Idk...on one hand, there's next to no evidence that Tasque Manager was hacked/tampered with during the weird route, but on the other hand, her behavior is VERY strange.

She has that dark aura, she has NO COMMENTS about what's happening, she stays in a part of the Mansion that is veerrrryy far away from her normal spot on the normal route, and finally she seems to be uncharacteristically showing an energy of ignorance as if she doesn't even KNOW what's going on.

But that'd be impossible! She's the maid of the place! It's her job to upkeep order. It's very, very weird that we have no idea WHY she let all this happen so it's understandable that some ppl might think she was hacked.

Still...the fact that we have no idea why she's acting like this adds to the suspense/creep factor of Snowgrave which is probably why it was put in there.

I really like your theory about Spamton basically haunting a mannequin after death. Have you ever touched upon the reaction from Jevil (or anyone, really) upon seeing the new Spamton? Especially considering Spamton isn't even aware he 'died'.

^ how i think jevil's first sight of Spamton would go. i love this ask. this is referring to some headcanons I made a while back, I'll link it here for the one post and the general ghost spamton theory is linked in that one as well. Going to elaborate on it more under the cut for those interested + more art.

In general I think that people from Spamton's past wouldn't really care if they notice at all, since he wasn't in the business of making close friends with anyone. With the Addisons, in my interpretation he had a "weird co-worker" relationship with them, and while Addisons in general treated each other like potential business competitors that they had to make-nice with, Spamton is especially easy to single out for being visibly and temperamentally different. His altered, current state is something they'd feel at least uncomfortable by, but many wouldn't have been too close with him to begin with for them to talk about it with him directly. Would get whispered about between each other for sure, like we saw with them talking about Spamton after the NEO fight. It moves him from the "disgraced guy I used to know" category to the "actually unpleasant to look at or think about" territory. This goes for Swatch, Queen, and Seam (less so), who seem to buy heavily into the Lightner and Darkner dynamic, with Spamton corrupting the Lightner's dream being a strong taboo against what it means to be a Darkner.

As for what Jevil thinks, Spamton during the NEO fight is both a beautiful and horrifying display. Jevil at this point hasn't seen him in years since his imprisonment, and in their time apart Jevil has grown to find novelty in the cage that everyone else besides him is in since he's created huge emotional distance between him and the reality he lives in. Seeing the fact that Spamton had corrupted an abandoned dream of a Lightner and was causing so much chaos to the established order of the world would be exhilarating, but at the same time seeing that Spamton had accomplished this and still had his strings visible (and changed to a marionette puppet with no symbolic agency), it'd be a painful confirmation of his worldview that even Spamton, who deep down he still cares for, could never have been free.

Jevil would think at first he'd just gone through some nebulous situation to change what he looks like, since ofc he himself has toy-like traits (arguable if that happened with Gasterfication or not), Seam is a plushie cat, and other Card Castle Darkners are based on toys, but feeling the lack of life combined with the symbolic body of Spamton would mean to him something bigger had went wrong. He wouldn't dare to bring it up in an empathetic way, stuck in his mindset that it doesn't matter, but it'd still hit a part of him he doesn't like to think still exists. It's something he gets over quickly, almost performatively going back to fucking with him and taking advantage of his fear for entertainment, but it didn't sit well at first.

To me, the fact Spamton "died" isn't really a huge deal, kind of like with the ghosts in Undertale where no one really cares they're just ghosts. They're just doing their thing. To me it'd be fine if neither of them find out what happened for certain, but it's something that adds Flavor to his character.

It’s truly hard to overstate just how much Spamton’s mere existence is a nightmare for himself. Like, arguably the life of everyone in the Deltarune universe, and especially the Darkners, is an existential nightmare. Spamton’s just on a whole other level. This is Advanced Existential Nightmare.

Cause yeah, on some level it’s always kinda depressing to think about the idea that all Darkners are bound to the fact that they are created from inanimate objects and the emotions Lightners associate with them. That this forms some sort of irrevocable inner essence and Purpose they can never change, even if they truly wanted to be something else. No one can choose who they are in this world and so on.

But like, at least most of the other Darkners we met can get some sort of contentment from following the role they have been given. Tasque Manager loves managing things (and Tasques), Lancer is a playing card who ultimately just wants to play around and have fun, Queen seems to truly love being a useful computer who can supply Lightners with endless hours of entertainment and knowledge in her own egoist way. Even King’s initial angst was based around no longer being able to fulfill his purpose.

But Spamton… as the living embodiment of Spam Mail, he was created with the desires of your typical spam-mail; advertising and/or scamming people. And he was created to be obsessed with the things that your typical Spam Mail talks about; success, fortune, status and [[BIG SHOT]]. But he was also created to be utterly terrible at accomplishing these things.

He’s Spam Mail, Spam Mail is weird, obviously scammy and generally gets ignored or thrown away. And no matter how much Spamton wants or how hard he tries, by the basic nature of his being, he can never actually be good at this. And he also can’t, like, understand that maybe salesmanship isn’t his thing and take up macramé or something. Because that obsession is also part of his basic nature. Spamton’s basic nature is to be forever frustrated, desperate and miserable.

And that’s exactly why he’s the first Darkner we’ve seen who’s truly set on cutting his puppet-strings. I think that a lot of the ‘Freedom’ he wants is freedom from that utterly miserable lot in life. To longer be bound by the rules of Being Spamton. On some level it’s probably about breaking the Rule of Nature that means he has to be a failure, that he can’t truly become a [[BIG SHOT]] on his own. He wants to overthrow God so he can get the financial success that feels he deserves.

(I know some people are angry at the Mysterious Voice on the Phone for abandoning Spamton, but I do wonder if it wasn’t basically inevitable. That the Mysterious Voice, regardless of what they wanted, could simply not subvert Spamton’s Failure-ness forever)

And that’s kinda tragic cause it’s shows that even when trying to break away, he’s still doing so through the lenses of the existential curse that’s causing him so much suffering. To be free is to get [[BIG]], and the only way to get [[BIG]] is by scamming and tricking and manipulating. Because as long as he’s Spamton, those are really the only things he can do.

But on some level, I think, he might also want to be free of that. Maybe it started as wanting to break away from the ‘script’ that means he’s bound to be a failure - but with time, I think he also grew to want to want different things. It’s clear Spamton is very distressed about losing the friendship of the Addisons and Swatch. He considers his own loneliness as one of the most defining traits of his own existence (he always start projecting on Kris on the basis of both of them being lonely). But he literally can’t put his obsessive quest for success aside and focus on his relationships. He literally can’t.

Outside of, I guess, the Pacifist ending to his NEO fight. That’s the one point where Spamton was able to put his ambitions aside for the sake of friendships.

If only for a moment.

But however brief it was, it still feel like it meant something to Spamton.

For me, Jevil has a soft spot for kids (ex, Lancer)

aaaa i have so many, though not much for the fun gang as we approach more dr chapters, but i've mainly thrown headcanons onto the darkners here

for the addisons, i feel like all of them are night owls/never getting much sleep. They work a lot, but the transition to castle town has given them a bit of a break. Spamton, out of all of them, never/barely sleeps, being kept up by his own plan-making and next attempt at getting his sales to skyrocket, though always to fail. This only got worse in his post-big-shot years where constant attempts on the mansion kept him endlessly busy. He doesn't rest, and so he'll work himself until he crashes.

jevil is the opposite, at least to me! i'd like to imagine his time in the card kingdom (prior to his imprisonment) he would sleep often, since the joker card isn't used in many games (if at all). He'd sleep in the scarlet forest mainly, where i headcanon he got approached by the same being that helped spamton out. Seam set him up a little hammock near the ceiling so that he could sleep while they worked on mage-type stuff. Post-imprisonment, it was entertaining himself with solo-led games, perfecting his fighting patterns, and sleeping a lot. It would be kind of cool if, in contrast to spamton meeting their shared benefactor over the phone, jevil met him in a dream, until waking up and finding the dream was real.

Though i do like that headcanon that jevil has a soft spot for kids, i feel it's incredibly rare nowadays as he doesn't care much for anything anymore, rather than pure fun and chaos (he did try to kill three of them after all, and not out of desperation like spamton had but just because of the game). Like, his mind has cracked since his imprisonment, but he sees the potential for others to see past their own imprisonment and stir up some trouble for the nature of things. I feel he'd really like Susie especially, and Noelle for her ability to disrupt the narrative (like her objecting the player's snowgrave command at first). Though i do like the idea prior-imprisonment him trying to play games with Lancer, and Seam joining in. Though Jevil does not care for rouxls whatsoever and pities his existence above anyone else's. Something about being tied to "Rules" just doesn't sit well with him.

I definitely side on jevil knowing about the roaring, and the knight, but telling us would spoil the fun of the player finding out before the real fun has began. On the other hand, spamton desperately wants to tell Kris, to help them get an upper hand on us controlling them, but can't. I feel he's been conditioned in his time being puppeted to short out mentally whenever bringing such a topic up as seen in-game.

speaking of jevil, i headcanon he took a liking to spamton immediately, seeing how different he was from the other addisons and wanted to see what route his fate would start to go down as they both discovered more and more about what was really going on in their universe. Spamton was too focused on everything else to bother to care what jevil was or what his purpose was, but Jevil would return home to excitedly tell Seam everything about the puppeted salesman from the digital world.

onto darkners from the digital world, i feel like swatch took the brunt of the work preventing spamton from getting too close to neo, so when they physically couldn't take his wacky antics anymore, they reached out to Tasque manager, who helped them set up all the traps in the basement. She's dealt with spamton a handful of times, and one time had him captured so Swatch could try and talk to him and make one final attempt to reason with him, but he was too far gone at that point, deadset on neo.

that's all i got so far! just a few that have been swirling around in my brain for awhile lol, ! it keeps this 2+ year time without a new chapter just a little more fun :D

Mike Is Not The TV

Spamton seems to say here that the TV gameshow host character he alluded to throughout chapter 2 - which many people, including myself, pretty reasonably assumed to be Mike up until now - was the one responsible for his life going downhill, and thinks that he was the one who deserved to wind up homeless instead of himself. Spamton then says that everyone who didn't buy his products will pay... except for Mike. This implies that the TV and Mike are separate people, whom Spamton has two different opinions of.

This page's URL supports this idea, reading "damn you tenna". I believe this is most likely the actual name of the TV gameshow host character. It could be short for Antenna, which would fit the TV theming. People have assumed that Tenna is actually Mike's last name - which definitely could make sense in this context, if you interpret this as Spamton doing that thing where you invoke someone's last name for dramatic effect/to emphasize a point - however considering the rest of the current evidence, this seems unlikely to me. Spamton seemed to be comfortably on a first-name basis with him previous to this.

This answer from his Twitter Q&A makes a lot of sense when viewed from this angle as well. Spamton gets very angry and defensive, and refuses to give any information about Mike to someone he assumes to be "ONE OF THAT [Cathode]'S CREW" - that is to say, someone working for the TV. This response wouldn't make as much sense if Mike and Tenna were the same person. ...but, if Mike isn't the TV, then who is he? Looking back at previous mentions of Mike within this context, we can infer a few things.

The very first time Spamton ever mentioned Mike, it was amongst his other former friends - Notably, Mike is mentioned separately from both the "Easels" and "CRTs" - who are most likely Swatch and Tenna respectively - and is the only one called directly by name, which is another point that makes me think they were particularly close. Also, it's Tenna who he's calling a liar and a criminal here, so Spamton's strong emotional reaction to remembering his and Mike's relationship is probably not out of anger at him.

When the NEO body is about to explode and Spamton is desperately trying to... do whatever it was he was trying to do, he asks if Mike is "GETTING ALL THIS", which is the kind of thing you ask someone who's recording. Mike might not be the TV itself, but this does imply that Mike is related to recording devices. So, why were Mike and Spamton such close friends, why isn't he around anymore, and why is Tenna a lying criminal? I wanna hear everyone else's ideas, but here's my best guess: Mike was a radio host, probably a microphone. He and Tenna didn't get along. Tenna valued his TV studio's profits the most, but Mike? Mike cared about the freedom. Mike loved radio, because anybody's free to broadcast whatever they want to if they know how! So when Spamton finally made it big and got invited onto Mike's show, they really hit it off, and became fast friends. Maybe Mike kept doing things for Spamton for free, kept having him on? Spamton's appearances made Mike's show become so popular that people stopped watching Tenna's, until eventually, his studio was about to go under. Obviously, Tenna wasn't about to just let the Lightners stop paying attention to him. So Tenna decides to give his shadowmen the order, and... Video killed the radio star.

Spamton's free advertising was gone, his home was gone, the only one who really understood him was gone. So that's why Spamton decided he'd make Tenna pay. Make everyone pay. Everyone... Everyone except... Mike. Because Mike can't pay. Mike already paid.

This is my big "what the fuck is going on with Swatch and Spamton" post. It's a little long (sorry). In the game, Swatch implies that Spamton imitated him, specifically as part of his plan to gain access to the basement and take the NEO robot.

Swatch also shows that he isn't free to divulge details about these things and tries to misdirect and change the subject a few times, after accidentally revealing too much.

Swatch's use of the word "suitable" is also interesting to me, but I might make a separate post about that

When spoken to after the battle with Spamton NEO, Swatch tells a little more of his side of the story.

Even though the NEO robot was unused "trash" Swatch seems filled with regret over its existence and its wasted potential with the line "...but, in the end, nothing ever came of it."

It's somewhat reminiscent of the regret in Spamton's final monologue takes before he turns into Dealmaker: "It seems after all I couldn't be anything more than a simple puppet."

Swatch also reveals that he is aware of some aspects of Spamton's plans, his "twisted dreams."

How much does Swatch know about what happened to him? How much did Spamton tell him about what was happening to him before he was evicted? This is something I would be very interested to know.

Swatch's shop dialogue seems to imply Swatch feels used by Spamton. Swatch was fooled into thinking Spamton was trying to be his friend, got close to him to learn about the mansion, Queen, and the robot, and then tried to steal it. (And later succeeded.) Swatch's rare use of exclamation in "...that crooked salesman!" highlights his vexation.

This is easy to accept at face value since its in line with Spamton's desperate motivation to be uploaded into the NEO robot in-game, HOWEVER, the sweepstakes Q&A really shook things up because from Spamton's perspective things happened quite differently...

Spamton seemed offended or confused (or both) at the suggestion that his change of style was part of his scheming. Spamton saying that Swatch stole HIS look, later clarifying that he "stole it back" from him, implies that maybe Swatch didn't always dress in black and white, or that both of them dressed similarly for a while on purpose, but changed back at some point after disassociating from one another. This isn't to say that Spamton did not at one time try to disguise himself as Swatch, but that there's more complexity to the origin of their monochrome look than meets the eye.

Spamton's comment also reveals that he considered Swatch to be a close friend and confidant when he lived in the mansion, who listened to him and comforted him, but Swatch's loyalty to Queen strained their relationship when his status fell and he was eventually evicted. This contrasts with Swatch's view expressed to Kris, that Spamton was merely using him as a means to an end. Swatch's own line "to think he was once a valued customer..." is even referenced in Spamton's reply, "to think he once pretended to be my friend," (etc)

Spamtons response is so interesting because it casts doubt on the reliability of Swatch's in-game dialogue. Swatch and Spamton seem to be operating on two different versions of what happened. It's very hard to say who the more reliable narrator is. Spamton often exaggerates and his meaning is sometimes obfuscated due to his glitches, but Swatch is being crushed under 300 layers of Forced Professionalism.

Swatch thinks Spamton was faking their friendship for selfish gain, while Spamton thinks Swatch was faking their friendship because he failed to prove his loyalty to Spamton as his friend was stronger than his loyalty to Queen (which is a lot to expect from a BUTLER, but nevertheless...), noting that "in the end" he only listens to her. From Spamton's perspective, before his elite status changed, his friendship was real.

'Easels' is likely a reference to Swatch, since an easel holds a canvas (in Swatch's case, a digital canvas). CRT's could either be a reference to Queen or Tenna since both non-modern monitors and televisions use cathode-ray tubes, but its worth noting that he says Easels first.

Swatch repeatedly expresses reluctant compliance and exasperation with Queen's many and unusual requests in his shop dialogue, so his sense of duty to her is very strong, despite his weariness with her. Post Chapter 2, though, this isn't something Swatch needs to worry about, since she isn't a ruling Queen anymore. She's just Queen.

I will be very interested in seeing how Swatch's character develops as more Deltarune chapters are released. I don't know if he and Spamton will be able to become friends again or to reconcile post-chapter 2, but I would like to see more interactions and backstory reveal regarding these two in the future, especially considering the Q&A's suggestion that there is an unresolved misunderstanding between them. They share a lot of parallels such as: inability to act freely, not being able to speak directly, wasted potential/ruined dreams, and old regrets, aside from their similar monochrome + limited color designs. both spamton and swatch stand out physically from their peers of the same species. spamton is white while the other addisons are colorful. swatchlings change color like mood rings, but swatch is not shown to do this. not to mention both characters are shorter than their peers, which makes me hope that their connection will continue to remain relevant. There's certainly more that I could say, but I'll leave it here for now. These are mostly the things I wanted to cover that have been swirling around in my mind since the Q&A lore reveal.

what do you think anout the theory that spamton saw the real world and not the light world?

i think, whether or not spamton saw our world as well, it's pretty explicit, narratively tight, thematic, AND important that the blinding light spamton saw was indeed the light world!

i do think there are cases wherein darkners are juggling both at once, and i think you could easily apply that to spamton too. when writing, for example, i use the theory that spamton and jevil were initially meant to be player guides like ralsei, who appears aware of both higher realities in the game itself as well as in my interpretation of him.

(for posterity's sake, queen mentions pressing buttons a couple of times too, but that's because of a running gag with the controls of the car and robots she and kris pilot, not because she's overtly meta aware.)

but i think it's important to remember just how the light world slots into spamton's deal, both thematically and mechanically. on the mechanical end, we have the way he saw it at all; the shadow crystals. we get to see how they look from the dark world for ourselves, and this isn't just for show. we're getting to see what spamton saw, too.

to us, it may look ordinary. but to the darkners, that world is a blinding light. the light world is a terrifying place with an incredible power (which i'll touch on in just a moment as well), a place where the darkners are literally objects. seeing their worldstate literalized like that is mindbending – not only are they darkners made to serve a higher reality, they exist as nothing but objects to ordinary people in that reality. and objects aren't granted any autonomy, no matter how autonomous they might imagine themselves to be. they're not just computer (darkner type), they're Literally a computer being used by a person the same way spamton might drive a car or swatch might organize the plates in their cafe. seeing that is not only eldritch, but it's also got an element of realizing just how binding fate is baked in there too. it's seeing the strings of fate in their most distilled state. seeing the click of a mouse that guides swatch to bring the neo body into reality. seeing the searches typed directly onto queen's keys. seeing the bright, clear line that delineates all of it.

i've touched on how spamton parses this (because he's a grindset guy at heart, someone who doesn't necessarily question the system) in some other posts, which you can check out here and here and here.

but this brings us into the thematic element. deltarune uses religious imagery quite often, especially in reference to higher realities, and we can see that and the aforementioned strings of fate coming into play with neo. neo is something i talk about a lot in my swatchton meta because i feel it is crucial to understanding who spamton is as a character.

and the neo body is a vector of god – literally.

and this is why spamton describes it the way he does, why he wants it so badly. it's powerful – made by a lightner. (he wants a perfect body he wants a perfect soul, you know the song.) the lightners have the power to determine the fate of the darkners, and so too does neo have an incredible power itself. could it grant spamton the power to determine his own fate?

well, not quite. it's still a part of this world, after all – there's no escaping the strings. no one can choose who they are in this world, and trying to game the system still leaves you smack dab in the middle of it.

there's a common thought that, because of the wall in spamton's shop, spamton must've seen the light of the sun. i think, if he did see both worlds, it's possible! but it seems more likely that either he didn't see the sun at all and was burned by the light that is the light world; the weird layout of the light world wasn't considered while making this choice (because there are so many rooms with impossible windows in the light world, particularly the school); and/or, more likely and most thematically,

he saw a beautiful blue sky more like this one. after all, the library might not have windows, but it does have windows.

i also think the music ban is probably not real because swatch talks about queen asking them to write rap anthems for her. k_k keeping the other two from actually breaking into the palace because if they did they'd see swatch making music and be like hey,

they Do mention that she banned all music except for The Kind She Likes (being reverse diss tracks/ stuff praising queen, and noise music) but like. why does no one mention a music ban except scc. there is a plugboy who wants to join the rebellion but they Never mention that it’s. about music. i think it’s entirely possible that the plugboy would want to join a revolution against queen when at the beginning of the dark world we see there were countless terrified plugboys talking about and getting wired Bc Of Queen.

AND swatch and queen both talk about music at separate points, like you said about them saying they write bitcrushed rap anthems for her, and the whole scene in the car w noelle and her mixtape. they could have very easily had a line about “yeah btw all other music is cancelled bc I/Queen Said So”

I’m picturing sweet and/or capn coming home like “Queen banned music!!! can you fucking BELIEVE THAT???” and kk is just thinking to himself ‘not in the slightest. but i can see you’re going through something’ so he plays along

i think out of the three of them sweet probably would’ve been the most willing to break into queen’s basement to help spamton get the neo suit bc ‘yeah I’ve just been basically betrayed by someone i thought was my friend and you seem to be on my side so sure I’ll do something potentially very illegal for you’ and then kk has to give them a scare story on Why We Don’t Want To Risk Getting Arrested

Ok here’s me talking about spamton (my headcanons and shit)

So I do really like the theory where Spamton was thrown into the acid pool. I feel it went down like Spamton didn’t pay rent for a hot minute because of his business completely failing and eventually closing. For this point in time he was just slowly losing grasp of himself. As he kept trying and trying to get that phone call back, ever time there wasn’t a response he would just lose more and more of his sanity. Queen was friends with Spamton so obviously she gave him time. Eventually she got sick of it and lost patience, inevitably throwing him into the acid lake. I think it would be extra sad if it was one of the swatchlings or maybe even Swatch that threw him in so queen won’t get her hands dirty.

Once he went into the lake he tried swimming out but obviously failed. The acid made him really short. He was always pretty short compared to everyone but the Acid really didn’t help. The acid also like melted away his skin, eventually revealing a harder, puppet skin kinda thing if you know what I mean? His mouth sort of got stuck in a nutcracker kinda thing? Like he can’t move his mouth up or down. However he can move like his cheeks and upper lip, allowing him to slightly smile or frown

Once he got out of the lake after a while, he crawled out of the castle (it was probably night at the time so he wasn’t caught). He couldn’t walk because he was in a lot of pain. He stayed at a dumpster(obviously) for the night and eventually just decided to stay in them.

Now once he was able to walk and move around again, he started walking around the back streets of Cyber City and just started digging through the trash. Doing this, he found the outfit he wears in game. It was filled with holes so he patched it up with other things he found.

Eventually he snuck back into the mansion somehow, remembering the Neo body. I’m not up to date on the lore for what exactly happened so I don’t have much for this but I have one thing. Spamton found the glasses he wears at Swatches shop or somewhere in the castle. He thought maybe he could try and disguise himself but one he was short and the acid did not help. He did still alter his appearance to look more like swatch to get to the Neo body, which obv failed.

I also really like the idea of him always having that voice thing where he blurts out random advertisements, however it gets worse when he isn’t himself or just not feeling well. When he was with the other Addisons he was very quiet and shy, partly because of this. He used to really hate it and when he became successful he was so scared of messing up on interviews and commercials. The addisons (specifically Pink) would joke about this, which would get under his skin. However (of course I’m putting spamvil in this) Jevil found it kinda cool. He had an interesting way of speaking himself so he found the advertisements kinda cute.

Speaking of Jevil i wanna talk about him too. I picture him and Spamton meeting like this. Spamton takes a drive to just idk get away from stuff and his car breaks down. He does know how to fix it but he doesn’t have the tools on him bc why would he. He’s trying to call someone but the signal sucks because they don’t really use phones there. He’s super frustrated so he just walks away. Jevil just happened to be hanging around doing whatever and he saw Spamton. At first Spamton was like “what the fuck”. He asked if there were any places where he could get his car fixed and Jevil was just like 🤷‍♂️. Spamton was very annoyed and frustrated so Jevil just took him around the kingdom to pass time until the morning. The two became ‘friends’ after this but Spamton def had something for Jevil. When the morning came Spamton was finally able to get a hold of someone and he left the kingdom. However because they’re friends now Jevil and Spamton wrote to eachother to communicate. Once they became closer and Jevil visited Cyber city more and more Jevil got a phone and was able to talk to spamton easier.

Now getting to the divorce. All of what I just said happened before Spamton was thrown into the acid. Now because both of them went insane for separate reasons, they probably had a fight caused by that and just decided it would be best to separate. This happened right when Spamton started losing everything after he didn’t get the phone call back.

HOWEVER. they do get back together eventually. I do NOT want spamton or Jevil dying after their boss fights. I made a separate post about this before but after Spamton’s boss fight he lived in the castle with Ralsei and the others. He became really good friends with Ralsei and helped him decorate and paint the rooms. (I’ve said this a million times before but I hc spamton as an artist) Eventually Ralsei found Jevil because he didn’t move in after his boss fight (he was hangin around doing his own thing for a bit). Ralsei didn’t tell Spamton who was moving in so when Spamton had finished his room he was just shocked to see him.

It basically went like this. Spamton was finishing up painting his room and he heard the door open. Ralsei was just showing Jevil his room, unaware the two knew eachother. Both of them were just shocked. Ralsei was confused but Jevil had asked for him to just wait outside for a bit. The two awkwardly talked for a minute. Because they separated at such a strange time and now that they were in better places and not entirely unstable, they missed eachother. They talked it out and set up a time to just work things out.

Eventually they did and then they kissed and all is well🥳🥳

Edit: Here’s some stuff about his time with the Addison bc I forgor :3

While Spamton lived with the Addison he was closest to Blue. He was the nicest to Spamton and helped him as much as he could. Spamton and Pink probably had the worst relationship. Pink was kind of an ass to Spamton just because he knew Spamton was doing anything for his company and was kind of just really bad at his job.

Spamton helped the Addison with things like keeping track of numbers and advertisements. I headcanon that Spamton is really good with math so he can help the Addison’s with numbers stuff. He also draws many advertisements for all of them because he’s an artist.

When Spamton became successful, Pink was the first to ditch him. Then it was yellow. Then orange. But it took a while for Blue. He stuck with him. He was friends with him. But spamton grew greedy and kind of rude. He only ever focused on his business. He never had time for anything else. It was all he ever talked about. Blue cared about him but he couldn’t do it anymore. After a fight, blue ditched him and Spamton officially had no friends. He had Jevil but we all know how that ended up☹️

When Spamton is not entirely insane anymore and after everything happens he meets up with the Addisons again and tries to fix their friendship. Eventually everyone, even Pink, forgives him and they’re all friends now. Spamton still helps them out with advertisements and numbers just like he used to🥳

Okay so that’s basically it!! Really enjoyed writing this and I’ll update is as soon as I come up with something new!!

swatch neo... a kind of silly concept (pls click/tap for higher quality :sob:) i got a new art program and FINALLY my pen pressure sensitivity works with it and its good and i wont have to draw in fucking aggie anymore!!!!

so i had a funny idea for an au where spamtons big shot era takes place during chapter 2, meaning he would be a more major character than he is in canon. was considering him sort of replacing berdlys role in the story but that would make snowgrave confusing to work out. also had the idea that swatch would sorta indirectly swap with him and end up being the bonus boss? maybe spamtons shop replaces his and hes salty that queen threw him away in favor of this 2-inch-tall awfully pompous man? swatch (and presumably queen since. its her mansion) seems to be the only other person who knows about the neo machine in the basement :thinking: idk. i might expand on this more if anyone would be interested?

Deltarune: Swatched Fates master post

deltarune: swatched fates (witch im just going to call SF) is an au i made last summer when i was really really bored and it isnt my best work but i kinda like it

the story goes that spamtons little helper guy on the phone never stopped helping him, spamton continued to get more and more powerful until he eventually became this jeff bezos-like capitalist villain.

everything in the cyber world is owned by him pretty much, all the products are manufactured by his company, etc

obviously, the queen wanted in on all his popular stuff, so she started selling it in the shop in her castle. because of the addison that moved in to sell it, swatch lost his job

when you arrive at the part where you would normally meet spamton for the first time, you instead meet swatch. he hasnt gone as insane as spamton would have, hes more just depressed and hungry

when he meets you he recognizes that youre a lightner, and you could help him. swatch has knowledge about the neo body, and wants you to bring him to it so he can fight spamton, probe hes better, and get his job back

you can load swatch onto the empty disc and take him to the basment, as you would have with spamton, you put him into the neo body and...

nothing happens, you can leave the basment entirely and head back to the main room of the castle, where the addison shop is

at this point, spamton and a few goons have arrived to perform a quality check on the shop, you'll notice they have significantly cleaner and more expensive clothes than nearly every other person in the dark world, the exception being the queen of course

at this point, the lights go out, and then turn red, green, and blue interchangeably (they flash alot, so if for some reason anyone ever animates this there will be an epilepsy warning)

swatch decends from the ceiling, attatched to a bunch of differently colored strings, and immediately beats the shit out of spamton and the addisons after a minor fight

he then turns to you

he explains he doesnt know what the strings are, but they're restricting him, he needs you to cut them and set him free

a fight begins, still in the main room of the castle, it plays out similarly to the spamton neo fight except more swatch-themed

at the end, weather you fight or cut the strings, swatch will fall and die similar to normal spamton

the rest of the game plays out how it usually would, as this is near the end of the game, however youll notice in the city backdrops that most of the billboards are no longer lit up
