And this genocide is nothing new. It's just been ramped up after another organization that was once funded and armed by the US using your labored wealth murdered innocents. Everywhere you look, your tax dollars are used to murder the innocent. Wake the fuck up to what's been happening. This is nothing new. President after president, congress after congress, the same thing has been happening over and over again and you're the one paying for it. Tax resistance is resistance against war and genocide.

this ^report is from 2020. However- much news has since been reported about the staggering increase of wealth 'at the top' since COVID began.

"...Canadian capitalism is exposed in the study as an oligarchic social order.

According to the PBO, the share of wealth held by the top one percent of Canadians is 25.6 percent. This is almost double the estimate of 13.7 percent given by Statistics Canada."

My (recently wealthy) older sister and her husband bought some land and got ducks and they have this big plan to grow crops and sell produce and she keeps talking about "homesteading" 🤢 and since she lives in an overwhelmingly white community it's unlikely any of her farm friends are gonna call it out, so I keep meaning to like. Look up some books to gift her for xmas that offer better terminology and an At Minimum Less Colonial perspective and introduction to the concept of a voluntary land tax/land acknowledgement before she gets into this stuff too deep and starts making money off it (bc I know she won't take it on my authority) and I keep forgetting to google resources. So this is both an accountability post for me to not forget to do this but also a request for recommendations if any of y'all have some tyyyyy
