love how karasuno's main characteristic is that theyre scrappy as fuck and hate losing. they dont wanna lose to their rivals and they dont wanna lose to their teammates. they grow into these people that choose to step up to the plate over and over bc they have teammates they trust to support them if they fail, and if they choose to stay back then they're only disappointing themselves. it's so great.

j saw a tweet ab kiyoomi watching msby play and like using it to help get him through uni cause he can’t wait to play with atsumu which is so valid but ALSO nerd omi who watches msby matches and taking notes on his (future) teammates and their strengths and weakness and how they like to receive sets and receives and where they’re strongest on the court.

Random Haikyuu headcanons because I've finished my third read through and I'm suffering (mostly Fukurodani because I say so). If I have others, I'll just add them here.

-Sarukui Nagito has a huge celebrity crush on Washio and all the older Fukurodani members EXCEPT for his cousin. He has a crush on Onaga and Anahori too, but he's completely unimpressed with Saru. Komi and Konoha always laugh their ass off whenever he mentions it.

-After the timeskip coach Yamiji sometimes asks Konoha to help at practice because he's the closest ex member that still plays, and he can teach the kids basically everything. Sometimes he brings his team along as well.

-Komi becomes to Udai's volleyball manga what Suga Kenta is for Haikyuu.

-Everything Daisho and Kuroo know about provoking, they've learnt from their sisters.

-Bokuto and Iwaizumi are the kind of persons everyone at some point has had a crush on, whether they admit it or not.

-When the Sendai Frogs play, Futakuchi goes to watch just to make fun of Kogane's shitty sets (which aren't as shitty anymore, but he likes to think they are).

-In his third year, everyone is scared shitless of Yahaba, the rookies but also the other second and third years. Watari is the only one that manages to have a normal conversation with him without running away.

-Ennoshita and Yamaguchi 100% learned how to act as good captains from Daichi, meaning they're nice and all, but when they get angry you better run the fuck away.

-Every time MSBY and EJP play against each other, Osamu and Akaashi (or whoever from Inarizaki and Fukurodani is present) have a field trip making fun of their old teammates.

-At some point MatsuHana met SaruKono and Suna like in that official final art, and they became the greatest gossips of Japan and Argentina.

-The first time Kuroo appeared in one of Kenma's streamings as a JVA member, the chat went crazy, one half because of volleyball, the other half because what is the hot guy in a suit doing here??

-Nobody knows when and how Daisho and Mika break up and get back together every time. Not the Nohebi guys, not their families, nobody. Kuroo knew that one time because Mika told him (yes, they do have each other's number. Yes, he also has Daisho's, but they only text to insult each other).

-Shirabu and Hirugami have probably met at some point, may it be in university or at an Adlers game. If they did, they're first interaction was to stare at each other for one solid minute before finally talking.
