i saw a video about the Queen in Dungeon Meshi and her skin colour. and people in the comments had all sorts of theories on why she and Flamela have such dark skin. and it made me realise that a lot of people haven’t seen this page of the Adventurers Bible:

Halloween monster races
Ever want to play as a monster? Of course you do, it'd be fun. But the statblocks you find for "monsters" aren't designed to work for player characters, and some of them are, well... "dumb as bricks" is one way of putting it. Here's a better alternative: reflavour the various PC races to get something that's nice and monster, and then stat up your monster character with class and background, as you wish.
This is specifically for D&D 5E; I looked at the mechanics of each race, to find ones that could fit well for the concepts. With different gaming systems, those exact things would probably not work; but hopefully this can provide inspiration.
Werewolf: shifter This isn't even sporting, as shifters are designed, both in mechanics and in flavour, as Lycanthrope Lite.
Ghost: eladrin or shadar-kai So they're not intangible, but teleportation can mimic that effect, somewhat; and the Dexterity bonus from elves also makes them harder to hit in general.
Zombie: half-orc You know how sometimes zombies get back up after you've killed them? Half-orcs have a thing that's pretty close to that.
Skeleton: any Listen, mechanics-wise, skeletons in D&D are pretty boring; pick whatever race you want, just say "and also this character has no flesh and their body is just bones".
Vampire: tiefling The "standard" tiefling gets Drama: The Cantrip at first level, which is great for any gothic mood-setting; but the different tiefling variants also fit with different vampire "focuses". Other races to consider, minimal-to-no reflavouring needed: changeling kenku tabaxi lizardfolk warforged Further details below the cut. Trans rights are human rights, and black lives matter.
((Also posted on Pillowfort, here.))
Werewolf (shifter)
The only thing difficult about using this, is getting the sourcebook; the shifter race is found in the Eberron stuff, and not the more setting-agnostic books. But once you have access to that, it's so easy it's barely worth going through. Depending on what type of "werewolf" you're basing this off of, it could be any of the subraces.
Suggested change/s: Maybe add something to the flavour, that the character looks barely humanoid while shifted? That's about it.
Ghost (eladrin or shadar-kai)
Both of these options are from Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, and they're elf subraces. Let's start with the "elf" bit first. Bonus to Dexterity makes them harder to hit, not sleeping is a pretty ghostly trait, and advantage on saves against being charmed could be played as "I'm dead, why would I care".
Both potential subraces have teleportation, but shadar-kai can only do that once per long rest while eladrin have it once per short rest. (However, shadar-kai resist necrotic damage, which is a very ghostly thing to do.) At third level, both of them get nice extras when they teleport; shadar-kai get more ghostly, with resistance to ALL damage, while for eladrin it depends on essentially their emotional state. It all depends on what type of ghost you want to play.
Suggested change/s: Swap the Elvish language proficiency for another language the character learned in life, or after death, if necessary. Describe the "teleportation" as going intangible and quickly moving.
Zombie (half-orc)
"Relentless Endurance" is the main mechanic draw to this race. Once per long rest, if they'd drop to 0hp, they can drop to 1hp instead. The bonus to Strength and Constitution also fit nicely with undead toughness. Proficiency in Intimidation is easily explained as being a creepy-looking dead thing.
Suggested change/s: swap the Orc language proficiency for any other languages that might fit better with the setting; if that happens to still be Orc, so be it. If you want to better represent how durable zombies are, swap the stat bonuses so it's +2 to Constitution and +1 to Strength.
Skeleton (any)
As stated above, skeletons in 5E are mechanically BORING. The only thing to distinguish them, really, is that they're vulnerable to bludgeoning damage, and that's not something that any race has, for the very good reason that it would make a character easy to kill at low levels. Focus on the descriptive aspects of this instead; describe how any blow resonates through the character's exposed bones.
Vampire (tiefling)
This one is a little involved, so bear with me here. As I said, Thaumaturgy is basically Gothic Drama in cantrip form; if you just want to use the PHB tiefling, this is a very good reason, and also the Charisma increase fits well with vampiric charm.
Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes however has tiefling variants, some of which might fit better with the kind of vampire you want to play. The Fierna variant is what you'd want if your vampiric vision is more about controlling others; it swaps out Thaumaturgy for Friends, and its spells are Charm Person and Suggestion. The Baalzebul, Dispater, and Zariel variants all keep Thaumaturgy as their cantrip, and only change the non-Charisma ability increase and the spells at levels three and five; since those traits weren't very vampire-centric to begin with, they're all just as viable as the "standard" tiefling. As for the others... listen, there's a LOT of vampire fiction out there, I can GUARANTEE that someone has published a book where ANY of those abilities are given as "standard vampiric traits".
Suggested change/s: Alter Hellish Resistance so it gives resistance to cold, instead of fire, damage; the undead are more known for going out in winter without a coat, than they are for their ability to be set on fire and not harmed. (Both fire and cold are "elemental" damage types, so it shouldn't mess with the balance.) Instead of "dies in sunlight", take the drow Sunlight Sensitivity; and bring Superior Darkvision along with it, to keep it from being too much of a burden. Have the unarmed attack deal one point of piercing damage, as opposed to bludgeoning damage, from the character's fangs; those are for feeding on prey, not killing their foe. Adjust the "racial" languages as appropriate.
Other stuff
Now, onto the other player races that work quite well as "monsters", without having to really do anything to them. (I know that "shifter" probably belonged here, but werewolves are too iconic to relegate to "and also" status.)
Changeling: They can change their physical features whenever they want. Off the top of my head, I can think of three completely different movies which have that as the gimmick of the main villain, and I don't watch that many movies.
Kenku: Mostly this is just that their lore is Messed Up, and I think they would be really cool as an Igor type of mad scientist's assistant. Also there's that potential plague doctor aesthetic.
Tabaxi: ...listen. Cat-people weren't always considered to be PRIMARILY the vehicle of furry fetishes.
Lizardfolk: They look like lizards and they come from swamps, you do the math.
Warforged: Let's get one thing straight: warforged are not robots. However, they fill many of the same ROLES as robots. Created for a specific purpose, not needing to eat or drink or sleep or breathe, tough physical form.... There's also some similarities to Frankenstein's Monster, if you want to go that way.

22 24 25 26 and (ill regret this) 29 for jeffery, nevarra, and bamner
22. What kind of student were they/would they be in high school?
Bamner was educated-- he was very studious, a good student and well rounded.  Would have been, like, a “jock,” --- I mean....you know, being a Knight, athletics.  Friendly, gets along with everyone--- helps everyone with their homework and projects even if you’re not in the same group or even in the same class.  (Doesn’t help cheat-- against cheating)
Jeffery was not educated because ~poverty~ -- but if he was, he’d be that shy, quiet kid that keeps to himself for the most part.  He’d be a really good, smart (maybe not straight A’s, but a mix of B+’s and A-’s), probably gets left to do most of the work in group projects but doesn’t complain.  That type of kid that he’ll open up to if you make the first move to socialize with him, but good.  Probably got along with the teachers more than his own age group.
Nevarra was Slave, so no edumacation--- but if they were, they’d probably be on the more trouble maker side.  Probably not straight A’s, but I genuinely believe that Nevarra would float pretty alright in grades-- and it’s not like they’re struggling in class, but because they approach assignments and projects differently.  I imagine that they do love to learn as a high schooler and try to learn as much as they can as fast as they can, but they hate the education system, and tries to, like....call BS on things and that’s what gets them in trouble. That’s my headcannon at least.
24. What is their outlook on life? What is their philosophy / what do they think in general about living?
Bamner:  “Life can be hard.  The world can be cruel and unreasonable at times.  Despite it all, don’t ever stop.  Don’t ever give up.  My biggest regret in life was that there was a time where I did give up-- but not anymore.  The is still much to hope for in this world.”
Jeffery:  “You’re not always going to understand everything in life-- good things will happen and bad things will happen without knowing why.  Sometimes people stay, sometimes they leave, and then you encounter someone new and you wouldn’t have expected that you can’t live without them.  As much as I like to look forward to a bright and happy future-- I want to live in the here-and-now.  I want to hold onto my loved ones and live in the present with them-- no matter how chaotic, confusing or terrifying everything might be in the moment, at least we have the Right Now together, because the future can be uncertain.”
Nevarra:  “Everyone deserves happiness.  Everyone deserves to live their own life to their fullest.  Do not treat others with injustice or look down on them-- everyone has the right to freedom in their lives.  When evil is at work, it’s our job to put a stop to it and encourage the good in the world.” (headcannon-- along the lines in a fancy manner?  That, and “Punch Bad Guys” vibes)
25. What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?
Nevarra is your character--- but they have been wild and great.  I just remember they were more chaotic in the start of the campaign, and, like......steal everything, try to own something because they grew up as a slave and suffered injustices and family torn apart and/or killed.  Like...they tried to steal a table, man.  They tried to be like, “I work alone”---- but then over time, they got a Fiance by proposing to them at first sight, they got hella rad friends they trust, they want to help everyone and hard core revolutions and all that stuff.  Finally, Nevarra has more self control (still wild chaotic, but you know), and in the Castle Storming, Nevarra grabbed a table....and used it to fight back, not really thinking of ownership and all that jazz and that’s character development.  I’m doing a horrible job at describing them I’m so sorry I’m really bad with other people’s OCs because perception differences I just what you to know I think they’re rad!
Bamner Lightsunder wasn’t a fan character-- all original.  Bamner was based off the concept of a Great Hero who’ve fallen far from grace-- not like, turned evil, but lost hope, motivation, etc.  Like most Veterans, he struggled with coping--- he suffered guilt and blamed himself for the fall of the Foreriver Kingdom (even though it really wasn’t).  He descended into alcoholism and suffered from war flashbacks.  He did his best to raise Jeffery, an orphan, and make him happy and tried to install good morals as he grew despite everything he himself was feeling or going through.  Even when Bamner felt there was no hope left in living, he wanted Jeffery to believe there’s always something worth fighting for--- even when you think you’ve lost everything.  Bamner was designed to be this kind of war hero, and he was designed so that the revolution was supposed to bring him out of this state-- so he can say to himself, “There’s still hope worth fighting for.”
Jeffery was raised by Bamner.  Straight up--- I didn’t think y’all were going to get much out of him other than that, but you did!  I designed Jeffery to be, like-- while Bamner as the old generation, those who witnessed and suffered from the Drow Invasion and the Fall of the Foreriver the most, Jeffery was designed to represent the new Generation, the young generation--- a generation who still believed that they can change, that there’s still a chance for them.  He didn’t experience the tragedy of the Foreriver Fall, lost most youths, so that’s what makes him different from Bamner.  I always knew that Jeffery was going to be quiet and introverted--- part of it is because of rough childhood start at a young age (Drow Tyranny), the other half is because that’s just...inherently who he is.  I do know, 100%, he was meant to be this Nerd-Knight Dude that just appreciates the wild personality that is The Party.  A homie.
26. Who is the most important person in their life? Why? Who is the least important to them (that still has an impact and why?
Bamner:  It was Queen Rohesia Foreriver, but now it’s Jeffery.  Queen Foreriver, he served as her Knight (and the kings, but whatever)-- they were close friends....  But after adopting and Raising Jeffery, by wanting to Jeffery have hope, it made room for the Party to say to Bamner, “Hey, why don’t you start believing, too?”  King Vexacion, the evil Drow Tyrant, is the least important to him--- he hates him.  He killed the King and Queen Foreriver and caused so much suffering to those he cared about.
Jeffery:  The most important person in their life right now is, straight up, Nevarra.  He loves them.  Like their relationship has been wild-- saying yes to a proposal to someone you just met in the middle of the fight?  He admits, that was such a crazy thing either of them did--- but know what?  He doesn’t regret it.  Considers it the best decision in his life.  Nobody knows this, but Nevarra was the first person Jeffery trusted to the same extent he trusted Bamner in that moment.  He enjoys, supports, appreciates, and trusts everything that Nevarra is, and they make him happy.    The least important to him that still has an impact--- straight up,King Vexacion.  Because he’s the reason why his family was taken, and he saw so much suffering that they caused to Bamner (just growing up and watching how much pain Bamner was holding onto).
29. If they could choose their epitaph for their grave, what would they choose?
Bamner:  “Mourn for me not, for I am with my Fellow Knights.”
Jeffery:  "Live with Love and Joy in your Hearts for I wish nothing but your Happiness.”
Nevarra:  “Born a Slave.  Lead a Revolution.  Died for Freedom.  We are capable of change” (serious), that or, “Coming back to Haunt King Vexy: Revolution Part 2″ (humorous).  Idk, I’M SORRY.
tHIS IS LONG, but I hope it’s worth it/that it’s good?  Sorry, I hope I got some good things with Nevarra~!  (I’m always shy about doing other people’s OCs--- just feel like I cannot get them right).  I hope you liked Bamner and Jeffery’s things at least.

If you’ve sent me an ask within 30 days… it's here!
If yours isn’t here, send it again!  I’m sorry it took me so long to get to you guys. It’s been a few crazy weeks, I’m generally a lazy person, and having more than 5 asks stresses me out so I avoid my inbox. So lets get to it!
@leonmashedpotatoes Hello there, I'm going to be running a 3.5 shackled city campaign and I'm excited about the campaign, but I'm nervous because my homebrew campaigns have been making me super overwhelmed and I don't end up having any fun playing and the session just ends anticlimactically. How can I keep myself from getting overwhelmed? I figured it'd be easier since I'm using a module but I'm still nervous that I won't end up having fun PLeS HalP
It depends! Why does it overwhelm you? Are you organized enough? Do your players ask you stupid questions that you didn’t think you had to prepare for? Get good at predicting those dumb questions, or get good at improv. Are they doing things you don’t want them to do, like going north when they should go south? Just change the stuff happening in the south to the north. Or block off the path. I’d also recommend taking a 5 - 10 min break. Get up, stretch, get some snacks, etc. AS for anticlimactic session ends, try to plan for a good stop or stop playing too long. Sometimes sessions I’m in go so long we basically end when someone falls asleep.
@meme-regime
Hi, gonna DM a campaign that revolves around 2 countries at war. The campaign will eventually build up to each country having a superweapon, but the players only know about the enemy's. They are sent to stop it and while gone the allied country's goes off accidentally. My question is, how should i get my players invested in the story and really care about and join one side, rather than just do mercenary work? Its a war over land, so neither side is necessarily in the right, morally. Thanks!
Ask them to come up with detailed backstories about where they’re from, any friends, etc. Put those NPCs in the town in the region you want. Maybe one side pays well, maybe one side is filled with [x “evil” race]. Have them meet NPCs that they themselves care about their land. You can’t really force anyone to care about anything. I always stressed myself out when I cared if they did, so I stopped caring. And weirdly enough they started!
@ anon
I want to start dm'ing a campaign. Any advice for someone who's never dm'd before?
Just read up on the rules, find a module you want to try, read through it, and relax!
@ anon
I need to create a D&D character for a group me and my friends are starting. How do I go about it?
I use the app “5th edition Character Sheet” and I love it. If you pay 1 dollar you get to level up easy. There are guides online to help you out. Reading the player's handbook also helps! Make sure you and your buds know what level you’re starting at, and if you’re doing point buy or rolling your stats.
@sevenawkwarddays
So, I just recently started DMing and my group really seems to enjoy inns and enjoys roleplaying visiting one. I'm running out of gimmicks and fun quirks to give them and was wondering if you have any advice or suggestions?
Watch/read/listen to media related to that and take inspiration from there. Look up historical inns, look up local bed and breakfast joints, etc. There are some cool podcasts about history, myths, etc.
@irl-yuya
I'm writing a campaign for my friends (in which I will be both DMing and playing a character) should I get ideas, just knowing my friends' classes and see what happens or wait until they've finished character building? (We're using fan made classes. Dancer, Death Weapon (based on the show Soul Eater) and Dragon Slayer Wizard (based on Fairy Tail.)
Its your campaign, you should make it no matter what they want to play. Their races and classes shouldn’t matter too much. I’m in the middle of writing a campaign where Drow are despised, much more than normal, and driven out of towns. I’d gently suggest my players not play Drow, but hey if they want I won’t stop them. They just need to know what they’re getting into. I’m not about to change my entire campaign just because they want to play Drow but not be treated unfairly.
@ anon
Im setting up a Lamia lair in an old desert ruin, and so far i have a Lamia, jackalweres, manticores, and slaves occupying it. I have a maze, main lair, and slave cages planned, but i want it to be bigger. Any ideas???
Honestly I have no idea what Lamia is and google didn’t help… so here are some maybe not so helpful suggestions.
Room of pots, some overflowing with rubies. When you dig for more, its sand. If one breaks, endless sand pours out.
A giant room with pillars, and a single set of stairs that almost goes up to the ceiling.
A room dedicated to giving gifts to gods. You probably shouldn’t take anything. Should leave something instead.
Giant crocs who can be appeased with hearts
@ anon
So, in my campaign, almost all the PCs have a dead sibling, so I try to emphasize familial bonds in the story. Would having the BBEG's goal to bring back their own dead sibling be keeping to the motif or just lazy writing? Any suggestions for alternatives or ways to make that more interesting?
Whats bad about bringing your sibling back? Obviously raising the dead is a bit iffy but if I was one of your players I wouldn’t hunt him down for doing that. Maybe his sibling is bigger, badder, and generally better at doing evil stuff.
@didthething
My players are wandering through a mountainous region, with occasional Kobold tribes interspersed. They are searching for an old tower surrounded by a thick, cloying fog. What might they run into while they are wandering about?
I don’t have a monster manual, but I’d look into that to help you out! Rocs could be funny, since they sound like “rocks”. Bullets? Birds, goats, other typical animals you’d find on a mountain. Maybe some mountain monks or something.
@candalable
I think this is totally doable for your first game. Neat idea! I think your plot is fine, I don’t have any points. Since this is set in one place, make this places VERY detailed. Names, ages, jobs of all npcs they come across, town export and import, etc. Not sure about puzzles since everything sets back to normal tbh.
@anon
I'm DMing a session and my players are in a campaign where they're in a magical rubix cube dungeon that rotates and opens paths to new rooms when they interact with certain parts of the room they're in. I'm trying to design each room to be unique in both it's layout and what kind of challenge they'll have to go through, and i've already got three rooms planned out, but i'm running dry on cool ideas for puzzles, traps, or fun battles for them to stumble into. There are 5 players if it helps.
@anon
Could read through my blog and see if you can apply/tweak any to a room. Look up popular brain teasers and puzzles, twist them to a dnd setting. A room with a long staircase, halfway up you notice a really tall being just staring at you. Narrow bridge to get to the other side, but its cut. You can climb down the ladder into darkness. The other side seems slanted enough you can climb up.
@literal-trash-heap
In an adventure I'm writing, I need a monster that could make ships mysteriously vanish, but still be suitable for first level players. I was thinking maybe something to do with ghosts and the ethereal plane, but any suggestions would be terrific!
Low HP powerful monster that actually only makes ship invisible and sets them off course? Otherwise your suggestion sounds great.
@anon
In the party I have, everyone seems to be focused on only the task ahead and they aren't finding creative ways to overcome challenges. How can I change this and slyly force them into some RP and world exploration?
You can’t make them play how you want them to. If you want them to get into room A, and the door is locked and you don't want them busting it down but finding the key… make it impossible to break down. Thats as far as you can force their hand though. Maybe they like the straight path? You can introduce some NPCs  that want to show them the world, or need an escort.
@anon
Several sessions ago the party I have been DMing helped an Armorer and a Weaponsmith get together. Now, they've been invited to their wedding. It looks like the party wants to go so I want to spice it up a bit. I'm thinking some sort of monster should attack mid vows but I'm not sure what would be good. The wedding will take place in a city set on the side of a mountain, and the players should be about level five by the time they get there. But I have no idea what the monster should be
@anon
Look in the monster manual? Maybe there is a crazed ex lover that wants revenge. Maybe some giant birds want the bird seed, or see shiny objects in the wedding like the rings or decorations.
@anon
im dming for my four friends, but two of them chose to be bards, and the other two are a cleric and a wizard. should i like, force some of them to change roles or is there someway for me to change monsters and enemies so they dont get completely junked
I’d tell everyone everyone’s class, see if they’re okay with that, and treat them like any normal party. I treat my normal parties like they CAN die… but if they’re nice and don’t do stupid stuff, they only almost die. I don’t force my players but if you’re cool with that and so are they, go for it I guess.
@cometgrace
I have a question, if you don't mind. I'm really interested in playing d&d but I have no friends who would be interested so I'm looking to play it online. The problem is, I have absolutely no experience with the game and I know pretty much nothing. What's a good way a get started and figure out the game? or a good way to just learn the ropes?
Read up the players handbook and go online! Roll20.net is something people use. You can also find game shops in your town that host [free] dnd nights with tables for you to use! For free! Most people are patient. Just be up front that that you’re new and do your best to play along.
@gxjira
i have an idea for a campaign and several little details for it but for some reason i cant connect them? so far i have a tiny town full of completely regular people, a well with weird powers, the lunar eclipse and a bad time
Sorry but there isn’t nearly enough information for me to help you out!
@synodicstudying
I have a new DND session this weekend and I'm dusting off one of my old character ideas- a wood elf druid with a chronically ill wife and a 10 year old stepson, driven by trying to find the cure for her wife. She's definitely a motherly figure, with an emphasis on healing and shapeshifting abilities who I mean to make into the glue of the party, but I just got the setting. We're in the Arctic. Any ideas on how to adapt her to fit?
I love your idea so much!  Why not have her travel from your beautiful home continent? The arctic supposedly has the oldest seed in the world, frozen in time. And its one of the things you need for your wife!
@anon
So my players have unknowingly contacted the first arcs Big Bad and asked them for work. The Big Bad has been scrying on them and is slowly recognizing them as a threat, not just an annoyance. He's in a really good position to get rid of them without losing his sterling reputation. Any suggestions on how he could do this without tipping his hand that he's a villain to the party until it's too late?
Having them do tasks that kind of fuck up the town, or powerful people only. Tasks like taking a package from the Yarl to X address, instead of Y making it look like you stole it.

Do the OCs asks you haven't already
A character you rarely talk about?
I’ve got multiple that I like to doodle but are still in development/don’t have names. I’m hoping to put myself on a schedule where I develop like one group of characters per week
If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?
Hmmmm that’s hard. Cinna is sorta the protag of the vague story I’m cooking up so I feel like the honor should go to her, but Liam, Dus or Avaral are some of the more complex characters i have developed.
Are your OCs part of any story or stories?
I’ve been using almost all of them in my main DnD campaign, and I’d like to make them into their own narrative-- but idk in what form. A game or comic could be cool.
Do you RP as any of your OCs? If you do, introduce one of your RP OCs here!
As much as @bass-fucker wants me to, not really cause a lot of them are defined by their reality
Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?
I’d whore them out i’m on the fence there cause i get excited when others enjoy my ocs but at the same time, they become an au version of themselves. Overall I’d let someone borrow them
Introduce an OC with a complicated design?
Beliel and Haniel have complicated designs in some of their less humanistic forms, esp when they’re full on and (o), which have extremely intricate moving parts
Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people?
Again yes and no because I’m super excited for others to know about them/enjoy them, but it’s a level of vulnerability that can be difficult to open, esp irl
Any OC OTPs?
Ahahhaha they’re all queer: Liam/Nerin, Nerin/Beliel, Brynhildyr/Jinn, Lukas/Dus, Belienda/a centaur I still gotta name, technically Haniel/Beliel tho that gets a bit weird-- I need to make Wyn and Cinna some gfs.
Any OC crackships?
Nerin gets between Beliel ‘n Haniel and has a wild time.
Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?
This could have it’s own post, but Liam and Kaly are fantastic singers, Avaral cant technically sing but has a great ear for mimicry; Belinda, On, Tanu, Beleil and Tyko aren’t too shabby. Most of the others are just okay but Cinna and Nerin are fuckin terrible
Your most artistic OC
Ni!! Likes landscapes n getting really creative w mixed media. On is actually great to but denies it cause he thinks he has no creativity
Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
A lot of characters have gone through various cycles of slight personality tweaks, but most haven’t gone through dramatic visual changes-- besides Cinna. I would actually like to play around with different variations to find the coolest
If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?
Liam because I would love to be his friend but also, I wanna kick his ass into being a better person
Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?
No actually, though many of their story arcs or relationships have been inspired by songs. That could be a fun way to make new ones tho
Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?
Jinn fuckin loves solving puzzles and kicking ass send her in. Nerin would p be able to make it pretty far but as soon as he sees one (1) demon pretending to be a child he’s gone for cause he has to adopt it
Your shyest OC?
Dus, Ragdoll, and On have difficulty putting themselves out there
Do you have any twin characters?
I tend to refer to On and Ni as the Twins all the time but.. are they? Hmmmm
Any sibling characters?
So many. Wyn/Dus/Nerin/On/Ni are all sibs, plus Belinda/Lukas/Dyan, arguably Avaral/Ragdoll, King/Clay, and a few more I need to develop
Introduce an OC who is not quite human
Legit all of them. The magi are the closest things to humans I have and thats questionable
Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer?
Liam, Cinna, Brynhildyr, Ni and Twoth all have their own styles. Dus, Wyn and On are more professionally trained. Liam and Ni like to have dance offs but I think Cinna would win
Has anyone drawn fanart of your OCs? If yes, maybe show a picture or two here (remember sources & permissions!)
Nope, tho it might be fun to an art trade with them sometime/get a commission-- its just hard to pick who. (actually an ol DA friend drew me some ol 2P hetalia ocs that were cute)
Something you like about your OCs in general
I really really want them to be flawed and make thousands of mistakes, and utterly fall to their own vices-- but in the end, all come out of it better than they were before. Except Ni she’s mostly perfect.
A character you no longer use?
Lamo I have some fantrolls and hetlaia ocs that I might lowkey turn into tieflings and drow.
Has anyone ever told you that you treat your OCs badly?
