💞The characters! It's the characters or bust for me. I think a lot of the reason why I read and write fanfic is because I want to spend more time with these characters, so character is key! And I am a bit of a technical snob. I try not to be! But if I see dialogue tags like "this is dialogue." She said. It doesn't matter how beautiful the writing is. I can't read it

💝Pragmatic Dreams, my swtor Lana/Jedi Knight chaptered fic. I truly didn't expect an audience for this one, cause I keep the two characters apart for the entire fic until the epilogue! But it was far more popular than I expected, and even five years later, I still get comments on it

🤍Three Afternoons, which is a genfic, of a sort. This was also from swtor, and showed the relationship between a Sith Warrior and her apprentice. Two very broken women dealing with a very broken system. It's a lot darker than I usually write, but I enjoyed writing it. (But no ship, no audience!)

i’m just gonna change the answer every time it’s brought up cuz tbh he’s a guy who’s got a lot of different sides to him. and i’m working on an official anteros playlist so i can just pick some songs from that. i think Can’t You See by Skylar Spence is such a good song for him during srtt.

my anteros playlist is specifically full these types of electronic/pop tunes bc i like to keep to a theme when i make specific character playlists, but i think there’s this certain era of sleazy electronic/pop/pop-punk from the late 2000s-2010s that i think captures him extremely well? this sense of pride and luxury, overconfident melodies overlayed w these lyrics of utter misery. just this great dichotomy that i think truly expresses the tone of srtt and, by extent, anteros during that time.

1. Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as the ideas strike?

Daydreaming is definitely like 40% of writing for me lol. Especially when I'm walking, I like to imagine scenes and then write them. Kinda makes it easier?

Sometimes, though, I need to sit down asap and write things down if I have a single solid enough idea :D

35. What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted?

Honestly, I have many :D Hard to pick one! I would say The Leviathan's Song about the Outsider before him becoming a god (Dishonored). The Hanahaki disease with Uldren x Jolyon, In Our Garden. And many others :D Some are also currently taken down, but I am still fond of them!

56. Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?

On one hand, yes! I could improve them. But on the other, those were my writing experiences and my learning steps, so I am glad they are the way they are! :)

Iris, love of my life, I am kissing her on the forehead at all times

THE most beautiful woman alive, always looked good even in some of the less than flattering and age-inappropriate outfits they chose for her in later seasons. like. more than anyone else Iris will make me stop mid dashboard scroll to be like ohhhh because there'll be a gifset where she looks so beautiful.

also while ppl behind the scenes did NOT treat candice patton well, i actually feel the show didn't do iris too dirty. like. she's a powerful business owner with a media empire, she's won a pulitzer, she is adored and revered by her husband (as she should be) and her friends and family, and is a respected figure in the city at large, and i would like to give kudos to the show for being the first piece of media i have ever seen to tackle a character's complex feelings about pregnancy for a pregnancy that was planned and wanted. like iris chose to have a baby but she still becomes overwhelmed and freaked out by the ways it changes her body and how little control she has over the process and those feelings are respected and not treated as wrong or silly and as someone who is very squicked out by pregnancy and childbirth and all that, i REALLY appreciated that they did that.

they could have stood to do a better job of developing her personal relationships outside of barry/team flash imo, and im sad about how she wasn't as present in some of the later seasons, but generally i was happy with how things went for her and she was always a joy on my screen every week. no matter how bad the plot sucked i could rely on iris's parts being worth watching

I have so many feelings about her but i don't tend to want to put her through the wringer as much as my other blorbos, I just want to treat her tenderly 🥺 that being said, in my Flash!Iris fic, she goes THROUGH it, my girl has suffered and will suffer again. i'll feel bad about it though
