i have so many refs for the upcoming scene, it's insane. the interior sketch is going to be the actual page though, but i normally don't sketch out the whole background in pencil like this. also eight discarded performance outfits for ennie (difficult to design something for a character with the trait 'dresses over the top in casual situations'. you can see me going a bit insane on the second page) and two background characters who i wanted to sketch first before putting in the actual page.

The new Mammon and Fizz episode has been released and I wanna put my two cents in.

The palette is oooof........ One of the most "hard to watch" HB episodes. Seriously, hasn't anyone told Vivzie that her colour choices are just utterly failed?

Mammon was simply annoying and cringe, especially considering he's one of the highest "demons". He curses every few seconds, has an Australian accent and is some kind of a rock star(because......because). Oh yeah, he's also a very bad guy, cuz he disrespects women! Also I find it funny that Vivzie said in one of her tweets that she apologizes the fans wouldn't like him, as he's "fat and ugly". In reality, he's just a typical Vivziepop-ish male character, having sharp teeth and eyes without pupils. And his "fatness" is just looking like a Christmas tree with a round body.

Overdetailed backgrounds and sloppy animation, as always. Some moments look reeeeeally stiff. Maybe Vivzie starts drawing easier backgrounds and make characters with less details so the animation was better and faster to produce? Just dreaming.......

The songs are just generic tasteless pop-stuff. Gosh, I just wish they have a better composer cuz it's tiring to hear these cheap pop tunes every time. Maybe get some real rock or something with synthesizer........ I don't know.....

The background characters in this episode look much less like some early Deviantart furry OCs or cosplay freaks, which is a real plus. Take some cuties:

I really like the left amphibia girl, she's so pretty. Also yeah, bg characters really look better than in previous episodes. Almost like they were drawn by someone who actually knows their job well and doesn't make every person look like different art style or different teenager's OC.

Fizz being tired to be a clown for entertainment, having panic attacks, dealing with crazy fans and a shitty boss was honestly a good idea but the final song was just too weak to handle it. If it was done better, it would be really good.

The sigh language kid is cute and it was interesting to see a disabled person being cheered and supported by another disabled person.

Oh wow Viv made another female characters whose entire personality is being bitchy and arrogant(even to each other, though they're sisters they're calling each other whore, bitch etc.). Can't wait for the fanbase to hate these two or lust for them in the worst way possible.

Though there were actually some beautiful and......esthetic frames.

Am I the only one who never understood why Fizzarolli is considered a sex icon in this show? Like, yeah, Mammon said that he'll exploit his "clown employee" in every way possible and it's all for money, but I still don't get the whole "having tons of sex dolls based on him" thing. Who in sanity would buy a sex doll of Fizz? He looks like a stick with limbs and painted face, which is somehow considered sexy by Vivzie or her fans? Wouldn't it be more logical for a woman to be a sex icon? Lots of real women, including teen idols, were sexualized and fetishized for media by their producers and shown as beauty icons. But I just couldn't imagine the same with males. Like, I'm sorry, but to me Fizz who's a circus performer, celebrity and a sex icon is in the same category as Angel Dust who's a porn star, stripper and prostitute at the same time.

Alright guys, I'm going to stop telling myself a lie, and forcing myself to have no creativity whatsoever.

Big thing: I'm not going to write for rottmnt for a while. I don't know how long, but just not right now. The biggest thing is that I've written a lot (obviously not now, but before). I just think I need some time to just gain some freshness for a little while.

Now, I'm sorry to disappoint a lot of you, considering most of you followed me for my rottmnt content. I just don't want to continue not providing content, and also give half-assed works.

So that being said, for now, (since I haven't found a fandom I want to obsessively write for) I'm just going to write ideas. What I mean by that, is like scenarios of characters that have no name, no like background info?

i've been meaning to design these two for weeks now ever since i got hit with a vision for designs for them both.. these bosses are so creature to me i'm happy with how these guys turned out

more thoughts on the designs specifically under the cut bc i had a lot of thoughts when designing both as well as some lore thoughts since i've had them in my head for a few weeks now :3

pinging marciale-

it's a silly two headed dragon! it has two heads/faces as is, so i wanted to incorporate that somehow in the design

it can manipulate the goopy jelly bits of itself at will :3 that's how it often goes into a ball to roll around its boss arena

speaking of The Goop i am aware that pinging marciale doesn't have the more 'bony' looking jelleton bits in it however this guy looked bald without them

probably the most friendly looking of the bosses and it probably isss in a way at least in the lore rotating in my head. also absolutely the least 'orderly' of them all lmao

because its arena takes place in what i've always assumed to be a library/archive of sorts i like to think this guy is a archivist/librarian. or at least is meant to be one

also probably some sorta astronomy vibes because gestures to the constellations on the ceiling of its boss arena. do u think this guy likes sleeping under the 'stars' before its boss fights bc i sure do

one last more character central thing i think it would like drums. or play them even. this is just bc of the amen break in phase 3 of c0ld st0rage yea but also i think pinging marciale would go crazy on drums

asynchronous rondo-

i could not tell you why but this creature gave me bird vibes (actually i can it's bc i assigned rondo's boss theme to an unrelated bird robot oc of mine so rondo got assigned bird by association)

the inside of the funnel basically contains most of the goop that makes up all of rondo's faces, which it can make several (even uses some of them as hands if it really wants)

the 'eyes' of the faces themselves function as search lights!

further on the topic of the faces the mouths are also how it uses some of its attacks. like sting ray my behated

has more wheel like feet bc honestly? it felt like a vibe. rondo can skate if it wants

functions as the guard/a sort of security in the spire since. well. gestures to its boss arena

also pointing at the sushi(??) plates in the background of its arena and that it looks like a sushi conveyor belt i think rondo could cook. whether this is for the jelletons or the hypothetical prisoners idk i didn't think that far into this. ...and not that i'd imagine there's much purpose for that in the memverse but shhh let's ignore that anyways this cone can COOK 🔥🔥🔥

thissss. i know a lot of people like to insert themselves into the fictional worlds they love and more power to them, but not everyone does - some of us have literally no interest in seeing ourselves (or a representation of ourselves) involved in fictional worlds, their characters and stories, or ships and shippy action. i know i joke about wanting to fuck the characters i'm into but in reality i have no actual interest in inserting myself into their world and interacting with them, and i prefer my ships very much not involving me in any way. when i imagine scenarios and fantasies about the world and characters i love, i'm not a character in that world with them, i'm just the camera man

also this. i'm not gonna pretend that the few OCs i have (i'm very bad at creating and keeping them lmao) don't all have a little bit of me in them, but they're not in any shape or form meant to be or represent me, and things that happen to them aren't things i want to happen to me. personally i really like creating Just Some Guys that just kinda exist in a title's world with as little as possible to do with the actual plot as possible, guys who are just doing their own very unimportant thing in the background and might not ever even meet the main characters, much less be their besties or lovers or whatever. and again, there's nothing wrong with those things, but i really wish people would stop assuming that an OC automatically equals self-insert and therefore represent you and what you want to do or happen to you

anyway TL;DR there are many ways to fan, to ship, and even to have OCs, and people need to stop assuming that the way they like to do it is universal and making assumptions on other people based on that. just because you (random you) ship only dynamics and relationships that you approve of in real life and your ships represent ideal relationships to you, relationships to strive for in real life, doesn't mean that it's the same for everyone else - a lot of people just ship relationships that captivate them in one way or another

Chez is a chaotic and hyper teen who is currently on the run due to his “criminal record.” He is the younger sibling of Cola and runs some type of fast food-chain; in which he gives others food poisoning and possibly killing some with the materials he puts in his food.

PERSONALITY

Chez is an immoral and a very energetic demon. He is very aggressive and tries to intimidate those who he deems “below him.” He is temperamental and is a bit stupid.

He also is extremely bossy to Cola, and often talks back to him and gives him sass, much to the annoyance of Cola.

Chez is very reckless and used to look up to Subspace in the past, some of Subspace’s personality bleeding into Chez’s own and partially leading him to how he acts during the present.

He isn’t all that bad though, as he is pretty respectful and determined. He may not seem trustworthy, but if he likes you enough then you can put all of your trust in his hands. Chez also keeps his promises and fulfills them no matter what.

Chez is also very creative and hardworking, being very honest and blunt to others. He also holds a high ego, which takes time to shatter since he is hard-headed and stubborn.

If he ever got a friend though, he would be very caring and supportive towards them, though he will still be blunt and l mean, but he can’t really help it.

Chez may not seem like it, but he means well. Well, half of the time he does.

Half of the good things he does is because Cola forced him to do it.

Cola ;

Cola is Chez’s older brother, who deeply cares for Chez despite him being a very irritating person to deal with. Even if he sometimes hates Chez, he is willing to do anything to protect his younger brother.

Slingshot ;

Chez thinks Slingshot’s Cafe is rivaling his “restaurant” so he has some type of hatred towards Slingshot. Though, said person couldn’t care less.

Subspace ;

Chez once looked up to Subspace, some of his personality and morals being influenced by Subspace. However, he later on stopped seeing Subspace as his role model. The reason why is unknown.

Ban Hammer ;

Chez hates this guy. He’s always having to run away from Ban Hammer and sometimes dreams of ripping his face off. Probably would lose if he tried to phight Ban Hammer though.

bitchy inbox time (i’m not over thirty but i do love sirius black) !!

there are many (many) things that annoy me about the current mwpp fandom (and/or a specific part of it). it’s not just jamming all the DE’s and order members in the same year(s) at hogwarts, and making the DE characters secretly good (but not their parents) and also very boring, and the complete OC-ification of characters because the characterisations were like that in this one big fic, and the frequent attempts to make the 70s fit into the 2k20s ideas of progressiveness. it’s not just stuff like that.

i don’t like the whole ‘fandom agrees’ thing either, but that’s not very new nor fandom specific anyway so that’s not something i can complain about lol. what i hate the most is that it just takes the heart out of it, i guess? basically all these characters who get extra background, or additional background, or whatever are the same, just with a different look and different name. the terf lady didn’t give much of a flying fuck about any of the characters, but the fandom did. and each character was (usually) so vibrant!! distinguishable!! even in the fanart designs, you know?

and now it’s like. the same cookie-cutter guy or gal. queer and tattooed, with mental health issues fashionable clothing like it’s something you can just fucking put on—some sort of tiktok aesthetic played for being ‘relatable’. all the DE’s have shitty parents and a heart of gold and Not That Bad actually. remus gets turned into james and if a very specific sirius portrayal was afab, people would call her character one of the most misogynistic and sexist portrayals in the series.

‘we’re throwing away canon and making the series progressive and morally good’ but we’re not, because the queerness feels fetishised and the depiction of abuse is so unserious, and we’re apparently making bigots ‘misunderstood’. it’s just. HNHHHH. so annoying.

I spent a lot of time banging my head against a wall, trying to figure out WHY this was happening, and when I found out that a lot of people joining the fandom had never read the books, that's when things clicked. It's not GOOD, but at least I sort of have an explanation now for why these characterizations are happening and why they're so prevalent. If you only know these characters from fanfic and TikTok....well I'm still gonna bitch about all of this but at least I know why you're writing them a certain way.

Top 3: Damon So, with Damon, we got a glimpse of how he is when it comes to jealousy, right? He had this maniacal, almost serial killer vibes as he killed Jupiter. Alongside with martial artist!Darling and the person darling got too close with. His himbo persona is just a front after all. He's genuinely a scary man who's full on intent on making sure you and everybody else doesn't know of his... Tendencies. So, the more you don't know about Damon, the more of a danger he is to society. So be wise, don't make him jealous, and don't fuck it up.

Top 2: Ignatius He wants your attention all to himself. He wants to hog it, and never let go. If you forgot, he killed off half his crewmates and yours because he absolutely hated it when your attention isn't on him. It wasn't with remorse too, he just straight up made them poisoned pie without hiding the fact. Yet, he's too good of an actor that the police didn't even suspect him. He wants you only for him.

Top 1: Hades When I made Hades, he and Rowan were based on two of the seven deadly sins, with Rowan being Greed and Hades being Envy. Envy and jealousy may not be the same, but they are interconnected, woven from the same thread. And Hades is envy incarnate, and in return, jealous incarnate. It may not be prevalent, but it's what his character is supposed to be, to the point that he suspected even his own men of wanting your love and torturing them.

I genuinely didn't expect top 2 and top 3, but while I was debating to myself about my yan OCs, it felt right having them there LMAO.

Yandere men set 2 (as of Feb 14)

Top 3: Alpheus Alpheus, a man who never felt emotions nor feelings, would be clumsy at handling this newfound feelings. Meaning, he doesn't know how to reel in his actions that are now smeared with emotions. And he probably will not, since the fresh feeling of finally being able to feel was too euphoric to pass up on. So you bet your ass this man will be extremely jealous of all the people who you will talk to.

Top 2: Aeron One of this man's triggers to become the demon king was you not remembering him due to helping people other than him. He also went out of his way to corrupt the fae ring into a binding engagement ring to make sure you will never, ever take it off. So if you think about it, his overdramatic ass moaning about how you didn't remember him and being blinded by his jealousy made him from a Great Hero to the Demon King. SMH.

Top 1: Yuta This man, once revered as the greatest prosecutor, became a serial killer, just because he's jealous that your attention was focused on the mafia bosses (Rowan and Hades) your initial case had! And now, he's smiling like the damn perfect man he is because your attention is back to him. Although, I wouldn't put it pass him to not get jealous of his own serial killer persona too lol.

Okay. This one I somehow expected except for Alpheus. I was thinking of Uno, but no, the man is too secure and overconfident of his own charm to be that level of jealous. Also Viper and Orion, but no. They're not on the same level as these guys.

Honestly, their positions are interchangable. But the reason why Yuta is in number one is due to their background and nature, and not their jealousy level (I know, sounds not right, but I swear I have a reason.)

Hades is envy incarnate, also jealousy. That made his character explainable as to why he has pretty high jealousy levels. He's also a bad guy, a man that crosses with the law.

But Yuta? Yuta is a prosecutor. A man of the law, somebody who upholds it and makes sure all those who opposes meet a fate behind bars. OMGS okay this THE ocs/persona ever OKAY

Its been so long since ive started drawing this FREAK ASS storyline and on like a random tuesday it dropped back into my lap AND im always thinking abt it ALWAYS thinking abt lore im a nerd)) BUT IM DRAWING THEM AGAIN YIPPIEEEEEEE

its so insanely cringe talking about these 3 guys lore cuz they are like,,, the same guy,,,, which happens to be ME LMAO

ANd then im reminded that this entire story is like Life and Death and Heaven and infinite realities and found family and open ended ending because there is nothing that deems these guys will ever find peace,, which all comes from this dream i had in 2019 LOL

Im very slowly putting out the story on my toyhouse and its very fun but id much prefer lik talking about it or just jumbling it all out irl and just ranting out the storyline through words (BUT ITS SO EMBARRISINGBHIDRGFY) and yet at the same time i crave to just have it ALL ORGANIZEDDDDD and out of my brain!!!! rAHHH

man i draw these guys a LOT though the story is not just like about these three, i reallly like getting into all the backgrounds and hinting at like lore and stuff (MORE LIKE TRAUMA LOL) Like what makes these characters work and such,

Whenever i do think of like the rest of the story and how id actually express the stpryline, and the whole plot of The After Nothing its more or less from outsiders (the other ocs) finding out about everything, "who is this guy and how did he get to the After?" "How are you alive but souless??" "Ew oh my god is the DRAGON YOUR SOUL???" "What do you MEAN youve died and every peice of soul is going to you because youve LOST YOUR OWN REALITY????" "YOURE BEING CHASED??????" and all of that info being forced out of some guy who just does not know how to comprehend being a person (because he isnt exactly one)

i have a few comics in mind!!! (shitty sketchbook example above) so as soon as i reintroduce like the main characters to my insta (through the wip in this post) Ill definetely get a move on to some silly interactions, before they meet the whole main plot and other characters!!!!!
