Bath time

Daryl Dixon x reader

Daryl's early Alexandria era dislike for showers seems to be rubbing off on his kids..

"Oh my god.."

There in front of you stood your two adorable furred children, now entirely a muddy brown. And their father, less muddy brown but for sure in need of clean clothes.

"You." A stern finger pointed at Daryl. "Pups. Bathroom, now." You turned around to open doors and run the water in preperation. "And take your shoes off."

You heard Daryl kick his boots off and huff as he picked up the kids to carry them upstairs.

It wasn't difficult for them to realize where Daryl was taking then and started squirming in his grasp, trying with all their might to escape but in the end they failed and all four of you now stood in the large bathroom.

The shower was already running at a nice temperature to get the clumps of mud out of the kids' fur but it took both of your hands to keep one kid in place, let alone rinse them off and scrub their fur without having them jump out of the tub.

You needed Daryl's help. He was currently standing at the door, making sure no grubby paws grabbed at the handle and ran off, while said grubby hands were grabbing and pulling at his trousers in an attempt to escape.

"Dee, please be a dear and put her in the tub. I need help.." you admitted in defeat as Hunter slipped from your grasp and made it halfway out of the tub before Daryl's large hand had grabbed him and put him back under the shower stream together with his sister.

"Mmaaaaammm..." loud whines filled the room as they both fiercly protested.

Daryl held both pups far enough under the stream so you could rub at the clumps of mud slowly washing away.

Hunter seemed to have given up halfway through so cleaning him wasn't too much of a fuss, until the shampoo came out.

At the sight of the bottle of doggy wash he wormed out of Daryl's grip, who was more focused on keeping the ever feisty Rose under control with just one hand.

Hunter managed to hop up and out of the tub and slip on the edge, dropping his full, soaking wet body onto yours with a loud flop and sending you both to the ground.

"Ohw, come on!" You groaned as you grabbed at his slippery limbs and get yourself upright at the same time, while Daryl watched you with a shit eating grin on his face. "Looks like the lil' momma's boy weren' havin' it no more."

"Could have helped.." you mumbled as you sat your son back into the tub and shuddered at the gross wet shirt stuck to your skin.

When you got no response you looked over to him. Both his hands were on Rose, but he paid no attention to her chewing on his wrist and instead was clearly distracted by the fact you wore nothing underneath the thin, currently very see-through shirt.

"Hello? Assistance?" Struggling to keep Hunter in the tub you snapped Daryl out of his trance before he reached out to hold his son in place again.

A soft thanks was all he got before you got to rub the shampoo through Hunter's fur, making sure none got in his face. It was a huge struggle already with his paws shoving away your hands and his constant shaking, sending soapy water everywhere to the point of even getting Daryl to complain.

"Ya can't wash'em any quicker?"

Your head snapped to his side giving him a death glare before going back to make sure every inch of your son was covered in soapy bubbles and rinse him off again. "In case you forgo-- oh my god.." you spit out the soapy water that got info your mouth as Hunter shook out his fur again while still under the stream. "In case you forgot, I don't have wolf strength." You struggled to put Hunter back on his butt so you could properly rub the remaining shampoo from his fur. Maybe you overdid it a little, but he was so dirty..

"Wha? Ya can't even handle a kid?" A deep sigh left you before repeating yourself.

"No, Daryl." You state clearly. "Little human me can't handle a werewolf child with werewolf strength. Especially not when they're slippery and wet." An understanding grumble left him as he held onto Hunter's fur a bit tighter to keep him still.

His whines of protest only got more over time as Rose was still gnawing at Daryl's wrist that had bled and healed over a couple of times by now already.

Hunter's long drawn Nooo's and Mammaaa's combined with fake sniffles made an almost believable schtick if he hadn't pulled it so many times before.

"You're almost done, sit still for a minute and I'll let you out."

When he realized his tricks werent working he sulked under the water as you got rid of the last bits of soap bafore moving him out from underneath the stream.

The second he stopped feeling water on his head he full-body shook himself out, sending water all over the place.

"Oh thats just rude, baby." The towel you readied for him first went to your face to dry off before grabbing onto Hunter and wrapping him in a tight hug. It was the only way to get him out of the tub and dry him off at least a little bit.

Now that he was out of the tub and no longer a muddy threat you moved on to clean the more feral of your two children.

Daryl luckily had already moved her under the water entirely to remove large clumps while you prepared for shampooing.

With two hands holding her you were a little more confident in a quicker wash this time but wow were you wrong.

Within the first minute she had snapped at you twice.

Daryl only stared proudly at his daughter currently defending herself against the evil soap monster that was her mom. He cooed her a bit, hoping to bargain with some tasty meat as reward she'd be at least a little more calm.

But of course just as you were somewhat comfortable washing off her legs, Hunter threw his full weight into you to dry himself against your back and so shoving you forward enough to get your entire head under the water, soaking your hair.

You pushed back to sit on your heels again, throwing your head back to get your wet hair out of your face before sending an angry glare at your son out of reflex.

He quickly realized he was in the wrong and ran off, grabbing at the doorhandle and escaping the bathroom.

"Fuck.." you groaned as you turned back to cleaning off Rose, who had picked up her brother's moves and let out a laugh as she shook herself out every time your hands left her body.

"I'm taking a shower after this. You babysit and give them a treat or something."

With newly found strength you pulled through and got Rose cleaned in record time, letting Daryl handle the drying while you took off your soaked clothes and hopped into the tub.

You felt Daryl's gaze on you the entire time, complaining as Rose bit his finger when he wasn't watching her.

"Watch your kid." You pointed at her as you stepped over the tub's edge. "You can gawk at me all night long when they're asleep."

An agreeing tone sounded over the running water and a few moments later you finally got the bathroom to yourself, warming up and rinsing the shower walls off in the meantime.

It was times like these when you doubted yourself a bit, being a human raising two pups that could easily overpower you within the year. What if Rose bit you for real? Would she turn you? Can they do that at their age? The bathroom door opening caught you off guard, peeking tour head from behind the curtain you spotted Daryl standing there in clean clothes and with a worried look on his face.

He stepped up to the tub and questioned the sad emotions he was smelling all over the top floor.

You gave him a short version of your doubts as he helped you out of the shower and dried you off. "Yer a strong one, pups love ya." His hands on the towel lingered on your chest longer than needed when he leaned in for a kiss. "They jus' hate showers."

You huff out a laugh at that understatement when the door slammed against the wall and a still slightly damp Hunter clamped around your leg. "Wav momma."

"See?" Daryl gave you a smug 'told ya so' smile.

He easily wrapped you in the large towel and picked you up, careful to not smack Hunter with your foot.

Rose waddled past just as he walked through the doorway. She probably followed her big brother but her wobbly legs made climbing the stairs quite the challenge.

Once in the bedroom you were tossed onto the bed and clothes quickly followed as Daryl dug through the cabinet and threw a full outfit at your head.

You thanked him and got dressed, watching your kids try wrestle eachother to be the first one on the bed until Daryl picked them up and set them down onto the matress.

Without a second to spare the two jumped up against you for cuddles, their dad happily joining as well.

Hi! I’m Gwen. I’m 26, she/her, have a masters in wildlife biology and conservation management, bachelors in biology with minors of English and environmental studies. I have two younger siblings, and 8 pets (5 dogs, 1 rabbit, and 2 cats). I write a lot of fanfiction for the Penguins of Madagascar fandom, but I also write several original things, too.

Tropical Storm

Summary: Martin along Evy and Diego, are newly moving into the San Diego Zoo. However, Martin’s life is unexpectedly rocked when a secret agent accidentally drops a piece of top secret spy equipment among his belongings. Now he’s been recruited by the local espionage squad. Together they keep the zoo safe from assorted enemies, as well as face international threats.

Also planning: Patagonia Penguins which takes place long before this but is connected via being about Martin's parents.

My Baby’s a Werewolf

Summary: Single Dad, Sebastian’s, toddler daughter, Amber, gets bitten by a “big dog” one evening and becomes a little werepup. Now her dad is handling the pressures of being a single dad as well as trying to get his daughter back to normal.

I've infodumped about werepups before and how I waited for years to get a custom one of these from the artist. Never got any updates on the progress and eventually asked for a refund that technically I didn't even get.

Worse yet, I know for a fact that people that ordered after I did got their customs before me. Likely because those were full sized werepups that they only paid half for up front whereas I ordered the type pictured here which was a mini one and I paid full price ($150) upfront so there was no more money to be made off me.

Even fucking worse: I found out that my werepup actually had been made, but since I requested a refund, it was sold to someone else. 🙃 I was never even given a chance to get it. Had I known it was done or close to being done, I would've taken the pup but nope. And even worse yet, that werepup was originally supposed to be in memory of a pet I'd recently lost. So someone out there has a werepup I designed in memory of a beloved pet.

Fuck werepups. They're not technically a scam but they are unreliable and don't deserve the amount of business people give them.

If you can get a werepup second hand like the one here, great! But if you want a brand new werewolf doll, there are lots of werewolf reborn doll kits out now so you can find those for sale.

Just avoid the Robbie kit because that's made by werepups. I think werepups has another kit too now but I don't know what it's called.

Book genre: I LOVE books!! I have a large library in my house filled with all kinds! I don’t really have a favorite genre cause I mostly just care about the characters and the plot. I do prefer non-fiction and I like worlds built around magic and fantasy but like tv, I’m willing to read almost anything! 

Comics/Manga: Ok, manga takes up a large chunk of my library and I have a box of comics in my closet lol. I prefer DC Comics to Marvel and I like Shonen manga. My favorite comic series is actually Empowered by Adam Warren.

Fanfiction genre: One-shots and smuts. I don’t really read fanfictions much. Never on the computer and it hurts my eyes to read that much text on my phone. 

Favorite Authors: Adam Warren, V.C.Andrews, C.S. Lewis, Hiromu Arakawa, and Rumiko Takahashi.

Game Genre: I like fighting games the best! I play Kingdom Hearts, Tales Of series, Monster Prom and a few others I can’t think of xD but I will admit, I’m not the biggest gamer.

Fandoms you are in: Disney is my biggest one. I’m kinda all over the place. It would honestly be easier to ask me if I like something then for me to try and list everything xD I do also really like Ever After High, Monster High, and Harry Potter.

anyway, so would anyone be up for some casual roleplay? I haven't done any in a while, but I'd love to do some laid-back ones now if anyone wants to. gravity falls mostly though.

just like... fluff or crack or memes or whatever. if you're nervous or if you just want to, you can do it on anon as well :). you don't have to worry if you can't reply all the time because it's just gonna be for the heck of it. even if you wait weeks before responding it's no biggie. too many rp's I've done in the past have turned into chores and I'm not doing that anymore.

so anyway maybe we can have some sweet willdip or hurt/comfort billdip. or some cutesy willford or crack billford. maybe some vampire!bill and werewolf!dipper. perhaps some sleepy sibling cuddle piles with pup!bill and cat!will. i'll do most AUs with a few exceptions (just ask if you're not sure), but if you want to go for something not many have done, then I suggest fright falls (which is a slightly angsty, mostly sweet fledgling vamp!mabes and young werepup!dipper au, with newlyhuman!bill thrown in)

Summer Vacation

A My Baby's A Werewolf short, that I thought I posted before but didn’t see it in my tags, so I’m posting it now.

With a long groan, Sebastian dropped his messenger bag and draped himself face down over the couch. "Remind me why I assign final essays and not exams again?"

Cody looked up from his magazine with an amused snort. "Because you’re an English professor? Were they that bad?"

"Not exactly….Just trying to focus on them was brutal."

"You need a break, Seb. When was the last time you got a full night’s sleep anyway?"

"Probably before Evelyn left. You know it’s just been crazy ever since."

"You need a vacation."

Sebastian lifted his head towards him, poking his glasses further up his nose. "Oh yeah? And what am I supposed to do about Amber? Look for hotels that accept pets?"

"I already paid the down payment for us to rent a cabin in the mountains. I picked one in the woods that isn’t close to other neighbors. The three of us will have plenty of privacy and quiet."

"I don’t know, Cody…A cabin in the woods sounds like a setting for a horror story." He sat up and sighed.

"Well, we are bringing our own little monster." He snickered.

"CODY. MY TODDLER IS NOT A MONSTER."

The slightly younger man gave him a very calm, pitiful expression. "Sebastian. Your toddler is a werewolf. By definition, she’s a monster."

"Still, there’s connotation there. Amber isn’t a monster. She’s a…"

"Creature? A little Beas—UMPH!" He grunted as a couch pillow hit him in the face.

Sebastian sighed, shaking his head. "My daughter the werewolf and my brother the troll, what am I going to do with you two?"

"Hey, as your brother it is my birth given right to drive you crazy. Now, the vacation? Is it a yes?"

"I’ll pack my suitcase." He smiled tiredly at him.

Cody jumped up. "No need! Amber and I already packed it and the car, we were just waiting on you."

"Suddenly, this is feeling less like a vacation and more like a kidnapping."

"Now that’s the spirit!" He grabbed his hand and pulled him up. "Go ahead and load up. I’ll grab her." He gave him a nudge towards the door.

"You know, Cody? You may have been on to something with this idea of yours." Sebastian looked over from the novel he was reading, at his younger brother, who was manning a small, charcoal grill.

Cody pointed a spatula in his direction. "I told you. You needed a break."

"I don’t think I was the only one who needed one either." He sighed, looking now at his daughter, rolling around in a clover patch. "Amber seems to really enjoy it out here."

"Seb, she’s a werewolf. Where do you find wolves?"

"In the woods, I know I know." He rolled his eyes at him. "But this is too far of a commute from the college for me to live out here and work there." He paused. "But more frequent small trips I suppose could be managed during the year. It would be more peaceful grading out here than at my office."

Cody nodded, flipping over a steak. "I’ll keep an eye out for somewhere a little closer."

Sebastian nodded as well, returning his attention to the novel in his hands. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose once more and sighed. As much as he loved a good Jules Verne novel, his focus was gone. He needed to relax and take a break, this is true…But it wasn’t getting him any closer to finding a cure for his daughter.

Werewolves weren’t supposed to actually exist, they were folklore…and yet, here was his toddler, a living example that perhaps folklore may be more real than he and other scholars would want to believe. That being said, real or not, his toddler was not supposed to be one. It wouldn’t be safe for her to grow up into a full fledged one, either. As a werepup at least she was manageable….But what about in the future, when she’s grown up? The teen years has enough drama without werewolf secrets in the mix.

Sebastian was then jolted back to reality as something slimey was dropped on his hand. He nearly jumped out of his chair and dropped his book on the ground.

"Daddy! Look! Look, Daddy!" Amber giggled.

"Oh uh…Thank you, Amy, that’s a nice—" and then he looked at his hand. A long, spotted slug now rested on the back of his hand. "….slug. It’s….very spotty?" He faked a smile.

"Uh huh! Mine." She then took the slug back.

Sebastian watched her for a moment before signing deeply. "Here, Amy, let’s return Mr. Slug back to his home then go wash your hands, okay? I’m sure the slug has a family he’d like to go back to."

"Oh, okay." She nodded and offered the slug back to him.

"How about you sit him right here?" He squatted down nearby and patted a patch of grass. His toddler trailed over and plopped the slug right there with the widest smile.

"Good job, now come on. Let’s get you cleaned up for lunch." He chuckled, scooping her up in his arms.

having looked up the avatar reborn dolls because of that post and being blown away i am super curious about other alternative reborn dolls, and where i'd look for others because they're so interesting

i had never seen non human ones before or even known they existed and the creativity and the artistry i saw with the baby yoda and avatar ones is amazing.

i'm honestly super glad i saw the post because looking these up is definitely a bright spot for today

There are a TON of other types of alternative reborn dolls.

I personally own a few vampire ones and I fully intend on getting a werewolf someday but there have been... complications on that front. =/

There's trolls, vampires, werewolves, elves, fairies, aliens, and really just anything you could possibly dream of. Back when I first started in reborns, the selection was pretty limited but there are now so many different types.

I'm not sure of any other places, but I mainly use facebook groups to find these alternative reborns. There are a few groups specifically for them. Here are the names of the two groups I'm in:

Instagram is also a great place for alternative reborns. You can search for the tag #alternativereborndolls and that should be a good starting point.

If anyone plans on getting a doll, I highly suggest avoiding the company "werepups" and the artist Asia Erikson. As I mentioned above, my acquisition of a werewolf themed doll has been complicated namely because I ordered one in 2014 from Asia Erikson and never received it despite paying in advance. It's a much longer story than I plan to go into here but it was a very upsetting experience and I know I'm not alone in it.

Now all that said, if anyone wants any help finding a reputable place to get a fantasy/alternative doll, please feel free to hit me up! I'm not really in the community anymore, but I have a lot of experience that can help folks avoid the mistakes I made when I was starting out. 😅

Six Sentence Tag Game

I was tagged by the lovely @divine-mistake in this fun lil thing where you post six sentences of a WIP. This was difficult for me bc I only have one official fanfic WIP that's actually got stuff written down and is not still in the ideas phase and this one is still very very very much a first draft.

BUT I'm doing it anyway. Here's six sentences from the Eddie Brock fic I have been working on! (I know my grammar sucks pls do not come for me it's a first draft)

She had had a secret deal with him, like the secret deal that she had with the spiders in the building: if they stayed in their corners, stayed out of her space, she would leave them alone, and they could live together in peace. But of course, the spiders could not understand her, and Eddie could not hear her when she whispered to the sky, begging him to stay in his corner of the city.

Though when a spider broke the secret deal, it was met with the bottom of her ratty flip flops. She doubted the same would work with Eddie. There probably wasn't anything she could do or say that would get him to scurry back to wherever the hell he was before, to stop him encroaching on her territory. So maybe the metaphor didn’t work as well as she thought it did; maybe she would be the one crushed instead.
