MAYA HI!! I LOVE YOUR HALLOWEEN COSTUME IT’S AMAZING AND I HOPE YOU GOT ALL THE CANDY YOU WANTED FROM ALL THE HOUSES YOU VISITED BUT JUST IN CASE, I HAVE A FULL SIZED BAR (snippet of the beginning of the “drabble” I’m writing for your prompt, which is in quotes because it’s actually going to be over 2k words) FOR YOU!!

Tim’s awareness comes back the way it always does. Sound, then scent, then pain, blah blah blah.  He’s not up to dissecting it. He’s in a hospital bed and everything fucking hurts, from the space behind his eyes to his fingers, but especially his ribs. They feel like they’re on fire.  ‘What happened?’ is what he tries to say.  “Nghhgghh,” is what he manages. “Be quiet, Timothy.” Tim’s brow furrows, an action that hurts his skin. Because Damian doesn’t talk to him like that anymore. Occasionally, Tim says something to him that earns him a biting reply, but he usually deserves the nip for whatever it is that he said.  Then he places the wrong note he’d heard in Damian’s voice. Shit. This is probably Tim’s fault, then.  He clears his throat to try again, not even bothering to open his eyes. It’s a routine at this point — he knows if he opens them he’ll be blinded by the lights.  “What happened?” he manages to squeeze out this time, but it sounds like he spent an entire day screaming, his voice is so hoarse.  “You fainted straight into my arms,” Damian lies. He means for it to come out sarcastic, but even he can hear the flatness to it, the way it lacks the dry humor that he usually parries with.  “Ha ha,” Tim says from the bed, his voice weak. Everything about him feels weak right now — the lack of color in his face, the lack of volume in his hair, the lack of strength in his posture.  But especially the bandages wrapping his torso.  His next comment is much more genuine. “You know, if you wanted my attention, you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”  Tim opens his mouth to answer, but Damian doesn’t let him.  “Stop talking,” he orders.  Tim is almost offended, until he feels cool plastic pressed to his lips, and he understands.  He lets Damian help him drink. When he pulls away, he feels a gentle stroke along the side of his lip — Damian’s thumb brushing away a droplet of water.

This post by the amazing @shallowseeker was getting long so I'm making one here but I really do love Shal's phrasing of Sam being a bull in a china shop / being super clumsy with emotions in 12x16

I love this scene!! I love it!! Sam really does try to reach out and connect with people but he's far too focused on getting through to people with logic. He spends this time defending Jody and pushing Claire to tell Jody that he completely dismisses how Claire is feeling

Claire does try opening up, she tries to tell him that she still feels left out from Jody and Alex's relationship (something she's explicitly told Sam in 11x12) and feels insecure about it. But he kinda just steamrolls how she's feeling and tells her she needs to be handling things differently, when she really just wants to be heard. She snaps that they don't care because Sam is not listening, he doesn't care about how she's feeling

She specifically says if you care, treat me like an adult. She doesn't appreciate Sam's demands that either she tells Jody what she's up to or he will tell on her to her mom, like how condescending is that!!

This very much is the time for Sam to say that they do see her as an adult but the reason they want her to be more careful is because the dangers of hunting are about experience, not necessarily age. She lays it all out but Sam snaps and agrees that they ARE benching her specifically because they think of her as a stupid kid ofc she's gonna storm off

And then after all of that when it comes to Claire choosing whether she should take the cure that could potentially kill her, he's all for her making her own choices about life and death as if she's and adult lmao, and then in the following scene again presses her about whether she's going to tell Jody. It's just interesting!!

Not the spiderverse art book restarting the dying down Hobie age discourse. With the Japanese version implying he’s a ‘young boy’(I think that’s what it was either way either way) and the book saying ‘he’s much older than miles..’(smth like that either way either way) and it’s like seriously? Again? AGAIN?

The directors said it’s up to interpretation. And the only reason(w/ the exclusion of the people thinking he’s like 30 cause that’s weird and gross, re-examine some racial biases)that people are so adamant he is or isn’t a minor is because of shipping! Whether it’s with one of the spider teens or with OCs or justifying self shipping it’s weird! It’s weird that that’s the reason people are going nuts over this shit and dying on their respective hills. And let people have their HCs holyshit.

And to reiterate: it’s not proshipping/pedoshit if someone HCs Hobie as a teen and ships them with one of the spider teens. It’s not necessarily fetishization and is not pedoshit if people HC him as a young adult and do self ships or whatever else goes on there.

It’s fandom let people fuck around. Something doesn’t have to be justified as morally wrong for you not to like it. Stop trying to force your own Head Canons, key word HEAD as in the canon in your head, onto other people.

Hello beloved mutual...I'd like to hear about your lavender marriage fic (great minds think alike) and/or Steve's mom dies fic!!

Ahhhhhh the lavender marriage fic.... this one is actually kind of sad? Well bittersweet. Anyways post season four Steve and Robin are both struggling in their own ways. Steve is having this weird 'I almost had something with a guy who is now dead' emotion and Robin is having a 'this is the second time my best friend almost died right in front of me' emotion. So one night while they're drunk she shares that and she's like Steve if they put you in the hospital, I wouldn't even get to see you. And Steve suggests they get married

It's a joke, and then it isn't. It actually makes so much sense to both of them. So at graduation in the parking lot after the ceremony, Steve proposes. Robin knew this was going to happen, the rest didn't. Cue everyone inserting their opinions, getting mad, disagreements, and eventually, understanding. But TLDR Robin and Steve are kind of codependent, Steve is grieving a three day love affair that never got to become anything real, and they decide the best way to heal each other is with a marriage

I'm also going to talk about the Steve's Mom dies fic, because it hurts me so good. It's in my A New Perspective series, but not for a while. Basically Steve's parents get into a car accident because his dad was driving drunk, his mom dies but his dad lives, and Steve has to navigate planning her funeral while also trying to figure out how he feels about it all given that he and his mom used to be really close and it feels like one day she just randomly stopped caring. Everyone is trying to help him in their own ways, and eventually by the end of the fic he's moving in with the Byers, so up till this fic he's still at home.

I will state point blank that this fic is literally just self therapy for me having to do something incredibly incredibly similar LMAO
