Round one
Skid Row
Formed in: 1986
Genres: Heavy metal
Lineup: Sebastian Bach- vocals
Dave Sabo- guitar
Scotti Hill- guitar
Rachel Bolan- bass
Rob Affuso (drums)
Albums from the 80s:
Skid Row (1989)
Propaganda: What can I even say? This band went HARD. Dave Sabo is a beast of a guitar player, Rachel Bolan is so pretty it's not fair and Sebastian with that face and those pipes. In a Darkened Room still gives me chills every time I hear it. I just love them.
The Bangles
Formed in: 1980
Genres: pop-rock
Lineup: Susanna Hoffs- guitar and vocals
Vicki Peterson- guitar and vocals
Debbi Peterson- drums and vocals
Michael Steele- bass and vocals
Albums from the 80s: All Over the Place (1984)
Different Light (1986)
Everything (1988)
Propaganda: An all girl band making just the perfect music to cheer you up on a bad day. Look at these women. They are all just so incredibly gorgeous. Also, today I learned that the iconic close up shot of Susanna Hoffs looking side to side in the Walk Like An Egyptian video was actually her looking to her bandmates for reassurance because she was getting nerves on stage and I think that fact may have just cured my imposter syndrome.

but… but bradley whitford is so hot tho???
he IS. but he's hot in that great way PEOPLE are allowed to be, where their charm and how they speak and how they hold themselves etc etc is able to all come together in this amazing package that we can't deny. but i feel like these days most actors (especially in network tv procedural-esque shows) all have the same blandly forgettable in-your-face obvious good looks. way less interesting or compelling.

sometimes i think about how the last petelgeuse body was 35 (yes) but looked old due to, well, petelgeuse. and then I think about how theresia was around 50 when she died and yet as a zombie she looked 20. and then primal rage fills my body and i can throw chairs with the power of my mind.
