general:

the sides work with a kind of cartoon logic (kinda like who framed Roger rabbit) which is what their shape shifting and such is, they can survive pretty much everything, dont bend to reality type thing

i also dig playing around with the idea that they just arent human, they dont need to eat, sleep, even breathe or blink if they dont wanna. They just play more human around thomas so they dont freak him out (everyone but remus at least, dude doesnt give a fuck lol) they all have their priorities regarding that kinda stuff. like logan doesnt eat or sleep almost at all (there r exceptions tho obvi (crofters))  while patton rly likes to cook and bake so why not eat the stuff you make? meanwhile remus eats literally anything he can find

they can also float if they wanna, same thing where they just dont around thomas. this came about me just imagining remus consistently floating around in the mindscape instead of walking for whatever reason? so yeah they can do that

theres a core mindscape and a ‘dark’ mindscape, that sorta works like the upside down from stranger things (as in the dark mindscape is like literally upside down and mirrors everything, like this)

everyones also got their own unique doors to their rooms. logans is very sleek and modern, pattons in more childlike and almost vintage, romans resemble castle doors while remus’ is more like a dungeons, virgils is typically angsty teenager with tons of posters and ‘keep out’ signs, and janus has tons of locks on his

design wise the core sides have straight teeth and fluffier hair while the dark sides have sharp teeth and rougher(?) hair (since changing, virgil has vampire-esque fangs)

logan:

square rimmed glasses

loves the rain

unintentionally fidgets with his clothes, always adjusting his glasses or rolling his sleeves up and down or messing with the buttons or his tie

playing more into the whole ‘sides dont have to eat thing’ he finds food kinda nasty lol, again only rly eats stuff thats very good to him (ultimate picky eater basically) patton has tried and failed many times to get logan to try and like new foods

roman was the one who got him to try crofters

watches those long ass video essays about random topics on youtube for background noise

patton:

has roller blades/skates! specifically these ones that retract the wheels. good way of getting energy out (even if hes super clumsy with them)

virgil:

decently tall but slouches a lot which hides it (slouching hes shorter than the twins but still taller than janus) also rarely stands or sits straight at all so it kinda shocked the core sides when he showed them how tall he rly was (queue roman being mad cuz hes actually the shortest of the main four lol)

has stereotypical emo hair and still has some purple dye in it

hot topic skeleton fingerless gloves and muddy sneakers (idk why it just feels right)

tons of random bruises

draws his nails black with sharpie

listens to metal music to calm down. remus got him into a lot of numetal, screamo kinda music when virgil was still one of the others, it was one of the few times theyd hang out and virgil wasnt 100% freaked out by remus

constantly coming up with proper plans and schemes, typically wouldnt let remus near them with a 10 foot pole (affectionately)

enjoys all the ‘bad’ disney/pixar movies. (cars, home on the range, etc) and like unironically enjoys them. prolly started ironically to mess with roman but he genuinely find those ones the best and cant fathom why theyre disliked (totally not self-indulgent cuz some of those movies are my favorites)

comes up with random weird plans and ropes janus into them whenever possible, janus plays along best he can

somewhat wants to fuse back with roman (even if hes unsure why)

an: hi guys! im back hopefully for long and just wanna say that this is something that didnt take me long to write because i wanted it to be kinda short for my little return!🤭

summary: jack is ranting to you about his problems and your trying your best to help him not wanting him to give up on anything.

jack had just got home from the studio, his eyes were baggy and his hair was messy.

you were sitting on the sofa waiting for jack, even though it was two in the morning.

“jack hun you look tired…”

“just a little, lets go to bed” jack didnt wait for a response and he started walking upstairs and heading to the bedroom while you followed behind

at first, jack didnt even bother taking off his clothes, being to tired to even more after he sat on the bed “jack hun.. i know you’re tired but you need to undress” you say taking off his jacket

jack groans but eventually start undressing, he keeps on his wife-beater and boxers on and lays down

you pull him on top of you, his head resting on your chest as you scratch his scalp lightly

the next morning when you woke up, jack was already getting ready to go to the studio

“jack.. your overworked, stay home”

“i cant—im on a high right now! my new song just got higher then first class, everyone’s still expecting me to make new music and i cant take any days off, not right now at least maybe in a few weeks”

Oh my- looks like we pulled a new curious person off the peeps!

(CnB) Coffee N' Bombs - Brewing Romance AU is an inspiration from the first full episode in the SMG4 Channel called "SMG4: SMG3'S BOMB CAFE"

I really liked the whole model and details from the inside and outside of Three's new Cafe and at first I've been picturing about Smg4 working there- but nahh he just worked there once its not like theres gonna be an au abou-

I came in tumblr a few months back and some anon asked me what kind of design SMG4's attire would be since he works as a waitress from Three's coffee n bombs.

For a second my mind went blank of what the uniform would look like so- I gave myself on and on about some few details getting inspired by watching some other episodes of SMG4's

So then- I made the hat and I thought of something that reminded me about- a reversible color!

(A few years back I bought this octopus which was cute and then I figured it was reversible by looking underneath and putting the detail here- I was like- ah Liz you're gonna make it look so special!)

Straight in to detail that the fabric used from this hat is silk, with polkadots! And it was made by Three :>

For the pride pins I also thought of- "hey- this is a crazy idea but what if I also created a pride pin next to his apron. But instead it's a bomb than just a regular circular pin." Then there represents Four having the bi bomb flag :)

The Apron is specifically made by me on which where its all gotta be purple themed since it is his cafe and everything is purple and purple to a color black!

For the shoes tho- I might've gave myself a try to say it's one of those glow in the dark classic shoes- glow in the dark has been my favorite types of stuff to look on or even paint, the nostalgic vibe of being a small kid having fun observing and using glow in the dark (bracelets) for example- is like a funny thing and a classic thing to have.

Then that calls for it. "Heck why not?"

Theres the bomb logo and also the spilled coffee logo, it was designed by our man Three to himself.

It feels sort of childish to put in when four complains about glow in the dark having it as a childish thing- good thing three back fires in about his shoes having wheels XD (it might seem to be for kids but its all for ages and above ^^)

The gloves were designed for funziez and making it feels like getting sent back on the themed black and white (sia or melanie martinez the hair color or if you fancy it enough going back to the earliest movies that has black and white colors)

Even putting on a aymbol of "S.U.L." on the back of the gloves and Four's "IV" roman numeral signature on the palm of his gloves.

And even for the tiniest detail from his hairtie having the color of red and his slit pants on the ends. (Also including the part of the three-beaned pin that only four made it special for him and three only)

This inspired so much from the design that my followers or other people had want to try it out!

Then coming upon the reply from @shygirl4991 therefore the AU was born/created, they thought about wanting to write about this cafe au and I let them in for ideas and for writing the fic. :D

Story:

You know I’ve been all over the internet and I’m on tiktok because spending a humiliating amount of time looking at food online is my only hobby. But as of late witchtok took me back into its clutches. Now I don’t consider myself a witch: im a chaos magician but to each their own with their titles. The shocking combination of “tinned fishtok” aka rich people trying to appropriate and raise the value of my beloved canned fish. Along with the constant argument between practitioners of morals or karma or what have you. But I am about to end this whole debate. Yes; an no. Listen we live in a world where nothing is real yet everything is real at the same time. Our paradigms are shaped differently and are unique based upon our lives and experiences. Everyones moral code will be different. No you probably won’t change anyones mind by yelling at them on the internet. The other thing to look at is not every intention is going to be 100% good all the time and not every intention can be 100% bad. The words themselves good and bad are also subjective. While I think it’s admirable that some practitioners want to dedicate themselves to the “good” theres more than good out there. And what happens if your suppressed “bad” feelings come out in a negative way? So here it is; nothing is real and everything is real all at once. Thats why so many people who you would think would have similar practices have very different ones because the way magic looks and manifests to them depends on their reality which is different from their peers or yours. Anyways thats my rant I hope you come around for a rant/story/ reading another time I love that so many of you like my readings. (:

Trying to understand the twins.

As an elder and younger sibling I have deep sympathy for the Yugi Twins, the idea of murdering your own siblings, espically your younger sibling is gut wretching I cannot imagine how it went down but that's for another post. Let's first dicuss the brothers relationship from what we know, theorize, assume, and peice together. Red House Arc

Due to being twins, Amane and Tsukasa are basically always together, both seem from this enjoy eachothers time and care about eachother very much. Amane however did seem to still have more matruity even at four, that doesn't mean he didn't engage though.

When going to his brother about his wish, Tsukasa wants to try it again, Amane listens and Tsukasa pursues this. This god under their house needs to be tested! Once again though Amane is bed ridden. Not able to play with his brother, however right now it seems to not be a concern. Amane suggests a book he wants, and that's when things begin for Tsukasa being a wish giver. After a chat with this "god" he starts trading for more and more gifts for his brother. As the days pass he continues to trade, a wish comes with a price yes and what is this "price". Well..

A life, a soul, a price.

Sound familar? Well when the day comes when Amane says those fate words "If I could just be like you Tsukasa, I wouldnt ask for anything ever again..." What Tsu believes is he hates him, that being his takeaway he uses his gulit to give Amane his only wish.

To live. It wasn't only Amane's wish but both of theirs, to live to be happy, but Tsukasa traded himself for his brother.

And I think well enough Amane regrets the words he told his brother. Why do I think this well y'know the black eyes the twins often manage to do in creepy scenes.

Amanes are associated with negative emotions I'd say.

Anger, seriousness, (denial), shock, fear. His firstinstance of using them eyes, was a child. Tsukasa isn't in his room...

Where's his brother? This is where we leave off in the earliest part of the childhood of the Yugi Twins. Afterword Tsukasa IS found, but we don't have enough information about their latter relationship. Theres a few things though-! The festival arc.

Now this IS the fake Tsukasa, however it could just be the fact Tsukasa is very very into katanuki. Maybe too much, Amane doesn't want to bother him so he doesn't drag him away.

There is the chance they had been playing during the festival, and Tsu got distracted. Omen is the newest arc with possibly being FINALLY some information on their relationship. We don't really know 100% how Tsu actually treated Amane after he returned home. I can get a idea though..Possibly they slowly drifted apart. It's not impossible for siblings to not hangout anymore, a conflict a large shift in your life can do that. I think this is what happened. Why? Well one I'm not using Picture Prefect yet- because it isn't really what we could say an accurate depiction of them. These are the spirits playing a role in a story in PP.

Because Tsukasa in Omen's flashback, and Tsukasa in Picture Perfect act completely different. Tsukasa in Omen is more calm from what we see, he's not as jumpy maybe and then with PP well-

Dramatic entrances as always Tsukasa. But he's much much more jumpy like he is as a supernatrual.

Which in all honesty had me cackling a little- bro jumped the moment Amane even spoke. But this is where it gets interesting, in Hell of Mirrors, Hanako says he'll be taking No. 3s seat back

And IMMEDITALLY Tsukasa goes anime villian on their asses.

Just a moment ago he was hugging and squeezing the Seventh Mystery, at the worst time he did the same with Mistuba!

So thats the question he goes from one mood to the next which could mean the real "Tsukasa" is still there. Maybe when he traded his soul? Hes' still in there but now he's been twisted into some far worse. Much. Much. Worse. Amane still loves his brother, he isn't able to fight back a lot because Tsu always has another card up his sleeve, Tsukasa is very very smart, even if at first it may not be the case... He can get into his head.

"I love Amane" can hurt. Tsu knows this he knows he can break him. Amane has lost it on his brother, he's trying to not screw up again, and even when he tries to stand up, Tsu has the strongest weapon of all words. This fake verison of distortion of Tsukasa Yugi still has love but it's more disturbing and twisted. Curiousity killed the cat. To add not only does Hanako even comfirm that's he's afraid of his brother, but we also know, Tsu is most important thing in the world to him. His yorishiro, it gives the user power, and it's like a battery, destory it you lose your power, you lose everything. Tsukasa is Amane's everything. Maybe it's the same for Tsukasa, because it was. If this was a switch up where Tsukasa was the Seventh Mystery Amane definetly would be his yorishrio. I realize this became a completetly different rant damn okay fuck uh..BYE??

YESSSS!!!!!! okie so i need to start off my saying that i have been growing my fish collection for years and thats why i have so many im not like mega rich. also my dad pays for some of them and visits them all the time.

1st tank:

• two big oscars (tiger and leche) who ive had for years and im pretty sure theyre immortal. absolute power couple, theyve had so many babies and i had to sell them all.

• some rando snails that just appeared one day and i feel bad killing them

• nothing else because the oscars are codependent little bitches and attack other fish

2nd tank:

• a school of angle fish. there's 7-13 any given time and right now its at 11

• a red-tailed dollar fish who is silly and stares at me all day

• lots of cool rocks that my mom built for the tank with her epic pottery skills

3rd tank:

• average person's "first tank" set up. bright colored rocks, smallish tank, fake plants, etc

• beta fish. one male and one female because the males WILL murder each other

• a singular minnow i found banked in the sand on a stream next to my house and took home, im suprised the male beta hasnt tried to kill him

4th tank:

• SO many mollies. if they have an uprising they could honest to god kill me. it took so long to move them to a bigger tank because there were just too many

• i dont kill/sell them because they're my babies and also i have a big enough tank for them all to be healthy in

5th tank:

• sickbay tank. desolate besides the most expensive and correct thermometer i could find, some comfortable sand, and four different types of river plants in each corner for the sick fish to hide in

• currently has a angel fish with god knows what diseases staring at me.

• i need to clean this tank after that fish is out so he doesnt spread his sickness to the other sick fish who will come in after

5th tank:

• MY PRIDE AND JOY.

• its in the main room of the house instead of the "fish room" where all the others are.

• 240 gallons and has had its interior switched out (from freshwater to salt) so many times that its probably seen the dawn of time. its so expensive to maintain. theres been lots of tears shed over it

• currently freshwater!!

• contains: angelfish (from tank 2), blue acaras, apistogrammas, corydoras, denison barbs, and some stray guppies and mollies!!!

• is incredibly loud when cleaning out/refilling

• set so thats its INSIDE the wall + has its own very tiny room behind it for feeding, temperature checks, and maintenance

• like i said, used to be salt water, and then fresh water, and then salt water. when we want to change it we either sell the fish or move them.

• personal favorite tank

weird brick pond that is shoved into and takes up most of the space in our tiny backyard:

• lots of koi

• sometimes my bearded dragon swims in here

• when it was being built, some of my extended family swam in there with me before there were any fish or plants

• pretty big, i just said small because it's definitely not what you think when you picture a pond

• also contains a turtle whose name is brook. i actually raised her in the sick fish tank from when she was a baby that could fit in my hand. shes still pretty small, shes only about three years old

• there was an emergency a couple of months ago where everyone was on vacation and the whole pond just...drained...? apparently there was some kind of leak. there was a bit of water left, so some of the koi survived, but most died. there was lots of crying and also brook had a field day eating the fishes dead bodies.

Nintendo direct splatoon 3 paid dlc Over view

Ok ok okayy, my overview might not be the same as others because i did not play the first game, so i will not find the nostalgia of it the same.

HOLLYYYY SHITTT!!!!

Okay so there is ALLOT to unpack here.

I will be starting with wave one of the DLC: Inkopolis

Then move to wave two: Side Order

Soo, inkopolis is back! You can now experience this nostalgic city on your Nintendo switch! There’s not much to unpack other than a few things

Lets start with probably (almost) everyone’s favorite news,

SHELDON HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THESE GUYS!!

I know there are some Sheldon fans out there but im pretty sure we can agree that its nice to have a change of a shopkeeper that has beeen the same since the first game. Makes sense canonically to how would Sheldon be able to run two shops in two separate city’s at the same time.

He honestly looks terrifying, like this is something I would find climbing out of my little sister’s closet.

SQUIDD SISTERS ARE BACK IN THEIR PREFORMING DAYS!!

they said splatfests work the same here and that squid sisters will preform during splatfests. Im not sure what that means considering there are three teams and only two squid sisters, judging by this shot im starting to wonder if the zapfish represents the third team lol.

Another thing im wondering is if we will be able to go to octo valley in inkopolis, i dont see why not but it also seems very likely that we wont be able to, the only part of this expansion that contains story looks to be wave two but i could be completely wrong.

Okay next up we have wave two: side order

At firs5t glance this looks like a compleatly normal octoling in a strange white area. But if we take a closer look, this octoling appears to be agent eight? The promo hairstyle is the same and the outfit looks similar.

If we take another good look, their skin color appear to be the same as well.

Now unfourtunatly there is zero sign of agent four. Wait- what’s this?:

Another thing that happens when we take a good look is we can see that this ‘strange white place’ is actually SPLATOON 2’S INKOPOLIS

FOUR WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!?!?

sadly we cannot assume that this is the doings of agent 4, but knowing that Nintendo likes to listen to their fans, we will likely be getting four back in this DLC.

Now what could have happened here?

Well, first off lets start with the pictures flashing across the screen during this scene.

Okay so first off we have uh- strange lights? I dunno theres not realy much to make of this picture

Next up is some kind of room. Now at first i thought this was an elevator or something. And i might be right, but it also might be a containment chamber according to the next pictures

Next we got some kind of fight science or something- i really dont know the only thing that caught my eye was the blue and green thing behind out octo friend that made me say: “SANITIZED OCTO” for some reason lol. But ig it looks like out octo is fighting someone with orange ink… FOUR???(hj)

Okayyyy now this im going to call hand, because uhh hand?or atleast thats what I thought at first, but now its starting to look like a cepholapod? The floor seems really reflective and we can see… AN INKLING?? HOLLY SHIT FOUR PLEASEEE TELL ME ITS YOU IM GOING TO EXPLODE. This inkling looks a bit.. difirent though,, its hard to see their ink color but it looks like a bit of a brownish color like the octo. Another thing that is off about this squid is its a normaly long arms, im not the only one seeIng how long their fucking arms are right?

uh void,, Thing?there are a bunch of spikes and out fave octo friend chillin in the center of it all. There seems to be a reoccurring theme of black and white even though splatoon is a colorful game.

Ooo glitchy marina! This one dosent have allot of info other than shes in her old outfit or the took her orange jacket off but it sure would make an awesome wallpaper!

this one seems to be of our octo buddy looking into glass. Now one of two things could be happening here.. or both, 1: this octo just came into existence and is seeing their own face for the first time, or 2: their looking at something out the window. Thwew is another person in the background as we can see a black shoe in the top left corner

I dont even fucking know what this is but it reminds me of those stress toys with the colored balls inside them that you try to push in

now THOSE are some LONG ASS TENTACLES. This seems to be another elevator of some sort, or just a big door. It seems to be surounded by plants and collums to.

This honestly looks like a splatoon 2 hero mode stage on anistetics (/pos). Our lil octo guy seems to be in the middle of it

We got pearl in the fucked up inkopolis. Y’know, maybe we fell over and shes helpin us up :) this also explains her huge jacket because it must be freezing out there lol

This looks like something from breath of the wild. But the longer i look at it, the more it looks like a stegosaurus. That red pupil is scary tho ngl

now the ink may look back and a bit of red ink. But what if thats orange ink? Honestly im trying to find anny excuse i have to say agent 4 is back. But this placer looks strange, there is white plants everywhere and the pillars a weird.

That’s fucking bright. but the ink color is starting to look closer and closer to agent eight’s ink color

this reminds me of the splatoon2 hero mode art with all the octo weapons and callie at the top and four at the bottom of all of it and i feeling the refirence. I dont have the time to turn up the brightness right now but i will later and i will let you guys know what i find

Okay now were really getting close to agent eight’s hair color. This is most likely agent eight like there is almost no denial

oh shit now there are two of them. One of them looks like their saying something to the other. There is also a massive difference in brightness which is strange. Also where are they? This place looks strange with stuff just everywhere.

im rereading homestuck but theres a twist

i shoulda started blogging it on page 1 but instead i waited until page 2012 to confirm this idea with beef who was off the grid so here we are

this first post will be my retroactive thoughts on what has happened so far. or at least what i can remember thinking at the time

ok first thing i know this is a given but isnt it weird that all the kids have to like actually fight their guardians. like in this picture john is attacking his dad with a hammer while his dad parries and subsequently counterattacks using various pastries. and these two have the most stable relationship out of the four beta kids and their guardians.

okay secondly i wont picture this but it is a little jarring to me how often the kids (especially john and dave thus far) use slurs like i get its a different time and theyre 13 but its just weird to see when i dont see those words too often. but it is what it is i guess

next up is rose. she is awesome and overall has been a highlight of this reread. idk what it is but i vibe with her so much this time around. shes so based and idk why i never saw it before now. i mean i always thought she was cool but i love her so much rn. it is both ironic and sad that the seer of light cannot see her mothers actions as what they are, which is genuine affection, but is only able to see them as what they aren't, which is insane levels of passive aggression. anyway all that said heres a picture of her being fucking awesome

next thing is jade. jade? is awesome. she is so silly. how could i have not seen this before. she is so real. and also she has that quality about her where everyone is just sort of nicer to her because shes so awesome and cool. and it sucks that later on things become really difficult and bad for her. stay strong girl

hey 👀👀 tell me abt jay and kota

Okay so they first meet when the Bucks plan an impromptu trip for Jay and themselves, the bucks have all the tickets and stuff and pick jay up for a four am flight to japan which Jay spends most of the flight in matts clothes drugged up sleepy cuz matt makes her and nick drink sleepy time tea before they get on the plane so the two of them dont freak out about being in the same place for literally hours. Jays still kinda sleepy and outta it when theyre trying to find kenny and matt, the more alert one spots kenny and while theyre all walking towards kenny and kota, jay falls over and cuts his knee pretty badly

and Kota's brain watches all of this and goes "well thats a fucking seven year old." and thats what he sticks with. Jay is [at MOST] seven and Kota basically dotes of Jay while shes in Japan- whenever kenny is out in the gym, kota makes her breakfast and gets him all the travel stuff he needs, covers his scars that are fading and healed in bandaids cuz Kota just assumes they still hurt and itch. He builds Jay an entire blanket fort using his couch and blankets and sheets off his and Kenny's bed when Jay has a meltdown and taste tests different snacks on Jay to make sure that theyre eating while theyre in his house.

Kota writes everything down in a notebook in japanese and add little pictures so jay can buy the snacks without having to constantly bug Nak or Kenny with what it means. Jay has never really been the best at learning languages- he knows english and french and he really tries to jearn japanese but it never sticks into her brain and she hates herself for it cuz theres that seperatation she has been kota who jay admires and looks up too.

Kota does teach Jay one little bit of japanese through sheer looping. He makes the bed in the guest room for Jay cuz Kota thinks that Jay is uncomfy sharing a bed with him and Kenny since Jay is the first one awake and kota feels like hes stealing Kenny from jay. So he gives jay the guest room and while hes folding up the sheets and making sure that Jay is ready for bed, stops zem before zey take his hearing aids out and tells jay that he loves him. Cuz he does, he adores Jay that little fella is his son and nobody will ever tell Kota Ibushi different. He tells jay that he's loved at every oppotunity to the point its the only thing memorised in Jay's brain cell.

Cut forward to after the Elite suspenstion, kenny has lost a pretty important match and his mind is running away from him, hes sore and in pain and bloody and jay, not sure how to keep kenny focused and stopped dissocating, tells kenny she loves him in japanese and Kennys brain kinda buffers and he smiles and goes "where'd you learn that?" and Jay, quieter than before whispers "someone important kept telling me it. Hed tell you the same if he was here..."

Kota is the reason why Jay likes seaweed and learns how to do a pheonix splash correctly and the reason why she stares at balconies and knows a singular thing in a language that always felt like a barrier between her and kenny, hes a reason and a place where jay doesnt have to be anything. Jay can simply be soft and squishy and nobody will judge her for that.

The notebook stays in Kennys suitcase no matter what state/country they go too cuz he always buys Jay some snack from it, so even if her stepdad isnt here- Jay can still feel and remember that love thats still there, tucked away safely, expanding and spanning more than just the ocean.

its not a romantic thing, jay simply adores kota like a father figure and Kota is adoring Jay as a child he may never get to have. Kota is part of the polycule, dating kenny and hanger and kinda dating Cole [cole and kota kinda sleep around together for kennys enjoyment and he likes that his Ibu-tan is settled with his pretty girlfriend]

Nep’s Downloading Homestuck Walk through!!!

im on desktop and i dont know how to make colored text on desktop so just pretend thats a rainbow!

also going to at @ @ghostdragoncookie  because they needed help but feel free to use this whoever u are!

(also dropping the typing quirk for clarity cause maybe people want to download homestuck but dont have nepeta puns dictionary bookmarked for easy access)

OKAY SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO: the ramblings of a teenage boy who just woke up from a three hour nap and also knows like 4 things about computers but just used brute force to get his way through it

Step one:

go here https://bambosh.github.io/unofficial-homestuck-collection/

Step two:

press Download and then download the file that corresponds to your operating system, i have windows so screenshots that will be included will be for windows. but i will learn how to use linux or mac if needed i am a servant to the people! and the people must read homestuck!

also make sure to put it in a place you can find easy that will be important later

Step three:

Downlaod the asset pack. Now this is the hard part, imo, because they say all asset packs are the same but not all work with all the computers. “but nep, that doesnt make any sense! why dont they just tell you what asset packs work for what computers?” and to that i say: thats the joy of homestuck! nothing works, about three things make sense, and we all just guess until it works out. so if your asking what asset pack to download, just start at the top and work your way down ig i dunno man thats what i did.

Step four:

Assuming you magically picked the right asset pack (and if you didnt dw there will be a trouble shooting thing at the bottom of this) you will go into your files and find homestuck!

Step five:

Unzip your files. How I understand for macs if you click on a file it automatically unzips itself. (why does it do that apple? whats the fuckin purpose?) I dont know for linux but once again if asked i will learn. and for windows theres a nifty button to press pictured below.

Step six:

OPENING HOMESTUCK!!!!!

so now you will go into actual homestuck and open it! process pictured below!!

first you want to make sure ur asset pack and hs are in the same place, that is just for ease of finding things later

hi guys i just dusted my bookshelf now i think we should talk about my favorite books

heres a really bad picture ummm we should get the non books out of the way thats spider man (IN MY FAV SUIT I LOVE THE IRONSPIDER SUTI SO MUCH) and u cant see it but hes holding the iron gauntlet and hes sooo cool and epic and hes from my favorite non spiderman marvel movie (infinity war!!! its my fav bc it has spider man and dr strange and iron man all interacting and they are my favorites!!) and then theres a jar of frogs. ummm in there theres a few random frogs but most of them are my collection of poison dart frog figurines and also TWO frog bouncy balls one (the one u can see its got this kinda weird purple bottom) has a bumblebee frog in it (not a real one obv) also u cant really see but the jar is organized vaguely by color. also it used to be painted (thats the blue on the top and the random white spots) but i took most of the paint off (and then got lazy and didnt take off the rest of the paint) and yes its ontop of three pairs of gloves (two pairs of winter gloves and gardening gloves) that i wear sometimes when i dont want to touchanything. also i forgot to mention that spider man is number 77 which is great bc 7 is my favorite ever number which brings us into the books <3 counting by sevens (second on the top shelf, red spine) was my favorite book in like second grade . which totally has nothing to do w my obsession for the number seven hahahahahahahahahah <- lying. okay first on the top shelf i havent actually read that book it actually is probably pretty okay but i havent read anything for a long time lmao it was gifted to me by a friend tho thats why its on my Special shelf. then its counting by sevens (thats the one w the autistic girl who i was obsessed w for years. like i read the book at age like 7 and then JUST bought it last year so i could finally have it forever) and then the secret life of bees which was another gift from a friend i dont remember if i ever finished (we have the problem that i was reading it when smth traumatic happened so i dont remember shit abt it) AND THEN!! the laura ingalls wilder series which i was obsessed with in like..... third grade???? anyways i really wish i had the first few books (those are my favs!! tho i like town on the prairie too) but i didnt actually buy them my uncle gave them too me (he works in a publishing company) and he didnt even know that i liked them. then is howls moving castle which im pretty sure ive read but it was like when i was 8 so again i dont remember the book (i watched the movie recently w a friend tho it was great) then is a dictionary which i annotated (we added. our fav characters at the time to it. yeah.) and also i carried it around w me for like a month. then is anne of green gables which i also really like at some point when i was younger (yes i have seen the netflix series yes i did like it for the most part) ONTO THE SECOND SHELF !!! tuesdays at the castle was a book my friend and i read together in third grade and it was what finally got her into reading. then is the first four years which is also another laura ingalls wilder! and then its the school for good and evil (i enjoyed the first book but it got SO BAD LATER that is not the first book that i have it was one of the bad ones but again i got it from my uncle who works in The Book Industry) AND THEN!! the carry on/fangirl series!! which i was obsessed w like two years ago. then theres my book of fairy tales !!!!!!!!!! which is pretty old i think. i have older books tho i have a 1977 a 1972 and a 1959 anddd the fairy tales are only from 1997. so none of my books are SUPER old but theyre old enough u have to be careful. anyways NOT PICTURED BUT STILL IMPORTANT TO ME (they were too tall for these shelves): the chronicles of narnia, a complete collection of edgar allan poes short stories and poems (WOOOOOOO POE!!), the little house cook book (another laura ingalls wilder thing!!), the princess tales (love them when we were like five!!) sea view secret ( mystery i remember none of but our dad read it to us when we were little) THATS IT tumblr is cutting me off word count wise

was annoyed with not knowing how long yaz and the doctor have actually been together and apart so i made a timeline

i dont know how clear the picture is but this is as far as i can tell how the timeline goes:

all the way on the left is 7 october 2018, first episode. all the way on the right is 17 april 2022, most recent episode. 1 cm on the timeline is approximately 1.5 months.

the first mark after the start of the timeline is 1 january 2019, resolution. thats the first date that matches up in universe and out of universe explicitly.

the second mark is exactly one year later, 1 january 2020, spyfall. i dont think spyfall takes place on january first in-universe? i dont remember any mention of it. so im gonna say spyfall just happens somewhere begin january. spyfall 2 follows exactly on spyfall 1 in-universe and we have a four day gap so i think we can push spyfall 1 back to 5 january too and then everything sorta kinda matches up again.

until the end of fugitive theres no explicit mention of how time goes so im just gonna assume that every episode is about a week apart for them too, just like it is for us. so orphan 55 to fugitive is about two weeks of travelling. (theres also that small time skip at the end of spyfall 2, “youre really quiet” “have been for days now” but it’s all close enough right? im eyeballing it)

then fugitive-praxeus are basically one day. we dont know how much time is between praxeus and can you hear me. to me personally the scene at the start of can you hear me feels like theyve been gone a while, and while that can be explained by them just not having been home since spyfall, spyfall is actually not that long ago if youre counting the way im counting right now. like spyfall (5 jan) would be only about a month from can you hear me (9 feb), so to my intuition theres like, another couple weeks between praxeus and can you hear me, but because theres no basis for that and to not mess with the timeline too much, im just gonna stick with 9 february for can you hear me for now.

can you hear me -> villa diodati -> ascension -> timeless children: all basically one day. YikesTM

then revolution i think we can place in the first week of january? i dont know if it’s directly january the first but soon after. their 10 months are our 10 months.

the following 10 months im also taking as 10 months for them. i know it’s a time machine and they could take as long or as short as they want getting from 1 january to 31 october, but for simplicity’s sake, im gonna assume it was about 11 months for them in their relative time too. so yaz and the doctor have basically caught up on the time yaz was alone stuck on earth at least.

that means that now theyve been travelling together for, eyeballing it still but i think, from 7 october 2018 to around 31 october 2021 - because flux is also basically one really long day for the doctor YikesTM2 (this is why timelords dont need as much as sleep as we do) or maybe two days, with a break between 13x3 and 13x4 - with a pause for the ten months/few decades, is about 800 days, or 116 weeks, or 27 months, or just over 2 years. thats time theyve spent travelling together. which it seems is a 24/7 sort of situation when theyre not interrupted by prisons and such.

but thats until the start of flux. the end of flux is to us about a month later, to the doctor is maybe like two 72-hour days later, and to yaz is obviously like 3-4 years later.

so to make up the score: thats 2 years together, a few decades apart for the doctor, and a few years apart for yaz.

then in eve of the daleks dan says “you saved the world last week” about the end of flux, so im gonna say they have a few days between flux and eve of the daleks to, like, lick their wounds. and sleep. and eat something damn this is why the tardis just makes custard creams come out of the console, i dont think 13 would eat otherwise.

and then eve of the daleks goes directly to sea devils. they go the short way from january first to easter sunday.

so just to really hammer that in, what for us was 6 months from halloween to easter sunday, for the doctor was one really bad week.

i mean, just for fun:

it’s halloween, youre chasing karvanista, get swarm in your head, find out about the flux, land in crimea, stop the sontarans, kidnap dan, walk into a trap to find yaz, risk your life and sanity to save yaz and also the guy youve just taken as an unwitting hostage who youve spent all of half an hour with, PLUS this boy yaz picked up whose name you dont even know, find some uncovered memories, talk to tecteun, get your tardis hijacked by a weeping angel, try to save this girl you met like half a day ago in another time and place, get horribly blindsided and turned into an angel and kidnapped and come face to face with tecteun again, who you just left like, a couple hours ago, tecteun dies, swarm and azure torture you, you get split in three, you save the world, you get your memories and you realise you really want to trust yaz with all this but you dont know where to start, you die 8 times by dalek fire, you watch yaz die 8 times by dalek fire, you feel the sword of damocles over your head and you realise what will happen if you let yaz into your heart any more than she already is.

she needs a vacation.

which brings me to what actually made me think about this in the first place: the finale probably takes place at least in part in our real normal time right? ace and tegan, theyre on earth, in our time. so i feel like we can assume that the date for them then will again match up with ours. one googling and reading the first result suggests maybe october 16 or 23.

but thats not really important, whats important is, will they again get six months of travelling together just like they did between revolution and flux? will their timeline match ours or will they do another time skip and go from april 17 directly to october 16? because i dont think i could deal with that. that would break me.

but i dont think they would do that! because like, with the sea devils there was no real in-universe date, because they were in the past, it might have been april 17 1807 but it doesnt really matter. the only dates that really matter about matching up are the ones where theyre in modern times in the show.

and other times where episodes have followed each other directly were because the end of one directly signaled the start of the next. eve -> devils. can you hear me -> villa diodati -> ascension -> timeless children etc

so what i would GUESS is they will have had time. some undefined amount of time that we can assume is six months bc it was six for us, where theyve been travelling with this “i want to but i cant” sort of, just like, There.

and i would expect the finale to then have a scene similar to 13x1 where yaz lets us know that it’s been a little bit with her frustration over her questions not being answered. i would expect something similar to happen at the start of the finale where we can see some of the tension between them and we get that this has been going on since sea devils.

i dont know what the tension will be really. i dont think it’ll be frustration. i could see the doctor being flirty at the start of the finale and yaz just like, having enough of that and snapping a little. similar vibe to 13 saying “stop asking me that”, yaz could be like “stop doing that”. not convinced it would be that though. i think i would enjoy it if it were something like that but i dont really expect it i think.

another option i can see is a sad vibe like the end of sea devils but if theres a time skip of six months i think they’d be over that, at least on the surface. so another other option i can see would be they would be like normal, just like, copilots being all in sync like in 13x1 and sea devils, but then Something happens or Someone says something that makes them go all Oh This We Dont Talk About. like you can feel how theyve been avoiding the topic and just been trying to Live In The Present for six months.

that i could also see happen. although i think i would like if it after sea devils they dont like, stop talking again. i’d love to see them in a way that makes it clear that theyve been talking a Lot over the past six months. like idk the doctor making casual references to old friends or yaz mentioning them.

or! you know what i would love, like, the doctor saying something like “trust me this is gonna work perfectly” and yaz going “thats what you said last time with jenny and madame vastra and then strax ended up with a concussion” and the doctor is like “yeah can you believe sontarans can get concussions? honestly thought their skulls were too thick”. THATS what i would love. like, please, bring in more lesbians. we can get all the lesbians in here if we really try. mention BILL for god’s sake. mention bill in a familiar way that makes it clear that the doctor has told yaz about bill, like not just the “she was a friend who died” bit but like, anecdotes, like yaz knows bill secondhand now. that definitely wont happen but that would be perfect

part two to “four i love you’s, one goodbye”

you should probably read that first its important. 

okay so i was looking through and editing and like an idiot i deleted the post.  because i’m an idiot, so if you’ve already seen this... thats why i’m so so sorry... luckily enough i save all of my writing... and tried to remember as much as i could about the rest...

this was requested but theres spoilers so i’m not showing it mwahahahaha

warning: mentions of death, angst, my writing, and lots of crying, blood? i think? maybe?

The shock was palpable.

It lived in Spencer's brain, circling his head for hours a day, a constant nightmare he couldn't wake up from.

He refused to go to her funeral.

He refused to leave his house.

The pain was unbearable.

He spent every day, every day, alone in his small apartment, with all of her things. He lived surrounded by the memory of his best friend, his best friend who he was too late to save, his best friend who loved him with all her heart, his best friend who had died in his arms, died never knowing just how much Spencer loved her.

He couldn't even say the words aloud.

He lived in a constant regret, which swallowed him whole forcing him to live in its dark cave, to live in the bottomless pit, where he couldn't see anything, he was forced into regret with its cold aroma and dark secrets. He lived there, stuck with no way out.

He lived in the cave with the knowledge that he couldn't even admit the truth, the truth that he had so stupidly kept a secret, the truth which he worried might have saved his best friend. He fell deeper and deeper into despair, deeper and deeper down, with regret filling his body whole.

He still couldn't admit it.

He spent each day in his bed, each day surrounded by the boxes his friends had brought from her apartment, brought because he was the closest to her, brought because he was the one that was supposed to go through them and decide what was worth keeping. He spent his days surrounded by all of the things that she wrapped herself in, all the things she had put her heart into and bought, and he didn't even bother looking at them, nonetheless getting rid of what he- what she would never need again.

The others tried to coax him out. Tried to make him understand how worried they were, tried to get him to just get out of bed for one day, to just go outside, to just feel the light on his skin and the air in his lungs.

“Hey Pretty Boy, you know I’m here for you.”

“Come on Genius, we all miss you.”

“Spence, it's going to get better.”

“Reid. I know.”

“Kid, we’ve got a home waiting for you.”

Nothing worked.

The one voice he wanted to hear wouldn't come to the door.

Sometimes, he was almost sure he was forgetting about her, he almost couldn't feel her with him, couldn't hear her voice in his head, couldn't remember the way she looked when she smiled at him, he was almost sure she was disappearing out of thin air.

He knew he couldn't just forget her, knew that the memories of her would never actually go away, but some days, on the days when he needed her words to remind him, on those days he could never remember anything about her. On those days he cried because he didn't want her to leave. He didn't want her to be gone.

On those days it was harder to think about anything.

He refused to go to the funeral.

Her life was worth more than a million parties.

Her life was worth more than some tears, and a couple of speeches.

Her life was worth the world.

So he didn't go. No matter how much anyone begged him to. He never answered the door, never answered the pleas coming out of desperate voices, never answered the angry remarks, never thought about anything except the way he wished he could hear her laugh one more time, just once more.

There was no relief from any of it.

There was no ending to the pain in his heart, that sometimes he worried was killing him, there was no ending the regret that lived deep within his brain, that kept him locked inside of himself with no escape. There was no ending to the memories of her that liked to remind him of how much he had lost, that liked to rewind in his brain, that liked to be played over and over again.

The only ending was hers.

He wondered if she had been in this much pain when she died, he wondered if in some way they were connected by the things that hurt them the most. He wondered if that would be the last connection they ever had.

The consistent pain.

He tried not to remember the look on her face, the words on her lips, the way her chest contracted in pain as she laid there next to him. He tried to not remember her last moments, the only moments she had left, he tried not to remember how helpless she looked, and he tried not to think about the smile she gave him, the smile she always gave him, as a last reminder that she was still alive.

He didn't want to remember any of that.

He didn't want to get out of bed, or take a shower, or eat something, because what was it worth if there wasn't her voice on the other side of the door. What was it worth to even try if the one thing he wanted he would never get.

He still couldn't admit it out loud.

It was until the wellness check, the check that had been forced upon him and his home, it wasn't until then he decided to leave.

His friends, his family, they had forced him out.

Forced him away from the constant pit of loneliness and sorrow he lived in, the pit that he refused to leave no matter how much they tried to push him out of it.

It wasn't until Hotch reminded him, reminded him of what she would think

“She wouldn't want you to live like this Spencer, think about what she would do if she knew what you were doing to yourself.”

It wasn't until he remembered her stubbornness, and her temper, and her undeniable love for him, it wasn't until then he decided to get out of bed.

The rest of the team made themselves busy with cleaning his apartment, with moving the boxes somewhere Spencer wouldn't trip over them, with cleaning his kitchen and washing his clothes.

Spencer didn't have the energy to say thank you.

He sat on the couch and watched his friends take care of him, he stayed silent and tried just to power through the wave of exhaustion that ran through him.

He already wanted to be back in bed.

Staring at his friends, his friends who seemed perfectly fine, his friends who were not weighted down by the emotions they were feeling, staring at his friends who had to take care of him, who could take care of him because they were just fine, staring at them only made him feel pathetic.

It was Derek who stopped to sit with him, it was Derek who saw the dwindling light fading from his eyes, it was Derek who saw his friend starting to fall apart even more just when they all thought they might be able to put him back together.

It was Derek who sat next to him.

‘Hey Kid,' he said, as he sat down on Spencer's small couch.

Spencer didn't react to his voice.

“Spencer.” Derek tried again, this time his voice more firm.

Spencer looked over at him. His eyes looked dull, his cheeks drooped into his skin, his shirt was practically falling off his shoulders. He looked like he hadn't been alive in weeks.

“Kid it's going to be alright.”

Spencer blinked. Just blinked at his friend, just blinked, and thought about how he wanted to go back to bed.

“Spencer I promise. I promise it'll get better.”

Spencer only looked away, but this time, this time Derek saw something different. He saw a crack in the hard stone that made up Spencer, he saw the change in his eyes, the slight flinch in his face.

He tried again.

“Talk to me, Reid.”

It felt like the first time anyone had said anything to him, it felt like the first time he had heard words from anyone but the voices in his head for weeks, it felt like he was finally going to be done, that he was finally allowed to be done.

He looked over at Derek with tears in his eyes. His mouth was quivering, his hands were shaking.

He didn't want to say it, didn't want to admit the truth out loud, out loud where everyone could hear, he didn't want to admit how wrong he had been, he didn't want to say it just didn't want to say it.

He tried to hold it in, tried to keep himself up.

He tried so so hard.

He failed.

“I loved her so much,” he said brokenly, falling apart, all the pieces he had tried to keep together falling on the floor and into the ground, and deep somewhere inside him something broke.

He sobbed.

Derek pulled him in, pulled him closer so he could hug him, so he could remind Spencer that they were still there, that they weren't going anywhere no matter how broken Spencer felt. They would always be there for him.

“I know,” he whispered as Spencer sobbed.

As he sobbed into his shoulder, as he sobbed for his friend, for the girl he had always looked up to, for the person he had never gotten to tell how much he loved her.

He sobbed in the loss of the only person he had ever denied his love too.

He wished he hadn't admitted it.

Eventually, he had to get back to work.

The team was splitting up, and they needed as much help as possible.

Spencer had to drag himself out of bed.

Before leaving Hotch had said to take as much time as he needed, that he understood how hard it might be to come back, that he respected whatever decision Spencer made.

But it wasn't enough.

He had to go back, if not for himself, for her, for the people she would want him to save.

He had to do it.

So he worked, and he worked, and he avoided every memory and every ache of his heart. He ignored the constant reminders of her in his brain, and he pretended her picture on the wall of fallen agents, he pretended that picture didn't exist.

He didn't want to think about how she shouldn't have been up there at all.

He put all of his energy into working, into saving all the people he could because he knew that was what she would want, he knew that she would never ever want him to give up on something he had devoted her life to. He knew that if he kept working, if he just kept working, eventually, eventually the pain would fade.

It had for her at least.

He worked on cases, but he also worked on Ian Doyle.

The man had killed two of his friends, two of the most important people he had ever known, and as long as he kept it a secret, he would be fine.

He and Derek kept it as underground as possible, only involving Garcia when necessary.

He became obsessed with working on it.

His mind was constantly running over the different places Doyle might be, was constantly thinking about everything he knew about him, was constantly looking for new ways to find him. He couldn't get the man out of his head.

He pretended he wasn't thinking about the way he had killed her.

He pretended he wasn't thinking about her at all.

He pretended he didn't notice the looks JJ gave him when he was lost in thought when he was simply too tired to say anything, he pretended he didn't notice the way Penelope doted on him, the extra way she made sure he knew she was around. He pretended Derek didn't give him hard looks when he got too invested in a lead he had on Doyle.

He pretended that stupid picture wasn't hanging up where he walked past every day.

He pretended it all wasn't happening.

And he still lived in his constant cave, the only safe place he was familiar with, he lived deep in the dark where no one could see him, where no one could see the pain that was eating at his body, that was biting him to pieces when he didn't have anything other to think about than her. He lived in the darkest, coldest moments he could think of, and he didn't want to leave.

He had become so familiar, so used to the feeling of nothing, to the feeling of pain turning him to pieces, he thought that if it stopped if he felt better for even the littlest moment if it stopped than he would forget her.

He would forget all of the pain she was worth.

He was afraid he wouldn't remember how much she meant to him.

So he never got out, never left the open cave, never searched for the entrance, the little bit of light he thought he saw sometimes in the moments where he finally felt like laughing, he pretended that entrance didn't exist.

He was so cold.

It was like that for months. Just him, and the cave, and the people that kept trying to call out to him, and the voices he ignored.

And the memory of the person he hadn't been brave enough to talk to.

It was like that for months. Until, until there was a sign.

Until there was a picture of Doyle, the slightest glance of him until they finally knew where he was.

Spencer felt frozen staring at the man. Staring at the cause of the pain he felt tearing him apart.

Derek had to take care of it from there.

Spencer was sent to take care of Doyle’s son, and he wasn't sure if it was because Rossi needed his help, or if everyone was too worried, too scared of what he would do if he saw Doyle.

He wondered that himself.

He tried to breathe, to remind himself that it was almost over, that he had almost gotten the justice she deserved, the justice both of his friends deserved.

He sat back, he tried his very best to keep the straight head, to help out in any way he could, to remember everything he knew, to remember all the things that could help them, that could save a little boy.

He tried his very best to not fall apart at the thought of her, at the thought of her death, at the thought of the man that had caused her death, he tried to keep himself together, for her, her, for her.

Her.

He felt almost useless.

But his family was coming back, all of his family was going to be there, they were all looking for the same thing now, there was no more keeping secrets, or doing all the work with just Derek, now he had all of them.

When Hotch came back there was a moment of joy in his heart, just a moment of him feeling relieved that his boss was there, it was only a moment. The tiniest moment imaginable. But he felt terrible.

She died, she died because of him, she died because he wasn't fast enough, she died and he wasn't allowed to forget that.

He was really trying to not forget that.

He shouldn't be allowed to move out of his darkness, to leave the cave that surrounded him, she wasn't allowed to come back, and he shouldn't have been allowed to leave, he should have to feel the pain for the both of them.

Glue all the pieces together, for her.

Just figure it all out for her.

Avenge her.

Then, after that, feel the pain.

Back in the cave.

He just had to remember.

They all sat around the conference table. Hotch had told them he had important information, he had something that he had to tell all of them.

Spencer wondered when it would be over.

He wondered when he would finally be allowed to go back home, to go back and be alone, he wondered when he could finally turn his mind off, could finally stop remembering everything, could finally just go to sleep. He wondered when it was finally going to be done.

He hoped it would be soon.

He was exhausted.

But Hotch had something to tell them, he had something that Spencer needed to hear.

Spencer needed to be awake for that, he needed to listen as much as he could.

His body was sinking under him, practically shriveling away because of the sleep deprivation, and the malnutrition, and the pain the pain

He kept his eyes on Hotch.

“Seven months ago I made a decision that affected this team…As you all know Emily and Y/N had lost a lot of blood after their fights with Doyle... But the Doctors were able to stabilize them.”

Spencer felt lost, felt his mind running over the memory of JJ telling them they hadn't made it, felt himself remembering the sound of his heart breaking, the feeling of all his blood rushing to his brain. He didn't understand, they were not stable, the doctors had not been able to save them.

His mind was connecting dots, and running over everything, and he refused.

He refused to believe he was right.

“Their identities were strictly ‘need to know’… And they stayed there until both of them were well enough to travel, they were reassigned to Paris together where they were both given several identities none of which we had access to, for their security”

No.

No, they died. Spencer remembered. He remembered.

He shook his head.

That was a lie, it was all a lie because they had both died, because she had stopped breathing in his arms, because she had said goodbye to him, because she had left, because he had locked himself away, because she was gone, because she was gone, she was gone she was gone

She was gone.

She wasn't walking through the doors, she wasn't there, she wasn't really in the room, this had to be a joke, had to be a dream had to be something that was meant to hurt Spencer, because it was working it was really working because the pain was there because he was being torn apart because this wasn't real this wasn't real

“Hi,” she said.

And it wasn't real, and it couldn’t have been real, Spencer was just hearing things, he was just stressed, just wrapped up in everything because she wasn't really there she wasn't really there she wasn't she wasn't.

He was still shaking his head.

And his eyes were stinging, and he felt like she was laughing at him, he felt like they were all laughing at him because this was a joke because this wasn't real because this wasn't happening.

“No.” He said, he said, so quick, and so insistently.

He had to be making this up because he wanted to see her because they wouldn't have lied because she wouldn't have left without telling him because this wasn't happening.

He walked past her, past all of them, past the girl who had been mourning for months, past the girl he was imagining.

He pretended he didn't feel the way his shoulder brushed against hers.

He was supposed to go to Hotch with any issues. He was supposed to blame him because he had called the order because she was alive she was alive she was still breathing.

He was supposed to go to Hotch with any problem he had.

She was alive.

Shock was keeping him a hostage everywhere he went.

She had tried to talk to him, had tried to explain to him, had tried to smile at him, to smile at him with the smile he thought he would never ever see again, with the smile he imagined so many times, for so many months.

He didn't even look at her.

He couldn't look at the person he thought he would never see again.

Shock was holding him back, keeping him from accepting the truth, keeping him from saying anything to anyone.

She was alive.

It wasn't real.

He was going to wake up, wake up anytime, and she was going to be gone, and the pain the pain he felt the pain he had forced himself to feel for months, he would go back to that, he was going to wake up and it would all go back to normal.

He thought that the pain from before, the heart breaking pain of never seeing her again, he thought that that pain was much better than the one he was feeling now, at least he had a reason for that pain, at least with that pain he didn't have to live with the overwhelming shock.

Doyle had been caught, the man that Spencer had tried his hardest to find- for her it was all for her -and that came with repercussions of its own.

The team was forced to go under trial, was forced to recount everything that happened, was forced to prove to the judge that they were worth keeping their jobs.

Spencer still wasn't talking to her, even when she tried to go up to him, even when she called him with the new phone he had gotten, even when the team pulled him away from work and took him out, even then he refused to talk to her.

He was so terrified.

He wanted it all to be real, wanted it all to be real, didn't want to have to wake up to the dream he was living.

He still wasn't sure if it was real at all.

It took weeks, weeks of putting her things back together, weeks of trying to get back to work, weeks of getting everything ready so she could get back to her life, weeks of overwhelming changes that came with being gone for half a year.

It took weeks for her to get Spencer alone.

She knew he didn't want to talk to her, she couldn't tell if it was because he was angry, angry that they lied, or if it was because he didn't want to talk to her, didn't want to learn about the persons she had become in the months they had been apart.

She didn't care.

She loved him, she still loved him so much, so much that he’d been the only reason she got better, the only reason she had stayed away from him for so long. Her love hadn't faded, hadn't removed itself from every inch of her body even a little bit, and he had to know.

He had to know how sorry she was.

It took weeks to get the chance to talk to him.

It was a celebratory party, one celebrating Emily and her, one celebrating the jobs that they were allowed to keep. It was a celebration.

And Spencer still felt dead on his feet, still felt like he wasn't allowed to talk, wasn't allowed to look at her.

He could barely stand to feel her body heat, to feel her presence from across the room.

So he found a balcony, one that was big enough for him to not feel as claustrophobic, one that looked up at the stars.

That's where she found him.

She just watched him for a moment, she appreciated the peaceful look on his face, the look she hadn't seen on him in months, she appreciated him just standing there. When he was standing there he reminded her a little bit more of the friend she had left behind.

She stared for a couple of minutes.

And then Spencer started to feel it.

He felt the change in the air, the shift in the mood, he felt the body language coming from her almost ten feet away, and he could practically smell the perfume he hoped she still used.

He turned around.

And he looked at her.

Accidentally.

And he felt his heart being torn apart.

She looked beautiful, she was smiling a soft smile, her eyes were alive and bright, her skin was glowing and Spencer could feel the warmth reflecting off of her onto him.

It was the first time he had looked at her since he’d found out.

And she was beautiful.

He felt his heart shattering into pieces at the realization of just how much he had missed her, at just how much his heart had longed for her to come back, at the feeling of the empty space she’d left behind being filled.

He had no idea how to deal with the feeling.

He was so overwhelmed.

“Hey, Spence.”

And he felt himself sob at the sound of her voice.

At the words, he had imagined her saying so many times, at the gentle vibration, at the gentle tone she always used with him, at the sound of the voice he had longed for, the voice he had kept hidden in his head for so long.

She was alive.

“Oh, Spencer.” She said as she walked over to him, as she grabbed his arm as she touched him for the first time in months.

He sobbed harder at her touch.

And he desperately grabbed onto her.

He desperately held her.

He relaxed in the feel of her arms around him, in the feel of her gentle curves, at the feeling of her just being there.

She was just there.

He held on to her tighter.

He was so afraid she was going to leave, that she was going to disappear out of thin air, that she was going to be gone, that she was going to leave just like she had before.

“Please don't leave.” he choked out, his voice breaking, his eyes terrified, his body falling to pieces in her hands, in the hands of the person he had missed for so long.

Tears fell from her eyes at his words.

“I’m not going to Spence. I’m not leaving you again,” she assured him, she said completely sure that it was the truth.

“Y/N” he sobbed again, his body shaking as he held her, as he said her name, as he said the one word he hadn't muttered in months.

She was actually there.

Y/N breathed him in, she held onto him, she tried to search for the words that would convince him, that would tell him that she was never going to leave, that she would never leave him again, that she couldn't stand to be apart from him.

They stood there, together, just together, for the first time in so long, they stood there and they held each other, held the pieces together.

She was alive.

Spencer tried to breathe, he tried to control himself, he pulled back so he could look at her again, so he could memorize everything about her, all the things he was worried he would forget, he looked at her and felt the air finally make it to his lungs as a sweet relief, he felt his entire body-calming, his darkness moving out of the way at just the sight of her face again.

“Y/N.” he said again, his voice less desperate, but his tone more final.

He was trying to convince himself of the truth again.

“Spencer,” she said back, she said quietly. And she smiled at him.

And he couldn't help but smile back, he couldn't help but appreciate the truth at that moment, he couldn't help but feel the cool relief rush through his burning body, rush through all of the things he was trying to keep calm.

“I love you,” she said.

And Spencer felt amazed.

It wasn't a goodbye, it wasn't like last time, she wasn't desperate, or scared, or in pain, she was right there in front of him, admitting the words, admitting the truth that he hadn't been brave enough to say, she was right in front of him and she was telling him she loved him, and she was alive she was alive and-

He loved her. He loved her so much, he loved her more than he loved anything else, he missed her more than anything, and he wasn't going to let her go. He wasn't going to ever let her go.

No, she wasn't saying goodbye this time.

She was,

“I love you.” he choked out, his words blocked by the bliss in his chest, the exhilaration in his body, his words hidden behind the tears he was letting run down his cheeks.

This wasn't a goodbye.

“I love you.”

i have to admit im not a big fan of spader, too perfect, and not in that funny way either. i hope they give him some characteristics that make him stand out.

ahhh - it’s quietly revealed here that she is responsible and a skilled magician, she is just bored of magic! i like that she parents abracadaniel instead of being downtrodden by his ramblings.

i love the dynamic between cadebra and abracadaniel, imo so far it’s the heart of the special. im not really gripped by peppermint butler’s school troubles. i imagine someone else probably will be but i want to run past that shit as far as possible.

I’m less than halfway through the special, what the fuck. I wasn’t wrong when I said Wizard City had a lot on its plate. It’s noit that I’ve been particularly gripped up to this point, though to be fair I didn’t pause at all during the other specials barring Obsidian.

i dont know whats happening with pep but it seems he needs to be exorcised of... pep. which is a shame. i hope they learn to coexist.

okay, it’s over :) 

first thoughts out of the way: not a big fan of this special. it’s like watching a completely different show. it’s not got the PZSHAHH of the normal wizard city stuff and there weren’t a lot of funny jokes or even hearty moments in the thing. 

it suffers from a lack of invested character interactions, much like BMO did. there was not a single main cast member in the whole thing! and like i said before, much of peppermint butler’s character in the show is based on his very sweet relationship to his mother, princess bubblegum, so when they showed a single (hilarious) photo of them together it made me sad we didn’t get any scenes with them together. it would have STOLEN this episode. and they teased the hunson golf photo, and death!!! and jake appeared in a photo T_T last jake appearance. 

it also suffers because Peppermint Butler is clearly not himself, imo he was way more entertaining in the Together Again special, where we seem him back to his “normal” self. 

i dont think peps being a dark wizard was something to “kill off” exactly. i wonder what was going on there? was that actually peps, or was that a spirit he cursed himself with based on himself? we at least know in the future he does become a dark wizard again, and even princess :) this special didn’t answer those questions but lol. 

THE GOOD STUFF, because yes, there was a lot of good stuff! 

God, I’m with Aracle and Maya on this - I LOVE Cadebra and her relationship to Pep. I wish she was even in more of this - I would love to watch the adventures of Cadebra and Pepbut in their first year of school, like in the end credits.

That, imo, is where the heart of the special lay - Peppermint Butler’s attempts to impress himself, versus Cadebra’s self acceptance and desire to follow her dreams of being a goofy goober, no matter what other people thought of her. 

It turned out that Cadebra is a responsible student and family member. I really liked that. Her scenes with Abracadaniel were, somehow, my favourite in the entire special! 

I like that theres a lot of cool magic towards the end of this special, and a lot of HORRIFYING DEATH. It wouldn’t be adventure time if you didn’t randomly kill off child characters. Poor Spader, I hated you but damn, what a grim fate. 

I like that Bufo and Caledonius had this crush/hatred thing going on, but they were part of the same cult in the end. 

I didn’t like the giant peps scene at the end, the monster was extremely milquetoast compared to the madness we usually get in AT. Obsidian, for example, had the awesome Larvo design. Nemesis had some INSANE dark magic!!!!  I wish they drew more from that episode. 

Considering how much Steve Little appears in this special, I do feel bad for Mace (little Peps). He said he would have really benefitted from coaching, but recieved none. He had to re-record his lines 3 times! Judging from his description of events, Wizard City was a hard time for him. 

The wizard school did remind me, heavily, of both The Owl House and OK KO. Personally I was hoping AT would offer me something more insane, but I do love both of those shows, and I know Wizard City was on a really tight schedule. 

I think they should have spent less time on the school bullying plot, and skipped straight to MURDER. 

We did have a cold opening, not on par with Together Again’s at all, but damn!

I am wondering where I would put this in the watch list? I do think it should sit after Obsidian as the third special. The intro scene makes it clear this takes place at the same time as Obsidian!!!

Well, that was it, the last ep of AT for the next few years at least T_T

i think together again was the better finale, definitely. but wizard city feels pretty detached from AT for me, despite the familiar characters it tonally isn’t like the show other than the awesome brutal death scenes. I thought the last 11 minutes was easily the best in the special! Which, honestly, is how it should be, though I do wish it gripped me more. Maybe I’m just not the target audience for Wizard City? It feels like something I would find very compelling if I was a bit younger!
