Thinking about the cages/caged motif in amc's iwtv u_u Louis trying to feed Claudia with broken-winged birds in ep. 5, and Claudia bringing him birds and rats in cages in ep. 6 (and a goat kid). The way they say they dressed Lestat in costumes that made him look confined (and the billowy black shirt he wears when he reveals his monstrosity). When Lestat looks out through a window to Antoinette, and when Louis chases her out of her own home and she stands outside by the window. The scene where the newly-transformed Louis tries to leave the Rue Royale street ("this is your home now, Louis") and the sun burns him through a fenced gate in ep. 2. The tall windows in the present-day penthouse that look like the bars of Louis' cage. The way Lestat surrounds Louis with the circle of his arms the first time he drinks from him in ep.1 (and the way he struggles to free a hand from Louis' grasp). The way Lestat tries to scare Louis from leaving with what could happen to Claudia in ep.5, and the way he justifies dragging Claudia back home with the fear of what could happen to Louis without her in ep.6. The way he breaks open the lock to the dog's cage and then sends it back inside when it's done licking his hand clean. The way Lestat says "I send my love to you, and you send it back round to me," as in a closed circuit, a circulatory system... "His love is a small box he keeps you in" you're so right Claudia...

A report also revealed that action by the Top Court may have resulted in not unveiling the possible connection between the Greek government and the Predator.

I'm curious to know what the Children of the Watch are called in Mando'a.....

Lots of people (understandably) assume they must be related to or synonymous with Death Watch because of the word "watch", but Kyr'tsad, the Mando'a name for DW, actually translates to something more like "death society"— kyr: end, tsad: alliance, group, etc.

It would make sense if COTW have a Mando'a title that includes the tsad root, as that's probably a pretty generic descriptor for any sect/group/faction, and not an indicator that they're related to any other group with a name sharing that common root.

Who knows why or how it came to be translated as "watch" in Basic.... that's a speculation topic for another post

god i remember when i binged adventure time when we had that hbo trial, and i got to the hbo special season ep Distant Lands: Together again, and the whole beginning being so off with finn and jake saying shit they wouldve said 11 years ago with a weird autotune thing ppl were into back then like algebraic, mathematical, shmow, shlamazow, doing his old adventures that people who wanted to view at, but for serious moments, wanted to skip, ice king was kidnapping princesses with finn doing easy jobs, that no one else wants to help him with, and it eventually leads to the image of jake's grave after almost 7 minutes (half the time of the original cartoon's episodes) and then finn realizes he's in the afterlife and this pops
