there are many many reasons to feel like ancient breeds are being released too fast that have nothing to do with actually wanting those ancients in your own lair ffs it’s so annoying reading smug assholes post about how they have no issue with the pacing because “well the breeds aren’t going anywhere you can get them eventually stop worrying about having all the new things right away!!!” i fuckin hate these undressable bitches and i still very much feel like we’re getting them way too fast. why are people too stupid to consider literally any other reasons for people to not like the pace of ancient releases. if you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about then shut the fuck up perhaps

Hey I say your cute oc art with them both wearing pride hoodies but I just want to inform you (and your other friend who also made really cute art of those characters) that the pan flag you used was made by an exclusionist that reused terf lies about the pan flag creator that are like around 10 years old made up to attack them.
Again I wanna say no hate and I fully get if you just saw some tweet saying it's the new flag, to use it and the situation around it got needlessly complicated fast. I can't even send the evidence of the "new" pan flag creator being an awful exclusionist (they weren't pan, talked about how our identity shouldn't exist, questioned if ace people should be apart of the community and was saying non binary people didn't exist too while misgendering the og pan flag creator constantly) because they kept on deleting and then saying random stuff to try and avoid questions as to why they're using old terf lies about the pan flag creator again but this time on twitter so I understand if I'm confusing rn.
Idk I don't want to ramble and I also don't want to take up your time but I also don't want to leave out any important information so I'm gonna just send this as me and you can if you want of course ask questions.
Again love your art love pan characters but that flag straight away wasn't really welcomed by the pan community. The flag we use has a lot of history that's really important to us, the creator is still up and active if you at all want to look into them, also the new flag just doesn't feel like it actually came from any place of love for our community it was made by an outsiders from lies that's been cleared up years ago then we got yelled at to use it instead of natural "hey let's put out designs for a flag and see what the community likes the most" that happens in all the other queer communities so this is just my ask to not use it again?

Hello! I know you aren't a big fan of LMK, but there's a sideblog run by @digitalagepulao named @digitaldoeslmk that is doing a rewrite of the show by following book canon, and their ideas and art is FIRE so please have a look if you have the time. Also, I remember seeing a few lines that Sun Wukong has medical training during his years of learning. Would he count as having a degree in medicine in modern terms? How is he during childbirth? Do you think he'd be able to do a human childbirth successfully? Have a great month, enjoy your food, and don't forget to sleep early regularly!
As a matter of fact @angstandhappiness I am recently familiar with @digitaldoeslmk and let me just say WEH @digitalagepulao has done an amazing job at creating one of the most fun and interesting Monkie Kid aus out there!
I'm honestly really appreciative of the though and care they've put into a version of the lego show where JTTW happened according to Wu Cheng'en's version, and particularly the way this means that A) Sun Wukong is a genuinely good mentor & that therefore there's many a lovely shifu-tudi moment between him and MK (plus SWK is his book canon size here so that's an automatic improvement over LMK canon lmao), B) Red Son gets more time in the spotlight both as a character and as a source of insights into the histories of the JTTW canon characters, and C) the stakes aren't of the constant end-of-the-universe levels & therefore MK gets a Fucking Break from the Horrors & also gets to make a lot more friends in stuff like a theater group.
tbh I was pretty delighted by this plot idea @digitalagepulao put out where MK is getting ready for a theatrical production of Havoc in Heaven where he's playing Sun Wukong but then both the actor and the understudy who played Erlang Shen got ill, & that this was resolved by MK getting SWK to play his one-time nemesis. That's a really fun idea for a number of reasons, not the least being it seems like a great scenario for the Monkey King to have actually understandable stage fright & some genuine conversations about his past & what he learned from his experiences BUT ALSO for it being a great way for Monkie Kid to give a respectful nod to past retellings of Xiyouji even while letting MK & co. shine.
In conclusion people should definitely check out @digitaldoeslmk.
As for the second part of this ask, you probably couldn't say that the Monkey King has anything like a contemporary medical degree going strictly by Xiyouji canon, but he does prove himself to be a clever primate when it comes to medicine! Honestly it could make for a kind of funny JTTW future story where SWK goes through medical school to get an MD so that he can be an officially licensed doctor in the 21st century lol. And while we never see SWK helping someone with pregnancy or childbirth in the og classic (discounting the mpreg arc lmao), his status as both an extremely old communal grandpa who's seen a lot and a protector of children seem to both suggest that he'd be pretty good at assisting in childbirth for humans, monkeys, and yaoguai alike.

hya: honestly, probably not. i feel like most people who were to genuinely guess his kinks would assume them correctly (unless they assume (1) he doesn’t have sex cuz they’re not wrong it’s only amon that actually ignites hya’s sex drive (2) you’re erecia who was SOOOO convinced hya was a bottom that she still doesn’t believe he’s not pfff)
amon: honestly amon doesn’t have many hard no’s, but actually until hya, bondage was a hard no for him, but he trusts hya WAY more than he trusts random gang members or people he was just in a fight with (which are the kinds of folks he usually had sex with before hya) so you can kind of understand his reasoning. the thing about hya and bondage as well is hya doesn’t tie him up in any way that amon couldn’t get out of if he didn’t want to—it’s almost more symbolic to the power hya has over him that makes amon stay in place. the ropes are more… symbolism to him and in a weird way, hya also understands that. it’s the power play, not that amon can’t legitimately get out; hya tends to enjoy tying amon up “prettily” (borderline shibari tbh) and less of the “yeah i’m actually capturing you/holding you down” shit. it’s one of the weird unspoken things they kind of just Get about each other.

It was a half mask like his own; the slow smile that came to the person’s face when they realized Hyacinthus was looking was far too telling.
“Shall I invite you to a dance?” The stranger asked, sliding behind him. They were taller than Hyacinthus, their shoulders broad yet dwarfed by his own. Familiar black gloves crept like vines up Hyacinthus’s waist, featherlight and not truly grasping but the tease that they could was there. Hyacinthus was thankful that most by now seemed to have lost interest in trying to speak with him, leaving him to focus on what he truly came here for.
Hyacinthus wasn’t sure he cared who saw them at this point.
“The less we are seen the better.” Hyacinthus still said on principle, and he pressed back into the figure, his voice low like the rumble of the tide. “The drawing room in the South Wing I have instructed to be purposefully unoccupied. We rendezvous there.”
“Then consider this adieu,” The stranger breathed against his neck. “Until we soon meet again.”

hya: he’s actually quite quiet during sex; yes he’ll talk dirty and tease and command, but his voice (in general) is more of a deep rumble/growl that’s reserved for whoever he’s speaking with’s ears. when they’re actually getting down to business he does moan but it’s again a deep thing and not something you’d be able to hear through walls. loud enough to light amon’s spine ablaze with desire but you probably wouldn’t hear it unless you were in the room or the walls were very, VERY thin.
amon: loud as fuck and he’s unashamed about it. if it feels good the whole world is going to know; and he knows that hya loves hearing him even if he won’t admit it out loud.
🦺How brazen are they about wearing kink gear in public?
hya: i’d say like a 4/10, however, if you count anything resembling lingerie AS actual lingerie then like an 8. he likes wearing clothing that accentuates his assets and sure that’s definitely tight tops and silk dresses, but it can also be things that show his cleavage or midriff etc. in a modern au it’d be an 8 all the time probably but he’s got a slightly different aesthetic than modern times so like; wouldn’t be against it generally speaking but yknow. fashion comes first for him.

I was thinking about how King will likely outlive all of the current people in his life and needed to give it a different perspective.
Sure it wouldn't be easy but I could see King playing the roll of everyone's Dad/Grandpa/weird Uncle that's just kinda always been around and everyone loves him so, so much. You need life advice? Go talk to King. He's lived multiple lifetimes and often knows just what to do. I think he'd also be very humble sense he's been through his fair share of hardships but has also had the support he needs to navigate them successfully. Sure King does sometimes get a big head but he knows family is important and he loves EVERYONE in his family.
He'd tell stories of previous generations to anyone who would lend an ear. He'd make art of his family and other things that would keep all the people he's loved in everyone's memories and they in turn would do the same of him. I'm also saying King should start keeping a diary of his life, his family, his friends and keep it away from those echo mice lol.
I could also see him "adopting" more people into this family of his. Honestly I just had an epiphany... that thing he does with his toys and things... that's almost the same thing. They all have names and he loves them all. He's definitely going to be a caregiver type when he's older is what I'm saying.
And now that I'm thinking of The Titan, his assumed father, we don't know when that titan died right? Maybe it's not his father at all but a very distant ancestor. Sense there are no other land masses other than the titans bodies we've seen so far there is a very real possibility the titans were the only beings living in this realm in the past and possibly they either created their new little friends with magic or they spontaneously generated from the realms version of magic microbes or whatever over the centuries like life tends to do. This titan fell in love with it's new little inhabitants and carried them with it when it moved. As big as it is, it was likely one of the oldest of them. Then this elder titan, when it's death was near, decided to do one final thing for the creatures it had cared for and become a permanent stable home for them. Laying itself out giving them more space to continue to live and grow.
And I mean like... just imagine a giant, I mean colossal sized, elder King going "weh".

PART THREE (take two) YOU GOT IT PAL
actually writin' this in my notes, so, uh, hopefully i'll remember the way i wrote some of this stuff-
the biggest story on my mind right now is when henry was tryin' ta work late for the third, maybe fourth day in a row. and i wasn't havin' it. that day i had baked breadrolls, so i just waltzed up to him, gave him some, n' just. talked with him. had a chat, yknow? eventually, i convinced him ta go home and get some rest. i'm glad that i could. i also wanna make those breadrolls again some day- they were one of th' only things i could safely make that weren't too shabby, and they were pretty easy fer me. maybe soon.
the next story was when i was helpin' clean the warehouse. clutter, beams, junk, etc... i was just strong enough to help move this stuff. i wasn't entirely helpless, heh. anyways, i was in the middle of movin' a huge metal beam, it's hoisted onto my shoulder, and friggin' bertie is standin' in my way. now. a normal person would say "hey! excuse me, gotta get through!" but not me. cos i didn't like th' guy. so i just. "accidentally" knocked him unconcious with the beam. everyone believed me, sayin' that i "didn't have th' smarts ta pull it off" WELL I DO AND I DID AND IT WAS ON PURPOSE. take THAT. and the warehouse guys didn't help move anythin' it was just me n' lacie
i think i'll save th' repurposed coat closet story for a while, at least 'til i draw what it looked like. it was awesome. i would make that its own seperate post.
although, i'll gladly tell about the writin' department. usually, that place was dead quiet. could hear th' drop of a pin, and then everyone was lookin' at it. but this particular day, everyone was shoutin' and pointin' fingers, all thanks ta friggin connor wheatley. cos he didn't like alice angel. "boo hoo women character waaah waah weh weh weh BLEUGH." he got punched. i let it happen. after that, i slammed my broom handle to th' floor, and everyone went quiet enough for me to go clean. soon as i left, everyone was back at it again, heh.
if you ever were t' hear susie sing, you'd know the recordings NEVER did her voice justice. sounded like a literal angel. any time she was in a recordin' session, i'd try and clean nearby, cos lemme tell ya- she's gotta be the best out there. her voice had me floored every time. never got old. and she could be a wide variety of characters, too! it was really awesome t' see.
and shawn was th' BEST toymaker. i know about the whole "crooked smile" debaucle but honestly? thought that gave 'em more charm. made it so you could tell which ones would last ya for forever versus which ones couldn't. and just,, the craftsmanship behind it all? was awesome. sure, injury here and there, but each one was made skillfully. i loved watchin' shawn do her thing, they were really good at what he did, y'know? gah.
i really wish i had asked norman about how projectors worked. i would've gotten t' listen to it gush 'bout somethin' it loved, and it would've been smilin' the whole time, AND it wouldn't be mad at me? all around win situation! it was really cool. i can't even properly put anythin' into words it was so cool. the best projectionist in the world ever! n' was just a good guy. awhagwhgr
and henry's awesome, too! the way he could jus' whip up a drawing that quickly, and precisely? you could tell he knew what he was doin'. even the stuff he threw away was awesome. any drawings norman didn't steal, i definetly stared at for a while. he was good at advice, too. all-around a swell guy. he probably didn't have a single malicious bone in his body, in all honesty. couldn't insult his friends if he tried. really sweet guy. makes norman happy, and norman makes him happy right back. sweet, aint it?
jack was one of the best lyricists ever, i think. they could just... immediately get the vibes for a song, n' put it into words. it was really cool! again, what is it with people throwin' stuff away that was still REALLY good? all the lyrics they wrote had some swing to 'em, and just matched the feel of the song perfectly. good tempo, good use of phonetics, etc. just awesome. tried not t' disturb jack while they worked, though, so i mostly admired from afar.

(SPOILER FILLED) alrighty, time for some more cohesive thoughts on prime for me (since my last one was written directly after finishing it and now its had time to sit in my brain) (long post btw, i ramble @w@)
overall, i very much enjoyed it! the animation had me positively salivating over the fact that its /actually/ using animation techniques and not just. moving characters from A to B without the time for proper stylization. the overall plot was enjoyable and i am excited to see what the rest of the season will offer.
the fact that it is only one-third of the whole season also makes me a lot more forgiving about certain flaws i found at first, like only showing three worlds and not giving the characters a lot of time to breathe. theres the very high likelihood that such a thing actually will happen, and we might even see more places and worlds, which is an exciting thought! nonetheless, going in i did not know this as i was sleep deprived and had forgotten how many episodes the season has, so i felt a little bit salty, ngl.
Devon Mack does a very good job as sonic, and it makes me feel warm inside hearing his portrayal! every actor does a great job honestly, and it truly feels like they all understand the respective character they voice act(especially considering they have to acclimate the character /and/ voice for each new world. very talented!). the eggman voice actor could use some rerecords at times honestly;; but he does a good enough job that i only notice it sometimes; and he is fun to listen to regardless, and is just a subjective thought of mine.
the different universes also intrigue me! :D i really enjoyed the first one the jungle one was interesting and had beautiful flora models, but it is with this one that a problem of mine arises (but ill get to that later). the waterworld was also interesting, but kind of boring worldwise, since its just. water. (i get that its a pirate world and thats fine! i just cant give a good description of my feelings besides just. water. yknow?)
ive seen that a lot of people think rouge shouldve been the captain in the third world and. honestly. yeah. i think we might get to see why later on? but idk. i hope they have a reason that makes sense as to why she isnt, like if the worlds stick around and dont fuse back, shed be the next captain? weh! (i do love knuckles in a captains outfit though, so bonus points for that!)
now. i only have a few “criticisms”, and although some can be attributed to not being intended for me(and i will therefore not include cus. duh), there is one thing i just cannot let slip by.
(CRITIQUE START) the issue i have is that it feels so empty. new yolk (i refuse the yoke) is populated, but later episodes only really reuse the same five models roughly multiple times and i think had at most like 30? of them at the same time, and obviously could not have had more due to budget and such (which is understandable, but that still doesnt mean i cant point it out).
the jungle episodes! THE JUNGLE EPISODES?? ONLY HAD 5?? CHARACTERS MINUS SONIC (froggy counts) AT ALL TIMES?? and even the flashbacks only show those, probably so as not to imply death but like. come on. not even a few background characters at all? am i meant to believe they will all die out anyway simply by being the last people on this earth? im sorry i just cant get over this. you can make sean mcloughlin, mr jacksepticeye, get a cameo and his own personal character model, BUT CANNOT EVEN FILL A JUNGLE WITH PEOPLE?? did i miss something? if theyd shown even /one/ bg character once in a single frame in the flashbacks, id forgive it but i. cannot. im sorry. im nitpicking but come on! this is like the only issue i have. you only have 11 of the original characters in the first place (sonic. tails. knuckles. amy. rouge. big. froggy. shadow. eggman. orbot. cubot.), and then half of them are pretty much gone most of the time.
i just. its so empty? DO NOT GET ME WRONG I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. I DEEPLY ENJOY THIS SHOW! I LOVE THE CHARACTERS WEVE GOTTEN TO SEE !!! THAT DOES NOT MEAN I CANNOT COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING I HAD TROUBLE PROCESSING. if its gonna be a show about sonic and his friendships. where the fuck are the rest of them? is all we’re gonna get homages to their characters? (jungle knuckles was just sticks. come on now. just put her in shes already canon to the mainline games now) sega, if youre going to make a show about his friendships, why wont you let his friends be there? why can you only license 11 of your characters to the show? please make me eat my words.
and yeah you could say that the reasons others arent there (in-canon, not because of legal issues) is because they werent hit close-up with the prism shatter, but neither was big? he was shown to be down by the hills when it exploded, and i dont know if that counts considering that orbot and cubot arent even in any episode besides the first one, and they werent visible in the blast, i do not know what the blast radius would be to affect anything else. eugh. idk man. this is like the ONE issue i have, and its so small it feels meaningless. yeah yeah the budget the tight grip on characters yadda yadda i get the reasons behind it but it still affects the endgoal and i should be allowed to point it out. (CRITIQUE OVER)
that being said. i am in love with the character designs! especially a big fan of sonics gloves and shoes in the pirate world. i fuck w/ that very much <3
anyway, thats it. show good. binge it if possible! we need netflix to know that we like this. and maybe theyll realize that one episode per week for this show would be perfect (im looking at you episode recaps)

helurf okay so after midterms last week, I’ve been trying to like relax and give myself time to rest but IVE HAD SO MANY ASSIGNMENTS :((( and I’m so tired and burnt out and stressed cause I need to start studying for finals and ahhhhhh alsksjjdjf :(
okay now for some more fun updates!! i had fun at uni yesterday!! we had a super fun soil science lab we got to go into soil pits on the farm our campus has and analyze soil (ph, diagnostic horizons, colour, structure, texture etc) !! It was a lot of fun I’m gonna miss the class and my prof :( (it was my last lab)
another fun thing is its art market week at my uni so time to drop a ton of money on prints, stickers and crocheted animals !!! :D
AND okay so I made it into a special like abroad research kinda program/course in like that’s usually only available to upper years students but somehow I made it in alskkskdjdj . Anyways, we get to go to South Africa from like May 14-June 9 to do research and stuff in the field!!! and like IM SO EXCITED??? So anyways, the 19 students that also made it in (it’s a highly competitive program to get into) we had our second group meet up plus our prof (who taught my favourite class by far last term) yesterday and it was a lot of fun and we got free dinner which was super super yum and I can’t believe I’m actually going ahhhhh
and then I went to a friends house for dinner (yes, dinner again) which was fun we like catch up at least once a month and yeah

AHHHH UR UNI LAB SOUNDED SO FUN I love labs where you just get to go outside and do stuff in nature it’s fr so healing 👼 I took a geology course in college where we got to go to this creek near my school and like test the ph balance of the water and it was so much fun being outside instead of cooped up in the lecture hall fr one of the best labs we ever did. AND the art market this week???? RAHHH HAVE SO MUCH FUN we used to have something similar at my uni and I would drop SO much on stickers not even joking my laptop is covered in them still :’)
ALSO OH MY GOD??? TO THE STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM?????? My day was honestly vvvvv boring but it was productive! I had work and then I had a shit ton of laundry to do but I was tired as fuck and I have cramps bc my period started today so I got coffee first to wake me up and then after cleaning the apartment I caught up on Ateez vlogs and now I’m simultaneously writing and watching Zelda gameplay 👼 I think my emotions are like ten times worse rn because of my period so I’m just taking it easy but I have a huge party to go to this weekend and a lot of my friends are gonna be there so I need to get my shit together and stop being sad bc I don’t want to bring the mood down ☹️ why do I always have a party in the same week I feel like shit LOL the last time I had one my situationship and I got into a huge fight and my sister had to be checking on me like every 5 minutes bc I was borderline crying the whole night it was so embarrassing 😭 (I am so tired of crying over this same girl oh my god)

Do You Ever Get a Little Bit Tired of Life?

King couldn’t sleep.
That was the first thing that caught the Collector’s eye as they glanced around the space Luz and the others shared with their new CATT allies. Everyone else was sound asleep, but King was shuffling and muttering and couldn’t seem to keep his eyes closed for more than a minute.
An opportunity.
“King?” the Collector prodded, keeping their voice hushed. The young Titan didn’t stir. The Collector tried a different tactic, briefly waving a hand in front of his face.
That did it. King jerked back with a startled “weh?” his eyes wide and alert until they finally landed on the Collector.
“Oh.” King blinked. “Um. Hi?” He eyed the Collector’s floating silhouette with a mild, wary curiosity.
“Hey,” the Collector replied. “There’s… something I wanna say.”
King stared at him blankly as they spoke. “I, uh. Can’t actually hear you.”
Ah. Well. That’s gonna be an obstacle, the Collector mused. After a moment of thinking, an idea struck him. With a flick of his hand, he conjured words next to him, reading “How’s this?”
King gave a tiny nod of affirmation.
Now came the hard part. The Collector fidgeted for a moment, trying to puzzle out how they could put what they wanted to convey into words. Finally they wrote out, “I just wanted to apologize for…” a pause, “…what they tried to do.”
King stared at the words, looking briefly perplexed, then his face lit up in realization. “Oh. Oh. That…” He scratched the back of his skull, as if not sure how to respond. “Um. Thanks?”
The Collector gave a sheepish nod of acknowledgment.
A long silence stretched out between the two young deities, until King finally broke it. “I’m curious, did you… know any Titans?” A tentative hope noticeable in his voice, he added, “Maybe- did you know my dad?”
The Collector winced. That was a story he’d rather not get into, especially with so much hanging in the balance. He simply spelled out, “You could say that. He and I had a little…” brief moment of fidgeting, “disagreement.”
“Ah.” King subsided, looking a bit like he regretted asking the latter part of the question.
A sudden, curious thought prodded the Collector. “Wait. Are you asking these questions about Titans because you just found out you’re one?”
That seemed to strike a chord. King fidgeted, eyeing the floor. “Yeah,” he admitted, his voice a little smaller, a little more… lost. “It still feels a bit… weird, honestly. I’m this- important, godlike creature, and I just- really don’t know if that’s gonna be a good thing or not. People are already starting to treat me differently, like I’m on a different level - because I am. I’ve been hunted down like I’m some big, scary monster that needs to be ‘dealt with’. What if- what’ll I do if people I care about start to fear me? Or what if everyone starts looking to me for all the answers, even if I don’t have them at all?” King shivered slightly, curling into himself. “I don’t want any of that. I just… I just wanna be with my family.”
This sudden outpouring was followed by a long, uneasy silence, and the Collector could feel its weight. What was there to say to something like that? And yet, unexpectedly, they also felt a pang of kinship towards the young Titan. Turning to look over at Luz, and the crimson thread that tethered them to their human friend, something in King’s final statement resonated with something else, deep inside the star child.
Slowly, gently, the Collector lowered his shadowy form until he was sitting beside King. Just underneath the other’s line of sight, he reached over and spelled out in smaller words: “I know what you mean.”
King raised his head, regarding the Collector with surprise. “You do?” He got a nod in response.
The Collector didn’t elaborate further, and King did not ask them to. Instead, he curled back up on the wooden floor and closed his eyes. There seemed to be a subtle air of peace that wasn’t there before, and the Collector got the feeling that sleep would come easier for the young Titan now.

Everyone talks about weh weh all stars derailed my faves and yeah it did but if you’re gonna say that go all the way because it wasn’t just duncan gwen courtney etc like the second gen got hit ROUGH too. Zoey’s whole arc in season four was learning to be self-sufficient and stand up for herself even if it made her look bad, it was about learning to be confident and not fearing her peers’ judgment anymore. All stars, she’s a total people pleaser again and her whole store revolves around Mike, when Mike’s departure last season was what sent her into a character arc. Cameron, in a similar vein, learned to take pride in his own abilities, and use his kindness and intelligence to make a name for himself instead of cowering in the face of scrutiny for the skills he didn’t have. Now he’s a bumbling wreck again who can’t make simple observations for the life of him and never stands up for himself despite winning and earning so much good will for it, including from Scott and Jo and Lightning. Speaking of, Scott, Jo, and Lightning are…so weak in this season? I’ve heard a lot about Scott being nicer now because he figured Fang’s attack was Karma for his wrongdoings on Revenge, but even though I love the idea of that was the case it should’ve been established on the show. And with Jo and Lightning I feel like this is also Revenge’s finale’s fault but you think they’d change, after everything. Jo might’ve learned to be more respectful after Cameron not only bested her but still gave her part of his prize. Maybe Lighting would learn that winning means nothing and he will not be less of a man whether he lost or won the finale because the people who care for him are already here and making it that far is accomplishment enough and he will lose all the connections he has if he keeps pushing people away as if they’re obstacles also his dad is kinda ass. The only character who I’d argue not only holds continuity with his previous appearances AND gets better is Sam who I honestly loved watching become both more confident even without Dakota to help him, as well as do his best to contribute to his team both out of kindness and an attempt to make up for last season. He’s still sweet but has more drive directly inspired by Revenge. I’d complain more about Mike but honestly? He didn’t really even feel like a character that season. Besides his limited screen time, every appearance we do get from him is just him being like “oh no! My disorder is a burden again! Noooo Zoey!” Like yeah Mike and Zoey meant a lot to each other in S4 but they were still standalone characters. If Zoey weren’t here Mike would not have done anything in this season, it would’ve been total apathy. He’s just lost his edge. And I get it I guess, writers needed to make room for the focus on Mal who is also not very well written but I still love him and think they have so so much potential which should be obvious by now…but would it have been hard? To make them act a little less like card-board cutouts? Maybe have the S4-ers talk to each other outside of their teams? I like All Stars just for how absurd and fanfic-y it is, some of the episodes are even good as actual crossover episodes (I love No One Eggspects the Spanish Inquisition), but man. You could at least give a reason for the sudden character changes or even reversions if you wanna write them this way. Ok sorry lame rant over it’s just, Gen 2 deserves way better too they were ALL out of character and honestly at least characters like Duncan had changes that were interesting
