It is legitimately so funny to me that Krennic is not only a part, but the head of the Tarkin Initiative.

Tarkin has this super secret imperial think tank and his biggest rival is the leader of it.

Which makes me wonder if Tarkin founded it because he wanted control over Project Stardust or if he had already founded it and decided Peoject Stardust needs to be under its control.

Also the potential for the bickering- Tarkin calls Krennic stupid and incompetent on the regular and Krennic can just go "sorry, please remind me, who is the leader of your super secret think tank?"

Tarkin wanting him to stitch the logo on the uniform and krennic, for once in his life, being like "I'm pretty sure that would be against uniform regulations, governor~"
