Hey there! I saw your illustration of OFMD Discomfort in a Married State and 1- it fucks, it's gorgeous and Iove it. But also 2- I wanted to ask, have you heard of Brazilian xilogravuras? They're an art style from Brazil's northeast, your art reminded me of it a lot. Was it an inspiration or just a coincidence? Either way, I think you'll like it!

2- I had not heard of it, but looked it up and it translated to woodcuts! A medium (along with linocut printmaking) I am very much inspired by.

I spent my last two years at university making linocut print illustrations so I am working to bring that grittiness into my digital work - as I don’t have the tools/means to print currently.

(I’ve never been sent an ask before on tumblr so my apologies if there was a way to respond to this privately & you’d have preferred that!)
