I love the new comic so much! Not only is it breathtaking on its own, but it adds delicious moral complexity to the collection incomplete verse. The Archivists eliminating all the titans is still very much not a good thing, but now we can see that the titans were far from paragons of virtue. Subjugating and extracting tribute from the populace. The titans may have considered themselves benevolent overlords, but overlords all the same.

Just this one comic gives a window into why the locals might have been down with joining the Archivists hunting the titans down. Conflict is so much more interesting when neither side is fully right or wrong and I'm thrilled to see this will be so much more complicated than "Archivists bad, Titans good,".

But yeah, something I found interesting is that with creatures like Titans living among witches, there is a clear power imbalance between them, something that has many ways to go about. Especially considering how differently they are perceived by two groups of witches. On the Boiling Isles, they were seen as a source of all that's good amazing kind creatures of immense power, while Titan Trappers talked about them more like monsters. I like the idea there were societies or cults built around differnt titans, and the differences between how everyone interacted were more based on the personalities of those involved - leading to diffrent views on titans by the groups. And I know a cult focused on killing titans isn't going to be a source of reliable information on the titans. This is more about how they might have been perceived to make space for a third party to convince a group that murder isn't such a bad idea (it is, please don't)

Another thing is that all characters are people, not in the "humans" sense but there arent really levels of sentience. All characters have their own minds, whether they are titans, archivists, witches, etc. It's just different circumstances and abilities, and if the stakes were smaller and everyone was forced to sit down and reflect on what they were doing, it might have ended up much less deadly

The screens are from King's tales of his past that were very much kids imagination, but I like the idea that somewhere in Kings nursery those depitons were drawn showing a diffrent titan and it fueled his story. Debatable if it was an accurate and not a demonised depition though

Reading reddit bro theories can actually be fun and educational if it's just speculation about the supernatural happenings and the lore surrounding everything going on, completely seperate from byler. Now I wouldn't say this about all of them or the posts on there, but a select few do get input in the comments from people that are smart.

And this is because a lot of them are nerds. Like they know about weird shit most people don't. I remember reading something a while back about the significance of shadows in the story and someone went into grave detail about how it made sense for the revelation of the UD and everything to be tied to the meaning behind this repetition of shadows being talked about throughout the series. And it's like, they're so close. The only problem is they completely ignore a big lens of how to look at the show, so it's not like you can take everything they say as gospel or anything.

But still, it does help to get a different perspective. What happens often with people with differing interpretations is that you'll both tend to miss/pick up on things that others don't! And so there are pros to getting some brainstorming about theories over there... but then there's also the con of homophobia so its like, I'd rather not.

I have a snippet of a song in my head that's driving me nuts; I'm sure it's either something classical or part of an instrumental soundtrack/background music for some scene I love in a movie or TV show. Possibly a very famous one. Possibly stuck in my head because it's attached to a cool scene I have rewound a lot. And I couldn't get it identified via humming into What Is This Song apps so I Made A Thing.

I did this as fast as possible, so I know this is not the right key, and I neglected to properly account for the rests between notes so it's bit rushed, but it's roughly the correct melody. Enough that it should be recognizable if you know the song.

Key point is that the actual instrumentation is a violin or something like it/part of a larger string/orchestra section and at the end of this flourish it cuts off; either that's the end of the track or it rests and then transitions to something quieter.

It's very epic-sounding, which is why I thought maybe it was from Doctor Who (or, given my current headspace, something from Marvel), but I'm not confident in that. No matter how many times I run it, I just cannot quite shape any kind of context or mood around what it was attached to. Help a gal out?? 🙏

my pp is too big and i hate it. my pp is so large i just cannot lug it around any longer. it is so insanely huge and it has caused so many problems in my life. i cannot go to airports any longer as they think i am sneaking something in, so every time i go i get touched as they try to take my pp off thinking it’s a bomb. i cannot pleasure women as they are so horrified at the sight of my pp that they immediately run away. my mother and father disowned me after seeing the length of my shaft. not only is it extraordinarily long, it is just too thick. i cannot relieve myself as my hands are just too small to choke the chicken. my humongous pp has ruined my life. i resent god for cursing me with this large chunk of meat that just drags across the ground. doctors tell me i will never be able to get a pp reduction as they would have nowhere to put the pp. it would just take up far too much room… i had a girlfriend when i was a young lad, she loved me for who i was and did not care about my deformity. but one day i took off my jeans and my pp flung out smacking her and flinging her out the window. she died two hours later in the hospital. she was the only woman who ever loved me… my pp is too ginormous. it has caused problems for myself and the people around me. i will be ending it, my pp has taken over my life but it cannot take over a life that does not exist.
