Listen I've been watching a lot of movies with Gene Kelly lately and just wanted to dress up Clark as him. Even tho I think Gene Kelly looks more like Bruce or Brucie Wayne.

And if were talking about dance styles as a character study there could be a great case that Gene Kelly's dance style of using his whole body would be much more Bruce than Fred Astaire who Gene is often compared to who's dance style which is more foot-centric.

But Gene Kelly was known for dressing as the everyday man for his time and that's more Clark. Which doesn't matter.

Point being I bet Bruce has watched a lot of Gene Kelly movies with Alfred and you best believe if DC would allow a universe where Bruce could be at least bi he'd have a little bit of a crush on Gene when growing up and seeing his crush in the same atrie well ...

Whatever you do don’t think about how Bonnie constantly let her little Charlie boy wander the streets alone to play with strays and strangers, rarely bathed him, refused to listen to him any time he said he didn’t want to be around his uncle, left him alone with chemicals until he developed a dependence from an extremely young age, seemingly didn’t help him learn how to read or write or with anything involving school at all. Especially don’t think about her doing all this while constantly crying about not wanting Charlie to die, forcing him to comfort her and be her emotional support when she never did the same for him. How Charlie knows his mother doesn’t love him beyond a surface level and can’t stand being around her because of that. How Charlie thinks the only way to show his love for The Waitress is by, in his mind, caring for her (protecting her from thieves, checking her food, etc) because that’s the kind of love he always needed but never got.

Don’t think about any of it just stuff it down with brown and get sad and get high

This moment.

This moment right here. It made me think of that iconic line. The one we all know.

“Have you ever seen a little girl run so far she falls down? There’s an instant, a fraction of a second before the world catches hold of her again… A moment when she’s outrun every doubt and fear she’s ever had about herself and she flies... Maybe, if I fly far enough, I’ll be able to turn around and look at the world… And see where I belong.” 

This scene made me feel things. And by feel things, I mean I starting bawling in the theaters because I felt this on a metaphorical level. On an innate, human, wanting to be understood, level. This moment where everything is still. Where she's free- falling in a background of stars, allowing herself to float in the silence before igniting...

It's beautiful.
