like how ppl wil take literally anything chara ever did/said and make the most negative/"evil" conclusion for it but asriel mentioning that they climbed for a reason that "wasn't very good" has them ignoring blatant subtext to say bs like "there's NO proof they did it too kill themselves they were just evil!!!"
I love the No Time Left gang more than life itself due to how competent they are when, by all possible means, they shouldn’t be. Okay. Let me run you through the casting call real quick.
- First off, we have a guy who (very recently) had his arm amputated in a dingy morgue by a ramshackle group of people (or literally by himself) with little to no medical expertise
- a dude who fell off a literal fucking moving train, like, two days ago and is recovering from serious infection
- a pregnant woman
- the grief-stricken, token loose cannon of the gang who lacks even a shred of self-preservation and is perpetually this *touches my pointer and thumb together* close to strangling half the group
- and then, finally, we have a guy diagnosed with terminal dumbass disease. There’s nothing wrong with him, he’s just an idiot.
So, all things considered, how the ever-loving fuck did these guys plough through a walker-infested city for a considerable time, escape a house swarming with zombies unscathed, and then get split up due only to shitty architecture. What the fuck.
After Clark and Bennings-thing my next favorite character is Fuchs. He’s not really sociable, but at least he’s doing his part of research, trying to help the crew. Even suspicpecting others, he’s not so openly aggressive and rather secretive. Accepting MacReady as a reliable person in charge, Fuchs is persistent enough to give some important info.
I like his delicate appearance and attitude. With that candle he’s like a maiden in dark castle, right from gothic romance.
Fuchs’ death in its own way is even more sad that Bennings’ who was taken by the monster or Clark’ died from the human hand. Was it suicide, monster’s attack or an accident, Fuchs died in lone and pain. It was unclear and meaningless
Saw someone in a tiktok comment section saying they got their sexual awakening from Kurt Russell in The Thing (1982) which is absolutely hysterical to imagine trying to watch THE THING for the first time and then all of a sudden your brain starts doing this:
Soo.. what are your headcanons for nauls if you have any? And if you don't then what were are your thoughts on the witch's kitchen fic on Outpost31.com? in my opinion I actually like the fic because it actually bothers to focus and give some insight on nauls ,whilst delving into some darker topics at the same time which I thought was quite interesting!
Crapp its been so long, i mostly headcanon nauls has a bunch of older sisters as a more lighthearted one, but on a much darker note i headcanon he really did carry survivors guilt after windows died and essentially accepted his own death as a kind of atonement
I also think him and windows are besties for my windauls meta
Uuhh the story DID focus on him and it was nice but i hate the moments where the writer gets wayyy too weird about nauls being black and of course the r slur even only said once just made me disregard it more. The only one i liked 100% was the remake of the 2011 script on the website. But besides that i love nauls he did nothing wrong <3
