imo one aspect that seems to be overlooked in discussions about aidan gallagher's fantastic acting is the contrast in five's character between the flashbacks and the present day in s1. sure we all talk about how he so believably plays 58-year-old five that no one doubts it for a second, but in the glimpses of the hargreeves' childhood aidan also manages to convey a much younger, more naive but no less arrogant version of him. his expression when five first gets stuck in the apocalypse, the way he speaks and moves is all markedly different from the current five. aidan was 14 when they started filming, so that younger five was obviously closer to his actual age and possibly easier to act, but the way he switched between those two fives and showed the differences with apparent effortlessness is still incredible and just adds to his overall performance
I desperately wish to know if the Umbrella Academy cast has seen the Hillywood Show’s parody of the Umbrella Academy and what their reaction to it was/is
