a good way to describe your mood aesthetically for the day is whether you would listen to the original of a 1960s rock song or the 1990s indie cover
are you:
wild horses by the rolling stones
or wild horses by the sundays
personality crisis by the new york dolls
or personality crisis by sonic youth
landslide by fleet wood mac
or landslide by the smashing pumpkins

The Sundays // mid 1990s
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"The Sundays were pretty rubbish at being pop stars. No glitzy aspirational image, barely did interviews, low-key videos, and a less-than-showy live show… Only thing is: The Sundays made near-celestial pop music. In a career that never reached its promise, they released only three albums: this, their 1990 debut; 1992’s Blind and Static & Silence five years later. After that, The Sundays simply stopped"

my personal biggest female musical inspirations i love and adore so much <3
also s/o to georgia hubley from yo la tengo, meriel barham from pale saints, rachel goswell from slowdive, seana carmody from swirlies, and bilinda butcher from my bloody valentine cuz even tho they share the spotlight i absolutely adore it when they pop in 🕊
