also as a bonus, any thoughts on the official playlists for the characters?

I think I'll start off with my thoughts on the official playlists for the characters as my thoughts are more shorter. I like them! You can tell the characters are older with their tastes lmaoo. Theyre still pretty good though. My personal favorites are Juan Carlos' and Juanín's as they're more my tastes lol. I feel like the playlists say something about the characters. Off the top of my head, Juanín's playlist is filled with sad love songs with themes of longing for something good. And his character just so happens to deal with shitty friendships. I feel like we can assume he values friendship a lot because he tolerates so much of his friends' bullshit and still sticks around and cares for them a lot. And ofc he wouldn't like that so I can assume he just wants better. At least, that's what I get from it. I just care about Juanín a lot 😭

As for og Poli, I have several thoughts. First off, he's very funny 💀 I love how mean he can be like you go girl. Policarpo is honestly, just a superficial person. He's fake and a snake and he has pride. He gets friends and family he knows for the top rankings. He'll take bribes for who'll be the top ranking. (as seen in that one season finale) He's one of the several mean, superficial, and insecure characters on the show (ie tulio, bodoque) He has gossip on everyone and is willing to reveal things to humiliate others or just for entertainment. He is willing to screw others over for whatever reasons. And of course, when you're in an already mean environment, you're gonna get mean. I feel like bc of all the puppets' insecurities and their proneness to being mean, it ends up making the others even meaner in a bad cycle. Policarpo cares about his image. A lot. He is very careful to keep a tidy image. When it got revealed that he was bald, this caused an international scandal (💀). And it genuinely hurt Policarpo a lot. He had to rely on his friends to reassure him (and even then they still initially laughed at him. Assholes 💀) He cares about not only his public image but even his image amongst his friends. None of his friends even knew he was bald (and tbf, I wouldn't tell them that either they fucking suck) The first time he presented feminine, everyone was surprised. While it seems like they know Policarpo, they also don't at all. And Poli probably does that on purpose. Maybe bc his friends are shit. Maybe bc he just doesn't trust anyone with personal information like that. He doesn't trust them to present femininely more often around them. He doesn't like to admit that he's dressing femininely whenever he dresses very femininely. Even when his friends already know. It's sad to think about honestly. He's one of the several characters with low confidence in being their genuine selves and would rather cover it up with a (near) perfect image, superficiality, and meanness. They try to be in control of their image as much as they can but that's just impossible. To get over this unhealthy way of coping, they'll have to realize it's alright to be imperfect. But in an environment where everyone laughs at each other for the smallest things + general mistreatment, that's near impossible.

Idk how to explain it but this series feels so latino bc of the way the characters cope like actual traumatized/mistreated latinos do. Idk man 💀

Just--wtf did Riverclan do with Reedpaw when everyone was rescued? Even in Canon? Like, poor fucking Mistyfoot--two of her kits are with her, but her third and final kit is still in enemy territory, still underneath Tigerstar's paw, Blackfoot is still his mentor. If even a *hint* of Reedpaw's true parentage got out, he'd be fucked. He and Leopardstar would both probably be dead, Leopard carrying Tiger's legacy or not. Tbh I wouldn't doubt Tigerstar'd be petty enough just to kill all of Riverclan itself. Like...Greystripe, you fucking LIVED in Riverclan for a few fucking MOONS. How do you forget or at least NOT recognize/remember the queen that nursed your kits' own kits? You told Firestar you visited them every chance you had. Like...Grey, I get you were worried for you daughter, but dude...you left a child who you saw as a baby to a toddler (thereabouts) under a war criminal. Someone you KNOW had a subordinate who was not against poisoning kits with deathberries. Someone who tried to kill his OWN apprentice. Then, in the Leopard AU, this kid is stuck in the apprentices den during the rescue. Leopardstar and Mudfur cannot get him out without alerting Shadowclan Apprentices. They chose Mistyfoot and Featherpaw's heath and safety (which, at this point it's better than nothing.) And Misty has to choose Feather when Mudfur leads them out of their prison. He then gets to see the absolute horror of his LEADER, murdered, loose a life, to this Monster, see her go through what his mother did, only that IT'S far, far, worse than anything that'd been done at this point. He sees his clan's medicine cat turn against their leader, verbally agreeing and harassing her...just... this poor boy.. In Canon, Misty Au, Leopard AU it all sucks. Dark AU, not so much--still horrific, but Blackfoot is Reed's father in that one, so as his mentor Reed's safety is somewhat assured had Tigerstar not realized Reedpaw was Misty's kit, and that Misty's kits had not all died.

heck if i know. i'm like. 100% sure mistyfoot's kits were forgotten about. they were nameless characters for a Long time. reedpaw isn't in any of the allegiances for riverclan in tpb. i...like. i've read tpb how many times? and i honestly didn't know mistyfoot had kits until i checked out the warriors wiki and was like. oh. she had kits? with blackclaw? what the fuck?

i wouldn't put money on it, but i have a feeling the scene involving mistyfoot and her kits could be read as riverclan kits in general. again, wouldn't put money on that, it's just a hunch.

anyway, i kind of just. mistyfoot could have had another litter in the year between tpb and tnp, or during po3, or literally any other time and then we wouldn't have the reedpaw problem (tm).

my tangent on the reedpaw problem aside;

oh yeah, he's so fucking dead. imo prob not him and leopardstar -- riverclan would Riot if their leader was killed, and tbh, so would part of shadowclan -- but him and blackclaw. damn.

and yeah? idk? god. i don't know. tbf he's not in prison i don't even know. altho. actually, to give greystripe some credit -- the fact that mistyfoot doesn't ask to go back for him and how risky the riverclan rescue is, i think "not going back" is actually a reasonable choice.

honestly do we have an erin statement that reedwhisker is part of the same litter as prim and co. it's not on the wiki. i want to know. because i think everyone just assumed he was and -- maybe there is a statement but i want to see it.

because mistyfoot is not the type to abandon her kit. like. what? no. mistyfoot? mistyfoot? my brother just died but i am fucking fine get me the hell out of here mistyfoot? no i know i'm starving but like hell you can apprentice featherpaw to someone else mistyfoot? you're telling me SHE would leave a kit behind without so much as a word about him? fat fucking chance.

in conclusion, unless someone can provide evidence an erin said reedwhisker was part of mistyfoot's first litter, i'm going to assume the intention was that he was a second litter.

and back to the actual topic, now that i'm done for real hopefully.

yeeep. he can't be rescued. and -- mistyfoot has very few choices here. featherpaw is dying, reedpaw is safe for the moment, she won't get another chance. she's not happy about it -- she misses him so terribly much -- but she doesn't. yeah. god. that angst. i hope like. someone somehow just Tries to let reedpaw know it wasn't voluntary.

(i'm not Much One for "you left me you didn't love me" angst if you Can't tell. a pinch of it for flavour, but not as a main plot line, y'know? nothing wrong with it it's very good i just don't like writing it.)

god -- god. in my mind tigerstar takes the life from leopardstar privately bc riverclan would fucking riot but just. reedpaw realizes what's happening. so he follows bc of course he does. he's not the reason tigerstar knows what's going on, but he thinks he is.

and he's there hiding and he sees tigerstar kill leopardstar and hears him tell mudfur what's going to happen and he's sitting there in a bush or something just trying not to so much as twitch because he's so dead if tigerstar finds him. he's so fucking dead.

so he just sits there until long after tigerstar and leopardstar and mudfur have left and when he gets back to camp everyone wonders where he went and he can't explain.

and it feels terrible but he realizes tigerstar is still gloating over everything because as pissed as he is that he lost mistyfoot -- now he's truly taken out every thread of riverclan's leadership.

(frankly no i still think tigerstar's most effective control method for riverclan would be to tell stonefur that if he messes up, he'll kill the apprentices and/or mistyfoot and/or rape mistyfoot, and do leopard au on leopardstar, therefore getting all 3 riverclan leaders in blind obedience to him. he'd have to be much more discrete about leopardstar, maybe convince the clans it's a political thing, i'm not sure. the point is, nothing would Visibly be wrong, all three leaders are just going for this, and so of course riverclan would go along with it. but tigerstar's too much of a prideful asshole to appreciate another culture in enough depth to manipulate them effectively.)

anyway. so reedpaw realizes like -- ah yes. i'm escaping punishment because tigerstar is distracted. and -- god. yeah. oh my god.

and at first like -- he doesn't like. witness anything. tigerstar has some sense of subtly. not a ton -- but enough. direct evidence would be a problem. so no, reedpaw is just sitting with this knowledge in his head. mistyfoot escaped and she was carrying tigerstar's kits (was she? he hadn't seen her he misses her so much he hopes prays she's safe), so now leopardstar is going to.

and the thing about letting things sit like that is that the brain is very, very powerful.

(He called my mother a whore, Reedpaw thinks, and he wants to throw up when he remembers it.

Tigerstar and Leopardstar and Mudfur are having a conversation again and Reedpaw thinks of how Tigerstar would wrap his tail around Mistyfoot, like they were mates, and he wonders what Tigerstar would say if he didn't have to pretend.)

so. you know. yeah. good angst oh my god.

and now mudclaw has flipped from -- one of his best protectors to a great enemy. see, here's the thing. tigerstar only tells mudfur he's going to make him watch. leopardstar ain't dead that long. so reedpaw doesn't know what shadepelt knows and shadepelt would tell him but if shadepelt tries to talk to reedpaw...bad for the both of them.

and reedpaw is around blackfoot and blackfoot is a good guard and how long until -- reedpaw is asked to tell blackfoot something while blackfoot is on guard and he hears mudfur say, "You're a slut like your mother" and he -- can't. maybe he freezes, can't remember what he was supposed to tell blackfoot.

("Spit it out," Blackfoot says, but Reedpaw can't remember why he's even here.

"Even your own father thinks you're just a useless whore," Tigerstar says. He's not speaking loud -- Reedpaw would have to strain to hear the words if his entire world hadn't narrowed down to them.

"Reedpaw," Blackfoot growls. "Spit it out.")

hm. yes. god. bad. good. damn.

and yes the dark au seems like. once again "the angst is very different so i don't know how to rank its magnitude because emotions don't work like that" but. on one hand -- his dad. protection. safety. good. on the other -- his dad really did let two of his siblings die and his mom get raped, huh.

i’m........ i’m guessing you’re asking what my fave characterizations i’ve done in my fics for every bangtan member? if ur asking what i like in general, then i answered that too HJASDHJASHD but gotta say... thank you for even liking jungkook in borrowing of bones LIKE... you’re a real one for even reading that ;w; i don’t think very much of that fic (even though i... literally died for it... 40k words in 48 hours really killed me) but i did like the way i characterized jungkook in that ngl...

uhhhh for yoongi, i’d have to say tlhc? not surprising to anyone ever, but i just really love that little bitch... perhaps it’s because he’s a lil bit too much like me (minus the fact that he ended up with the love of his life BUT YA KNOW... IM GONNA SPEAK IT INTO EXISTENCE FOR ME) and i think tlhc!yoongi really made me realize how rewarding it is to be vulnerable with my characters... would do again (and add even more angst flavor next time uwu) and that applies for every yoongi fic tbh... i love it when people write him as multifaceted, when they give him layers and layers of personality. he’s neither too kind or too harsh... he has motivations, aspirations... bonus points if he’s a ride or die for his friends but would rather perish than let them know he cares... I LOVE TSUNDERES OKAY IT’S MY WEAKNESS ;w;

namjoon... well, wish on a fish!namjoon has to be my fave too HSAJDHJAS i just... love juxtaposing his ingenuity with stupidity... i tend to enhance that aspect of him bc i think it’s hilarious, and there’s just something incredibly endearing about it? especially when he’s paired with another person who is clearly more level-headed but with their moments of stupidity too (mayhaps thats why i love namgi and namjin a lot lol) but umm!! i just love it when people make him this bumbling fool with too much love to give... he’s just a ball of feelings and i love it when a fic focuses on his road to understanding how to accept/lean into those emotions ;w;

SEOKJIN... y’all already know how i like to characterize him... bold, stupid, kinda insane, but with his soft moments. i love it when people make him hilarious bc he really is funny irl, though i admit i love fics where they make him incredibly tender as well. i like it when he’s kinda tsundere but not in the same way that yoongi is, more like “i care about my friends but i’m gonna be a shithead about it and you’re gonna have to pry my insanity off my dead hands before i’d EVER show you how much i actually really fucking care.” and i think the fave seokjin i’ve ever written was like... fox rain!seokjin. i know that fic lowkey diedt and you’ve only seen his chaotic side in that fic, but believe me... he’s got a fleshed out personality and i just gotta get around to writing it :^)

gotta love tlhc hoseok in this household... sorry folks... for always making him sad... I CAN’T HELP IT... i think i’ve read only angst hoseok fics in the past two years or so... there’s just?? something so mysterious about him irl, like??? how is he so positive and kind all the time but he never really shares as much as the other members?? he and seokjin befuddle me the most i think, but i do appreciate how much they appreciate privacy. still tho... it’s morphed my tiny pea brain into wondering “what if hoseok suffered. would it not like be the sun imploding? the world would literally be in CHAOS” and i like writing heavy angst aus so there’s that :^) OH WORD also fave fic trope is when hoseok is all happy-go-lucky at the beginning of a fic but when x character gets hurt or smth, he goes full “i’ll take care of it.” and. that’s kinda hot ^q^

[insert lame excuse here] BUT FOR REAL i kinda like a “darker” jimin in my fics... like, maybe even a lil unhinged? i like fics where people make him slightly bolder, maybe a little more cunning... i’m all aboard the slytherin jimin express like... there’s something so nice about making him the bad guy?? sweet lil smiley boy is actually an asshole?? but dw i’m a sucker for a good redemption arc so he’s never REALLY an asshole on purpose... i’m too much of a softie to let the bad guys stay bad without a reason

IM SORRY) so i can’t say which tae i’ve ever written that was like... my fave... but i do love it when people make him really perceptive. as you can tell by now (assuming u’ve gotten this far into the ask... congrats btw i’m a rambling FOOL), but i’m a sucker for “gap” personalities so i like it when people make him appear to be the unassuming kindhearted fool but turns out he’s really perceptive and “takes no bullshit ever” kinda vibe. love that for him. also i love when people make him an outgoing person but be clearly more attached to his closest circle of friends,,, he might always have a crowd of people around him, but bangtan really do be his family 4 lyf ya kno???

and lastly... mister jungkook... GOD i hate love him but i did enjoy writing him in borrowing of bones... but to be honest, my fave jk isnt even written out yet!! it’s fox rain!jungoo!! omg you guys... you’re gonna love that lil fucker... he’s so... [clenches fists] like WOOOOOO you will not be prepared for that lil idiot... i think i’m most “well-known” for writing him as a weeb/himbo hybrid bc it’s always the funniest and easiest style for me, but i also do love writing him as the soft n sweet idiot with too much love to give... Female Wei Wuxian AU where Wang Lingjiao goes to Lotus Pier and gets Yu Ziyuan to whip Wei Wuxian then says to give Wei Wuxian to the Wen Sect as a servant (because Wen Chap thinks F!WWX is attractive) which causes Yu Ziyuan to slap her because she's not giving Wei Wuxian to someone like that.

1. Invite to dinner with parents

1. Kate. Listen... as mentioned in the last one of these, I love her. Providing my parents weren’t homophobic (l m a o) (also i’m just assuming this is a date scenario bc... why else would you invite someone to dinner with the ‘rents, I would 100% invite Kate, okay. She’s gorgeous and smart and nice and ? I love her. Okay.

2. Ben. Listen. I know. BUT, he’s really smart and a great conversationalist. He’d be the smartest person in the room, and ALSO my bf, and I’d be Chuffed.

3. Juliet. She’s really nice, and really cool. What more needs said? Plus, her smile lights up the room. PLUS, my parents have a habit of... irritating me, and the thought of Juliet giving my hand a reassuring squeeze under the table at this happening? Wonderful. Beautiful.

4. Jin. Like, assume for all of these that I’m not talking about pre-Island Jin, since... y’know. He has some stuff he needs to work through, and also the language barrier is a thing. BUT after some time on the Island, he’s? An actual sweetie pie? It kills me. He’s a doting dork and bringing him home would be a delight.

5. Claire. Okay, I’m gonna go ahead and say that... Claire has a hard time in this thing, okay. It’s not that I dislike her. It’s just that I like her, whereas I love the other four. So. Claire, I’m sorry.

But tbf, she is extraordinarily sweet. Her adorable little face and accent would win over anyone’s parents, for sure.

5. On the run from corrupt authority figures with

1. KATE. KATE KATE KATE KATE KATE. Both because she has the experience, and because this is... listen. I’m a sucker for characters going on the run, ESPECIALLY if it’s from corrupt authority figures. Like. Mein gott. My jam right there.

I actually started writing a one shot which was an AU in which Sayid and Kate were on the run together. I... really need to get back to that. You might appreciate it, nonnie, and anyone else who’s reading this and is a Lost fan.

2. Ben. He’s a smarty pants, okay. He’d know what to do.

3. Juliet. Listen, she man not have Kate’s experience, but she can kick butt, this girl. 10/10, would entrust her with my life.

4. Jin. The guy’s had some amount of experience with this kinda thing. Plus, he’d be nice company.

5. Claire. She’s sweet and lovely, but I feel like she’d panic even more than I would. Which. Understandable, but not exactly helpful. Sorry, boo.

1. Juliet. I’m pretty sure she’s the only person here who we know for sure knows how to fix cars.

4. Jin. He’s a guy who’s seen some violence. If it comes to it, he could probably help me fight our way out.

5. Claire. She’s a delicate little flower, okay. I don’t need another installment of Claire & Ethan to make me sad.

1. Kate. Because if you’re not handcuffed to your crush, what’s the point?

2. Juliet. I mean, she’s a doctor of some description. This is a pretty safe bet.

3. Jin. He’s probably seen his fair share of gnarly wounds and knows how to deal with them in a pinch.

4. Claire. Again, she’s a Mum. Possibly one of the most comforting creatures known to man.

Leaving Misty for the quest would have been such a huge thing for Feathertail in this au. I don't think it really hit me until now how out of her comfort zone she went to help the clans! If she had a panic attack, or a ptsd flashback during the quest, would any of the other chosen cats know how to help her? Would they even be able to?

yeah oh my god it's such a big deal i'm breaking here's an excerpt for you:

"Are you going to be okay?" Feathertail looks at him, narrowing her eyes. "You know. Leaving." Feathertail isn't good with strangers. Feathertail isn't good without Mistyfoot and Stonefur and her kits. Feathertail isn't good without a den and nest to retreat to. "I've been through worse." Stormheart sighs. Been through is one word for it.

like yeah!!! oh my god it's so hard for her to leave!! (also stormheart u should put urself on the damn list she loves u too u idiot <3)

but that's also. why stormheart goes with her. bc frankly at this point in time, she is not in shape to go on a journey with a bunch of strangers and tawnypelt, even if nothing actively went wrong, the whole thing is just a breeding ground for panic attacks and unhealthy coping mechanisms and just -- feathertail shutting down.

so stormheart goes with her.

but it's seriously out of her comfort zone. it's really, really hard. she's at the point where like if something goes wrong her only way of feeling safe again isn't to find mistyfoot, but she's still at the point where it's her massively preferred option.

not to mention -- she doesn't have a real nest, which is (a) bad for her physically and (b) bad for her mentally, there's limited food options, and then tawnypelt gets hurt -- the whole thing is just a long series of triggers.

of course there's just the fact that tawnypelt is there, but like -- okay first, you all know she's there so there's no point in bringing it up, and second, the fact that anyone got hurt is bad (re. feathertail's mental health specifically, not just in general), but also for tawnypelt in specific to get hurt is bad.

anyway. stormheart goes with her, and feathertail trusts him, and that works, but he's also...he doesn't always think things through. the reason tawnypelt and feathertail get in their first argument is in part because stormheart leaves brambleclaw with them to go hunting with crowpaw and squirrelpaw.

because he trusts brambleclaw and feathertail isn't the type to argue about this sort of thing. definitely not in front of tawnypelt.

so. when feathertail has a panic attack, flashback, nightmare, etc., he's good for that.

"You're okay," Stormheart says. She presses her face against him, and he licks the top of her head. "You're okay," he repeats, and she whimpers, the sound muffled by Stormheart's pelt.

good brother stormheart. i'm angry at you for not including urself in the list of things-that-feathertail-likes-to-have-to-feel-safe, but alas, at this point in time, you don't.

but he doesn't say, avoid leaving feathertail alone with brambleclaw and tawnypelt until after that whole situation plays out.

Brambleclaw goes hunting the next night. Tawnypelt knows it's because Stormheart hasn't left Feathertail's side, but it's hard not to believe that it's also because he doesn't want to be around her.

but then he does.

the others -- well. tawnypelt would literally make everything worse. she is making everything worse just by being on the same trip as feathertail. she's -- still trying to figure out how to deal with and cope with this. i moved the quest up by like a year just to make sure everyone's trauma was still fresh.

"And then I held you down when he tore off your claw. I remember, Feathertail," because how do you forget that? How do you forget seeing your father press the paw of a whimpering — apprentice, kit, press the paw of Feather into the ground, and bite off her claw? How do you forget the sound and how your claws dug into her chest and how she didn't stop screaming? Tawnypelt watched, because she thinks it's the only time Mistyfoot ever even tried to leave.

like yeah -- how the fuck do you deal with that?

brambleclaw doesn't inherently make things worse, but if feathertail is already in a bad state, he's definitely not going to help, and he's probably going to make matters worse. also, he's tawnypelt's brother, and that colours matters, tigerstar resemblances aside.

crowpaw is probably feathertail's best bet -- he's one of the first kits to be born in windclan after a genocide. not the first, but one of them. there's...nightcloud before him? i'd have to check stuff and i'm lazy, but he's one of them. and his mother lost a litter to genocide and hunger, and his mother's sister lost a kit directly to tigerstar, so he has the best understanding of ptsd, i think.

or perhaps, of how to best approach situations? and he looks like frogpaw, which is...helpful? kind of? a little?

She stands, watching him cautiously. Crowpaw sits back. She reminds him of Morningflower, he realizes. Morningflower hasn't done this since Crowpaw was a young kit, and he remembers how helpless he felt at the time. "We fell asleep," he says. "We made camp, and we fell asleep. The others probably went hunting." "They left," Feathertail says. "Right." "And if you want to find them, we can do that." Feathertail closes her eyes. When she opens them, her blue eye is focused. "We can wait," she says. "I'm sure they'll be back soon."

he's -- got the right idea. and he does actively help in this situation. like he correctly identifies what's going on, and he doesn't know what the right thing to do is, but he tries. and he helps.

now. part of why this happens is because stormheart is gone because again, stormheart is kind of an idiot who doesn't always think things through. (it's not his fault tbf that feathertail and mistyfoot don't talk about things ever. so. this one is less, "stormheart being an idiot" and more "he has no way of knowing that leaving feathertail to wake up alone is a bad idea.")

but crowpaw has probably the best skill set.

(as for squirrelpaw -- not to leave her out, but she's young, kind of tactless, and feathertail feels like she needs to protect her. so she's not really going to help a situation.)

uh. in summary: this au doesn't have crow/feather, but ig it does have crowpaw helping feathertail through some times platonically?
