made the labcoat look better

hfelicia - ohhh i remember really wanting to make a design for her . i was like I GOTTA DO THIS.. and tentacles were a requirement. and a eyeball in her hair

one sketch i have is her with eyes on her arms which i believe i did put in, in her monster form . ok i just found when i got around to linearting and coloring, i realized her outfit was too similar to the mother in her game so i changed it (and ngl i was thinking of maid outfit kinda) i looked up vintage clothes and gave her something from that, and red shoes lol

guesspionage host (hc name: abigail s) - oh!! i doodled him on paper first, my final design is pretty different my gosh

my next sketch for him then has boots and a different head shape , uhh yea, eventually i made the shoes Not fricking big and i gave him some cool glove thing with...circuits! bc to quote on my reference page " epic shocking prank ". ngl that was mostly bc of gandra dee in dt17 bc she has nanobots or whatever on her hand and its pretty cool and i thought this host would be the kind to get stuff like that

and could be used for self defense i think? shocking hurts and its like ..opposite of binjpipes' kinda. his are on the palm while hers are on the opposite of the palm (??i dont know my human terms)

dandelion - design hasnt changed much either! and i hc him to be schmitty's brother so i uhh yea made them look similar somewhat. BUT MAN THE SHOES IN HIS FIRST DESIGN............not great. i added a bit more to his suit..jumpsuit? in my latest design for him! swaggy

buzz lippman - when i first heard him there were 2 things i know were needed - a tophat and yellow glasses

my first design for him isnt different from his latest deisgn, i jsut gave him a blue tie. blue as to tie into nate bc theyre cousins and i gave nate a yellow tie os yea

dixie - aww my first sketch for her was cute, i wanted something flowy, i made her somewhat angelic! and her dress has clouds ..and the thing around his waist and her cape are supposed to represent the millions of words made up! (vaguely bc no way am i gonna write words there) oh and the cape is kinda uhh like her wings persay!

civic doodle hostress and old man - AHHA my first doodle of old man was just a stick figure bc thats how hes shown in the ride. and i gave them both stick figure forms bc why not? EHAj i wasnt sure what colors to give to them at first so i used ms paint colors, AND OLD MANS BEARD WAS MADE OUT OF POMPOMS..God haa i didnt give him a beard at first when i finalized both of their designs

gene - referenced from his ingame look in sti, thought hed be a office guy so yep! and his pants have pixels similar to todd's sleeves , bc they are kinda a duo right

helen - awhhg she looks pretty anger in her first sketch and latest design...i thought of her color being green at first and man her skin color was more sickly

otherwise her hair style and form havent really changed. ohh there was a short time where i thought she was the ceo of binjpipe ..glad i didnt continue on with that thought, anyways stan helen bc she has to deal with 5 men sending each other to the bottom constantly </3 , or did so in teh ride

dot! - ah! my first digital sketch of her, really the two things that changed were her hairstyle and her pants. hairstyle is a thing thats stumped me several times lol, ooh her colors changed a bit too

bob - hairstyle REALLY stumped me with this one . and for my first digital sketch i quote myself " honestly keep seeing bob as bald " , then i saw the tvtropes page where it says he implies he has 80s hair or something and i was like " shit "

bidiots host (hc name: quant) - not much here, i based his suit on one i saw on a show we were watching in one of my classes. idk why i gave him a red gem thing tho, why not i guess!

dode - i know i looked up reference images for short hair! her design has changed p much the same the most ive changed were her colors

eventually i drew her ingame look :P

word spud host - literally a cardboard cutout, i think it was seriously inspired by box from inanimate insanity / a humanization of box that was a cutout cardboard and i thought it was nice

i havent seen the show in a while so what i remember is rusty and i dont think tim was rlly there a bunch so i only have like 3 hcs im srry BUT to make up for it i will go into depth about them kinda sorta, and by hcs i mean aspects of his character i liked in the show and just went “yea thats tim im including that in my tim most definitely” but i do have like 2 hcs

OK LOOK I LOVE THIS AS A FOIL RELATIONSHIP TO DARRY AND CURLY ITS GREAT, but HOW did they get close??? most likely after johnny and dallys deaths, pony spends more time w curly which means more time at curlys house which means seeing tim a lot more as well, at first tim would just pop in and go like “do yall want somethin to eat” and ofc pony was afraid at first but l as time went on, they just kinda clicked, maybe over art, bc each other using creativity as an outlet, or something or bc tim was like “o he is a bit fucked up actually” and took him under his wing

mostly based off that one rumble episode, BUT i hc that after dallys death, tim became not close but definitely not a stranger to the curtis gang, he doesnt rlly hang out w them or anything like that, but he does see them quite a bit and talks to them, and especially teams up w them when they need it, think of tim as what dally was to the gang, the guy who came n went but was down w them, but in his own “yall cool but i got a gang to lead so ill help darry a bit when it comes to handlin yall” way if that makes any lick of sense

Week 3

Socialization

Big week for babies!

Went to a friend's house and met her two doodles (separately), one of whom is very big and the other is VERY enthusiastic so good exposure on both fronts, had enormous zoomies through the backyard, climbed on top of an overturned kiddie pool, jumped into some bushes, met a woman of color (yay! god so many of my friends are white), also rode in the car again alone

Had someone come INTO the apartment after knocking and setting Hazard off, so learning that a) Hazard can freak out and actually it's cool and b) just because someone comes in does not mean they will IMMEDIATELY say hi to puppies, they will instead stand around and talk to me first. (Person is on Hazard's approved list so he settled quickly.)

Went to a park with Hazard and did a parallel walk with a different friend and her small mixed breed, learned a) not every dog who expresses interest in her is going to Eat Her and b) she does not get to meet every dog she wants to meet. also met the friend (her dog now back in car). ALSO there were scads of children at the playground so watched small humans move weirdly and was ok with it. ALSO ALSO one of them had a soccer ball and THAT was super cool so we worked some on Not Chasing Other People's Balls and we're gonna take a treibball class when she's old enough. also she wanted to chase crows. please don't baby they'll put out a hit on us.

Yesterday met a child in a unicorn costume which was SUPER scary and then SUPER fun when she realized Oh!!!! It's Just A Child!!!!!

Went to a park today, saw some people, saw some dogs, flounced around in the grasses, generally had a fabulous time.

Also met my brother, who's 6'2, in the apartment today, see above for the meeting procedure but loved him, super wiggly and willing to be held

In-home skills

We now have a crate cue, which is happening sometimes (mostly when I know she's going to be happy about going in) and she THROWS herself into her crate at bedtime which is very nice.

We had 48 consecutive hours without an accident!!!

Latest (and most functional) setup is that she now has a crate in the living room and is in there any time we cannot be supervising, which is a lot of the time but also she's largely either sleeping or chewing on something in there. Meals are in her x-pen and she gets regular zoomies & training time in the rest of the apartment. This is helping considerably with both potty training and my stress levels.

We need to work on Leaving Socks Alone tho...

Reinforcement skills

Current marker cues are click/"yes" (treat from hand or dropped straight down), "geddit" (tossed toy), "take it" (tug toy in hand), "find it" (multiple tossed treats). We also learned about lickimats this week.

Cues

Sit: increasingly good at it on verbal only, and increasingly good at holding it until release ("okay")

Down: haven't worked on this

Touch: did some refreshing, especially at doing it outside

Leave it: coming along nicely, starting to add it to real life (Hazard's leash). Need to work more on duration and not trying for the thing in the first place.

Drop it: Will 95% of the time spit the thing out bc treats!!! 0 issues with possession so far

Park it: Some progress here. Everyone needs reminding that you go to your OWN bed and not a random bed

OH BOY. OKAY!! 🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

alright well. because i am Insane about my little guys i'm going to talk about every single one (that is currently rotating around in my brain) <3

1. Scraps (he/they/it/blue) — I love how he's just a big wuss. Scraps is the little guy in my pfp, he's a plushie that has the mental age of a very young child. His biggest concerns are being eaten by monsters and playing in his office with his paper buddies(2 crumpled up pieces of paper with pink and blue blob on their heads. The blobs represent bows. They're called Mrs and Mr Paper respectively) and Mr. Rocky (a rock with a straight face drawn on it, he wears a party hat). 2. Binbon (it/they) — My favorite thing about Binbon is that it was a team effort!! My friends picked its name, pronouns, and color palette. Binbon's a chef in the office, their height and color changes with its emotions but when neutral it's 7'0 and purple. Gentle giant <3 3. Ted (he/any pronouns) — This one's tough. I love everything about this guy. He's a robot technician. he's autism (as all robots are). his visibly robotic hand can turn into any tool, but because of faults in his wiring it hurts to do or just doesn't work at all. Also his hair is very long <3 But I guess if I had to choose something, it would be his character development. Ted, as it stands right now, has no personality of his own, but he's gonna go through an arc where he becomes his own person. 4. Pinky (it/its) — My favorite thing about it? It's itty bitty. and it has a little pink bow on its head. little thang <3 Pinky is a special #H1VE-b (I have a ref of them on my art blog @pipster-doodles), it tumbled out of the mind control facility through the vents and ended up meeting an employee face to face! Thanks to it, the other small #H1VE-b's started sneaking out of the mind facility to watch all the employees. The H1VEs were supposed to be mindless machines that just did work fixing up the MCF and some parts of the office but then they were introduced to the concepts of love and hate and joy and sorrow and Emotions by watching everyone in the office and now they're like big cats. 5. Tapper (he/him) — Tbh I like his ambitions. He's the hall monitor in the office but he really just wants to quit and become a tap dancer. He's a tall guy with traffic lights for a head. He takes hall-monitoring very seriously tho and will chase after you if you run in the halls. Also he has a whistle <3 6. Chip & Quip — Packaged deal. love that together they're Idiots (capital i). I cant even describe what they look like for the life of me so have this picture:

idiots. once Quip had a potion fall on his head that turned him into Scraps and Chip decided to remedy this by throwing potions at him until he turned back to normal. The alchemist kicked them out immediately.

Verse: Cowboy Bebop Character(s): Cayla (who has no name in this verse), Baron (labeled as the doctor) Content warning: Mental child abuse. Please don’t read further if you’re not able to handle it. Ily, muah.

“D...dog...caaat...” The little one points to the pictures of the aforementioned animals to practice on her speech. For being close to the age of six or seven, she had about as much knowledge on how to talk as a toddler did. She wasn’t diagnosed with any disabilities, it’s just the fault of her ‘teacher’, who would toss her into a dark and isolated room whenever she did something he didn’t like. The doctor himself was assigned to teach her how to function like a human, despite the animal features she’s been sporting since birth. But rather than do that, he was doing what he found to be more important than being her teacher.

She had no parents that she could no remember. Not even pictures to show what they looked like. As far as she knew, she just poofed into existence like magic. And besides these one word sentences, she could barely talk. “Mm...moowwse.” She said, pointing to a picture of the mouse. She then got bored...and wanted to doodle on paper. Taking a black and gray crayon, she scribbled something that only she could identify at first glance. That awful ‘punishment’ room...nothing would be in there but pure, suffocating silence, and sometimes monsters that her own brain would conjure up, some taking shape of the man assigned to teach her.

Suddenly, the gloved hand of the man slumped to the table, catching her attention as he picked up the drawing with narrowing eyes. Had the girl not looked afraid and try to reach up for the drawing, he wouldn’t have pieced together what it was. He then crumpled it up in his hands. “Just who do you think is gonna lose his job if his subordinates find this, hmm...?”  He asks softly, such a question bringing chills to the girl’s spine. She twiddled her thumbs, trying to apologize, but the fear was making her choke up. The doctor shook his head with a ‘tsk.’ “You don’t think, do you? You thoughtless little girl...” He said, before grabbing her on the arm. She pulled back with noticeable strain in her voice, and before she knew it, she was tossed back in to the room, the only light illuminating from the hallway before it slammed shut. Small hands banging on the door in demand to be let out, before sitting to her knees. She shook and covered her eyes as she sat down, her tail around her knees and soft sobs escaping her. Like all the other times she’d be thrown in here, she had no idea how much time has passed, nor what kind of chaos would come next.

The door would suddenly come open, and an arm would take the girl by the back of her cardigan before giving her any time to react. Everything around the two was fire, and smoke coming from different rooms, some of them exploding. Everything seemed to be a terrifying blur color and smoke, not to mention the other staff members of the facility scrambling to get out. Her ‘teacher’ would carry her in one arm like baggage and leave his colleagues to their doom. However...the only other thing he needed before leaving? She couldn’t make out what it was, but it could’ve been important. To his outrage, there was no way for him to get to his own office, so with nothing else to stay in for, he bailed out of the building, unnamed child in tow. Once they were out, there was even fire and burnt debris around them, but not without an open path. He dropped the girl, and dropped to his knees. The girl coughed for the smoke to not linger in her breath, and put in a surgical mask she always kept around for when others got sick. The man screamed out at the sky in a fit of rage, and punched the burnt soil beneath him.

“You...” He said in a dark tone, grabbing the girl again by her cardigan. “If I didn’t have to be STUCK babysitting you, I would’ve gotten to those documents! My research, everything I worked for, GONE!” He yelled at her, the girl whimpering and trying to get away before he shoved her to the ground, hand still gripping tightly on her clothing. Presumably, none of his colleagues would’ve known how badly he treated this child, but it’s not like it mattered to him anymore. “You defiant little..-!” He would’ve continued, but suddenly he was having difficulty breathing. He let her go, and coughed harshly. She took this as an opportunity to run away, but despite him practically dying, he grabbed her by the leg. “What the hell...what the hell’s going on-!?” He said, his coughs becoming more guttural. She kicked her leg to free herself from his grasp. Whatever was effecting him, he was being mighty stubborn to let it kill him, even when the smoke from the fire was no help for his immune system in the slightest. A foot came down hard on the back of the doctor’s skull, and the girl’s leg was free. She covered her eyes, only hearing the shuffling and frantic thuds against the burnt soil as the doctor suffocated and died shortly after. Besides the crackles of fire, and debris toppling over itself, there was silence. And the small girl, with her animal ears and tail, stared up at the figure who, quite literally, made this unlucky doctor eat dirt right in front of her.

yay!!! :D hypno my beloved <3 and ohoho i am excited for jinx as well <3 ok so cool thing i don't have my tablet right now so i will do little mspaint doodles with my touchpad. i apologize </3

so my initial idea for this was that i'd assign each character a class, breed, and alignment, and then i'd talk a bit about misc. things. however. i am very biased when it comes to the classes and breeds in biomutant and i don't want to just assign everyone the same.

so instead i'm gonna just do quick doodles and talk a little bit about how i think the characters would fit into the world <3

HYPNO:

Did I mainly just want to draw a little creatcher Hypno? Yeah <3 Anyway, I think a Biomutant Hypno would very much be down for chaos, very much not a member of any of the established factions and instead doing its own thing. I imagine it would have psi-powers, but it may not have the best grasp on any of them unfortunately. (Not to say that he wouldn't be able to use them, just that he doesn't know how to use them super safely yet.)

My other main thought is that Hypno would naturally have almost 100% immunity to Heat biomes (i.e. extreme heat has little to no effect on him), and he takes advantage of this to explore areas that other creatures can't easily access and find cool trinkets and resources.

Hypno also definitely has the FUNKIEST outfit it can manage. Like, Hypno finds old human scraps and incorporates them into its outfit and in general just... the vibes. I love the vibes here.

JINX:

I will admit I'm a bit less familiar with Jinx so I took a look through your Jinx tag, and this doodle isn't colored b/c I wasn't quite sure what colors to use asdfjkl; However. I did see the one outfit you posted for him that had a fun hat. So I gave him a fun hat. Love a goth cowboy <3

In terms of how I think Jinx would fit into Biomutant! Saying right now, I adore Jinx as a character and think he'd be a VERY fun addition to this 'verse. I'm gonna keep Jinx's immortality and take advantage of the tenuous timeline in Biomutant and say that Jinx may have been alive since the original apocalypse that ended humanity and brought forth the creatures. He doesn't necessarily advertise this fact, but he's seen some shit and has been there since before the rise of the different factions.

I think Jinx, for the most part, would try to avoid the factions and their constant warring bullshit, but I do think he would be very interested in preserving the Tree of Life. I remember you mentioned Jinx being pagan and having a specific focus on gods relating to the earth (sorry if I'm misremembering there!), and I think that would translate very well into him being a steward for the Tree. However, I also think it'd be interesting to translate that aspect over by having Jinx follow gods long forgotten by the denizens of the valley.

Point is, I think Jinx would want to preserve the Tree rather than letting it die, and he would do whatever he could to stop the Worldeaters.

As a last note, aesthetically, Jinx absolutely can keep the goth cowboy thing. Just very aesthetic and good vibes all around.

[ SWAGGER COLLAGE TUTORIAL OR SMTH ]

Woaaaaaaah we got a special one today folks-

My dear buddy chum pal broski bestie asked me to teach it how i do my collage-y lookin art, and i figured i might as well make it available to anyone else who wants to know B]

Quick disclaimer: im not the best at explaining stuff, and also am not a professional or anything!! Listen to me or dont, these are all merely what i do when i make this kind of stuff-

Oh, and ill post the full spread im making here separately for anyone whos interested in that rather than this guide thingy :P

Since i usually like making more cohesive spreads with a certain theme or subject, i like doodling potential drawings i could use in the spread before starting!! This is very much optional, but helps a bit in case youre worried about having no ideas when you go straight into drawing. You can even plan out where youre gonna put different drawings on the page if ya want!! :]

After that, i rummage through my Trash Box for trash that matches my vision for the spread,, if ya catch my drift B]

For this one, since im making matching spreads for disposable girl and irreverent girl (weevildoing swag yknow yknow), i picked out some hot topic tags and stuff, a few tags from clothes that looked fitting, and a pretty bit of a pokemon tcg deck box i saved!! I mostly just went off of vibes and colors this time, but you can go off of whatever feels right when youre picking collage stuff -v-

Oh, and if you plan on trying out a lot of collage stuff, COLLECT SO MUCH TRASH. Find a bag, a box, anything to hold some fun looking wrappers and junk you could use. Be sure to clean anything used to hold food though, ants dont make good collage bits,, usually,,,

Now, the natural next step: gluing that junk on!! Generally its good to have some sort of pattern for how you glue your base collage bits down, like sticking to certain parts of the paper, or making a shape, using a color sequence,, though just slapping stuff on until it works for you also goes pretty well in the end if youre into spontaneity! Just trust the process and go with the flow and all that-

Oh yeah, and collage includes more than junk yknow!! You can use different kinds of paper, stationary like sticky notes and stuff, anything to add some variety in texture BP

Now for the fun bit!! Well, i find all the steps pretty fun, but the drawing part is probably the most fun for you lovely readers ;]

Not much to say here, just do whatever youd do with a typical drawing/page! I recommend trying to fill most/all of the spaces you left blank (if any) when gluing stuff down. Working around all the collage may serve as a challenge, but its not tooooo annoying once youve gotten a feel for it. You can also add some more collage here if you want -v-

Finally, the second best part (in my humble opinion): the stickers!! I usually do this last, but the order probably doesnt matter? Just kinda,, put stickers on wherever!! Try layering them, or covering doodles with them, or making new pictures with them, go CRAZY WITH STICKERS!! You can also use some paint pens or gel pens to add a little pizazz,,

Once youve bedazzled to your heart’s content, you can add any other details and finishing touches you deem necessary, and v o i l a, youve got a collage!!

Dont worry too much about things looking “right”! Ive found that art is a ton more fun when im not stressing out over how clean my work looks, its all about having fun and expressing yourself!! If something looks a bit wonky, or you think you glued something in a weird spot but cant change it, keep rollin with it! With collage in this style, mistakes are kinda part of the experience, so dont worry yourself too much if things dont go as planned

Dinovember day 16: Triceratops!

Couple things I made in art class a while back. The first is a whiteboard doodle because I had spare time (real name signature blotted out) and the second is a page from a book I made! We had to make like. These little booklets of whatever we wanted using multiple medias. My book was about comparisons between the old, vintage/pop culture depiction of dinosaurs, and their modern counterparts! The backgrounds were all in water color, the “old” versions in acrylic, the “modern” versions in color pencil/pen, and the letters in stamps! The covers used acrylic, hand carved stamps, and book corner protectors!

Unfortunately I completely forgot I made that book, which really sucks because a bunch of the pages could’ve been used for dinovembers that I didn’t have the motivation for! So, I’ll post em now, under a read more :)

Dinovember day 13: tyrannosaurus!

Dinovember day 14: parasaurolophus! I actually did make a dinovember post for para, but sadly it must’ve been blocked from view by the warning tags I put on it (b*dy h*rror) or something, because it was never found

As you can see, I’m not good at painting in crunched time and at small scale lol. I love my drawing for para, but I hate how static the pose feels and how bad the patterns are. I just couldn’t think of anything for it!
