related ramble: genuinely if the part of decked out that appeals to you is "incremental progress in which the players must learn the map bit by little bit and also understand when to turn around and bail to learn more of the map later in another run", you don't mind games that are hard, and you like rpgs. please play etrian odyssey. please they're such good games and no one ever talks about them. please,

kingdom hearts gets such a bad rep for being overly complicated or hard to follow but its REALLY not that bad. ppl have to realise:
anyone who's like "theres SOO many games" and shows a too huge list is misleading. there are a lot of rereleases and repackages under special titles but when you look at the actual games it isnt that many
90% of disney involvement can be ignored, just think of it like "themes" for the different levels
that being said, it DOES operate on disney magic logic. epic and magical things happen because they just do. don't try to overthink the magic mechanics you'll frustrate yourself. (i think this is where most of the "it doesnt make sense" comes from)
there really isnt much retconning. i can only really think of one really minor one. sometimes the writing can be sloppy but this doesnt make it more difficult to understand unless u nitpick it
yeah it definitely CAN be complicated, theres a huge cast of characters and it takes place over a long period of time, but it isnt impossible to follow, just pay attention and its fine

hi! this isn't important this is just an update on my arting.
so recently my friend told me that a 3d modeling software that is(on my terms) expensive actually had a smaller free version. so I had to check it out!... it was fine! there are many limitations, but in the end I couldn't complain cause it's all I got. my computer is so old that now not even blender works.
so yea, I wanted to practice 3d sculpting again! it was cool. once I got comfortable I decided that I would try something fun and try to sculpt a demony Sebastian :D my computer died and I lost it all :D and I thought about doing grelle but long hair and glasses without adding new shapes is just hard. so on my last straw, this is my first sculpt😧
it's fine. I wanted to paint it though, and I couldn't do that on the program. I spent maybe an hour trying to find a model painting software, and it didn't work. in the end I gave up and just painted over the image, so that's that!
at first I was proud that I managed to make him look like a poor quality mobile game character cause that seems appropriate for my skill level. but now as I'm staring at it I'm scared he's gonna suddenly do some weird emote and now it's ruined. oh well, thanks if you read this, have a good day!

I'm imagining Danny working as the rubber duck for Mike/Max/Vanessa, content to sit and hold whatever they need and listen as they work out an issue. Gregory does the same thing except he swerves them off-topic by asking what this thing does, what about this...learning the entire robotics system with the curiosity that every kid has.
This is mostly why Glambear and Freddy have to Gregory-sit on some days. (He finds the term 'baby' offensive. Like, child.) Vanessa is patient and the best at herding Gregory verbally, to their surprise. Mike will happily go on a tangent and then get confused and lost and needs to call Mari in to help him puzzle shit out. Bonnie's on the table like "I would LOVE to be able to blink my right eye again, Dr. Frankenstein! Hurry it up, bub!"

I randomly remembered this and couldn’t stop thinking about it, so happy reminder/if you didn’t know, in Bowser’s Inside Story there’s a certain part where you have to cross an area by hanging off this zipline sort of thing, and if you have Luigi hang onto Mario he just takes the moment to hug and snuggle onto him for a bit

also im almost finished with cob and i hate to say it but isabelle truly does not even have a single shred of personality in this book beyond "she's hot and she loves her brother". she's literally just here for other characters to talk to or have opinions on if she were replaced by a sexy lamp with a sexy whip glued to it we would not in fact notice the difference i fear

I may be stupid, BUT with the fact that Guts so blatantly does not care about Casca (focusing on his sword) recently and then immediately thinking of Neo?Griffith (with that weirdly, human expression), could Schierke be really realize that there is A LOT more going on with Guts and Griffith? Could Schierke be a fellow GriffGuts truther?!?! I jest, but I'm wondering your interpretations on this.
lol that would be fun. But I don't think it's really likely - she's already seen Griffith as Guts' most bright and shining memory, so she should already be aware that there's some serious complicated history there. Then she saw Casca's perspective on everything, including her jealousy of Guts lol, so she should have that info too. After everything she's already seen I don't think this latest glimpse really reveals anything new and exciting for her.
Though honestly it's kind of weird that we have a character who knows Guts' backstory with this incarnated god that she was already aware was bad news from her witchy perspective, and who indirectly murdered her mentor, and we've never seen her like... acknowledge that lol? Never seen her thoughts on Guts and Griffith having a big complicated homoerotic backstory? It's a little conspicuous in its absence imo.

psmd had a lot of weird writing decisions but man. i still dont know how anyone could claim it “killed the franchise” (gets this less than gti but still) or is easily the worst one. i think all the pmd games are great at minimum tbf but it feels weird to just write off psmd bc its a 3ds game
