Eve is in a good mood today—no, strike that. Eve is in an excellent mood today. Maybe it’s because it’s clear, warm, bright, breezy, and otherwise what normal people would call a “beautiful” day. Maybe it’s because the morning mist and the clouds have been chased away by a fat old sun and yes it is a beautiful day.

Even London gets one or two a year.

Even Villanelle knows one when she sees one.

She has been awake and she has been aware for weeks now. Weeks before she woke up in a stale and antiseptic hospital bed on the outskirts of London. Weeks before Eve dragged herself into Villanelle's room looking like something the cat dragged out of the rain. Weeks before she excused herself and went off to the showers for the next 45 minutes. Weeks before she returned, wet, weary, and still with blood under her fingernails.

But it wasn’t Villanelle’s blood, so it was okay with her. Eve had killed again. She knew it. She just didn’t know who. (illustration by dk_srrybb)

hey amphibia hey amph hey amphibia. idgaf if toadie learns to let out his inner beast or if tritonio learns about the power of friendship or if the fungus is feeling a lil sad today or if if if I DON'T CARE. the fact so many episodes leading up to the finale were spent fleshing out characters we quite literally never see again was such a weird choice to me??? I'm not saying no more filler, character driven, and/or fun episodes. I'm saying stop spending so much time with random characters and focus on the ones you already have.

by that I mean. the plantars' trauma being addressed directly in like, three episodes, probably half an hour total, while we also got a completely unecessary tritonio backstory is just? and the way ROOT OF EVIL came out on the same day as THE CORE & THE KING??? and none of those people were even important in the end, there's probably two minutes of them fighting before we go back to the main battle.

most (gritting my teeth not to say all) amphibia side characters are not interesting, they're quirky. did you get the joke?! he's an old man but he's buffed!! a a and she's an old woman but she kicks ass!!! andndnnd he's SMALL but he's FERAL did you GET THE JOKE. it was charming in the beginning but the world is about to end, why should I care about some guy I haven't seen in two seasons?
