okay, so I first got introduced to fanfiction through wattpad, and in that I think my first fic was Irresistible Poison by rhyssen (it's a drarry fic and OH MY GOD IS IT LIFECHANGING? YES.)

it was Ash Ketchum × Gary Oak from Pokémon lmaoo

HINNY and um, tomarry and drarry. Also, harry × tom × ginny <— that is my ultimate otp.

the entire fic. Just 🤌🏽 it just plucks up all your expected mundane tropes, and throws them out of the window. It builds a masterpiece. (fair warning: read the tags if planning on reading it.)

c1: What trope are you tired of reading? Why?

unrealistically overpowered harry.

alternatively, harry that is sooooo slytherin and dark that all his base characters are just whoosh, gone into the void.

Look, i love slytherin!harry. but going overboard to the point of completely altering his entire character to the point of no existing similarity other than his name- is not my cup of tea. Like yes, harry is powerful indeed, but to a level. Like some fics really be like: "Harry Potter could perform legilimency from 5 years old and killed the grindelwald with a non verbal wandless avada kedevra at age 11." I especially get this SOOO MUCH when searching for powerful!harry fics with tomarry or any other ships. Its like they wash out and weaken all the other powerful characters to put the spotlight on harry. You know whats more powerful? Harry struggling to survive with the other powerful characters against him but emerging out victorious with a crippling fight. That's our Harry. I love his original character, along with all his flaws and tragedies. A few tweaks are invited but soul-transformation? No.

Also while we're at it, the whole Hadrian Potter-Black-Gryffindor-Peverell thing. Like, please no. Maybe my opinions will change in future though, so who cares lmao.

Edit (i remembered this while answering c7): Shipping hermione with absolutely all Male characters in the entire fucking series. (It gets on my nerves.)

c3: Is there anything that makes you nope out of a story?

Yes actually. Loads of things.

1. Bad grammar 2. Above mentioned Harry irks. 3. Strictly bottom Harry, esp it's drarry. 4. Ginny bashing. 5. Severitus

c4: What thing that fandom loves do you actually kind of hate? Why?

Overly sexualising Draco, making him out to be the straight fuckboy. Dramione fics. (I'm sorry but that wizard is anything but straight.)

ALSO, Snape HERO worship and alternatively making him out to be the WORST GUY in the series. (He's a grey character. There's nothing more to him then grey. He's no hero. And he doesn't have the flair of a villain.)

c5: What character that fandom loves are you just kinda “meh” about? Why?

Mrs. Weasley. Snape. (Most people write them in extremities. I don't like extremities. )

(Kinda hermione and Luna, but if written well, I'd be absolutely invested.) I've yet to read more hermione and Luna centric fics honestly, so that's on me.

(I'm not gonna lie, in some fics I've read, they're really well written. Like, in No Glory by ObsidianPen (hermione), Wackspurts Aren't Real, But I Am by merrivale (luna), Hauntingly by ObsidianPen (snape). Mind you they are all side characters in all these fics.)

c6: Is there anything in canon that made you want to quit the show? What was it? Why did you hate it?

HARRY AND HERMIONE ROMANTIC TENSION. GIVING HERMIONE ALL THE SPOTLIGHT. MAKING RON AS THE ANNOYING ATTENTION SEEKING SPOILT COMEDIC RELIEF. CARDBOARDING GINNY.

1. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

I really can't think of anything I'd count as a proper NOTP, in that it causes me any extreme "NOPE" reaction. At worst, I just find things chronically uninteresting!

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?

Gosh, I don't know! Now I think about it, I think I enjoy pretty much all of Tolkien's characters? Even his villains tend to be extremely fun, and at worst I love to hate others.

Bill Ferny, maybe, if only for being that sort of mundane sort of evil you see every day - plus he mistreated poor Bill the pony before Sam got him away. Fuck that guy.

11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

Reiterating my Túrin Defence Squad stance. I'm still just stunned that some people seem to discount the tiny but crucial detail that he's ⚡️ UNDER AN ACTUAL CURSE. ⚡️ Placed upon him by Morgoth, no less! And he tries and tries so hard to do good, and he almost manages it, and it always blows up in his face. How can your heart not go out to him?!

Apart from that, I just love him. That description of how when he's a child, he's a bit moody but cries easily because he's so compassionate. He gives his knife to the disabled old handyman so he can do his woodworking! He kills the asshole bandit leader who was trying to rape that girl and turns the bandit gang into a group of freedom fighters! He pledges his own ransom to Mîm after realising he and his group killed his son. Yeah, he has issues with pride and stubbornness, but underneath all that he's so compassionate and noble. I think it's telling that his main heirloom, and the thing that becomes most emblematic of him, is a helm: a thing meant for protection and defence. I love him.

1. If you had to join a sect, which would you join?

Ahahaha oh, oh no, the difficult question!!! *covers face*

Tbh I would. join the Lan sect and then be like, the most problematic Lan ever to Lan XD (”But James, don’t you have a reflexive fight me!!! response to rules and authority....?” yes maybe so shush now that’s why I said problematic.)

Like the thing is. I DO like being a nerd, and I DO like the idea of cultivating with music certainly moreso than with swords look I do not enjoy physical exertion a lot of the time, and I semi-regularly become full of emotion and start wailing to whoever’s nearby about wanting to live in somewhere as beautiful as the Cloud Recesses??? It is SO lovely there. Also the only other option I was considering, the Jiang, tbh gives me the impression that I would die miserably of humidity in Yunmeng sooooo :/

But also for real I am... a lot more chill with following rules when I agree with them about their purpose being to better you ethically and also to form a cohesive community, and I’ve chosen to adhere to them by my own will? Uhh, demonstrably lmao. Uhhhhh hhhhhhh hahaha ngl I usually feel guilty talking about notps in public??? Probably bc often as not it’s more about “90% of the content I see in the fandom is relatively fluffy and/or mundane and/or lacking in meaty conflict and therefore bores me to tears” oops.

But I will say tbh that I have a pretty visceral unhappy NOPE reaction to LXC/NHS in. Probably 95% of contexts ever. Unless I feel particularly into reading, like, sex-as-self-harm fic on any given day, lmao.

Characters

1. If you could date any character from MDZS, who would you pick?

Lol, none of them.

2. If you had to kill a character, who would you kill?

Save a sex worker or POW, toss JGS off a cliff :) (predictable answer but hey) (I mean, this is distinct from an answer to “who would I kill at a point in the story prior to their actual death,” but. I would be remiss at existing if I didn’t take the opportunity to say I would kill JGS given the slightest excuse.)

Story

1. If you could make one major story change, what change would you make? Why?

Ahhhh, hell. Actually, you know what? I would slightly revamp Qin Su’s character to have her be aware of her parentage since roughly the same time as JGY is, and have them both separately keeping that a secret from one another for roughly the same reasons. She’s disturbed by the letter from Bicao simply because of the implications around someone wanting to make this knowledge public. (On the other hand: she DOES still ask JGY about how Rusong died, and IS still angry and horrified by the attitude he takes to that question and the implication that he was the one who orchestrated that death, because wtf just because his parents were siblings doesn’t mean he should have been anything other than a happy, perfectly loved, alive child??? Get a fucking grip!)

...And then I think. if she does still end up dying* then it’s probably gonna be directly NHS’s fault, in this context? Because “oh okay I was not expecting her to be chill with that, that’s an unpleasant surprise; well I still gotta ruin JGY’s marriage somehow SHRUG”. But on the other hand I really really don’t love all the women dying, so maybe instead he just reveals her complicity publicly and destroys her reputation and turns her into a pariah? :/ Which is still unpleasant but at least isn’t. death.

Anyway the reason why is like. Partially just aesthetic preferences!! I like “morally questionable power couple” much better than I like “evil dude and morally pure innocent victim wife”. (I in fact very much dislike the latter. Looking @ u, late Numenor.) And also partially - I very much like the additional resonance of “JGY underestimates he sweet and kind people around him and doesn’t notice that they can also have sneaky ruthless streaks” that this would add re: Huaisang? While also for that matter foreshadowing the Huaisang reveal?

And, yeah, a lot of other changes I would “like” to make, honestly fall more into the genre of “things I would like as fix-it fics” rather than changes I want to make to the base story, because so many of the pieces I’ve gone “augh but what if that were different!” are just. structurally important to MDZS’s tragic and other thematic elements. Messing with this aspect to Qin Su’s story doesn’t have to make the base plot non-tragic, but does improve on a few issues I have with e.g. morally polarised female characters who all die anyway.

2. Which character would you bring back to life?

!!???!!? when are we talking, here! in what fashion?

....okay, so for the sake of not making my head explode with potential options, I’m going to limit this to cases of characters who are 100% confirmed dead, being brought back either as a fierce corpse or via sacrifice-summon, generally within the main timeline of the story (i.e. not several decades post-canon).

And of that set under those conditions, I’m gonna pick Jiang Yanli. Look. I LOVE the possibilities of fierce corpse!Jiang Yanli. As a scenario it’s both incredibly fucked up but also the possibilities for really emotional reconciliation between all three Yunmeng siblings in the present timeline??? Logistically I think this would have to take place in a bookverse-style “LWJ carries WWX off to the burial mounds post-Nightless City battle” situation... so like, in a fit of practically qi-deviating rage-grief, WWX reanimates JYL’s corpse right as she dies, a la Wen Ning? and then part of what he’s doing, half out of his mind, during the missing time in the Burial Mounds is working on bringing her spiritual consciousness to put back in there.

........there’s definitely more logistics to be worked out, most notably “where is she during the intervening decade?” but. I love the idea of Jiang Cheng’s anger being not only “you killed my sister” but also “YOU TURNED MY SISTER INTO A FUCKING ZOMBIE”. I love the idea of, eventually, her being ACTUALLY PRESENT to express some of her own opinions and feelings on how WWX & JC fighting over her death (& fierce corpse status) is rly fucked up. make them deal with her as an actual person who’s inconvenient in her wants and needs and willingness to always extend a hand to others, not just a place to hang all their messy emotions on! give her eventually a chance to bond with Jin Ling, and the awkwardness and grief about how much of his life she missed, interspersed with “!!!!! I get to have this back! feelings!”

Because also just in general, I’d really love to have her around to interact with all the characters in their fucked-up “one timeskip later” iterations, and her perma-dying really just robs us of that chance and it’s very rude!

Bonus: holy fuck what would it be like for all her talents and skills and weaknesses to suddenly be completely reversed? Extremely physically strong and capable now! But more likely to scare people than charm them. Can she still, like, taste food properly? Who knows. But wouldn’t THAT be a juicy situation to explore for her! :O

{{ I couldn’t figure out which RP blog to stick these on (since I have like. nine), so I figured I’d just skip to the Answering Part over here. =w=

is there a muse that you wish gets more attention? Honestly? Dove. There are a couple of people who've said they love reading about her, and I'm so absolutely eternally delighted for them, too deeply appreciative for words! A couple friends I met via rping her, and a couple friends I met in Certain discord servers, but that's about it anymore. But she's my baby, you know? I love her, she's amazing, and I wish more people took the time to write stories with her, because she just has so much potential! I mean, yeah, for angst of course, but also for healing and comfort, for action and fantasy, for mystical and mundane plots alike. She's so multi-faceted and fascinating to explore, I just... well, maybe it's more selfish in that I need help exploring some of the more mundane stuff with her. Because if it doesn't really Have Relevance to a Particular Plot, I generally won't wind up writing it, let alone publishing it. :P But this answer's already too long; I could rave about Dove for hours! All I'm trying to say is, I wish more people cared about OCs.

if you HAD to choose, who’s your favorite muse? Favorite to RP with? Far and away, Dove! Favorite for crack RPs, Srentha or Leyla. Favorite canon character is a GIGANTIC toss-up between Raven and Lapis. Favorite characters to explore for personal reasons are Ryou Bakura and Blue Diamond, but I have a hard time bringing myself to actually WRITE about them, for some reason...

is there a muse that not a lot of people roleplay with? (Besides the ones I haven't advertised? ^^';;) Maybe Phobia? She has only ever existed in comic canons-- though she WAS in the Teen Titans Go comics too! (The original series, not the... bastardization). Anyways, she's a much lesser-known muse. And my muse for her is wildly unreliable, she's a volatile and abrasive character, and my inspiration for her has run dry for awhile now...

if you HAD to choose, who’s your least favorite muse? Phobia. o_o See above, actually.

which one of your muses have you been playing the longest? Prooobably Dove? She was the one I started rping with, of course!

which one of your muses has the most ships? Ships in their canon, or ships in my rps? Because you're talking to a demigray here; I don't really do romance? But in my stories, Dove has 3 ships (all at different times in her life). In rps, Dove has been kinda-contemplating-it shipped a couple times, but never got to the point of, you know, kissing... and in fandom, Lapis probably has the most.

what is each of your muses’ otps? notps? ~ Dove and Srentha together~ (Don't have notps for them.) ~ Kary: food? sleep? Her canon boyfriend Eric ~ Leyla has a qpp named Toby in the stories. ~ Raven: I'm demonbirds trash. I don't even know how that happened, honestly. (Notps include B|BRae and, while not as strong of a NO in the jlvtt canon, ter/raven.) ~ Lapis Lazuli: OTP with Peridot! Intensely notp with jasper. ~ Blue Diamond: OTP with Yellow hardcore, no notps to speak of. ~ Phobia: Utterly unexplored??? I think she voluntarily abstains. ~ Ryou: OTP with Joey (thank my girlfriend for that one)! Notp with Yami Bakura, it’s absolutely 100% possibly my most violently-disgusted NOtp yet. Also with Diva because... What The Fuck??? But I won't rant about that just now. ~ Jess: I haven't really done much shipping, though Mistress and Trick are a hella canon, deeply bonded breeding couple. ~ Evangeline? Sorta-OTP with my gf's character Taex, though it's not exactly a ~romantic~ dynamic. Notp with Srentha, probably, considering she'd try to kill him, given the chance, and she’s pissed at Dove for marrying him.

why were you drawn to each one of your characters? Okay, listen, you can't just ask something like this and expect an easy answer! I could write an Actual Legitimate Essay on EACH ONE, because I only write a character when I'm Extremely Highkey Personally Emotionally Inspired by them!

Summaries go like this: Dove is brave, complex enough to delve deeply in and constantly discover new facets of, and inspiring enough to create a positive experience while doing so. Srentha is fun, positive, and passionate, and legitimate ADHD representation. Leyla is a chill miracle child of creativity and quiet passion. Raven is the reason I'm still alive and perfectly reflected me at about age 14, so I have a very deep personal connection to her. Kary is so fun to explore because she's my polar opposite, as a temperamental pyrokinetic who revels in chaos and really just wants to have a good time. Evangeline is everything Dove suppresses, brought to life, so she's fun to explore as an extension of Dove! Lapis has a lot of struggles to explore and has done a lot of healing and growth that I'd like to expand on someday. Blue Diamond and Ryou Bakura were basically literally me, so I can explore the trauma and healing from their perspectives in a safe space. And Phobia? I just wanted to put characters' mettle to the test honestly, and see what would happen.

which muse is the most fun to write for? Oh, Srentha, absolutely hands down! Dove does have the best close-friends casual-fun kind of rp relationships, though. And Mistress the Mismagius has this sardonic teasing sense of humor that always makes me smile, especially with Murky (Murkrow).

is there another muse you’ve been thinking of adding or writing for? who? Oh stars, I don't need another one. =w= I've been... struggling to get my Ryou blog actually up and running for a long while now. Nobody new has inspired me lately, but I'm pretty stuck in my fandom ways.

what is something everyone should know about your muses before interacting? I stick it all in their bios! But, let's see... Dove: Even though she's Raven's half-sister, she keeps it DESPERATELY hidden, and nobody IC is supposed to know about that. Srentha is very deeply rooted in Azarathean pacifism and won't do much in battle besides help people retreat. Leyla has her father's heart condition and can't do anything too active. Kary will rarely use her powers, as conjuring even a simple spark stings her scar badly. Lapis is more than her toxic relationship! Blue Diamond is NOT the dictator she once was! Ryou does NOT want the spirit of the millennium ring in his life anymore! Jess just... sticks mostly to Sinnoh and rarely ever leaves. And Evangeline has a palpable evil aura about her; she makes SURE of it.

what’s a weird headcanon you have for each of your muses? Dove hates pie. Srentha loves colorful things. Leyla will cover everything in glitter if you let her. Kary will do anything for some good food and/or a nap. Ryou's hair is untamable. Lapis doesn't guard her gem as carefully as she should. Blue Diamond may be more emotional, but she won't sing about it as frequently as other Gems. Raven... doesn't wear underwear?

which muse has the most aus or verses? I mean, the Lapis I was writing for was 97% canon divergent. Evangeline only exists as her own person (and not merely a partition of Dove's mind) in a DCUO-compatible timeline. But I don't really do aus or verses otherwise; it's just more stressful for me.

can you sort your muses from youngest to oldest? Sorting based on the ages I'll generally play them: Leyla (8-14), Dove (15-25), Kary (18+), Ryou (19+), Srentha (20+), Jess (22+), Phobia (23+), Lapis (5k+), Blue Diamond (10k+).

which muse is most willing to fight another muse? Oh, definitely Kary. (She won't fight Dove or Leyla, even if there's a really good reason. And Srentha has this weird power of defusing her. But anyone else, she can easily be provoked to fight on a dime.) Or maybe Evangeline, who will fight anyone at any time for any reason whatsoever?

do your muses get along with each other? Evangeline gets along with nobody. Dove/Srentha/Leyla are all a very tight-knit family, and Kary considers herself Dove's sister and Leyla's aunt. I've thought about what might happen if Lapis met Blue Diamond, but I don’t have the faintest idea of how that'd go? I did start an RP once where Lapis met Dove, and I planned to have them bond over homesickness and purpose-seeking, but then I lost the ehd I had that prewritten on, and never had the heart to try rewriting it. Ryou and Jess kinda exist in their own universe's bubble. (Jess has a whole cast of Pokemon creature muses she very much gets along with, though~)

would you ship any of your muses together? who? Dove and Srentha are hella-canon endgame already, that's been decided for like 12 years!

for each muse, is there a character you wish had a blog so you could interact with them? You know, I've never really been one much for wishing like that. I do wish Dove had a stable Raven again, since both of my all-time favorite Raven rpers have left the rp circle... but that's about it, really.

have you ever considered making a multimuse/is it easier having a multimuse? I mean, my Pokemon blog has like 19 muses built into the breeding center... 8F But no, I prefer to keep my drafts, rps, and tag systems for each muse on separate sideblogs. Tumblr's tags break WAY too often to shove them all in one place. (And with a sideblog, I don't have to log in and out every time I want to check for replies!)

which muse is the most problematic towards other muses? Toss-up between Phobia and Evangeline, obviously. Blue Diamond is a reformed Gem, the way I play her. (I don't care what anyone says, THAT'S CANON as HELL too!) But Evangeline actively goes out of her way to hurt and/or sacrifice people to her own ends,

which muse is most likely to make new friends? Probably Leyla, though now that SU has sent out a message across the Gem universe that Gems are welcome on Earth, Lapis could wind up meeting quite a lot of new acquaintances. It's much harder to befriend her, though. Srentha has a lot of charismatic energy too, and he’ll go out and make friends with anyone, given the chance.

which muses’ fandom do you like the best? Ahhh, don't make me CHOOSE like that! ;; Fandom like being a fan of them, or fandom like, liking the other people in the fandom? Because Steven Universe, Teen Titans, and YuGiOh all have incredibly special places in my heart, while having Their Issues amongst the fandom... Pokemon seems to be the best mannered fandom though, especially amidst the RP community.

is there someone playing the same muse/s as you and you really look up to them? Ohgosh, well there's a blog called, I think, melancholeyes?, that plays Blue so well, it's like reading canon scenes. I did see a blog that played a Ryou I respected, but I can't remember their name... and of course Larissa and Pix played great Ravens, but each a different version.

which muse do people send the most asks for? Probably Dove, thanks in large part to Caleb!

which muse is most likely to have kids? Leyla is already Dove's kid, so... 8F

is there a rule that someone keeps breaking for your muses? Not to my knowledge, but my rules aren't strict anyways.

can you sort your muses from weakest to strongest? ...Oh, stars. How am I supposed to sort them? Well, let's try this.

Weakest to strongest in combat (based on their style of choice): Ryou, Leyla, Srentha, Phobia, Evangeline, Jess, Kary, Dove, Lapis, Blue Diamond, Raven. ( * i switched raven and blue diamond around SO many times. both are immensely powerful with god-like abilities, but raven can literally destroy reality itself. so...)

Weakest to strongest by strength of heart and character: Phobia, Evangeline, uh... Kary? Srentha...? Uh... frICK THIS ONE'S HARD. Because they're all so strong in their own ways. Probably Leyla? Next tier is probably Blue, Lapis, and Jess, and Dove, Raven, and Ryou are highest tier.

which muse are you considering deleting? Phobia, and maybe sometimes Blue. (I actually... never got a single RP or follower on Blue. I'm still debating if I really WANT to rp as her, at least on Tumblr, knowing how toxic the fandom can get around the Diamonds...)

most importantly, are you having fun playing each one of your muses? Pretty much! Especially Dove, Srentha, Leyla, and Raven!~ Raven's wit and clipped verbiage can be tricky to for me sometimes, but all it takes is a little tlc on her dialogue, and it doesn't slow down my enjoyment one bit. :} And when I'm in a Pokemon-hyperfocus mood, writing the Pokemon team is ALWAYS a blast! (Especially the Pokemon; their personalities are so dynamic together.) With muses like Lapis and Blue, and even Kary, the mood for their emotionality waxes and wanes, but I don't write for them unless I'm in The Right Frame of Mind to KEEP UP with them, you know? I never push myself in an rp until it's not fun anymore; at least I know where my writing burnout limits are.

Phobia and Evangeline are both sadistic, and when you're a compassionate person, that can be very hard to write out in the painstaking detail of my style. But sometimes my mind just Won't Shut UP about 'Vangie unless I WRITE IT OUT. Which is a good exercise of course, stretching my horizons and all that, and I do love writing the drama and conflict they stir up.

But beyond the momentary discomforts, I'm just so eager to explore their lives and minds and adventures, so yes, I absolutely DO have fun writing for each and every one!

Sexuality Headcanon: Imho, he’d be that kind of asshat who’d call himself “sapiosexual”, which is of course conceited garbage - I headcanon him as gay. Very aro, but not ace. All of that is bit hard to say with absolute certainty though because Ford doesn’t actually have much sexual intercourse with actual human people in his life (he has no time for socializing and people in general, and so much more ~important~ things to do), but I do headcanon him having an active sex drive and him being kinky af. Just someone pull his hair and make him beg. He needs that. WHILE WE’RE AT IT Ford is a monsterfucker who would (and did) do the fricklefrackle with cryptids and triangles and extradimensional beings and the like.Gender Headcanon: Cis male.A ship I have with said character: As much as Ford annoys me, Ford is way too much fun to ship with literally everyone. Fiddleford/Ford owns my soul, and Bill/Ford owns my thirst.A BROTP I have with said character: Stan and Ford - that development! That co-dependency! That depth of the denial, and it all crumbling in the end, revealing that Ford just cut the person out of his life that he ironically loved and needed most! I really am emotional about them reconnecting, awkwardly, and Ford appreciating the hell out of Stan. But to quote @krokorobin, I’m also “here for exploring the more dysfunctional aspects of the relationship between Stan and Ford.” Also Ford and Dipper. In a way where I really want to explore Dipper getting less blinded by his admiration and seeing Ford’s flaws more clearly over time, them getting along extremely well still but Dipper being able to call out Ford and judge him for his bullshit at times. AND FIDDS AND FORD OF COURSE. Their friendship made me clutch my heart several times, and it was beautiful, until Ford ruined that thoroughly. As he does with everything. But them reuniting post-finale is important to me, if only for the sake of Fidds - as friends only though, there’s too much baggage in this relationship for them to make out again, and Fiddleford is not gonna be here for that anymore.A NOTP I have with said character: I KIND OF HIGHKEY THINK THAT NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TOGETHER WITH CERTIFIED LIFE RUINER FORD (except for Bill :D) but. I still ship most things because I’m weak for drama and rocky relationships. I guess Ford/any woman is just not working in my head at all, it’s too much for my suspension of disbeliefA random headcanon: The dimension hopping adventurer was actually what he wanted to be deep down all his life. Also a lot of the scars he has are not even adventuring scars, but more mundane lab accidents because he’s terrible at lab safety, and marks Bill left on him. There’s a triangle shaped burn mark that won’t quite fade right below his ribcage, and Ford will never tell anyone how that got there, and just wear his turtleneck of shame forever.General Opinion over said character: I rarely encountered a character that honest to god made me so mad I had to put the Journal down and fume silently, and also rant for hours. Ford’s mistakes directly make characters miserable that I love deeply, and boy, his entire self-righteous asshattery at the expense of the people that love him despite of it is just so *clenches fist* Frustrating. And punchable. BUT I think I barely ever encountered a character like this that is honestly pissing me off while also being very well written and being called out by the narrative for their douchebaggery and their flaws. There’s development, and the narrative is not unproportionally sympathetic towards Ford. That makes all the difference to me. So I can actually enjoy hating him and also lovehim for the frustrating jerk he is! And I do love him for the absolute delight a character like that is to play with in fanwork - most of all, I appreciate a character where I can full-heartedly indulge in seeing them get rekt in fanwork I’m not even joking, that is important to me.

Sexuality Headcanon: He doesn’t give a shit? Not as in he does not care about sex, but like, about gender and that whole fleshbag business. Bill’s here for everything that is funky and fresh and twisted and not boring - and he is intrigued by human experiences, so sex is definitely among potentially interesting things. I definitely think he’d be here for ppl getting off on worshipping him etc, but mostly and first and foremost he’s into messing with people, and sex is one way to do that. More than actual sexual pleasure, he’s a sucker for pain, because obviously, pain is intense and hilarious. He doesn’t actually experience sexual arousal (or even pain in the way a human does) when he’s not possessing a body though. Face Claim: Matthew Clavane Puberty has relaxed Kyle’s once tightly knit curls into loose ringlets, that either drape to the nape of his neck, or they get tied up into a messy man bun. His eyes are a hazel green, though more on the brown side; the green is usually not that noticeable unless seen in bright light, or being close enough to get a good look at his eyes in general. He has a few light freckles that do appear during the summer months if South Park is lucky enough to receive some sun, but he tries to avoid this by plastering on a lot of sunscreen, lest he burn.

He still maintains all of his canonical scars from the show, the most obvious of those being the tiny faint outlines around the corners of his mouth from the Human CentiPad. His diabetes has put him in rather poor health, making Kyle quite thin, but relatively lean. He isn’t that tall, either, after the damaging surgery to his knees in his youth that stunted a bit of his growth, causing him to be stuck at the short stand of 5’7’’.

CHARACTER HISTORY:

Kyle is somewhat aware of his power, though in denial about it. He’s displayed some ability with telekinesis in past episodes of the show, though he contributes those memories to the severe trauma he went through in his youth. Sometimes in the height of emotions, things will randomly fall off his shelf, though again he doesn’t try and attribute it to anything supernatural; the thought terrifies him deep down. He’s been hospitalised after a rather serious diabetic attack during middle school, where his health began taking a rather extreme turn for the whist for a little over a month – he’s more or less recovered, but it’s taken a lot of mental impact on the redhead as a result.

After reaching high school, Kyle began drifting from his usual set of friends and began to engage with more like-minded people who not only shared his classes, but also interests; he’s not as close to the main four as he used to be, as a circumstance of high school pulling them apart. He does miss being able to hang around with Stan especially, though now finds himself within the company of people such as Tweek, Craig, or Wendy.

In terms of family, Sheila has been very overbearing and protective of Kyle since his health scare in middle school; he resents it, despite understanding her concern. As a result he has very rarely been to many high school parties, or really participated much in typical teenage activity – it took Sheila a lot of convincing just for her to allow Kyle to get a part-time job so he could save up some extra money for college. It’s had a profound effect on social experiences as a result.

Being under a lot of stress from trying to maintain his GPA and keep his life in a healthy balance, Kyle generally doesn’t have much patience for bullshit these days. While he’s still prone to bouts of emotionally fuelled anger, a lot of his aggression tends to spill out in sarcastic venom, as he has very little energy to spare now he’s in his senior year.

There is a underlying longing of wanting to break out of his long-standing routine, and the desire for something wild and unpredictable to happen to him, or the town, similar to how it was when he was a kid. Even through the trauma of some of the events, no one really gets comfortable in a normal, mundane life – not even Kyle Broflovski. However, the anxiety and desperate need to constantly be in control has been too overwhelming for him to just let go, and live in the moment as of yet.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:

There had to be some sort of bitter irony in working at a natural medicine store; at least, worryingly ironic. The amount of people who bustled into the shop on a day to day basis demanding all sorts of plants and herbs for their natural remedies alarmed the redhead. Alas, he still found himself biting back the urge to blurt out how utterly stupid these new age health theorists were in wasting their cash on a load of bullshit, when their health insurance could probably cover actual medication to help with their backaches.

Yet, he needed the job. Okay, he didn’t need the job, but it was a refreshing break away from the confines of the four dismal walls of his childhood room in the after hours of the school week; a break from the sting of his mother’s piercing wail, and nostril flaring dragon breath. It was worth forcing an overly friendly smile to customers who would idly praise the concoctions and potioncraft over actual medical assistance. Actual. Medical. Resistance. Kyle had never been too good at biting his tongue, but if he forced himself to keep up the reputable customer service appearance, he was pretty certain he’d end up chewing right through the tongue muscle and swallowing his silence.

At least he was able to refill his cup with endless amounts of coffee through the day.

“I asked for a medium to fine grind of the lavender, sir. This is a fine grind, so I’d appreciate a refund, or for you to do it again.” A middle-aged woman with a rather thick city accent complained, holding up her bag of what might as well have been fairydust to Kyle. He’d been in the middle of climbing up the rather unstable wooden ladder to place a different jar back into its resting place, and paused midway. This lady – she always insisted on coming here, and every time she had something to complain about.

With slow steps, the redhead returned back to ground level and approached the front desk with a pained grimace forced upon his lips. “I’m so sorry to hear that. Do you want the refund or the–”

“Ugh. It’s you again. Every time you grind up my herbs, you do it wrong.” She interrupted with a flustered expression, and slammed her cheaply manicured hands down onto the desk. “I’d like to speak to your supervisor instead. You’re messing with my energy…”

Breathe, Kyle. Breathe.Anger bubbled inside him the longer she continued to drabble on, and he dug his nails into the underside of the desk in an attempt to try and release the frustration. The customer was always right. Apparently. Or, whatever they had to be. More like this customer was always a right bitch.

“…and I don’t think some sort of teenage hipster should be bandwagoning on such a sacred method of religion–”

Something snapped in the back of Kyle’s head – yet before he could hurl any verbal abuse her way, something else hurled straight at her instead – the lukewarm remains of Kyle’s half empty coffee mug he’d left on the counter from the start of his shift. Now, the cup was teetering at the edge of the table with the threat of cascading the floor below, and the lady stood there with a gape in her mouth, and drenched in espresso. At least the lavender was fine.

Though, how on earth did the cup manage to douse her in its contents?
