what made you think of writing those two together? you have their personalities down so distinctly but I never realized how similar their brains seem to be motivated. it is perfection! hope you're doing well love 🥰🥰

For @the-slumberparty challenge, one of the tropes that generated that I hadn't written before was truth serum. I wanted to do something slightly different while still having my "touch". My mind drifted between Max and Nick in terms of who to use it on. Max is a con man and lying is what he does. Nick goes undercover for the CIA and his covers are often built on lies. What they do brings a rush of excitement and adrenaline. They're also determined, motivated men and sometimes people in their path get hurt.

So though they're different in ways, they're also a lot alike and writing them together felt natural. I'd love to explore more of the dynamic between the three of them, the reader and Max, the reader and Nick, and even Max and Nick with their frenemy friendship status.
