Xu Minghao / The8 x Male Reader
"Dino nugu aegi?" Could be heard in the background of the camera, where Y/N and his boyfriend were waving to the camera.
The couple had recently revealed themselves to the public, the fans taking it extremely well. Sure, there were a few antis, but majority accepted them wholeheartedly.
"Hyungie, do you like the museum?" Y/N asked. Minghao nodded enthusiastically. The Japanese male laughed, slinging his arm over Minghao's shoulder. Nakamoto Y/N, younger brother of NCT Yuta and maknae of Seventeen. Even if he was just a month younger than Dino.
"Eughh they're being mushy again." Dino groaned. "Save it for later."
"He's just sulky because he's single." Minghao snickered, planting a kiss on Y/N's cheek. "Don't mind him, Carat."
Over in the background, Seungkwan and Hoshi were trying to strangle each other. But the fans attention was on Y/N. The livestream comments flooded the chat, making Y/N blink.
"Slow down, I can't read all your comments." He mumbled.
'Y/NHao ftw!'
'Theyre so cute'
'Kiyoooooowoooo!'
"Ugh." Y/N and Minghao heard Dino sigh again.
"Yah Dino, be quiet. I'm allowed to love my boyfriend." Minghao said, wrapping his arms around Y/N's torso. "If you don't like it find a partner. Then you'll understand."
Y/N and Minghao continued to be mushy, to the disgust of the other 12. They walked around with their hands intertwined, whispering to each other.
Jun stole the camera.
"Hey guys, while they're being a couple, I'll take you on a tour of the museum."
'Jun to save the day!'
'Wen Junhuiiiii'
"Oh look." Jun smiled sarcastically. "It's our lovely couple. Oh, and little baby Y/N is sleeping! How cute!"
"Shh." Minghao said. "Don't wake him up. He had a long day yesterday and couldn't sleep."
'Aww, rest well Y/N Oppa'
'He looks so tired...'
'Hate to break it to you, but this is our favourite couple.'

Tumblr media
you were,,, a brat. sort of.
no, not sort of, you were actually just a jerk. and severely spoiled.
highschool life was hard, and college life proved itself to be even harder, especially now that you attended one of the highest reputable universities in the nation. you were up to your neck in classes, and while you performed decently in most of them, math was a travesty. being the freshman that you were, your parents had big expectations and high hopes that you would follow in the oh-so-successful footsteps of your older brother, junhui, who was in his senior year.
jun was a prodigy - a so called “genius” by your parents who would sing his praises constantly for his ability to excel in every academic subject he touched. naturally, due to his success in school, your parents expected the same of you. every brunch and social that was held in your family’s country club would somehow end up in your mother preaching about how ‘her two beautiful sons were going to become the best doctors the community as ever seen’ - and when your skills clearly weren’t up to par with your older brother’s, it caused you to grow resentful to both him and your parents, the feeling being quite reciprocated.
you became frustrated that no matter the amount of shopping sprees or days off you took, you couldn’t seem to settle down and wrap your head around statistics. instead of remaining level-headed and talking out your struggles with your family, your pride forced you to swallow it all up and only express yourself through tantrums... much like what you were doing right now.
“AND IF YOUR GPA DROPS EVEN A SMIDGE LOWER, WE’RE NOT PAYING FOR YOU TO ATTEND SCHOOL ANY LONGER!” your mother shouted as you stomped your way up your home’s marble staircase, attempting to dismiss yourself from yet another argument.
“YOU WOULDN’T DARE! your little reputation couldn’t handle the embarrassment when all your friends find out.” you spat.
“that’s damn right! you’re getting your education one way or another, so its best you get ready for community college then.” your father joined in at your mother’s side.
you froze in place, hand lingering on your door knob. community college?! you almost threw up in your mouth. you let out an exasperated yell, slamming your door. the echo of the force travelled down the hall to jun’s room. out of curiosity, he steps out from behind his own door and sees your parents huffing away back to their own chambers. he cocks an eyebrow and walks down to your room, knocking gently.
“y/n? what was that all ab-” he speaks lowly, but you cut him off, your voice still very much shouting.
“go the hell away!”
“well damn, dude, I just wanted to ask what was wrong.” he quips.
“thanks for you concern, asshole, but I don’t remember it being your business.” you call back, sinking your head deeper into your pillow as you scroll angrily through your phone.
junhui sighs and goes downstairs to calm your obviously seething parents, aiming to talk them down from making any rash decisions for you. despite your attitude, jun was a pretty sweet older brother, and knew you just needed a bit of help rather than be withdrawn from university all together.
it’s not like you cared though.
⊱────────────────────────⊰
one week later, you heard another knock at your door.
making sure to groan in extra loud annoyance so that whoever was on the other side knew they were already pissing you off, you sat up in bed. you heard the knock again, this time followed by your mom’s voice.
“y/n, come down stairs. now.” was all she stated before walking away.
what could she possibly want at 1:00 in the afternoon? you grumbled, throwing on a hoodie before literally rolling out of your king sized mattress. you shuffled your feet along the floor as you walked down stairs.
as soon as you reached the common area, your eyes slightly widened as you were greeted with the sight of a tall, tan skinned boy with round glasses sitting on the edge of his nose. he set a large assortment of textbooks down at the table next to him as he conversed with your parents. you simply stopped in your tracks as you stared at the.... admittedly beautiful, man.
his hair practically shined in the natural lighting, and his shoulders were broad. his lips were plump and the perfect shade of pink, and you couldn’t tear your eyes away from his sharp jawline or the way it would flex when he smiled or how his adams apple teasingly bounced when he chuckled at something your parent’s said.
it seems you were caught in the middle of your trance, as your dad waved his hand from where he was standing.
“y/n?”
you blinked a couple times as you snapped out of it, realizing you were biting your lips. you slightly blushed when you noticed all of their eyes were focused on you, especially this new stranger’s shining orbs.
“who’s this?” you speak up, adding slight attitude in your voice to cover up your obvious gawking.
“this is minghao, a friend of your brother’s. he’ll be your new tutor until you pick your grades up.” your mom replies, and the boy slightly bows his head while he smiled down at you.
“T-TUTOR?” you gasp, a bit over-dramatically. “what the hell do I need a tutor for? i’m not in elementary school.” you claim, stomping your foot down.
“well until you stop getting these third grader scores on your tests, this is what we’re doing. you start today, and you don’t have a say in the matter.” your mom chimes in, never dropping her snarky smile.
“today!? it’s saturday-”
“anyways,” your mother continues, interrupting you. “we’re going out for the day, but jun will be back soon. we told him you should be well into your lesson by the time he’s here, alright?”
“yes, maam.” minghao chimed enthusiastically, giving her a thumbs up.
you rolled your eyes and groaned once more, huffing out a sigh when you at the at large table with all of the textbooks. when your parents left, minghao took a seat across from you, sitting as if he were waiting for you to say something first.
“you have a beautiful home..” he finally spoke, looking around and spotting the chandelier above the staircase.
“yea yea, that’s what they all say. you can just get on with the bullshit, i guess. it’s not like i’m gonna pay any attention.” you respond in a bored tone, propping your head up against your hands.
minghao furrowed his brows at you as you tried to avoid his eyes, but you couldn’t stop yourself from awkwardly peeking. the older male sighs and spreads out the textbooks before mumbling something about getting started, opening the first book. it read statistics - an instant turn off for you.
30 minutes into the first lesson and minghao peered at you, catching you on your phone for the umpteenth time. he sighed, setting his calculator down.
“listen, I know you don’t wanna go through this, but your parents are trusting me to make sure you don’t fail another class. I sit next to your brother in a lot of our classes and he’s practically a genius, so I know you have it in you too.”
you rolled your eyes yet again, narrowing your gaze at minghao. his eyes sort of sparkled, looking a little too cute as he pleaded for you to cooperate, but this only stirred you to piss him off more. you smirked as you ignored him, bringing your phone back up to your face.
this caused minghao to scoff in disbelief.
“y/n, look at me.” he spoke, causing your grin to grow wider as you ignored him.
however, he opened his mouth again and this time your smile dropped completely.
“look at me, now.”
the tone in his voice was completely different - much lower than previously and demanding. you looked up from your phone and chills ran wild across your skin from the glare you caught from him. his eyes lost their sparkle, and instead looked like a deep, dark brown abyss.
“put your phone down.”
you could’ve swore a spell was cast on you, because you dropped your phone on the table just a little too fast for your own liking. this caused a shit-eating grin to grow on minghao’s face, one that lit your skin on fire.
he stood from his seat, leaning across the table closer and closer to you. he stopped a couple inches from your face, and his vanilla cologne surged through your senses.
“that’s a good boy... why are you listening so easily now?” he asked as he picked up your phone, putting it in his pocket without moving his face any farther from yours.
you gulped, trying to get back in your groove. you furrowed your brows at him, scooting back on your own accord.
“s-shut up. I’m just finally ready to get this lesson over with so you can get out of my house.” you sneered. but he wasn’t buying it, not one bit.
he sat back into his chair, eyes never leaving you. the truth was that he caught how in between your attempts to ignore him, he followed how your eyes lingers on his long, beautiful fingers when he would turn the page or type in the calculator. minghao was very observant, and it was biting you in the ass.
“come over here and sit by me.” he ordered, patting the empty chair next to him.
“no... and give me my phone back!” you retorted.
“you need a closer look at the reading. the sooner you just listen the sooner you can tweet all you want.”
you sat in contemplation for a while, before groaning and getting up. you made your way hesitantly around the table before placing yourself in the seat beside minghao. you were growing annoyed of yourself - why were you caving for his demands so easily?
he sat and stared at you for a while, a smirk evident on his annoyingly handsome face. you parted your lips to ask him what was his deal, but before you could utter a sound he reached out and grabbed one of your chair legs, scooting you closer until your shoulders were merely centimeters apart. he then leaned down to your ear, speaking lowly despite you two being the only ones in the house.
“i know your problem... you’ve just never had anyone simply take control, have you?”
you felt your face turn red, and you instantly scooted back from him.
“wh- what the hell are you talking about?!” you ask, sounding almost offended.
minghao did nothing but chuckle and drag you right back into his space before casually turning back to the textbooks. he resumed the tutoring session as if nothing happened, meanwhile you tried to stabilize your breathing. you had no idea what this dude’s problem was, but he somehow had an excitement bubbling deep down within you.
an hour goes by, and like magic you’re suddenly more intrigued in the lesson. it was like he had you under hypnosis with his cologne, because you slowly followed along when he spoke and were understanding more of the material.
then, he began to quiz you. he asked you to solve a formula for him, and when you actually managed to identify x correctly, he brought one of his large hands down to rest at an exposed part of your thigh - thanks to your small gym shorts. your breath hitched when he squeezed it gently, offering you praise.
“nice job. now look at this graph and....”
his voice trailed off in your mind as you couldn’t get your eyes to leave his warm hand at your thigh. it felt so soft, and encased your leg so effortlessly. his thumb rubbed the smallest and softest circles into your thigh as he spoke, but stopped when you heard your name called once more.
“y/n? did you hear me?” he spoke, pretending as if he hadn’t caught you lingering on his hand.
“o-oh, yeah, whatever. it’s right here.” you answer, pointing to a spot on a complicated looking chart. you were fully guessing, but didn’t want him to know you were distracted.
“wrong.”
this time, he squeezed your thigh with stronger force, causing you to gasp.
“the hell are you doing!” you call out, scooting back out of your chair.
minghao was fast, though, because before you could actually move away he caught your wrist, pulling you in and quickly situating you on his lap. you squirmed, but didn’t exactly try to leave as he brought both hands to massage both sides of your thighs this time.
“you were doing so good, what’s wrong?” he whispered from behind you, his warm breath against the nape of your neck causing visible goosebumps to rise.
you gripped the table infront of you for stability, trying your best to keep a whine from leaving your throat.
“I-.....I.... uhm, I-” you stuttered. you were desperately trying to find a witty comment to spit out, but it was like you completely lost your mojo, how frustrating.
“next question,” he spoke, lightly nipping your earlobe with his teeth.
you flinched, and genuinely couldn’t speak. his scent and ministrations into your soft thighs were completely overriding your ability to focus. he pulled the hems of your shorts back so that he could massage higher up on your thighs, the sensation causing everything he was saying to fade into the background of your mind as it started hazing over.
“know the answer this time?” you heard him ask, and nervousness overcame you when you realized you hadn’t heard a single thing he’s said.
you began mumbling, eyes trying to make sense of the worksheets in front of you. you feel his hand reach around your front before landing on your clothed bulge, which, much to your embarrassment, had already grown into a hard erection.
minghao chuckled loudly, “no wonder you can’t concentrate, you’re all worked up. aw.”
he gave your member one good quick squeeze, the stimulation causing you to yelp in shock. your hand shot down to grip on to his wrist, your breathing becoming labored. you tried to look over your shoulder at him, but his free hand came up to cup your jaw, forcing your head back to the textbook. you suddenly felt his own hard-on straining in his pants, pushing into your lower back.
“minghao, i-”
“i hope you get this next one right... or we can pack it up and call it a day?” he spoke, his voice holding a teasing tone.
“n-no! no, i can answer it.” you responded, sounding way too desperate.
he bit his lower lip in a smirk, and went on to explain the next formula and percentages normally, as if you weren’t propped on his lap. when it was your turn to answer, you felt utterly clueless. you struggled enough to even pay attention to each word that fell off his tongue in the first place
“answer me, bitch.” he warned, his grip on your cock from the outside of your shorts slowly tightening again.
“n-n-nintey two! the percentage of x is 92″ you fumbled out, squeezing your eyes shut as it was practically guess work.
“...excellent job.”
you let out a sigh of relief, loosening your tight hold on your calculator. you felt the exact plump lips you had admired this past hour and a half begin placing light, feathery kisses down the back and sides of your neck, minghao releasing his hold on your member. you whined at the loss of feeling, but your breath hitched as you felt him beginning to pull at your short’s drawstrings. you sat completely still while his lips worked into a soft spot on your neck, and he untied your drawstrings at an agonizingly slow pace.
you forced yourself to maintain your breathing when he finally loosened them, slowly reaching into your pants without a word. he began palming your bare length as he kissed harder into your weak spot, sucking a red mark into your throat. you moaned, wondering how you even found yourself in this situation, yet not wanting it to stop.
“maybe you’re not a dumbass after all, just a little slut.” he murmured into your skin. his words made your skin feel even hotter, but it still sprung your attitude right back into action.
“I probably would’ve gotten them right sooner if I had a tutor who wasn’t a horny asshole.” you respond, leaning your head back on to his shoulder as his hands work you.
however, he stopped all his movements, groaning as his teeth sunk into your soft spot. you whimpered at the jolt, almost regretting your comment as you bucked your hips into his frozen hand desperate for more of the pleasure.
“is that so? let’s keep going then.”
he brought his hand away from your erection and gripped your jaw again, forcing your head up and at the math problems before you.
minghao went on to read out the graph to you, but this time brought his tongue down to your collarbone, drawing circles into your sensitive skin in between his sentences. you squirmed under him but he gripped your hips still, making it impossible for you to seek any kind of pleasure on his lap.
you took deep breaths in between his pauses as he took his time ravaging your exposed skin, moving your hoodie aside so he could claim more territory with colorful marks. you dug your fingers into his legs, begging him to get on with it. he chuckled quietly before licking his way back up to your ear before finishing the word problem.
“so? whats the solution, little boy?” he asked, his hand finding its way back into your pants. he stroked along your length as you gathered up the willpower to speak, the pleasure becoming too much to function.
your mind raced, hopelessly looking for clues to the answer. you tried to focus, but as the long silence dragged on you felt yourself inching closer to your orgasm, finding it impossible to keep your eyes racked on the calculator. when you couldn’t handle it anymore, you summoned an answer out of thin air hoping it was correct so that minghao could just finish you off, you were so close.
“t-...the solution would be to plug the integers into the denominal fraction!” you sputtered, minghao’s hand speeding up its stroking.
just as you gave your answer, your felt minghao’s face draw next to your ear, and keys jingling at your front door - your older brother jun stepping in.
“incorrect.”
and he ceased his actions, pushing you off his lap.
⊱────────────────────────⊰
ever since then, you were obsessed with your tutor. you’re not sure if it was the thrill of almost being caught by junhui, or the frustration of having your release so cruelly denied by minghao, but each week it seemed like you would get worse at math intentionally.
the brattier you were to minghao, the more dominant he was with you - and it was intoxicating. it was a constant back & forth in the secrets of your own studying whenever it was just you two in the house, although you found it pretty hard to control yourself that one time in which junhui was still upstairs.
this week, the house was empty and the textbooks hadn’t even been opened yet before you were straddling minghao’s lap and making out. he barely had time to set his bag down and take a seat before your lips were quick to take action, devouring each other. his hot open mouthed kisses caused your mind to gloss over, moaning wantonly when his tongue pressed against yours.
when you ground your hips down on his semi-hard bulge, his hands wrapped around your waist to keep you still. you whined at him, trying to chase the friction.
“we need to start our lesson for the day.” minghao sighed. “your results last week were good, but we have a lot of work to do.”
“nooo,” you fussed at him, squeezing his shoulders. “i don’t care about the math anymore, let’s take a week off.”
you continued to aggressively kiss him before he could protest. however, minghao soon peeled his lips away from yours, the satisfying sound ringing in your ears.
“no breaks. you need to behave, y/n.” he warned, which only made you giggle before diving back into his plush lips.
god, he tasted amazing. your lips worked eagerly against his before you felt a hard smack on your ass. you jumped, whimpering at the sting his large hand caused you. you looked minghao in the eyes with an angry pout, and that only landed you another spank on your other cheek.
minghao shifted you around his lap until your back was pressed against the wooden table. he brought a hand up to wrap around your throat, forcing you keep eye contact with him.
“are you ready to be a good student now?”
you shook your head, growing aggravated. you had studied so much and now all you could think of was your brothers sexy best friend whom you willfully let control you each week. you needed him, badly. and he knew it.
minghaos hand never left your throat, and you watched his eyes study you, contemplating what he should do next. eventually, he released a slight hum, an idea seemingly coming to him like a light bulb.
“alright, fine.” he finally spoke aloud, pushing the textbooks off of the table in one swoop. he then stood, holding your underarms to lift you from his lap on to the table.
“if you can pass a pop quiz, we don’t have to study today.”
you eagerly nodded your head in compliance, cooperating as he pressed a hand to your chest and lowered you until you were flat-backed on your table. he began stripping you of your pants and boxers, leaving your bottom half exposed to the cold air. you licked your lips when you watched him start to remove his belt, but felt your excitement grow dim when he stopped after only undoing a few buttons.
he crawled on to the table, one hand resting next to your head as he hovered over you. the other came and started palming your exposed cock, allowing it to grow hard. when your eyes wandered down to watch his ministrations, he called your name sharply, shifting your attention back to him.
“you get 5 chances.” he told you, and you nodded.
damnit, those were the hardest questions of your life.
you had managed to get three wrong right off the bat, and minghao sinisterly chuckled at you each time you whimpered at him grinding his clothed hips to your needy and exposed bottom half.
“you dumb bitch... only two chances left.” he taunted, wiggling his two fingers infront of your face. he then took his two digits and prodded them at your lips.
you sighed when you took his elegant fingers into your mouth, swirling your tongue around them like a melting popsicle. your eyes rolled back from the satisfaction. he withdrew his long fingers from your mouth earlier than you liked, and began sucking on them himself. your face grew beat red at his actions, but you felt your cock twitch at the sight. he then reached down and lifted your legs around his hips, teasing his coated fingers at your entrance. a moan of desperation escaped you.
“tell me about the theory of probability if you can, little whore.” he demanded, circling one of his fingers around your bottom.
the teasing and degradation almost made you moan, but you forced yourself to stay composed, as you were finally confident in an answer. you stilled your breathing and delivered the definition without breaking eye contact. he smiled at you.
“good job, baby boy.” he replied, his demeanor instantly softer as he placed a kiss on your nose.
and without another word, he slowly sunk one of his coated fingers into your entrance. a loud moan drew from your throat, and you could’ve came from just that pleasure after being teased so much. but, even your bratty demeanor was scared to go against minghao’s wishes.
he asked you another question, and you almost exploded in joy when you also knew that one, earning you another finger. the stretch wasn’t painful but it was doing its job, causing you to feel full from his hands alone.
“last one, baby. what happens when N is even in the variance formula?”
you, being on the verge of your high once more, grabbed the back of his neck and brought his ear down to your lips, whispering the answer to him before licking the shell. he groaned, a smirk growing wide on his lips.
“shit, prince, you’re a genius.”
the tall male instantly removed his fingers from inside you, and shimmied off his own pants. your head was spinning when he plunged his erect member into you, instantly grinding with exact precision.
you couldn’t stop the moans from falling past your lips, and only grew louder when he leaned down to suck sulaciously on your adam’s apple.
“I hope junhui comes home early to see his little bitch of a brother being such a good boy, such a smart boy....” he purred into your ear in between littering hickeys on your neck and chest while rutting into you.
the pleasure was sending you to cloud nine, to the point that you didn’t even care about the probability of someone actually coming home early and catching you. all you knew was that tutoring was probably the best investment your parents have ever made.

Heaven’s cloud ☁︎.𖥔 ݁ ˖
Xu Minghao x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Xu Minghao is not one to say I love you often. He’s never felt it necessary to verbally express how he was feeling—he’d much rather show it with his actions. Whether it was tying your shoes for you—or sharing a sip of his beverage before you could ask—or simply snaking his arm around you. Around your waist—around your shoulders—no matter what, Minghao always found himself linked to you.
“Hao.” He loves the way the nickname sounds rolling off your tongue. Loves the way your hand finds its way to the left side of his jacket to pull him in closer. “What if people see us?”
“(Y/n). I’m wearing a hat, thick glasses and a mask. What are they going to recognize? The lower half of my ears?” You want to laugh with him, to feel as carefree as he sounds as he pulls you in by your belt loops. You can see his eyes glint behind his glasses, a fondness that only appeared when he was looking at you. “Besides, we’re in the same group. If anything, we can just say we were hanging out you know? As bros.” Even with the mask covering the lower half of his face you can hear his smile—the laugh that doesn’t quite escape his mouth to not catch anyone’s attention.
“And do bros loop their fingers through their other bros belt loops or am I the exception?” Minghao pulls himself away from you—the draft of cold air hitting you almost instantly—winking as he walks to the other side of the art exhibit.
The room is full of priceless art pieces. Some you could spend hours gazing at—wondering what meaning they had hidden under all the brush strokes. But none of them came close to Minghao.
Not when he stood in front of the blandest painting in the room, baggy jeans threatening to hit the floor if it weren’t for his platform shoes. He’s examining it, letting his eyes seize it up and down and side to side. Anything to keep his attention on the painting instead of turning his gaze towards you. You can’t help but take a picture, letting a warm smile take over when you finally make your way over to him.
“It’s a nice painting.” You see his shoulders jump up in surprise, not expecting you to be this close but he stands even straighter, offering nothing more but a hum of recognition. “However, you’re much nicer to look at.”
“That was bad even for you.” Hao still refuses to face you, his eyes never leaving the painting. You stand next to him, finally directing your full attention to it, trying to see what lured him to this specific piece.
It’s nothing special. A simple ombré effect that starts with orange at the top, a lemon yellow in the middle, and finally a blue at the bottom. You can see why he’s examining it—the blending is seamless—not a single stray brushstroke in sight. And while it may be plain at first glance, the brush work is unmatched. If it weren’t for the signature at the bottom you would’ve never guessed this was hand painted.
It’s a nice sight—the two of you standing next to each other—enough for your arm to brush against his but not enough to where it could look suspicious. You have a feeling you’ll see pictures taken from a distance of both of you but for now you bask in the moment. Choosing to lean your head on Minghao’s shoulder, breaking his cold streak. He wastes no time in wrapping his arm around your waist, bringing you in closer. Hints of his cologne seep through your mask, the familiar scent weakening your legs.
He turns his head towards you, pulling his mask down under his bottom lip, making sure to press as close as he could to your ear, “Wanna get out of here?”
Although his wording was suggestive, the two of you ended up walking next to a nearby shoreline. Kicking the sand you cross as you watch the water creep up on the two of you slowly. Minghao keeps your hand in his, bringing it to sit in his pocket intertwined with his own. It’s sweet. It keeps you warm in this cool breeze. Never too hot and never too cold.
You see the same colors in the sky as you did in the painting. The blueness of the sky being taken over by a blend of orange and yellow with a hint of pink. And while it’s not as seamless as it was on the canvas, it manages to take your breath away. And suddenly you’re standing next to Minghao like you were in the museum. Watching the sky diligently in silence with him. He looks so peaceful from the corner of your eyes—lost in thought as he gazes towards the horizon—he’s never looked more beautiful. You pull your phone out again with your free hand, taking a few steps back to capture the moment. He knows what you’re doing—the awkward shuffling of your feet on the sand without letting go of his hand humoring him.
“(Y/n).”
“Shh, you’re going to ruin the picture.” But you both know you really don’t mind—not when the image of him is forever ingrained into your mind. Always there even when you close your eyes. But it’s nice—the first few pictures you take of him are tame. He offers a big grin with his mask pulled down to his chin—until he finally reaches over to cover your camera as you continue to take pictures. The last few are completely black. They’ll make for a nice post one day.

Minghao teaches you how to paint :D
Contains: Male reader, Xu Minghao, Kissing/Making out, Pet names.
Genre: Fluff
~Not requested~
Really short, sorry for that :( I'll try to make some longer ones in the future.
===============
You groaned out of frustration once again as you slowly started to lose hope on you actually being at least an average painter. You and Minghao have been in your shared apartment in his artroom for an hour or so. He had set up a vase of sunflowers on a table and an easel with a painting surface for you to paint on. He had done it before, and this will definitely not be the last time he'll do it. You have been talking about your desire to learn how to paint, but whenever you try to do it, you feel like you can't get anything done.
Everything seems to fail and you feel like you can't do anything right, but atleast Minghao is there to support you.
"Just remember that it's art. It can't go wrong, and you can't mess it up. The way the painting looks is the painters thing to decide. There isn't a right way to do art." He explains, while holding your waist and kissing your neck every now and then.
"It doesn't look right to me" You answered and squinted your eyes a bit, thinking that why it doesn't look as good as you imagined.
Over the past few years you and Minghao have been painting together, you have gotten pretty good, but it still feels like you should do something else. Painting isn't for everyone, but Minghao insists that you at least try before quitting.
You added a little more detail on the flowers and you then decided that you were done. "This has to be the best thing i've ever done." You said while smiling to yourself. "It looks great. My baby boy has learned so much" Minghao said slyly and kissed the side of your neck once again.
"I think you deserve a reward for being such a good student. Having the motivation to listen as i teach you." He smirked and you already knew what was coming.
He spun you around so that you were facing him. Minghao snaked his big hands around your waist once again, pulling you closer to him as he strated kissing you agressively. You were already out of breath, even when he just got started. He bit your lower lip gently so you opened your mouth just enough for him to shove his tongue down your throat. You have your hands pressed against his chest and you were grabbing his shirt, trying to pull him even closer even tho that wasn't even possible probably.
You let him explore your mouth with his tongue and that's exactly what he did. He swirled his tongue around your wet cavern for a good 3 minutes until you needed to pull away to properly get some air. As you pulled away from his lips, a string of saliva connected the two of you. He gave you two more kisses before letting you breath completely. You looked into beautiful eyes while breathing heavily and he let out a long sigh. "You are such a pretty boy. I'm glad that i have someone like you" Minghao said.
and you soon felt a small smile growing at the corner of your lips, and you couldn't help but to let it expand into a big, bright smile. He smirks at you and gives you one last kiss on your lips before pulling you into a tight hug.
After a pretty long and oddly comfortable silence, you decide to finally speak up. "I'm hungry" You say in a whisper and he lets out a soft little chuckle. "Was painting too tiring for you, baby?" He asked while smiling. He felt you punch his chest a little and he let out another chuckle. "I can cook you something if you want to" "That would be nice." You replied as you relaxed into his embrace.

Nothing filled the living room of Minghao and Y/N’s apartment but the ivory pool of afternoon sunlight rippling across their coffee table, and the delicate breath of Minghao’s book pages whenever they were turned over. For the first time in a while that Minghao wished was longer, Minghao was alone on the couch. The dark green fabric of its cushions taken in under his weight and his weight only, not that of him and Y/N whenever he’d be taken into Y/N’s arms, swept up in an embrace that would leave them both asleep by the time Minghao would be halfway through counting the shimmers in Y/N’s eyes.
Minghao felt again the emptiness in the space below and beside or around him, all the places Y/N would be to hold him and press his lips to Minghao’s neck and have his breath trickle down Minghao’s spine as he’d always complain about Y/N breaking his focus on whatever he’d be reading. However, Y/N always knew that Minghao could never focus on anything else but the way Y/N traced his waistline with his hands the moment they found each other within arm’s reach.
When Minghao brought Y/N closer with a pouty whine he’d never let leave the house, and wrap Y/N’s arms around his shoulders himself before Y/N would do the rest and take Minghao down in the closest soft surface; that’s when Minghao knew it was all over, and that he had no choice but to surrender to the light that shone under their touches, burned bright between their chests.
A certain clack of their unlocked front door, and the creak of its hinges brought Minghao right out of his trance-like state that the words in his book transported him to. No realm outside of Y/N’s arms was ever strong enough to keep him for long - Y/N was always the next thing on his mind.
“Honey~ I’m home.” A tired, weathered chant came from the front corridor, and Minghao smiled as its melody practically filled up the entire room, everywhere the afternoon sunlight had yet to touch. Looking over the back of the couch, Minghao shone a bright grin when Y/N rounded the corner. He was clad in one of Minghao’s ‘so-ugly-it’s-cute’ knit sweaters and the same brown vest of the bookstore he worked at - where they first met, where they first fell in love, where Y/N got yelled at by his boss after falling into a conversation with Minghao by the back of the store about books of poetry they loved.
How Minghao lingered in the same section of obscure unorganized books until Y/N’s lunch break, when they took a stroll around the block and picked up right where they left off; when Minghao brought Y/N back to his apartment for coffee and tea, and soon chamomile coloured kisses as Minghao tenderly recited his favourite poetry with a flushed, smiling Y/N under his hands. Whenever Y/N would come home from work and greet Minghao with his warm embrace, those were the things that Minghao always remembered and never dared to let slip from the front of his mind.
“Hey, babe.”
“Hey…” Y/N stopped at the couch and rested his hands on Minghao’s shoulders, later dipping down and wrapping his arms around Minghao’s neck to hug him in a way that always left Minghao unravelling at where he stroked Y/N’s knuckles and kissed his fingers. Letting go after squeezing just a little bit tighter and hearing Minghao feign a choking noise with the widest smile Y/N’s ever seen, Y/N looked down to see a book across Minghao’s lap - the one he recommended at the start of their first awkward conversation. “Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to disturb you.”
Y/N rose up, hands slipping away from Minghao’s loose grip on his fingers, as if he had touched scorching hot sand. He missed the small pout Minghao lent toward the wall ahead of them.
It was no secret between them how much Minghao loved the way Y/N always curled around him, or the way he always tugged Y/N in to embrace him, as that feeling of being swept away by the smell of old books and subtle lavender shampoo Y/N kept stealing from Minghao was one that Minghao never wanted to be rid of. They’ve made a habit - an instinct, at this point - of Minghao falling into Y/N’s arms, collapsing in his embrace, always so readily accepting his affections. The feeling of being protected, of having someone to fall into and depend on, and for someone who is there to catch him whenever he feels like stumbling; that was what Y/N gave to him.
He’s never felt safer than with Y/N, he’s never felt more loved than with Y/N.
This was partially due to Y/N’s height, and the smile that flourished on Minghao’s lips the moment Y/N came close enough for him to have to tilt his head the slightest bit to meet that brilliant intrigue in Y/N’s eyes. With Y/N’s height came these sort of ‘expectations’ of how Y/N navigated his affections with Minghao. Y/N was constantly initiating, doing all the embracing and never knowing how it felt to be held or embodied by the warmth Y/N enveloped Minghao in whenever they would linger in their hug for a moment that always ended a few seconds too soon.
“No! Are you crazy?” Minghao shot up from the couch to reach Y/N’s hand as he began to walk away and set his book bag down on the dining table behind them, its leather weathered and worn since the first time they met. Y/N was jerked back to where Minghao propped himself up on the couch and wrapped his arms around Minghao’s waist. “This book was boring anyway.”
“Excuse me!?” Y/N gawked in offense, backing up with his hands on Minghao’s cheeks to make sure that he was able to take in Y/N’s widened eyes and gaping mouth; all of his disappointment and awe and pain wrapped up in one look. Minghao chuckled sheepishly, scratching at his head as he tried to think of salvaging whatever he could. “How dare you? This is quite literally the best of historical fiction in the palm of your hands,” Y/N pressed deep, frantic kisses to Minghao’s palm as he snatched it up from where Minghao was holding them up in front of his face - a desperate attempt to shield himself from Y/N’s fury. “And you dare call it ‘boring’!?”
“I didn’t mean it, I swear!” Minghao played into the drama of Y/N’s raised voice, unable to hide his grin or the laughter that seeped into his words. “It’s just that anything else is boring when you’re here…”
Y/N always awaits this time of day, especially with the way Minghao makes him feel as if their stars collide, and as Minghao always nestles into Y/N’s embrace or shrinks in his arms. This was always their pattern, Y/N gives and embraces and protects Minghao from the outside world, and Minghao receives and melts into Y/N’s touch and is sheltered in the warmth and starlight that Y/N soaks him in.
However, being someone who’s always meant to do the embracing and is never embraced, has left Y/N longing for that type of warmth that Minghao always seemed to be given - those fires dancing in his heart whenever Y/N squeezes just a little bit tighter around his shoulders as they fall asleep at five in the evening. Who would protect Y/N, and keep him safe whenever he wanted to fall? He was always at the back of the line, nothing between him and the outside whenever he was always holding Minghao - never the other way around - so nobody was there to protect him.
Initiating all the time left Y/N in this constant state of half-emptiness, and had him constantly yearning for that type of protection and ease and emotional release. He wanted to feel loved in that way, too.
Y/N always seemed to be relegated to this role of giving, supporting, being the ‘big spoon’, and constantly needing to hold someone. As much as Y/N took pride in all of those things, he always felt so exhausted by these things at the same time. He would never receive as much as he would give, and there came a point where he didn’t receive at all; that left Y/N constantly wondering, asking his moments of silence what he did wrong, or what he could be doing to get that sort of affection too. He was constantly making the first move, and that left him sad to a certain extent - insecure in himself even.
He loved Minghao, he adored him so much that he wanted to do the best he could. However, he can’t help but feel so exhausted with how Minghao would always want to be held and hugged and didn’t seem to give Y/N that similar attention.
“Well I’m here now, so let’s have some fun.” Y/N raised an eyebrow and wrapped his arms back around Minghao’s waist in a moment of stillness, a moment of Minghao’s expectation to hold him there and threaten to take him down on a couch they’re surprised hasn’t buckled under the weight of all the times they’ve done the exact same thing.
Minghao didn’t hug Y/N back in response, he never did. He just patted Y/N’s arms with a smile before Y/N let him fall back onto the couch. That yearning for Minghao to hug him back was still there, it still shone like a star in Y/N’s thoughts. And Y/N, now wrapping around the couch to straddle Minghao and pin him down by the wrists, to close in on his radiant grin and catch his manic giggles in between their teeth, is still left wanting to understand what it felt like to have that, to be the one on the receiving end of such an explicit form of love that Y/N never thought he needed until it was nowhere in sight.
Holding Minghao, bringing those beautiful little chuckles off his tongue, it began to feel a little more of a responsibility than a comfort.
What was worse was that Y/N just didn’t know how to bring it up, he didn’t know how to stitch his words and reasons and arguments together without Minghao so easily tearing it apart and watching Y/N’s threads snap on their own as Y/N would sit there, confused about what he was saying and why he felt this way. It all just left Y/N biting back a sigh as Minghao leaned in for Y/N to kiss him.
*
By the time evening’s colours bled into the sky, the oranges and pale roses of the sunset doing their best to leak in through the windows that Y/N and Minghao didn’t care to close, Y/N and Minghao were settled down in their bedroom. The newly painted ivory walls were dyed a faint orange, Y/N sat at the desk across from their bed with his laptop tucked between his knees, and found every way to distract himself from the half-finished essay on his computer screen by playing with the copper twines of sunlight that tangled up in his open hands.
Minghao was laying on the bed, feet dangling idly in the air as he indulged in the book he found thrown against their television stand after they parted from each other’s mouths in the morning. He knew that Y/N’s recommendations could never disappoint him - he was absolutely engrossed, and never departed from it other than to answer Y/N’s exclamations of boredom and agony as he lamented over his citations.
The air remained undisturbed otherwise, still like the surface of the waters on the west edge of town that Y/N and Minghao would take walks on whenever Minghao would need to clear his head. Y/N was always there for him, even when the muted colours of the early morning have barely settled in the sky.
However, the same couldn’t be said about Y/N’s mind, which tugged him in each and every direction.
Not about the simplicity of his thesis or inability to focus for more than five seconds without peering over his screen to look at Minghao and that subtle smile he always had on whenever they were relaxing in this room - Minghao would constantly declare this place they stripped down and built back up as their home. Y/N always found a smile blossoming on his face whenever Minghao would reminisce like that, he was glad that he had at least a part in helping Minghao feel so safe. Minghao would always seem to trail after Y/N’s thoughts, too, and pull Y/N’s arms around him as he would say that it was all because of Y/N.
Thinking about the sincerity in Minghao’s eyes, the warmth in his voice and that subtle, transient touch on Y/N’s hands before he swiftly let go and leaned in for Y/N to sweep him off his feet, it made all of the things Y/N wanted to bring up even harder to say. It was as if a single word could tear the sunlight apart, disrupt whatever peace they’ve built up together in this quiet. But Y/N couldn’t hold it back - he barely thought about what he was going to say-
“Am I too tall…?” Y/N shut his computer halfway and placed it on the desk, he turned in his chair to locate Minghao’s expression, only to find him perplexed and curious. The way Minghao’s face seemed to be so twisted up in uncertainty, it made Y/N feel as if none of what he was going to say made any sense - even to himself. “What? I just don’t seem like a ‘holdable’ size for a lot of people.” Y/N tried to sound out his feelings and insecurities the best he could, but all he wanted to do was bury his head in his hands with the tension he pulled tighter and tighter around the room.
Minghao lifted an eyebrow before pushing himself off the bed, heading toward where Y/N sat with his eyes already shining in this doubtful light. “Of course you’re holdable, you’re the perfect size.” He said, just before wrapping his arms around Y/N and kissing his cheek, gently and quickly, before returning to his book. “See? Perfectly holdable.”
This was the first time  Minghao ever embraced Y/N like that, and gave him the affection he always wanted. However, Y/N’s brief happiness and relief crumbled as he realized that it was just to prove a point and nothing else. It was the only reassurance that Y/N has ever gotten for all the affection he’s given Minghao, and he didn’t want to let go of it.
“I dunno, I just don’t feel like I get held a lot…?” Y/N bit into his lip in contemplation, and he didn’t really notice how passive-aggressive that sounded until he looked back at Minghao to see his uncertain expression had yet to change. In fact, it only deepened as Minghao let out a confused hum in place of the awkward silence and put his book down again and set it to the side. Y/N’s fidgeting hands, his halting words, the thought behind his eyes, Minghao saw all of it and shuffled over to the edge of the bed and let his legs dangle.
“I… Uhm… Do you want me to hold you?” Minghao asked, his voice thin and high with uneasiness.
Y/N was trying to say something, talk about something that mattered to him, Minghao knew that for sure, yet he couldn’t quite place what Y/N was meaning. So Mingaho just tried to fill in the blanks, honest and unconditional and pragmatic as he always was during their discussions.
“This is kind of a weird way to ask me, if I’m being honest.”
Minghao’s words suspended themselves in the sunset streaming in through the windows and laid there to shimmer for a moment. Y/N felt their light and their sting as he let them settle in, and he felt something snapping as if he just couldn’t hold onto it anymore. He couldn’t just bite back his reservations or his whines for Minghao to hug him back, he couldn’t just deal with his insecurities of never being affectionate enough to warrant it back, or contemplate on what he was doing wrong whenever he was left to make the first move. Always being the one to embrace and always feeling Minghao look up at him, thinking about where his height left him constantly supporting and always on the outer edge, never small enough to fit on the inside.
Y/N didn’t care about what he was more hurt about, what he was more insecure about. All he knew was that he was irritated and resentful of a lot of things. Restraining it, telling himself how he felt didn’t matter wasn’t going to work this time.
“It’s not weird, okay?” Y/N’s voice was heated and severe, as if he was holding it in for so long it took less than a mere moment to boil over. He saw Minghao recoil slightly and could already sense him reflecting on his words, but he didn’t wait for him to come to any conclusion, and neither did the fires of his sudden frustration. “Just because you’re not insecure about your height or don’t need to go out of your way to ask for affection doesn’t make it weird, and it sure as hell doesn’t stop me from being conscious about it. It just makes me feel stupid for bringing it up in the first place…”
“Y/N- I… I didn’t mean it like that, I’m sorry.” Minghao reached out to take Y/N’s hands, and as he felt Y/N’s fingers tangled up in his, he realized how little he’s actually done this and how few times he’s ever been the one to reach out first for something that wasn’t to just bring Y/N’s arms around himself.
His guilt set in like a head rush, dropping in his stomach with the weight of all the days he was left on the receiving end of all Y/N’s boundless love and didn’t repay it across from pecks to the forehead on the way out the door.
“I know… It’s okay. I didn’t mean to snap at you, though, so I’m sorry…” Y/N said as Minghao pulled him in, held him by his face, and leaned in - rocking on his toes to meet Y/N’s lips - to kiss him.
“I didn’t mean to dismiss you, I just never thought you would be insecure about being tall or giving affection...” He shook his head in the curve of Y/N’s neck as he brought his lips down to his shoulders, all the adoration he’s never actually let Y/N feel now drenching Y/N’s skin and trickling down his spine in shivers and blissful sweetness.
“I’m not gonna go around crying about wearing ‘size thirteen Nikes’ or anything - you’re not gonna need to make a movie about my tribulations.”
They shared a chuckle between them as Minghao craned his neck to kiss Y/N’s forehead, thinking about how they both ironically and unironically watched Tall Girl the other day with Y/N wound around Minghao on their living room couch. Their jokes about Y/N finally getting some tall-person representation and their smiles that came afterward; Minghao now wondered if the sparks of that conversation made the burns of Y/N’s insecurities worse despite how bright and colourful his laughter against Minghao’s skin was. Minghao can still find the sunrise-tinted stains of Y/N’s breathless laughter on his skin, flashes back to some of their most cherished memories like the strings of polaroids hanging above their nightstand.
“I dunno… I know you love me. It’s just that sometimes I get insecure about the physical part, that’s all.” Y/N continued, playing anxiously with Minghao’s hands as they were draped between them. “I think about how often I give affection and how often I make the first move in general… I just want to know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of it.”
“Oh, Y/N…”
Minghao loves physical affection - especially Y/N’s physical affection - however, he was a little more partial to other forms of affection. He always preferred to show his love and adoration through words, in gifts or acts of service, things he could do that lasted for longer than those singular moments of endlessness that were the hugs and kisses they shared.
However, what he was overly partial to was hurting Y/N to an extent, and he couldn’t just think about the way that only he loved anymore - he needed to stop thinking that way the moment they made things official as they hung on the fringes of Minghao’s bedsheets. He failed to consider Y/N, his boyfriend, the ways he showed his love, and the ways he wanted to be loved.
Minghao - as observant as he always thought himself to be - was ignorant to that until just now. It took too long for him to realize, and he could see the exhaustion and hurt in Y/N’s eyes, how insecure he truly was and how insecure Minghao let him be.
“I literally spelled out the definition of ‘first world problems’ didn’t I…?” Y/N moved to bury his face in his hands, but Minghao kept his grip tight and held their tied hands at their sides.
“No- Y/N.” Mighao gave one more reassuring squeeze to Y/N’s fingers. “I get it, it’s exhausting sometimes to constantly be giving affection and not receive it - it starts to feel like you might be doing something wrong, which you’re not! Not at all! You’re doing everything so right, and I’m sorry I’ve made you feel otherwise.” Minghao let his gaze fall to the ground with a soft sigh, all his disappointment in himself weighing down on him, leaving Y/N to bring his eyes back up with a nudge to his chin. “I’m really sorry I haven’t been more observant about your feelings. I want you to feel all the love I have for you, and to repay you in all the ways you make me feel like the only person in the world.”
For a while, there was no response, and Minghao’s words were left to linger in the air until Y/N suddenly sent them collapsing on the bed behind them. With a chuckle into Y/N’s neck, Minghao was sent sprawling, his arms and legs instantly, almost on this instinct he never acted on until now, wrapped around Y/N as he melted and unravelled in Minghao’s embrace. A sigh of relief pooled on Minghao’s chest as Y/N buried it in his skin, and Minghao couldn’t help but shine a grin as he found gleeful shimmers dancing happily in Y/N’s eyes.
“Thank you, Hao, for understanding… I just didn’t know how to bring it up without feeling superficial and stupid.” Y/N shuffled around in Minghao’s arms for a minute, he needed to get used to these sensations; the feeling of arms curling around him, of feeling free to bury his smiles in Minghao’s neck, and of feeling Minghao’s touch plunge beneath his sweatshirt and paint his skin with the colours of the sunset taken between them. Falling victim to Minghao’s hands as he treasured Y/N’s silhouette, traced every sparkle of copper sunlight as it spilled down on them through their windows, it was paradise.
Y/N understood why Minghao never wanted Y/N to let go.
“I love you…” Y/N’s words were soft and tender, as rich as the honey that dyed quiet skies of evenings on hilltops and fields that stretched until the skyline swallowed them up, but as delicate as the lavenders they’d pluck from the ground and tuck behind their ears as they laid side by side on the grass. Their declarations of love were usually silent, there was a time where they’d always let the whispers between the trees or the silence of the night to do the talking for them, but saying it out loud - taking Minghao’s face in his hands and letting those words hang from their lips until they tied them together with their tongues, that was a different kind of bliss.
“I love you too, baby. And it’s not stupid, I’m glad you came to me about it even if I didn’t do the best job at listening.” Minghao traced the shadows sketched into Y/N’s figure with his fingers, and giggled as Y/N flinched back with a chuckle. He kept a hand on Y/N’s waist to hold him still, though, and forced Y/N to withstand his torment of soft, tentative caresses against his skin. With every second he touched Y/N, held him in his arms, the more he regretted not knowing about all of this earlier, and not truly recognizing how much Y/N was giving, how much he was taking or expecting, and how much he wasn’t giving back.
He thought back to how anxious and tense Y/N looked as he struggled to bring this up, all the apprehension wound up in him that was palpable by the time Minghao made it to the edge of the bed to hear him out. The last thing Minghao ever wanted Y/N to feel was a hesitance to communicate about things that matter to him - whether they were about their relationship or his work or his school or anything else. Minghao was supposed to be Y/N’s safe space, his place of refuge from the outside world - he was to protect Y/N as much as Y/N protected him.
“I never want you to feel like you can’t bring things up if they bother you - if you can’t say them right, then say them wrong, because I don’t wanna live a life where we don’t feel safe with each other.”
Y/N propped himself up on his hands to look Minghao in the eye, ripples of ivory sheets pooling around him and where they remained with Minghao pushed into the sheets, grasping at Y/N’s waist, with a brilliant smile plastered on his face. Although they were always so candid with each other, Y/N still found himself taken aback by all their conversations that bore more weight on the air. He felt so much relief and comfort, and hearing Minghao say all of these things left him with no room to speak. “Alright…”
“So say all the stupid shit that pops into your mind, I’ll always be listening, baby - I promise I’ll listen better…” Minghao kneaded his hands into Y/N’s waist and hips and thighs as he spoke. This wasn’t going to be a place of barred up feelings and reservations bitten back so many times they have no choice but to boil over, both Y/N and Minghao were going to make sure of that.
“I’ll promise to listen better, too.” Y/N caught Minghao’s hands and then gently pressed them into the bed, above Minghao’s head. He leaned in and met Minghao’s grin halfway, interlacing their fingers as Minghao eased his tongue between Y/N’s teeth and struggled with a feeble laugh against Y/N’s hands. They both knew that Minghao would stay like this forever, though, under Y/N's hands in the same place their sunrises ended and sunsets began - Minghao never wanted to leave, and neither did Y/N. “Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me for telling you that I’ll do better to accommodate your stresses. Now that’s a little weird…” Minghao squeezed one of Y/N’s hands, a request to let go for a second, and reached up to pinch at Y/N’s cheek with an arched eyebrow before bringing Y/N’s hand back into his once more. “I should’ve been doing that from the start, and I should’ve seen it. Affection is such a beautiful language and I didn’t listen to you when you spoke it. I’m really sorry, Y/N.”
“It’s okay…” Y/N heard himself whining now; because as much as he appreciated Minghao’s apologies, he didn’t want Minghao to beat himself up for it. They reached a resolution, and Y/N couldn’t be happier.
“Thank you for forgiving me, but I’m still going to make it up to you.” Minghao jerked up against Y/N’s hands to peck Y/N on the cheek, and with another shove and a swing of his hips, he turned them over with a triumphant laugh as he shoved Y/N down into the sheets. He rushed to straddle Y/N’s waist and hold him down by his wrists, caressing them with his thumbs and taking in Y/N’s shock and defeated pout, and revelling in the way Y/N surrendered under the weight of Minghao’s hips on his. “So is there anything you want for dinner?”
Y/N couldn’t help but chuckle at their sudden departure from everything they just talked about.
“I… Uh…” He stumbled over his words as he struggled against Minghao’s hands. There was this comfort that settled under the surface of his skin as Minghao let go of Y/N’s hands to hold him by the curves of his neck and pulled him in, kissed him, then ran his hands down Y/N’s body. And as they pulled back, there was this luster of adoration in Minghao’s eyes as he looked down at Y/N. Y/N felt a warm flush seep into him, just like the blush that always bloomed on Minghao’s cheeks whenever he looked at him in that exact same way. “Are you even hungry?”
“Not really, I already have my full course meal under me anyway.”
Minghao froze after he finished, eyes widening and already dreading the wide grin that began to quickly bloom on Y/N’s lips. A furious and deep flush flooded Minghao’s cheeks and neck and burned to the touch as Y/N rushed up to hold Minghao by his cheeks, scarlet flames lapping at Y/N’s hands as Minghao’s blush only seethed through his skin even more among their silence. Y/N revelled in it and the instant regret that he could tell stirred in Minghao’s mind and thought that the treachery and sacrilege that was Minghao’s ‘joke’ was the best thing he has ever experienced since their first kiss.
“I… I don’t know where that came from-”
Y/N cut him off by taking a handful of his sweater and tying their lips together, an eager grin shaping the sparks between them as he felt Minghao fall into his gravity, pull himself in, careen further and further into the cosmos that Y/N’s kisses sent him reeling into. “I’ll never let you forget that you said that…”
“Fuck.” Minghao groaned into Y/N’s mouth before pulling back to catch his breath, the breath that Y/N always manages to steal from him. With the way they fell into each other, when their touches eclipse and the world loses its light for those moments they lay in each other’s, Minghao wonders how the world managed to govern itself without that center of gravity that was formed the moment they held hands in the park for the first time. Y/N always made Minghao feel as if he were the only star in the sky, and Y/N was Minghao’s entire world, the only thing that Minghao will ever find himself revolving around.
There was a time when they didn’t know each other, a time when the sunlight didn’t have its place to settle in between their chests on or the tips of their tongues before they would close the spaces in an instant. They have a hard time realizing it now, that they existed before each other, and they existed before Minghao gave as much as he received.
“You know what? I won't take it back, bitch!”
Y/N cocked his head at Minghao’s declaration with a smirk before sweeping Minghao’s weight from under him and flipping them over again, taking Minghao down and watching how the sunlight traced Minghao’s smile, and how his laughter bent its copper glow to the will of their bliss. He leaned in closer and closer, and Minghao pulled Y/N in closer and closer.
Lingering just before Minghao’s already parting mouth, the faintness of the sunset’s burnt sugar on the edge of their lips was just in reach. Minghao’s desperate fistful of Y/N’s sweatshirt was the only thing between Y/N and taking another night between their hands and chests and lips and lovestruck stares. “I won’t take this back either, then.”
Y/N always wanted to feel safe to fall, and now, with Minghao’s touch wound around him with no hesitation, no doubt or consciousness, he can already feel himself slipping. And he can already sense Minghao opening his arms to catch him.

ੈ✩‧₊ Paint an immortal love ੈ✩‧₊
Tumblr media
Paring : Xu Minghao x Male reader
Word Count : 0.8k
Song : Strawberries and Cigarettes by Troye Sivan
Genre : Immortal au, angst to fluff
TW: Implied homophobia, death
A/n: This was requested, I got the inspiration to write this after such a long time!!! Feedback is much appreciated! Questions and requests are always open !
Tumblr media
It was a losing game but he still chose to play.
Immortals falling in love with mortal was not forbidden, but looked down upon. It was considered to be crumbling a dried rose. A rose which once smelt of warmth, reduced to pieces of angst. Y/N and Minghao promised to stay together, yet they both knew it was promise which couldn't be kept. Those sneaky escapades of Minghao and Y/N had to be said goodbye, yet one wouldn't remember and one could never forget.
Minghao was an immortal who would just roam around the streets of the mortal world. The mortal art decepting how the they perceived the world, be it with a field of dandelions or a court full of thorns. The museums he visited displayed a pulchritudinous array of art, portraying god and mortal emotions.
It was one of those lonely nights, when the museum did not have much rush, the gale could be heard, a sign of the winters approaching.
Minghao was staring at the painting, the painting decepting two souls with intertwined hands, it was rumoured that the painter had painted it for him and his lover, homosexual relationships being a sin in the society. Minghao never understood the reason about being in love considered to be a sin.
"It's pretty, isn't it?"
Minghao looked back to see a guy staring at the picture as well, a small smile resting on his face.
"Indeed it is."
"If only the painter was a female, falling in love with him wouldn't be a crime."
The two of them stood in silence, the silence speaking way more than words could ever speak.
Minghao glanced at the guy next to him, features no less than a angel.
Brown hair which matched his caramel eyes, small lips with a settling smile, a rouge tint to his cheeks, probably due to weather.
"I wish I could relive this painting."
Minghao looked at the guy, confusion written all over his face. The guy seemed to understand that and gave a light chuckle.
"Experience the love of an artist, become someone's muse. Get my love immoratalized for this world. Let the world know what love can be."
"This painting depicts a relationship between two men, would you want that as well?"
"If love can cross borders, it can cross languages, why can't it cross genders?" The guy turned his full attention to Minghao, replying with a slight spark in his eyes, waiting for his response.
"Not all borders are meant to be crossed, exepcially when the other side has thorns."
"If no one crosses border with the fear of thorns, the path will never clear. Someone needs to cross the border and remove the thorns."
Minghao just smiled, never meeting a mortal with such solitary thoughts. He lent out his hand, a friendly gesture he hoped the guy would reciprocate.
"Minghao"
The guy gladly shook hands, flashing a bright smile," Y/N"
The hands which shook, created a bond which could only be broken by time. The two young men, ignorant of others around them, fell in love with each other deeply everyday. Be it reading the newspaper together, snuggled together in the bed, the noises of the coach in the background or their late night escapes in the pub, a beer in hand, flushed cheeks and eyes full of love.
Minghao was hesitant to start this relationship, knowing he will live on with just memories, but for Y/N, he was ready to give the happy memories and carry on with the bitter memory of losing the loved one.
Relationships are built on trust, yet Minghao could never have the courage to tell him that he was an immortal, that he would indeed keep the promise of loving him forever.
Yet as the leaves turn brown, the sky turns grey, the lover's blood lost the warmth, lost the red tint. Y/N passed away young, a death not deserved, a death placed upon him for fighting for his love, shot at a rally for letting men love men, for letting the seven colours fly, only for him fly away as white dove.
The color of Minghao's life left, the monotonous routine taking over. A whole lifetime at his disposal, yet he longs to be with angel. Years passed, yet that smile could never fade away from his mind. Minghao lived on, visiting the museum every fortnight. Staring at the painting which made his lover immortal.
The night was nothing special, the museum being empty at night, Minghal standing carelessly in front of the painting, remembering his lover when his trance was broken by an another guy, voicing his thoughts.
"It's beautiful isn't it? Only for their love to be forbidden."
Minghao snapped his neck back to see a guy, black hair, pale lips, different from his lover, yet the same glint in the eyes which he could identify in thousand other eyes, those eyes which made him smile like never before. The eyes which made him love, which made him realise the importance of a heartbeat, those eyes which stood before him
again, life giving him a chance again, a smile creeping on his face in years.
"Till death do us apart, yet the same eyes, the same I love you stands before me."

You are a old ethereal looking vampire who lives in an old traditional chinese home with your partner for eternity . All that people know about you is that even their grandparents talk about a gorgeous couple that lives in the wood near the waterfalls that refuses to meet the new generations .
You and your husband live with the nature and are the definition of calm and completely inlove . Living since the prosperous tang dynasty made you wise and knowing of what's to happen . You build yourself a get away with the man you married when you were once human . He was a well known General while you were an official favored by the emperor because of your beauty you were to beautiful to even consider human and so breathtaking that some forgot you were a man .
Both , you and your husband were well known and liked by the people but one fateful day when Xi'an got attacked and your mansion went up in flames , the fateful night your perfect life was to end . The night you and your husband became creatures of the night that drink human blood with beauty so captivating that people want to get sucked dry by them .
After that you and your husband fled to the woods where you could live peaceful and cherish eachother day and night . So now even though it's been hundreds of years the love you have for eachother Is endless, the love you hold for your husband is so sweet and seemingly never ending is so endearing.
Your lovely husband and
the love of your life

sometimes when you walk by the old birch tree, you could still see him sitting near the trunk, a book in his hands as he absent-mindedly gazes at the fallen autumn leaves.
sometimes when you start up the radio, you could swear you hear him chuckle beside you as your favourite song plays, and as you try to move yourself on the beats of the song for old times' sake you could feel his hand on your waist, guiding you through the moderately difficult choreography he had put together for your dance competition.
sometimes you can still see him sitting on his favorite coffee-colored armchair slurping the black coffee as he gently gazed at you, his hands shaking slightly as his head moved as if saying that he noticed you without you calling out to him.
sometimes when your hands trail over the keys of the piano, singing an unsung melody you could almost see his fluid body dancing to your beats.
he's gone; you try to remind yourself. he's gone from your life; you try to console yourself.
but it doesn't hurt any less than it did at first.
you swore you could feel him sitting right next to you as you watched the stars atop the hill where you both very happily trekked; those glittering jewels were still the same, but you weren't.
it didn't hurt any less, you didn't know any more.
did you really require a psychiatrist as people said?
you promised yourself you wouldn't come back to this town, yet you see yourself wandering here aimlessly at the end of the month, for those exact five days.
all their words seem monotonous now. they seem the same, they feel the same.
you lay your head on the trunk of the birch tree, tears welling in your eyes as you peered at the full moon, smiling at the night sky gives good dreams, right?
you smiled as tears trickled down your face,
"I want to see you again, minghao."
you whispered as a leaf flew into your lap, this time you smiled gratefully as you closed your eyes, "I miss you, minghao."
"y/n?" you heard him call out to you, your eyes fluttering and squinting because of the sunlight in your face as you gazed up at him.
"hao!" you breathed in delight, your chest swarming with warmth as tears dropped from your eyes.
he's here! he's present! right before you!
"y/n," he said, his eyes widening as he stepped back from you.
your brows furrowed, why was he going away from you?
"hao," you called out, your voice soft and near-breaking as the said male stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes shaking as he looked at you, "is it you y/n?"
"who else?" you asked, your hands rushing forward to touch him.
he pursed his lips, his body shaking under your touch as he asked, "what are you doing here, y/n?"
"I came to find you," you breathed out, your voice heavy as you tried to remember just why you and minghao had parted; you couldn't remember it. "i couldn't forget you- i love you too much to let go."
"to find me?" he asked, a wistful smile on his face as he patted your head, "you came all this way to find me?"
"i never left," you admitted, watching him shiver underneath your touch. why was he so shaken up? you wondered as you leaned your head on his chest, his heart pumping and racing strangely calming you down,
but did ghosts or spirits have heartbeats?
"I missed you, hao."
"I missed you so much, y/n," he replied his voice strained, his hands around you now as he clutched you closer to him, trying to imprint your figure in his mind.
"can we get back together?" you asked, your words a bumbling mess as you tried to pour your heart out after all this mess.
"they'll will think of me as insane."
"hao?'' you asked, your eyes fluttering as you admired his angelic face, you didn't remember why you parted, you couldn't remember anything at all- anything that happened in the past few months, but he was here; right in front of you! saying that he missed you too, did anything else matter for now?
"can you kiss me, minghao?" you asked, your body and heart yearning for the warmth you desired for all these months, yearning for his gentle touch as he could only nod at you.
his lips were still so much in sync with yours, they were hungry, passionate and full of yearning almost as if he was trying to pull your soul out. he buried his hand in your hair and pulled you towards himself, "y/n," he breathed, tears dripping from his eyes as you gasped.
"hao!" you wiped his tears away, your hands cupping his face as you asked, "what happened? why are you crying?"
"i am hallucinating, right? have i finally gone insane? should i really meet a doctor?"
"what?"
"you're gone, y/n," he breathed out, his lips quivering as you felt yourself lighten physically. you're gone? but you're right here?
"I am right here, hao, I'm telling you, I'm always here. I missed you!"
"you shouldn't be here, y/n," he whispered in your ears, you didn't like seeing him cry, he shouldn't cry.
"what do you mean?" you asked, you could see a strange light around you both as you cradled minghao in your arms, your sobs never-ending.
"what do you mean, hao!?"
"you died, y/n; you died months ago," he said, as he desperately tried to hold your now vanishing figure as your eyes widened.
you died? but you were living, right here! right now! wasn't it minghao who was gone? who were all those people whom you talked to, you clearly remember your hallucinations of minghao sitting and— oh... oh.
"hao," your voice was soft as you clutched him closer to yourself, an unknown easiness felt in your bones.
you pushed him slightly away from you, trying to ingrain every detail of his in your soul, how beautiful he was, how fleeting yet purposeful his touches were, how kind he was.
"please, don't leave me again, y/n," he whimpered, burying his face in your neck as he tried to hold onto your diminishing figure.
you could only smile sadly.
"don't let me haunt you, hao," you whispered, hugging him closer to you, "forget me."
"I can't, I can't, I can't! i love you and only you! please," his voice broke as he tried to grab onto your fleeting figure, "please y/n, please— you...you can't just go like this!" he retorted, his voice sharp, "you can't go away after meeting me like this..."
you gently kissed his cheek as you realised your hands were borderline transparent now.
"minghao, you deserve everything. so please don't dwell on me; move on and live your life, find someone to love, find someone else to call—"
"I can't, y/n; I love you, I will only love you," he wailed.
"minghao," your lips connected with his forehead as you smiled, "we will meet in our next life; let me be the ghost of your past, i won't ever forgive myself if you stop living your life to the fullest because of me."
"y/n," he breathed, relishing in the way of how your lips felt for the last time.
"let me go, minghao."
"I don't want to."
"you need to," you smiled at him, "for me."
"comeback... please," his voice quivered as he desperately tried to hold onto your disappearing hand, his eyes red.
"you're amazing hao," you whispered, tucking back a strand of his hair. "please live on, live on... for me."
"i will be the happiest when i see you doing well here, right here," you looked up at the morning star, intertwining your hand with his as you kissed his knuckles.
"let me go."
"i love you," he whispered slowly, as if reminding your soul about where you belonged.
he reluctantly put his hands away from you, writhing in heartache as he saw your figure depart, slowly vanishing piece by piece, at last your smile vanished too, haunting him for eternity.
yet he smiled at your last words, the words which had barely slipped your lips,
"i will love you for eternity too, minghao. find me in another life."
"i will," he whispered clutching his coat, "I will."
to my dear y/n,
in another life when the world falters in front of you and we haven't found each other yet, remember me. someday when all you need is an embrace, run back to me. someday when you feel like you're not enough, i will fill your cup with all the warmth you had given to me, come back to me. someday when you have no one to love, love me. love me for i will always be here with baited breath, yearning for your return as you think back to me. someday when you reunite with me again, i will say all these words to you; because even if we aren't meant to be, even if we aren't soulmates, i will always cherish you. whether it is the ghost of your embrace or you in flesh, i will only ever love you. so please, please wait for me in another life as i sweep you off your feet there too.
with love,
minghao

"Y/N, you have to stop Hoshi hyung." Minghao groaned, tugging his lovers hand as he dragged Y/N to their boyfriend. "He won't stop."
"Let him be, Hao." Y/N said. "If he wants to be a tiger, Woozi hyung will stop him."
"True." Minghao mused. "His guitar is dangerous."
"Now, let's go. I feel like eating grilled pork for lunch. If Youngie hyung doesn't want lunch, he can stay a tiger forever."
"Hey!" Hoshi yelled. "I can be a tiger and eat lunch you know?"
Y/N simply flipped him off, And he and Minghao left Hoshi to chase after them.
____________________
"You look tired." Minghao murmured, running his hair through Y/N's brown locks. "You should go sleep."
"I can't." Y/N mumbled. "This is due tomorrow."
"You should sleep. You don't work good on a sleep deprived mind." Hoshi spoke up, watching Y/N and Minghao. "Can't you ask for a deadline extension?"
"My boss is strict." Y/N said. "I've asked for a previous one, he didn't accept."
An hour later, Hoshi and Minghao, awaking to an empty bed, found Y/N asleep over his desk, face stuck to his laptop.
"Cute." Minghao whispered, picking Y/N up with practiced ease and carrying him to the bed. "Sleep well, Y/N/N."
____________________
Y/N, Minghao and Hoshi sat on the floor, playing uno.
"Please..." Hoshi begged. Y/N, who'd lost, watched in enthusiastic silence as Minghao took a draw 4 card.
"I'm sorry..."
"After all we've been through?" Hoshi cried dramatically.
"Uno." Minghao said, and Y/N cheered.
"Go baby!"
"What about me??" Hoshi whined.
"You're such a big baby." Y/N whined. "Here, I love you too."

The Ghost of You - Seventeen
Minghao x Ghost!Male!Reader
Warnings: You’re dead, tiny bit of angst, the others can’t see you in the beginning, one curse word
Summary: Minghao never thought he’d be living in a haunted dorm, let alone with an attractive ghost.
Requested: By how much I love Xu Minghao
A/N: I’m showing my emo phase with that title. At first this just supposed to be some love for one of my ult biases, but then my friend and I got on the topic of supernatural creatures and then the tag game Going Seventeen came out and here we are. This is in third person point of view, so reader is referred to in third person.
Tumblr media
It wasn’t unusual for weird things to happen in the dorm, specifically Minghao’s room. His art moved to different places when he was gone, the door would open on its own, so on and so forth. Nothing too crazy has ever happened, the ghost, if there was one, seemed to be relatively peaceful. Minghao was skeptical at first, ghosts weren’t real, right? As more and more of the unexplainable began to happen, Minghao was more willing to accept he shared a dorm with not only twelve other boys, but a dead person as well.
One day, Minghao was lounging in his bed when the door to his room creeped open with no sign of any members nearby. He wanted to roll his eyes at the mere thought of speaking to ‘a ghost’ or whatever, but it was the only thing he could come up with to figure out what was going on. “I don’t know if this is some elaborate prank by the guys or this is an actual ghost, but it’s getting annoying.”
“I’m sorry,” Minghao felt his heart drop at the sound of a voice replying to him. He thought it was his mind playing tricks on him until a body began to form before his eyes. “I didn’t mean to scare you or to make you annoyed. It just gets lonely by myself, you know.”
“What the fuck...” Minghao was too confused and shocked to focus on controlling his use of curses. There was an actual person standing in front of him, ghosts were real. A lot of thoughts bombarded his mind and he could barely focus on one single thing.
“I know it’s all so much to take in at once, you just looked confused and kinda afraid and I couldn’t bare to see you like that,” the ghost seemed to be shy, (e/c) eyes downcast to the floor. Minghao realized whoever this was didn’t intent to cause any harm or pain whatsoever; in fact, it was the exact opposite.
Minghao took a deep breath as he began to calm down and fully take in the situation. He took note of the raggedy, somewhat dirty clothes loosely hanging off the ghost’s body and just how attractive he actually was. Before the latter thought could get any form of attention, he decided to leave it alone and speak. “What’s your name?”
“Y/N,” the ghost finally looked up and locked eyes with Minghao. To the latter, it was almost as if the world seemed to stop and they were the only ones who existed.
Minghao’s head snapped towards the door as it creeped open. Jun poked his own head into the room, his smile dropping at the sight of his best friend’s slightly panicked face. “The food is here.”
“Oh, um, I’ll be down in a second.” Minhghao quickly replied. Jun nodded and with a look of confusion written on his face, he closed the door. Minghao turned his attention back to Y/N who still stood at the end of his bed. “He didn’t see you.”
“No one can unless I allow them to,” Y/N spoke up. “I stopped showing myself when he came here, he startled me a bit. Anyways, go on and eat. Have fun.”
Minghao could see how lonely Y/N actually felt just by the sadness drowning his eyes at the thought of the human leaving him all alone once again. It made Minghao’s heart break. “We can talk again after I come back.”
Y/N’s mood skyrocketed instantly. “I’d like that, yeah.”
———
The rest of Seventeen began to worry more and more about Minghao as the days went on. The singer would spend a lot more time alone in his room than usual and he seemed to prefer staying inside the dorm rather than going out with them. While it wasn’t unusual for Minghao to be introverted at times, this was far worse. Some of the others have even heard him talking to himself in his empty room. When with the others, his eyes would scan the room and there were moments when he would stare off into what they thought was an empty space. Their leader, Seungcheol, was the first one to speak up about Minghao’s odd behavior. It worried him and he asked the others if it did the same to them.
All eleven agreed and Seungcheol thought maybe it would ease their worry if they all spoke with Minghao. The latter entered the living room and his body tensed at the sight of all twelve of his friends scattered around the room. It was highly uncommon to have all of them in the same room at the dorm. Y/N reached out and slipped his hand into Minghao’s, gently squeezing it. As time went on and the two got to know each other, they both began to develop feelings toward the other. Minghao decided he should confess late one night last week and Y/N happily reciprocated.
“Are you okay, Minghao?” Jeonghan was the first one to speak, worry clearly etched onto his face.
“I’m fine,” Minghao tried to discreetly hold onto Y/N’s hand, but Jun managed to notice the way Minghao’s hand looked.
Y/N could almost feel the tension radiating off of his boyfriend’s body and was instantly filled with guilt at the idea that he caused all of this. With a small sigh, Y/N began to materialize in front of everyone. Any wandering eyes quickly fell onto Minghao, making him even more tense.
“Who is that?” Soonyoung asked. Minghao followed his eyes and noticed Soonyoung was looking at the spot where Y/N stood right next to the singer. He turned his attention to Y/N who only nodded to confirm his suspicions.
“His name is Y/N,” Minghao suddenly became all too aware of the hand still held with his own. He noticed a few members had looked down and seen it as well. “He’s my, um, boyfriend.”
“What is he?” Wonwoo asked what had been on everyone else’s mind. Minghao felt some relief wash over him at the lack of reaction to him coming out. Jun was the only one who knew beforehand about him being attracted to men. He knew the others would have no problem with his sexual orientation, but that did not stop the anxious and scared feelings about coming out.
“I’m a ghost,” Y/N piped up as he shifted closer to Minghao. He wanted to know Minghao was still there just as much as he wanted to let the latter know the same about him. “I didn’t want to scare any of you, so I didn’t show myself, but I had to help Minghao.”
“This is why you’ve been spending so much time in your room and talking to yourself?” Jun asked.
“Yeah, it is,” Minghao answered.
“I didn’t expect for this to happen, but it’s better than you going crazy,” Y/N laughed at Jun’s response, a smile growing on Minghao’s face at what he considered to be one of the most amazing sounds he had ever heard. Maybe getting to know them wouldn’t be so bad after all.

How would seventeen members be like in a relationship with a reader that's taller than them?
How would the other members react to meeting the taller one of the relationship?
You are about to find out :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Contains: Male X Male
⚠️Everything is in this fanfic reaction story is made up and this in no way represents the actual people. I made this just for fun⚠️
Genre: Fluff
~Not requested~
A/N: Here you go! Take this, dear reader. I have had this in my drafts forever and I decided to finally write it to the end :D
===============
S.Coups
When he first met you, he was surprised by your height. He knew he was an average height for a man his age, but when he saw you, he actually felt short. He was nearly 180 cm and you were 190 cm. He was amazed by it! When you two started dating, he almost immediately wanted to introduce you to his members. He wanted the members to know about you and treat you well. So you planned a schedule where you went to the dorm they live and S.Coups introduced you to everyone. The most shocked of them all was Mingyu. He knew he was tall, 187cm is more than average, but standing next to you made him question his whole life.
Jeonghan
Jeonghan would be surprised by your height, but won't let the height difference come in between the relationship. He loves you and he wants you to know it. He is known as the Seventeens mother so he knows how to take care of you when needed. The day when he introduced you to the other members was quite hilarious. First of all, they didn't expect Jeonghan to have a relationship. And second of all, they definitely did not expect him to have someone as tall as you. They literally felt like a giant has walked into their living room (Not in a bad way tho, they just thought you were really tall) But they loved you and welcomed you warmly, and Jeonghan was happy about that.
Joshua
He wouldn't mind your height. Of course it was a little weird to see someone so tall, bit he didn't care about it. He only cared about the fact that he loved you. He will always keep you from getting bored. If you even dare to say that you are bored when you are hanging out, he WILL make you do something so you wouldn't be bored. He will make you sing karaoke with him, dance with him, play video or board games (purposefully let you win to see your smile) with him, anything! When the members first met you, they thought that the relationship was cute. Joshua looked so tiny next to your 190 cm tall figure.
Jun
This man would absolutely 'Adore U'! (hehe) He would literally worship you, make an altar for you, sacrifice his soul for you, he would do it all! (/hj) He loves you so much and it is safe to say that you can't get rid of him. He loves you a lot and dearly. When he brought you to seventeens place, the rest of the members needed to process the whole thing. How could Jun score someone like you. You looked like a Greek god with your good looks and height. I'm pretty sure that Jun and the rest of the members made an altar for you together and they all worship you now >:)
Hoshi
He won your heart with his little tiger thingy. The rest of the members didn't believe him at first. How could someone fall for him when he acts like a tiger? Well you did. And the way Hoshi described his boyfriend to the members made them believe him less. Could a 190 cm, good-looking, the most perfect man to ever exist who is scrumptious be together with someone like Hoshi? He had to prove it to them that it is true! So, he one day brought you to the dorms and they were all really shocked by the fact that everything Hoshi had told was true. Next time Hoshi says something, they won't doubt it one bit. (except if he says that he is a tiger. Minghao horanghae-anti)
Wonwoo
He would definitely be surprised when he first saw you. He was a great height compared to his age, but seeing a little bit younger person who was a lot taller than him? He actually fell in love with you. Not just because of your tall figure and good looks, but the fact that you were really kind too. He didn't even tell his members about you. He wanted to keep the relationship a secret. He one day brought you to the dorms, thinking that there was no one else, but they have already come back from wherever they were and he was caught with you when you entered the dorm. S.Coups started to immediately ask questions about you. Wonwoo said that you are his boyfriend and S.Coups couldn't believe it. Wonwoo? Dating? Sounded kinda off but he welcomed you happily to the family :D
Woozi
It didn't take much to be taller than him. He is 166 cm and he had accepted the fact that he won't grow anymore. He is really short and cute, but he wasn't that affectionate. So when the members heard that he was dating, they were really shocked. Woozi, who had always hated physical affection, was dating a 190 cm, good-looking, absolute god? They found it hard to believe, but when Woozi introduced you to them, they couldn't actually believe their eyes. You stood next to Woozi, the height difference being ridiculous, but they thought it was cute and Woozi was happy that they approved and liked you!
Dokyeom
He first met you at a grocery store and he immediately fell for you. You were much taller than him, but he didn't care about it. He had butterflies in his stomach the second he saw you. He's an introvert so he first didn't have any intention of talking to you, but once you left the grocery store and the butterflies stayed, he decided to make a move. You two got to know each other and then got together. He was quick to introduce you to the members because he was absolutely in love with you. The members had a good laugh when DK introduced his boyfriend who was at least 15 cm taller than him. But no matter what they said, DK still loved you more than anything.
Mingyu
It's rare to find someone taller than him. He is very tall to say the least. Mingyu is standing at 187 cm and let me tell you, when he saw you, a 193 cm tall male, he was amazed. He couldn't stop staring at you when you were walking on the street and he decided that he has to talk to you. So he approached you carefully yet firmly and then tapped your shoulder. When he saw your face up close, he couldn't believe his eyes. You looked like a Greek god in the most perfect way ever and he couldn't tear his eyes away from you no matter how hard he tried. Once you two got to know each other better and soon got together, he had to introduce you to the other members. The other members laughed at you and Mingyu, not in a mocking way. It was hilarious for them when Mingyu was already having a hard time to not hit his head on door frames, but you did it at least 3 times. The other members felt very short when standing near you. Even Mingyu himself felt short for the first time in a while.
Minghao
He found you quite adorable when he befriended you. You were a lot taller than him and looked like you could dominate anyone, but in reality, you were the most submissive and innocent person he has ever met. Minghao and you got into a relationship after some time, and he was quite hesitant about announcing the other members about your relationship, because he thought they wouldn't accept him. You convinced him that he has nothing to worry about, and if they don't accept him the way he is, then you will be there for him. So, the day came when he brought you to the dormitories and the other members, surprise surprise, accepted him and your relationship. The others found you adorable too, given the fact that you were even taller than their tallest member, but they didn't mind it that much (except Mingyu whose ego broke because his only personality trait is being tall /j)
Seungkwan
He loves the idea of having a taller partner than him. He is so submissive and likes being under control of anyone, so having a tall, dominant partner who can tower over his small figure really is something that he is looking forward to with you. When he introduces you to his other members, they can't help but to be in awe. They like to see how someone so loud usually can become so shy and quiet around someone, because usually Seungkwan won't shut up about you, but now that he is with you, he gets all shy and quiet when you put a hand over his shoulder or just hug him. Or even look at him. If you give him any form of attention in any way, he will melt, no questions asked.
Vernon
Vernon is an affectionate guy and loves to be near you no matter what. You have always thought that this was normal due y´to you two being close friends, but one day it started to be even more tan that. Vernon would always find ways to be near you or touch you, and you were okay with that, because he was your friend. Soon Vernon confessed his feelings to you and you gladly accepted them. Vernon decided that now that you two are dating, it would be a good time to finally introduce you to the members. He was so excited about it and the other members weren't surprised by the fact that you two are dating, but about the fact that you are so tall. You would almost hit your head on the door frames and you could touch the ceiling. Just barely, but still could. It made Mingyu a bit jealous but he didn't mind it much.
Dino
He was amazed himself too when he realized that he is in fact dating a tall Greek god looking guy. Dino was so happy with you, but a bit hesitant to introduce you to the members, so he decided to introduce them almost one by one. The first one he introduced you to was Jeonghan. He asked Jeonghan to meet him at a cafe and when he arrived, he saw you and Dino sitting next to each other and laughing at some memes. When Dino had you talking to Jeonghan and actually getting to know each other at least a bit, he immediately wanted you to meet the rest of the members. He made sure that you are comfortable with it before actually doing so. Everything went well and they found it adorable that the maknae had a boyfriend. Dino would sometimes bring you to the practice room and teach you how to dance <3

a year ; xu minghao
Tumblr media
• summary: you’ve just started dancing, only been dancing for about a year, but your life and self esteem starts getting to you and you feel horrible about not improving or doing well, so minghao comforts you and teaches you more moves and tricks to get better • pairing: xu minghao x male!reader • word count: 545 • to do
You don’t hear Minghao knock on the door over the loud music playing through the room. He opens it slowly, seeing you repeating the same part of the song you were when he checked on you hours ago. He sighs and closes the door, turning off the music.
You finally notice him and turn around. “Yes? What?”
“You’ve been here all day.” Minghao examines you, noticing your sweat-soaked shirt and hair. “You have the move down, why are you still practicing it?”
“Because it’s not good.” You breathe heavily and lean down. “It needs to be better.”
“It’s not going to get any better if you’re dragging your feet the entire time.” He mumbles as you sit down on the ground. “Get some sleep, some food, a shower, and then you can come back.”
You shake your head, gulping down a full water bottle. “I don’t want to go home until I can perfect this.”
Minghao ignores that and starts getting your stuff together. You track him with your eyes still not moving from your spot. You stand up and he thinks you’re going to leave with him until you start the move again.
He sighs and pulls at his hair, dropping your stuff on the bench. “Fine,”
He walks towards you, leading your arms with his hands. You furrow your eyebrows and take everything in, adjusting when he kicks your feet slightly to move them. He lets your arms go and gestures for you to do it yourself. You do the dance and repeat it when he fixes something else until he seems content with it.
You nod and try to move on to the next part before he grabs your arms.
“Let’s go home.”
“This is nowhere near as good as it should be, I am nowhere near as good as I should be.”
Minghao holds your face in his hands and makes eye contact with you. “You’ve only been dancing for a year and you’re already miles ahead of most people. You’ve been practicing almost daily for a year for at least 6 hours; you deserve a break. The dance is good, you’re an amazing dancer, and you need to give yourself more credit.”
“I need to learn.”
“That’s what you’ve been doing for the last year.” Minghao takes your hand and pulls you towards the door, grabbing your bag along the way. “We’re going home and then, if you still feel this way tomorrow, I’ll help you some more.”
“Fine,” You huff and scrunch your nose up. “I’m sorry.”
Minghao shakes his head and kisses your cheek. “You want to improve, and you feel like you’re at a stalemate, I understand, I just want you to see what I see. Let’s get some food, you can take a shower, and we’ll both get some sleep.”
You nod slowly, laying your head on his shoulder. “Thank you.”
“It’s what I’m here for.” He throws your bag over his shoulder and leads you out of the building, holding you tightly. “If you want, tomorrow, after we wake up, I can message the rest of dance team and they can help you out. Or just me and you.”
“I want some more help from you first before I show anyone else.”
“We’ll practice that tomorrow, then.”

When I saw you, on frozen space, heightened senses
When I only see you, my heart gets jealous of, even my eyes
Those letters rotting away in the back of the locker, despite being written a thousand times, with the same emotion of professing love for the same blonde haired guy, the basketball captain, Xu Minghao. Despite never meeting face to face or rather even bumping into the corridors, he was madly in love with him. Despite his friends encouraging him to go and at least give it a try, he would rather be satisfied by cheering from the bleachers and remaining that unknown boy and dying with his unrequited love. He would be jealous of his teammates, who without any reason could talk to him, could laugh with him, could share movements with him, while he daydreamed about his perfect life he had made with Minghao, which would only turn into reality if he ever got the courage to ask him.
The waves in the deep forest
You're the only one for me
The melody of the guitar
His so called love story led to him writing numerous songs, a hobby he picked on his 7th birthday after being gifted a guitar which till now has been kept in exemplary condition. He would often find himself playing the guitar to a song but would gradually shift to one of his own composed ones written for none other than Minghao himself . He never understood why he was so madly in love with him, maybe that one moment he had with him in 10th grade was sufficient to say. Minghao and him were lab partners, maybe it was for his flirty smile, or the peircing of his ears or rather those lips he badly wanted to kiss, he fell for him right there, just like the acid which fell on his hand. Minghao of course had to take him to the nurse. Before leaving him with the nurse and going to hang with friends, he had asked him if he was okay, to which he genuinely replied that he was, but rather after that moment, he never was and might never be.
It makes me desperately wish again
Zoom into the heavy scent
I'm more afraid that it will get erased in between thе confusing words
Those few moments had led to start with his current obsession. After that meeting, his wish for every holiday, every birthday was for Minghao to be his lover. You could call it love it at first sight. He attended his every match, made sure to cheer only for his team. Call it luck or call it fate, once, after winning the match against the local high school, Minghao threw his jersey, for which he surprisingly was the receiver. He still has that jersey hanged up on his bedroom wall, for him it means the world, more than any celebrity autograph or any test marks could matter. But what ate him inside was that what if Minghao never knew he existed, what if he still remembers him? His biggest fear was unsettled, was it Minghao knowing he existed or rather him not knowing he existed.
Different languages and diffеrent times
You don't have to understand
Password that only the two of us shared in secret
Open up the both of us
Minghao came in as a transfer student from China. In the beginning he could barely form sentences in korean, but now he seemed as efficient as any native speaker. He always had been the model student. Teacher’s favourite , Parent’s pride, everyone’s friend. He always thought that Minghao didn’t need to understand him, his love for him was probably for a term, or maybe an year, it would probably go away. Little did he realise that Minghao was like the password to his heart, a password he can’t ever forget. He was the guy which everyone wanted to be and the guy which every girl wanted, and a guy as well.
All the words that exists in the world,
It's enough for just the two of us to know, with all my desire
With the growing wave of emotion,
You know, there are more important things than words between us, right?
He could never express his love for Minghao, he would always fall short of that perfect word, waiting to sum it up all. With every beat, his heart yearns for those whispers of his affection, his eyes, for his touch, and in his smile, he has found a love that words will always fall short of describing. In silence, his love songs would play, in night, his hopes would twinkle, In blaze, his yearning would be alive. He never needed the warmth, just the existence of his was suffeicient for him.
I don’t understand but I love you
This lifetime would prove to be insufficient for him to have the courage and confess. He could understand Minghao better with every passing second, but even if a moment came, where he never understood him, all that mattered to him were those three words, “ I love you .”
