Every beast he had slain was now a puppet of his string. 

It was a powerful feeling, being able to raise and fell creatures with the rise and fall of your arm. Amusing, almost, seeing them crumble and then attack under his command. 

He liked feeling powerful, he liked being in control. It made it all the more frustrating that he couldn’t control her. He would have to kill her if he wished for such a thing, and then he would have to live without her which was unthinkable. 

He couldn’t control his feelings for her, either, it seemed. They radiated out, pushing past the barriers he desperately tried to erect. Until they too lay crumpled at his feet. He was too weak now, to raise them once more, and he found himself falling just as they had.

But he was falling for her.
